Welcome to the sixth and final phase of The Lunar Chronicles event. These events (yes, there were more than one!) will be our way of exploring the Sailor Moon canon that was never really fleshed out in any of its incarnations. We will be traversing through time and replaying the characters' journeys from the very beginning to the end, filling in holes that the anime, the manga, the musical, and the live action have failed to fill in for us!

You may not play characters that aren't listed under Available Characters, and they will run within a specific timeframe (in this case, one month) as a special event to ensure the storyline is finished.

Every few months, there will be one phase of event held. These will go chronologically, from the past to the future, in the following phases.

Phase I: New Moon - Early Silver Millennium
Phase II: Waxing Crescent - The Beginning of Moon & Earth Relations
Phase III: Waxing Gibbous - The Fall of Silver Millennium
Phase IV: Full Moon - Tokyo 20th Century
Phase V: Waning Moon - Crystal Tokyo
Phase VI: Lunar Eclipse - The Last Battle of Cosmos vs. Chaos

We are now opening the sixth and last phase, the conclusion of this series. This event will start on September 1st, 2018 and will run until the end of the month. The goal is to finish this phase within that month. As such, you will have to follow an activity rule of being able to post at least every 48 hours.

Phase VI Premise:
It is now thousands of years into the future since the Crystal Tokyo era. Senshi have come and gone and the battle between the side of Cosmos and Chaos have finally reached its peak. A new senshi, Sailor Cosmos, whose power rivals that of the legendary senshi Sailor Moon, has emerged as the ultimate champion of the light side. Just like Sailor Moon had been, she is supported by nine senshi in her team in her war against Chaos.

However, this battle is harder than all of Sailor Moon's old battles combined. And the stakes are much higher. The world's balance is at risk, depending on which side ultimately wins. Is there even a true winner after all, or will everything be lost and wiped clean for the world to restart? As long as the Galaxy Cauldron exists, even if one side prevails for now, the other will soon be reborn and the whole thing starts all over again...

Sailor Cosmos is tired. She has experienced many losses, some from her own senshi team. Some among the people she dearly loves. She just wants it to end. Will she take a risky move to bring an end to the suffering?

Chaos has manifested itself and took the ultimate form of Sailor Chaos, a senshi of destruction with incredible power. It's going to be a fight of the strongest soldiers of light and darkness in this ultimate showdown.

This event will explore what happens leading up to Cosmos' decision to travel back in time to Usagi's era and try to destroy The Galaxy Cauldron.

Rules:
- While technically this is a "Canon-Only" HC event, because we have no information about Sailor Cosmos, Sailor Chaos, and their respective teams from the source material, it will be more of an otaku event wherein all participants must create their own versions of these senshi from the "templates" I have provided.
- You must create an approved Advanced profile for the character you wish to claim. However, you may claim them here first, then write the profile. You have until August 25th, 2018 to get that profile approved - if you fail, your claim will be reopened. If you need help writing your profile or just need ideas in general, I'm happy to help out too!
- You have to be able to post at least every other day throughout the whole month, because the goal is to finish the phase before the end! This isn't going to be a regular storyline where we can keep posting for a long time, but hopefully we can put in a lot of activity during the entire month and get some pretty great interactions going!

Sign up below with your chosen character, I will update the cast list as often as I can.

We will start with one claim per person, but before the event closes, if there is interest to claim multiple characters, I will open up 2 claims per person. I do not need all characters to be claimed, those unclaimed will be written off as dead before the event began.


Note: The light senshi are based on the nine Greek mythology muses and the dark senshi are based on the Three Fates. Please look up information about them and use them as a template to inspire their powers, personality, and in building their profiles in general. You may also form relationships between your otaku senshi by brainstorming with the other players. There is a lot that are free to customize in this event, so take that opportunity to create the best histories and background information as you want!

Once we have a final list of which senshi are in play, I will start outlining the plot points for us to go through in the event!

