...and then her hammer just stopped and fell to the ground, clattering before it disappeared. Sunset could feel her entire body heat up with rage. What!? But I threw a physical object at him! Somehow, it must’ve been the properties of her magic being used to maneuver the damned thing.

“What’s the matter? Hammer too heavy for you?”

Sunset nearly screeched in rage upon Angela’s words.

“S-shut up!” she screamed, preparing to send another barrage of magic towards Angela, but stopped and stared as Garland rammed his sword into Rocbouquet. Her rage momentarily paused as she watched the sorceress fail at punching him and rather have her guts nearly spill out onto the rooftop instead. It was more violence than the pony had seen much less expected from those heroes before. Sure, Sunset was well versed in kill or be killed but...a brief moment of empathy came over her, even if it was for that stupid harlot of a sorceress. No one deserved that, not even her!

It was in her moment of distraction that her magical shield was broken, and Sunset blasted by a fiery blast of magic from Angela. She cried out from the pain of the burns, feeling her coat burn in small areas. She was forced to rolling around trying to put out any remaining flames. Getting back on her hooves, she glanced to her side to see Rocbouquet, who had managed to join them again and even began casting another spell despite the gaping chest wound...that was closing up. Right. That wench had some sort of self-healing ability. How convenient. And she even felt sorry for her.

Now, her rage filled her ten fold. The normally green hued glow of magic that came from her horn turned dark and started enveloping her body. She felt the power within her increase as her body began to transform. Pain too from the intense dark magic that filled her. She used that pain to push herself through the rest of the transformation. The cloud of dark magic that had enveloped her, fading away to reveal a taller and more mature looking Sunset. Her entire coat had turned red with black accenting in areas, her horn black now with a sharp demonic curve to it and red demon like wings sprouting from her back. Her hair had grown longer, looking more like actual flames rather than hair. It flowed on its own behind her and black wisps of dark magic escaped from from her eyes as she opened them, setting a dark glare towards the team of Cosmos warriors in front of her.

Being forced to use this power (and twice in one day no less) had angered her even more. How dare she get pushed so far! How dare they stand in her way. She saw that Garland had started conjuring up another powerful looking spell to send their way. Her glare darkened even more as her horn glowed with dark magic. She would show them who was the real one to be fearful of here.

Her fireballs managed to finally break through that blasted barrier and strike the dark witch and unicorn - however, the pirate managed to successfully dodge them all. In response to which, he... decided to take a smoking break with a ridiculously long pipe? What the... Just... what...

Angela just stared at Buggy, mouth agape, like a deer in front of flashlights. When she realized just what exactly he was doing, it was too late to react, as a ball of fire launched straight from the pipe crashed directly at her. Ouuuch! 

"You bastard!!" she yelled, practically fuming. "What is this, amateur hour?? I'll show you spellcasting!" Ugh! This was so humiliating, falling victim to such a stupid move! What could he even possibly be thinking?? Oh, she was so going to take that pipe and deflate that balloon-for-body of his.

Angela glanced back towards Rocbouquet and Garland; she could not avert her gaze from her enemy forever, after all, no matter how gross the sight may be... Which, it was not? It was a direct hit, sure enough, but the wound appeared to be healing in an accelerated pace. Tch. Healing magic - the regular kind too, not the one she wanted to use on Garland. As much as she wanted to teach Buggy a lesson, Angela would still have to keep her attention on her, it seemed.

Practically simultaneously, almost everyone started preparing their next wave of hostilities. The pony, irritated by Angela's remark, underwent yet another kind of transformation - more drastic this time, apparently, resembling now a full-fledged flaming unicorn. Okay, she was at least a bit more intimidating now, she'd give her that much. As for the wicked sorceress, she was doing something at Garland again, attempting to entangle him with vines, while their ally mage seemed to be preparing something in response, as well. An artifact of some sort materialized next to them with an inscription written on it that kept changing. How interes-- Oh no.

Remembering the last time she had seen this item, Angela quickly shielded her eyes from the imminent burst of dazzling light. She did not manage to observe the effect of her rival sorceress' move, but the aroma of flowers struck her once again. She could only hope that he was strong enough to resist her spell, this time.

Anyway, this was not an opportunity to be wasted. Their opponents seemed to be distracted by Garland's move, so now was the time to keep striking them, and hard. Raising her staff, she directed her Diamond Missile on their adversaries one more time (it had to work eventually!), and followed up with one more bolt of lightning towards Rocbouquet - she would pay for that electric surprise of hers.

The retaliation for her impalement was as brutal as it was otherworldly- or, rather, her recovery was the otherworldly part. Papyrus wouldn't have believed it if he didn't see it. One moment, there was a lot of blood, the next-it had all vanished. The wound had mended itself from being fatal with unbelievable swiftness, and she began twisting the air around her for another spell. Rocbouquets entire form was glowing in a way that Papyrus had not yet seen during this endless battle. It frightened him to imagine what else she was capable of. 

Papyrus had managed to only land one minor hit in an attempt to impede her, but it wasn't nearly enough. A wild array of vines all but grew from in between the stone floor. They twitched and squirmed as though they were alive as it quickly grew larger. And larger. And larger.

Oh no. 

Just as Papyrus was frantically searching his brain for possible ways to combat this-something had inexplicably appeared next to him. In hindsight, it couldn't have actually been a person-people aren't exactly transparent. Ghosts are, though. Is that what this was? The battle had been raging for so long, he wouldn't exactly be surprised if it woke the dead. It already had earlier, in a way. But why this ghost decided on the appearance of a stone of all things was Papyrus' guess. Magic combated magic as it glowed brighter and brighter before projecting itself outward. Papyrus was forced to shield his eyes when it happened-and aside from the sickly aroma of flowers, he missed it.

But when he move his hands, Garland was in an incredibly rough way. And that was putting it lightly.

His heart was thumping loudly in his chest. If he were a child, he would assume it'd fall right out. Garland's blinding spell had taken hold on their opponents, and Angela had countered in her own way yet again, but she-too-was looking battle weary. 

Two fights total, one right after the other. How much longer could they do this? How much more could his injure friends endure? 

Just then, Papyrus mind and eyes both wandered to the crystal-still sitting on its stony throne, twinkling and sparkling away. They'd encountered so many crystals before this, after all. And each time they'd grabbed one, the battle was over.  Papyrus had even managed to cause the crystal he'd found back in Snowdin to save everyone not that long ago

Perhaps-just perhaps-he could do it again? 

The lives of his allies depended on it. 

His mind made up, Papyrus readied himself as best he could. He'd already run across the battlefield multiple times at this point-so there'd be no difference! At least that was the lie he was telling himself as he summoned an attack of his own. The floating animal skull appeared again-but this time was a bit different. It had rather taken its time forming into existence during other battles. This time, everything seemed rushed. And the skull didn't immediately fire, either. It hovered for a moment or two, it's bulging eyesockets seeming to lock eyes with each individual there. Finally, it opened its maw, and the familiar blast of white-hot energy shot at none other then Rocbouquet. 

And the very second the lazer went past it's teeth, Papyrus ran off with all the speed and energy he could muster, heading directly for the crystals resting place.

After his last attempt at one of the new attacks that he got and it only hit Angela, well you think that he would be upset but in truth, she was the one he wanted to hit the most. Then a bunch of other attacks happened from both sides in succession and Buggy wanted to go after Papyrus how apparently was going after a crystal...WAIT?...it's still there? He had completely forgotten about it.

He was about to try to do the 3rd type of attack given to them which was ice. In his head, he thought, 'Gotta focus Buggy...no ice cubes...NO ICE CUBES!' Before he was turning to face Skelly-Boy's direction everything went dark! Did he die? He felt around and his body was still moving...hmm? then he yelled out to Sunset and Roc..."I'm sorry in advance if I hit you...I can't open my eyes!" 

He then tried to sense Pap moving but wasn't sure then heard steps and shot his attack in that direction...

Despite her injuries, Rocbouquet found the energy to twirl around within the boundaries of her purple spellcasting circle, wriggling her chest about in a flirtatious manner and blowing kisses at Garland as if she were inviting him to dance the samba with her. The gnarl of roses and thorns seemed to respond well to her provocative dance moves. The initial wave of vines eagerly came down upon Garland and latched onto his legs, holding him in place while the rose-bearing branches crept their way around his body.

“Don't you find this rather fascinating, Garland?” Rocbouquet taunted with a wink. Even though her arrogance had returned, she could not ignore how Garland still appeared more determined than ever to cast his spell. Such a difficult pest, that man! She grumbled behind clenched teeth.

At the same time, Sunset underwent her transformation, maturing into a large red unicorn with red bat-like wings and a flame-like tail. She then used her newly awakened powers to fire a dark beam at the mage, who suddenly responded by hurling an orb of explosive light toward the warriors of Chaos, seconds before Rocbouquet's vines took hold of his arms and buried him.

Rocbouquet's pupils shrunk. Oh no! That was the same spell he cast on the golem! The temptress quickly squinted her eyes shut, but it was already too late. A dazzle with the intensity of a thousand suns drowned out her vision in a painful burst of energy and light. Rocbouquet staggered backwards shrieking her brother's name in sheer panic, begging for him to come to her and end her suffering as tears poured out from the corners of her tightly squinted eyes. Phantoms flitted back and forth yowling alongside her in agony.

The battlefield soon became a scene of utter confusion. Roses exploded, projectiles flew, beams shot back and forth. All of this unseen chaos caused the sightless jungle queen to flounder about helplessly, her hands nearly clawing at her own eyes as she pressed them against her eyelids to rid herself of the sharp stinging pain. Rocbouquet's spirits did what they could to nudge her out of harm's way, but they just weren't coordinated enough. One pain after the next surged throughout her body as she was struck by a solid chunk of rock, and then by a white laser beam, which knocked her to her knees. Tears splashed onto the cold stone surface beneath her. Everything was so dark and dreadful! And no matter how hard she tried to focus her vision, all she could see was the same splotchy black afterimage.