- What's the power level of the game assumed to be? An ability like "As Muse of History, Sailor Clio has hyper-psychometry and can see the entire history of any object she handles" would snap almost every plot ever in half, but it's also a thing you can do with like two Charms in Exalted. Are grand, sweeping, wild powers at play to drive home the apocalyptic and cosmic nature of the conflict or should you just stick to mostly attacks?

They are allowed to have stronger powers than the canon senshi because this is set far in the future when both sides have grown immensely more powerful, but as with all RPs, omniscience and one-shot powers/instant deaths are obvious no-no. So you can have powers to know things and devastating attacks, just make sure you put a limitation on it that makes sense realistically, that will allow a battle to play out without one side just being OP. Most of this process will be taken care of during profile creation, and I will be reviewing each profile closely to help you with setting the right standard for powers.

This is not the same continuity as the HC events run by Sailor Uranus, but we both draw from the same canon source (the manga arc of Stars).

Yes, everyone will know the ending (in fact I stated above that it will end just like in the manga, with Cosmos traveling back in time after losing everyone).

The tone is going to be whatever the players make it to be. The world as they know it is on the brink of the apocalypse, but how everyone deals with that is going to be different.

I will accept your claim for now, but since you have not roleplayed in our forums before and this is technically an event for advanced players, I would like for you to try posting a couple times in the Open Play area threads located here. It's every thread marked with [OC Play] in it. You can use any character you like (including your test version of Sailor Clio if you'd like) without an approved profile. A staff member will reply in the thread of your choice and initiate a short roleplay with you. I hope you understand this stipulation as normally newbies don't jump straight into HC events and I want to make sure it will be smooth sailing for you and everyone involved!

1. The deadline for approved profiles is in the first post. There are no additions necessary beyond what you would like to build with the other RPers (for example, how they met Cosmos, any special relationships with each other, etc) which you will get to do once you're added to the specific HC event chat channel on Discord.

3. There will be, but as not all RPs are set in the same timeline or even canon, that shouldn't stop you from using her in any other setting.

So, it'd be nice if all or most of the Team Cosmos players could get together in Discord so we could get on the same page as each other. Is there a time that's good for people to do that?

I'm going for weird space-fairytale on my character's background and wanted to make sure I wasn't conflicting with the group, but it's a good idea in general for the party to coordinate their characters.

Costume Design! We were thinking that all senshi could have two forms - their "original" form, which is unique to them, and their "Cosmos" form, which is identical to Cosmos's outfit but is color-tailored to them! Will they always be in their cosmos-form during the RP? Dunno! XD Maybe they just all swap to that form when lending their powers to Cosmos? ANY WAY having matching uniforms waiting in the wings is much the happiness.

Huitzil has a good point-should all the characters have one main visual theme since they're supposed to be Cosmos' team? Kind of how like the sailor senshi all have similar fukus, and the starlights have similar fukus?

I'm game for anything! (Saturn, you posted the same time I posted my examples aaaaa)

I just did my "identical to the others" costume based on Euterpe and Thalia, which is different from what Cosmos form you have there. It has streamers coming off the skirt gem and six more wings and all the wings are tiny; I like your version better. 

My shoulder pads and stars will be yellow either way but I think the stars look better gold, but the shoulder pads look better in the theme color. The stars should stand out, they are much more special than shoulders.

Alright, so I played around with it a little bit and I thought perhaps a primary color of black, mixed with some yellows here and there would make for a better spacey theme to go for astronomy. But @Sailor Saturn if you have a preference towards it, I could take a shot at dark blue too ^^

Ah! Well, I've just finished messing with the doll maker sorry, I should have checked here before and I've used what constitutes as "Black" for it, but honestly it looks like a desaturated purple to me xD so maybe we could pretend its purple if you want to go for the black color? xD

No problem! I gave dark blue a shot too, and I'm quite satisfied with it so I have added that one for now ^^ I'll change the Cosmos version later too, but I have no problem going with it if you've figured black out for yours!