Rocbouquet heard Buggy's voice nearby.

"I'm sorry in advance if I hit you...I can't open my eyes!”

Him too? Agh! She clenched her fists, frustrated beyond belief. There was no doubt in her mind that the enemies would continue to strike them left and right as long as they remained vulnerable! Sensing her distress, Rocbouquet's spirits began to gather around her. They lifted her weary body away from the ground and encompassed her in a protective mist made of their formless bodies to provide her refuge while her eyes recovered.

She felt so tired, but she needed to keep fighting! Rocbouquet gritted her teeth together. But what was the point of fighting back when she couldn't even see her opponents? Then she remembered Wagnas and Noel, the tower, and her promise. To let these maggots overpower her now meant abandoning Wagnas and Noel, and the others! No. She couldn't do that! She promised she would help them no matter what!

A fervid glint of determination sparkled in Rocbouquet's amber-colored eyes as they shot wide open. Although still blinded, she could make out faint traces of Garland's figure nearby. The mage was still standing, though the fact he had not followed up with another sword strike while she was struggling suggested to Rocbouquet that she had him once more under her control. Good. She could use him as a distraction to buy herself and the unicorn some time to recover. Rocbouquet smirked. Her resolve became clearer as did her vision.

“Garland! I don't need help returning to Wagnas! I can do that myself!” she huffed, falling back into her routine back-talking. “On the other hand, those two pests Papyrus and Angela are really starting to bug me! Do me a favor and exterminate them before they cause me any more trouble!” she commanded.

Somehow…somehow her spell managed to miss…MISS Garland’s on coming attack that grew brighter and brighter. Her eyes grew wide as blazing bright light burned her eyes, forcing them shut and she took another direct hit of a spell. She was knocked back but managed to stay standing.

”Ahh! My eyes! ” she screamed, trying to open them but tears flowing down her cheeks as she was forced to shut them again from the pain.

”You stupid freaking excuse of a bleep mage!” she screamed even more, rage now consuming her. She started preparing another spell but then she was hit again by something that she wasn’t even sure of what it was. What was going on? This was just like the last time! She was so consumed with rage that she lost track of her surroundings or sound.

Sunset continued to scream in frustration, stomping frantically, as if throwing a tantrum. She was beginning to feel weak and could not think straight. In her frantic rage filled panic, Sunset fired off another magic beam wildly in what she thought was the direction of the those three worms.

Papyrus had been doing his best to shove down the absolute panic he had felt upon seeing that another one of his opponents had managed to change their form into something horrific. This time, it had been the small yellow horse. Unlike the shift in Rocbouquets form, where she was still somewhat distinguishable to how Papyrus knew her. Sunset's change was an entirely different story. She doubled in size, her fur changing in color and her mane and tail flickering as though it were fire incarnate. To make matters worse, she also sprouted a pair of wings-as though the opposing party couldn't have enough of those. The only actual resemblance she had left to her original self was that she was still a horse.

But Papyrus had to focus. He couldn't think about the form change, the new magic-or how Garland had managed to get hit. All he had to do now was make it to the crystal-then it would all be over. No more locations, free from all life but his party. No more surprise attacks from mysterious and unknown creatures. 

Just as he heard Rocbouquets' cry of pain upon the laser connecting-Papyrus was shot from behind. Multiple large ice shards hit him mercilessly, causing him to falter greatly. The blast propelled him to the ground, the force of the impact making itself known with a harsh cracking sound. Papyrus coughed and managed to force himself upright, gasping and panting. It was only then did he immediately notice that the source of the loud crunching noise had been his armor. The trusty white plate had endured so much during this back-to-back fighting, but it hadn't been repaired when his injuries were. Or during any of the previous encounters, really. It slid off of him in large chunks as he slowly stood up, leaving him only protected by the oily-black under armor he's always worn underneath it. 

"Oh-Nononono! Not now! Why-?"

Papyrus only had seconds to flounder about as to how this could have possibly happened before more magic spiraled his way. A rush of painfully cold air jetted past him, freezing the ground where he stood and caking the broken pieces in a thick layer of ice. That was an attack not yet seen in this fight-another powerful unknown ready to make this battle more hell then it already is. He cast his gaze to none other then Garland, once more under Rocbouquets' spell. 

Papyrus felt his blood run cold at the sight, and even colder upon seeing how she was recovering from his attack. The ghastly spirits that were floating around her suddenly multiplied, and were now swirling around her, protecting her from any additional attacks.

Another form shift, another possession-and now, another barrier.

Well, wasn't this just fantastic. 

Papyrus swore helplessly under his breath as he summoned a bone to his hand. Without hesitation, he took off right for the barrier, brandishing his weapon forcefully against it in an attempt to break it. 

"Your undermining ways have got to stop! I won't let you have him! I'm not losing anyone else!"

Buggy was still blinded but had gone into his attack and it HIT! Also to make things better, for the time being, he could see again! It was a two-for-one special!! Actually, it was a three-for-one special due to him somehow helping stop that delusional Skeloten from getting to the crystal...THE CRYSTAL!! He just remembered about it as so much disdain and fighting was occurring that he forgot.

Sunset then changed her form and he saw her and told her, "That looks better on you, Sunset...more fierce and evil." He then turned his attention to Papyrus since he didn't want to attack Garland who seemed to being taken care of by Rocboquet.

"You don't have any say in the matter anymore Papy-boy! Let your good friend Buggy help put your bones to rest!"

Her Diamond Missile projectiles finally found their target, though even in her evidently blinded state, the witch still managed to avoid Angela's shocking retaliation. How infuriating! Perhaps Garland should give it a try - someone ought to show that cackling hag just how fun it is!

But Garland had no such plans, apparently. Instead, at the seductress' command, he sent forth an icy blast of wind towards his own allies. The dropping temperature brought a shiver to Angela. It reminded her of that time she fled the castle and found herself isolated in the freezing Sub-zero Snowfield. Passing out by cold was most certainly not pleasant. Luckily, she got out of the spell's direct path just in time, avoiding the same unfortunate outcome this time.

"Seriously?? How can you fall for the same trick twice??" she yelled in frustration. Sure, deep inside she understood that this was a spell they had to deal with, it's not like he fell for her lies again - but it was no less annoying, all the same! Perhaps she really will be forced to crack her staff on his skull, after all.

Then again, perhaps there was a better solution. If they eliminated the source of the enchantment, then maybe he would be all fixed up. Angela narrowed her eyes at Rocbouquet, raising her staff high in the air one more time and starting the incantation. This one would take longer than usual, she knew.

It was time to get serious.

Attacks were flying left and right; a beam from the unicorn, some more ice from the pirate, but Angela did her best to maintain her concentration while moving out of their path. Once the incantation was finally complete, a barrage of meteor shards began to mercilessly pummel their three foes.

Through Garland's addled eyes, the next several moments after releasing his Sunburst evocation were compressed and distorted. The witch's own magic brought forth a twisting thicket of thorns, brambles, and other vines that lashed around him even as his own spell reached completion, forcing him to gaze upon Rocbouquet and her sultry motions. Much as she wouldn't be able to take her eyes off the incoming burst of celestial energy, he was similarly caught and forced to gaze her way before the thick tangle of roses and thorns engulfed him, smothering his senses with a cloying vapor that forcefully etched the enchantress's flirtatious dance into his every thought.

The thorns and roses soon exploded, but Garland couldn't even recall at the time if they had been injured. The lovely Rocbouquet made another request of his services, and it was just so hard to say no! There was some urgency, but she still seemed polite and in enough need for a quick remedy to the "pests." Well, if the poor lady had an insect problem that required an immediate solution, then an arctic answer was the most expedient means.

The last thoughts to go through Garland head before Angela's infuriated yelling were of him conjuring forth a btiterly cold burst of wind mimicking those from the region of Zuoja's Fall, further north of his homeland of Qayssa and just beyond the dreaded Widowlands.

And then it hit him.

Garland groaned in pain, suddenly feeling the weight of the physical and mental exhaustion that Rocbouquet's spell left him to carry after her apparent charm had run its course.  "Not exactly the same trick," he called back to Angela, noting that the battle was still raging on despite his injuries. Of course it wouldn't just wait for him to get better; it would continue to wash over him and his friends until they either forced back the tides or were swept away.

In that moment, the winged mage wasn't feeling particularly clever or inventive, instead simply needing an expedient means to rid himself of the treacherous corsair, the wicked equestrian, and the mattress queen. They needed to cease their hostilities now; what better solution was there than to repeat his cryogenic convocation against their enemies? With an exasperated plea, Garland called to his fellow magician while raising his hands to conjure a second burst of icy wind to buffet the tower rooftop. 

"Angela, please just hit me if it happens again. Don't hold back!"

Her meteor shower variant succeeded in blasting its targets, but now was not the time to rest. The enchantress seemed to have taken quite a hard blow, so she had to keep going now that she was at her weakest. Garland seemed to have snapped out of it again, thankfully - perhaps the brunt of the attack broke the concentration required? However, they couldn't afford to have her try her dirty little tricks one more time.

"Well... if we really have to!" she replied to Garland, and then looked towards Papyrus with narrowed eyes, nodding her head towards their winged ally; pretty much conveying a simple 'you heard him this time!'

Now on the side of his true teammates, Garland decided to repay their foes with an icy response that he had been forced to use against his will, so Angela simply decided to add some more ice to the battlefield. Hopefully they would end things soon - Garland did look particularly beat, so who knew how much longer he could take, or any of them for that matter.

Her eye sight managed to come back but not before she was hit from an unseen source, not once but twice. She snarled in frustration as she looked around the battlefield in a panic. Curse them...curse them all! Sunset could feel herself weakening, the battle taking its toll on her body. Rocbouquet had seemed to take the brunt of most of the damage and looked to be out of the fight. Sunset wondered if the stupid witch had any more tricks or if this was it...

She glanced at Buggy who looked to be in a similar state as her. How dare these stupid maggots do this to them! She may have hated everyone here but she hated Angela, Papyrus and Garland the most. Her eyes no longer burned from the bright attack but from the hatred she held within. Hanging on to that feeling, she fired off another magic beam at the trio.

...And the idiot mage missed both of his targets. Rocbouquet clenched her fists. Agh! Did she have to do everything around here?

“I knew it. Wagnas and Noel are the only men I can really count on to get anything done!” she declared, glaring at Garland with a look of utter abhorrence on her face. Such a useless man. An utterly useless man! She would show him how she felt about such incompetency! The temptress thrust her arm forward, aiming her palm at Garland's head with the intention of slicing it off with a swift blade of chilling wind, but before she could even recite the necessary verses of her Wind Cutter spell, Papyrus came down on her hard with a bone club. Rocbouquet's spirits caught the femur, but the skeleton warrior somehow managed to break past them and clonk her lightly on the head.

“Ouch! How rude!” she huffed, massaging the top of her scalp as she floated away from him. Luckily Buggy was there to make the counterattack, blasting Papyrus with the ice Garland had failed to deliver. Hah! Served that pile of bones right for all of his annoying meddling! Rocbouquet thought to herself triumphantly, failing to realize that she had put herself straight in line with Angela's oncoming spell until it was much too late. Like a doe in the headlights, Rocbouquet stared helplessly at the massive hunks of boulder flying toward her, knowing there was no chance of avoiding them.

Meteor after meteor battered her around, leaving her profoundly disfigured and in excruciating pain. (If Rocbouquet hadn't known any better, she would have thought that every single bone in her body had been crushed after suffering such ruthless bombardment!) ...And yet she somehow came out of the attack standing, but her face said it all. She couldn't continue on like this. She needed a new body. She needed to assimilate!

“...I refuse to admit defeat to a bunch of pathetic insects!” Rocbouquet shrieked, suddenly charging forward in a frenzy of panicked outrage, transcending the limits of her faltering form as she forced her tiring body through the piercing shower of ice toward Garland, despite the injuries she had sustained. Her wings appeared to be fading with each hit, but she continued forward relentlessly, a prominent black glow radiating from the core of her existence.

Papyrus
The shield had been a thing of nightmares. Many skeletal faces swirled in all directions, pushing against his attack with an unseen force. It was the worlds most intense shove-off; skulls against skeleton. It was frightening, seeing your own resemblance in dozens of furious spirits hell-bent on protecting their master at all costs. Perhaps this is why humans feared Papyrus so much. 

But Papyrus persisted, arms aching from just how much force he was putting into his attack. He prevailed, connecting his weapon with the top of her head just as he felt incredible pain on his backside. Without his armor to protect him, the ice shards seared right through the thin fabric, leaving a large amount his back now completely exposed. Papyrus cried out in pain as Buggy mocked him; How could something so cold burn so much? 

It was then that Angela's attack finished what Papyrus had tried so hard to stop. The barrier gone; her magnificent blend of spells hitting their target without fail and from all sides. Rocbouquet wasn't moving-rooted in place with no more insults to shout at them. 

They had won. Or so Papyrus had thought.

Without wasting another second, Rocbouquet began her frenzy-aiming for Garland, once again. Papyrus wasted no time either, an attempted-full-body grasp to keep her from moving turned into him clutching tightly onto her legs as she raced to reach her target. Papyrus tried to keep his footing multiple times; attempting to dig his heels into the ground in an attempt to slow her down-but it was proving next to impossible. All he could do was shout:

"I won't let you-!"

Garland and The Queen of Floozy Land again for like the billionth time it seemed hit him with attacks that he was super happy no one back home was like that strong...well minus the four emperors. He stood there for a moment like he had time and time again in this adventure: Out of breath and ready to die.

He watched Sunset: the strongest and most interesting pony he ever knew and Rocboquet: The love of some guy named Wagnas and keeper of the scariest skeletons since Brook get attack with him and Rocboquet then ran...for the most part at Garland and the truthfully bravest skeleton (Again other the Soul King Brook) Papyrus go after her.

Buggy had no clue what she was hoping to do, even he lost hope. Then he saw that stupid brat that had been causing him the most trouble this whole time: The Floozy Queen, The Mage-In-Training and The Nami knock-off...Angela!! He was determined to get her at least one more time before he was to set sail for the final time...

He yelled out the best he could, "Hey Angela!! I'm done listening to you run your stupid lips and run me and my friends down and treat us like crap! I'm going to take you down and if I'm a lucky Star Clown this time maybe I will take you with me!!"

Buggy then did his best and ran at Angela staring holes into her as he was ready to take her down. ('Please let this work!')

Rocbouquet trudged forward despite Papyrus having hitched a ride on her legs. Whatever. She'd assimilate with him too! The temptress stopped in front of Garland, panting heavily. She looked him dead in the eyes and smirked. The black glow around her body suddenly flared up.

It must have been strange to have another's life flash before one's own eyes, but that was exactly what happened when Rocbouquet unleashed her assimilation magic.

So many memories spilled forth from the young woman's being like a horrifying deluge, each one interspersed with terrifying flashes of antennae and claws, endless hordes of demonic insectoids ravaging towns. In every such memory, Rocbouquet was fighting them. And almost every time, in the midst of those swarms, there were two young men pushing forward: one with long black hair in a white robe and the other in full armor with tufts of blonde hair sticking out from his helmet. These two individuals recurred frequently across her consciousness and were readily identified as Wagnas and Noel respectively.

Noel always seemed to be there for his little sister, though he appeared to worry about her safety and future a lot more than she would have liked. Wagnas, on the other hand, acted a bit more distant toward her, but there was a deep fondness surrounding him even when he faced the opposite direction. The most prominent of Rocbouquet's memories seemed centralized on his supportive gestures and compliments. But even such fondness was quickly drowned out by that dreadful flood of disconnected, soulless, ravaging thoughts that did not seem to match up at all with the maiden they supposedly belonged to.

In the tumultuous waves of confusion that followed, Garland and Papyrus would continue to make out brief slivers of major events from Rocbouquet's life—including Noel and Wagnas' discovery of assimilation, the termite queen's defeat, Rocbouquet's recognition as one of the Seven Heroes, public cries of fear and disapproval (“You're anything but heroes, you monsters!”), exile to the other dimension, and Wagnas swearing revenge—before the memories would speed forward again, this time past images of vast jungle, enchanted men, aggressive Amazons, and ancient ruins, to a more familiar scene of three individuals holding hands outside of a brick home located at the heart of a frozen town in an evergreen forest: the purple-haired princess Angela, the Enthroned mage Garland, and the skeleton warrior Papyrus. The vision lingered only briefly on this moment before flashing ahead to the hostage situation in Asvas, and then Papyrus' and Rocbouquet's exchange:

“...I didn't know monsters had feelings—or brothers. I guess we have more in common than I initially expected. After merging with monsters, I lost the ability to care—or so I had thought. Even as I grew tired of this wretched life, I could not stop thinking about Wagnas and Noel and how much they still meant to me. No matter how many times I begged for this infinite cycle of despair to end, my thoughts always returned to them; how disappointed they must have been to see me like this, how I had failed everybody as a hero; yet nothing that happened to us in the other world could make me forget how happy I was to be with them, or how I loved them both so dearly. They are still important to me despite what I've become.”

These words echoed over her determination to win over Garland and learn his secrets, to climb to the top of the Enthroned tower and betray, all for the love and acceptance of the man she still cared about after so much corruption had consumed her heart. The flood of memories ended at the present moment with the eyes of the beholder staring straight into the core of Garland's existence.

Rocbouquet's Action:

Sunset felt her energy drain as her form reduced it's size and she returned back to her normal yellow coated, small pony self. How... She looked around the tower roof top weakly. Rocbouquet was running towards Garland with a strong determination and Papryus had grabbed on trying to stop her. What was this last ditch effort she was trying to do?

Not knowing what to think or expect of the dark magic that emanated the sorceress, she turned towards Buggy. He was still trying too, despite looking slightly more worn down than her. He was aiming at Angela and she would too! Let Rocbouquet deal with those other two boofoons. She was the one obsessed with men anyway.

Sunset fixated her gaze on Angela as her horn glowed again. She fired off a blast of her magic at her.

He was worn out, Sunset was worn out and ever Rocboquet was even though she was still trying. Then he saw Sunset still trying and looked at him and he wasn't going to give up either. If there was anything that Luffy taught him when they were friends was to never give up.

He then saw Sunset shoot off her Magic beam and he decided to grab a Muggy Ball and did his best to try to time his attack so that hopefully in his mind at least they could both hit Floozy of the Millenium and knock her down a few pegs.

He then thought as he readied his Ball, 'Well this has been fun mostly, but I feel like I'm going to be finished...I never thought it would be this way...I thought I would drown first due to eating my Devil Fruit. I will miss you Nami...and you most of all...Boa Hancock..my lovely!"

What was the world coming to now? Rocbouquet shrieked in abject defiance, seemingly hellbent on defeating her foes in spite of the crippling pain and suffering that the two mages and plucky skeletal guardsman had delivered unto her body. Her previous stance and mannerisms were quite guarded, and the enchantress had even favored pitting Garland against his friends to further weaken their unity. That ultimately failed, so what was she going to do with such a brazen forward push?

As that woman drew closer to Garland, he started to read the dark glow that started to wash up from around her very being. His face paled at whatever arcane secrets were starting to be revealed to him - but to know the full extent of this strange and unfamiliar magic, he would need a certain precious resource that was, as ever, in extremely short supply.

Time.

His thoughts turned to that leering, smirking face, and Garland's own handsome countenance faltered with a cold realization. She must have been after his knowledge of planar travel! There was that, certainly, but something even worse was bonded to his own soul, much like whatever dense masses of spiritual energy was forcibly bound into the witch's essence. He had mastered the overly complex rituals to link himself with Eldetrius, and was nearly ripped apart by its enormous magical potential.

"You mustn't do this, Rocbouquet!" cried the winged mage as he frantically gesticulated with his hands in a futile effort to get her attention. "You won't find the life you want, but only death and destruction!"


And then, the eerie black aura surrounding her body appeared to surge up and outward - spilling an ocean of darkness from the temptress's dark soul onto the shore of reality. Was he going to be lost within this tide of shadow and corruption? At first there was a deep blackness before his eyes, as if his sight had once been again robbed by the fickle peculiarities of the arcane arts.

Slowly at first, then with a gradual quickening, some distant memories of a faraway land of fiendish insects came pouring into his senses. These seemed to be the first, if any chronological order was appropriate. Garland could not first recognize the arms of the girl who battled the creatures, but it seemed only logical to connect it to Rocboquet's own history.

His suspicions were soon confirmed as further associated memories appeared to introduce the two most important individuals to Rocbouquet's life. Through the haze of memories, Garland counted many repeated references to a man with flowing black hair, festooned with a white robe and an air of nobility. Was this her beloved Wagnas? He certainly wasn't ugly, to say the least. Not far from the nobleman was another man, bedecked in full armor with some hints of blonde hair. The posture and bearing of this swordsman was immaculate, to say the least. This must have been Noel!

Garland could write, or even paint epic stories of the very things flashing before his eyes and ears, assuming he would have anything of himself intact after the ordeal. It wasn't exactly like he was afraid of death, but there were (seemingly always) a few things that the guildmaster needed to sort out before he shuffled off of the mortal coil.

What worried him more than dying, in this instant, was if Rocbouquet attempted (and failed) to contain the immense power of Eldetrius. He didn't want her to die, but he had wanted no part of her schemes, even if the ungrateful forefathers of her world had doomed their future progeny to the wrath of these scorned Heroes. To see himself at the end of these memories was especially offputting, as if he was staring himself down from within Rocbouquet's shoes, waving his hands wildly.

"You aren't prepared to handle it! No number of lifetimes could prepare anyone to survive what I went through!"

Papyrus
Papyrus had been trying his best in these split-second moments to try to halt Rocbouquet's charge. Without losing his grip, he'd tried multiple times to lock his legs and keep her from moving, digging his heels into the cobblestone. And yet, he constantly slipped up and lost balance. If he didn't have such a good grip on her, he would been flung off ages ago. Her speed was incredible, being able to hang onto her as long as he did was nothing short of an accomplishment in of itself. 

And yet, it wasn't a strong enough of one. 

"You mustn't do this, Rocbouquet!You won't find the life you want, but only death and destruction!"

The second he'd heard Garland's cry as she descended upon him, a darkness began to wash over the area. Like an angry tide, the dark Aura that had surrounded her became alive; and it swallowed Papyrus up in an instant. He'd had no time to blink, think or even scream as all his senses were quickly snuffed out, like the last ember of a dying flame. 

Feelings, visions, voices-all kinds of monumentous events began to play out before Papyrus. Grotesque insects, death, victory-and then betrayal. He'd felt laughter, tears, and rage unlike he'd ever been exposed to. And there was war. Lots, and Lots of war. Yet Papyrus was the one holding the weapons in arms that weren't his. Shouting the battle cries with a voice that was of a woman's. All the while two individuals in these ever-changing events remained constant. Two men, to be precise. One of them bearing an uncanny resemblance to Rocbouquet. These had to be the two whose names she'd been screaming on the battlefield. 

But that wasn't important right now. He wasn't alone-or rather, Papyrus didn't feel alone. It was as though someone was staring directly into his soul with an incredible amount of disgust and hatred. The intensity was palpable, and he was feeling increasingly crushed under the pressure. Like he was being dissected by forces unseen into fine grains of sand-bit by bit, surrounded by many formless others who'd gone through the same thing. 

Was this what it meant to die? 

Granted, Monsters' deaths usually mean the end of their physical forms. The magic would scatter like ashes to the wind once their souls vanish. Or dust, it wasn't ever clear, even among the eldest and wisest of monster scholars. Their ashes would then be given to their loved ones, most likely to be scattered over their possessions they loved most.  

If this kept up, however, not even dust would be left of him. This deep-gutted realization hit him like a ton of bricks.

In no way was this any of this a normal demise. It was something worse. The formless legion grew more restless as the visions continued, all the while the voice that wasn't Papyrus' own continued to shout, scream, cry and laugh through it all. Everything was happening in an instant, and it was grinding him down, forcing him to become part of this ghastly mixture of beings that were forever lost-leaving only their negativity and strong grudges behind. 

This couldn't be how it ended. 

Not for him. 

Not for The Great Papyrus.

Papyrus faced the visions head on, memories of friends and family back home being the kindling for the last of his depleting strength.

"I won't let you have your way!" His screamed without a voice. 

"I won't lose!" He thought without a mind. 

"I'm going to go home!" 

Angela - Asvas (Tower Roof)

The pirate/unicorn duo were still not about to give up. Angela took one step forward to avoid that laser beam of the unicorn, then one step backwards as the clown threw some more knives her way. Why knives again?? Angela was well-versed in magical combat by now, but knives were plain and simply too dangerous! She shuddered at the thought of obtaining the same kind of scars that he had. Permanently.

Rocbouquet also had no plans of giving up, despite the injuries she had sustained. She marched straight towards Garland while a dark glow emanated from her body. What now? Was she planning to brainwash him again? Angela glanced towards her ally mage; perhaps third time's the charm. She should be prepared to give him a solid whack on the head this time, like he instructed. She wouldn't get her way again with him.

Papyrus wasted no time either in attempting to stop her, but she looked determined to go through with her plan, seemingly effortlessly dragging him along with her despite his efforts. As she made it over to Garland, the glow began to intensify...

And then everything stopped making sense.

'You won't find the life you want, but only death and destruction!' he shouted.

'You aren't prepared to handle it!'

What exactly is going on? Handle what? Is that a side-effect of her charm magic? Delirium?

And not long after, the glow faded altogether. Angela blinked twice. What was this whole march-and-glow thing about? Is Garland charmed now? Perhaps she should just clobber him out of precaution?

Unfortunately for Angela, she was rather too distracted by the events unfolding around her, that she failed to notice that their other two foes were targeting her. Only at the last second did she see that improvised bomb head her way, which detonated as soon as it came into contact with the now-smaller-again unicorn's magic. The blast wave sent her flying backwards, landing on her behind with a resounding 'Ow!'

Right. Those two. Do they never give up?? Angela steadied herself once more, glaring at the duo. "Just. Leave. Us. ALONE!!!" she cried out as several fireballs materialized in front of her and flew straight towards their adversaries.

Exhausted from the long battle and with severe injuries, Rocbouquet, Buggy and Sunset Shimmer would eventually collapse, and disappear in a flash of bright light...

As Sunset’s attack met its mark, Bugg managed to time one of his Muggy Balls with her attack, landing a double hit. She smirked as Angela took the brunt of the hit, sending her flying back. However, Angela was just as stubborn and determined as she and retaliated with terrifying barrage of fire balls.

With no strength left, all Sunset could do was scream in frustration. It drowned out Buggy’s heartfelt thank you, that Sunset thought she heard and tucked away the question of WHY he was even thanking them. The fire hit and she was again sent flying back several feet, skidding to a halt.

Weakly opening her eyes, Sunset could see the soft glow of the blue crystal, within her hoofs grasp, she reached out, her entire body in pain as she made one last attempt. Inches away from touching the crystal, Sunset disappeared in a flash of bright light.


Canterlot High School - Library

Sunset bolted up from the makeshift bed she had created out of library books and a blanket she managed to steal out of some girl’s locker. She looked around frantically--the last memories of her battle with Angela, Garland and Papryus were vivid in her mind. The library was pitch dark and her eyes took some time to adjust to the dim light coming from the glow of the moon and stars outside, but she was alone. For some reason, that feeling of isolation stung her a bit more this time. Though, she could not understand why.

Sunset looked down at her body, only to see the still unfamiliar human legs, hands and fingers. She clenched those odd appendages tight and slammed them down on the book lying next to her.

”Damnit! I can’t believe I…” she said, trailing off. The last word she could not speak out loud as her entire body began to quiver uncontrollably. She felt the stinging of tears and clenched her eyes shut. She would not cry. She would not cry.

With another scream of rage, she flung the nearest book into a nearby shelf. It clattered to the ground with a loud thump, opening up. It had been the yearbook she had been looking through before she had found herself in that accursed land. Crawling over to it, she glanced at the page and saw a picture of five girls. Scrubbing the tears away from her eyes, the overconfident pony-turned-human’s smirk appeared. Yes, this is where she’d start. There are powerful foes out there, but she needed to start small, bide her time until she had full control of the school.

She touched a finger to one of the girl’s face, her hair pink and expression clearly showing how timid of a person she was. She dug her finger into the girls face, tearing a hole into the page. Destroy this group, then another and another...then get back to Equestria when the time was right. Dear sweet Princess Celestia’s precious “Elements of Harmony” would make a good replacement to those stupid Cosmos crystals.

Feeling a wave of exhaustion overcome her, she crawled back to her bed. She needed proper rest.

There was work to do.
