![[Multiverse][Relaxed] Dissidia Multiverse OOC Empty](https://2img.net/i/fa/empty.gif) | Subject: [Multiverse][Relaxed] Dissidia Multiverse OOC 29th November 2016, 8:10 am | |
| Storyline Name: Dissidia Multiverse Creator(s): Light (largely inspired by Sailor Saturn's Dinner at The Axis event!) Forum: Gates to the Multiverse Universe: Original universe (based on Dissidia Final Fantasy, with characters from multiple universes) Advanced or Relaxed: Relaxed Moderator: Light Plot Summary: In a secret alternate dimension, the Goddess of Harmony, Cosmos, and the God of Discord, Chaos, have been in eternal conflict. When one side is victorious, the scale for the entire universe is tipped towards their side, until the other is eventually revived and the war can start again from the beginning. Warriors of Light and of Darkness have been summoned in this separate dimension to assist their side in this Grand War. But in this place that those characters have limited knowledge of, things may not be as they seem... Details on any necessary information: Characters (heroes and villains) have been summoned from various universes. The characters have full knowledge of everything transpired within their universe until the point they were summoned. Some characters may (mostly depending on the player) have noticed a slight shift in the balance towards the forces of evil in their world. Characters may or may not have heard of tales of Cosmos and Chaos, but no characters actually know them or this alternate dimension they are thrown into. Universe Need-to-Know Info: There are no creatures naturally inhabiting this dimension, but minor hostile/friendly creatures (beside the summoned heroes/villains) may be summoned and/or created by the gods. The characters retain all the abilities they had on their original worlds, but the effects are somewhat neutralized (a world-ending power will more than likely just have the same effect as a regular attack!) Characters cannot be actually killed in this dimension. "Killing" a character will simply send them back to their original universe and they will be unable to be summoned back. Restrictions: I am opening up to 10 available slots, which can be distributed as: anywhere between 3 and 7 protagonists, and anywhere between 0 and 5 antagonists. (An equal combination would be ideal, but I am allowing more protagonists depending on interest - not the opposite though.) Each player can play up to one protagonist and one antagonist. At this point I am opening character claims for only one of the two, but if available spots remain, you will be allowed to play an opposing force if you'd like (from the same or from a different universe). Protagonists should not come from the same universe as one another. Same goes for antagonists. However, a protagonist and an antagonist can come from the same universe. (Note that for games, as long as they do not overlap (i.e. FF4 and FF6 totally did not use my favorites as an example), they do count as separate universes!) No characters from the Sailor Moon universe are allowed! The only universe not allowed, ironically.Source: N/A OOC Thread: You are here xD RP Thread: https://www.thegalaxycauldronforums.com/t14384-multiverserelaxed-dissidia-multiverse Member to Character List:Team CosmosClaire 'Lightning' Farron (Final Fantasy XIII-2) - Lyssarie Samus Aran (Metroid) - Sailor Pluto (JupiterThunderCrash) Angela (Secret of Mana 2) - Light Papyrus (Undertale) - Cosmos-Hime Garland Sulzanth (Pathfinder / D&D) - Jasper Team ChaosRocbouquet (Romancing SaGa 2) - Andalusite Lord Frieza (Dragonball Z) - Sailor Mars (Kai) Zabuza Momochi (Naruto) - Sailor Pluto (JupiterThunderCrash) Buggy the Star Clown (One Piece) - Dark Sportsnutd Sunset Shimmer (My Little Pony) - Brit-chan This storyline is no longer accepting characters. ~~~
Okay! I went ahead and made an official OOC so we can discuss things in more detail, as well as place official character claims. ^^ I have given some thought to the plot and have more or less of an idea of what I would like to do. I don't want to say much because yay surprises, but I will say that at this point, I have two general ending ideas (a "good" and a "bad" one) and your choices will largely affect which ending you get. So be critical - or as critical as your character is supposed to be! Also a small disclaimer to anyone wishing to enter with an antagonist - the bad ending is not any kind of "the bad guys actually won, the end" thing. Your character will more than likely be defeated before the finale, so please sign up with the understanding of that! At this point I have marked the storyline as Relaxed, because I don't want to force people making an Advanced profile for a character they may not have plans to play again. But if everyone ends up entering with Advanced profiles, I could change it xD Hope to see enough interest! ^^ If you'd like to enter, please tell me which character you'd like to claim, what universe they are from, and if they fight for Cosmos or for Chaos! If you have any questions or ideas please let me know! Ultimate Technique - Lightning can summon her Eidolon, Odin, to perform the extremely powerful move Zantetsuken. Single or Multi-target. (Ultimate Technique: +500 roll bonus. Can be used once per battle)
- Garland:
Active abilities
Melee: Garland can deliver physical strikes with weapons or his bare hands.
Grapeshot: An explosive, wedge-shaped blast of intense heat and metallic shrapnel that originates from Garland's outstretched hand. Grapeshot is notable for being able to penetrate armor and bypass most forms of spell interference.
(Penetrate armor / bypass spells: +100 roll bonus)
Dispel: A subtle spell which lacks ostentation, Dispel's function is to cancel ongoing magical effects upon an area or an individual. It does not discriminate against beneficial or malicious magic, but targets every aura and scatters their energy to the winds. By identifying a spell that is being cast, Garland may interrupt and disperse the magic of another with Dispel instead of requiring exact knowledge of the spell to be disrupted. While this method is not as precise as a true counterspell, it is flexible enough to pose a serious threat to foes who rely heavily upon magical talents.
(Low accuracy if used on multiple targets: -250 roll penalty. Can be used to intercept the next spell cast.)
Stoneskin: Garland can temporarily harden his skin or that of another creature with a touch, granting the ability to endure attacks with little to no physical trauma.
(Effect: +200 roll bonus to defensive rolls for a number of rounds)
Haste: A potent boon which Garland can apply to himself and nearby allies. Haste subjects its recipients to a brief period of accelerated time, enabling them to act and move faster than before.
(Effect: Opportunity to attack twice in a round for a number of rounds. Low accuracy if used on multiple targets: -250 roll penalty)
Elvoldor's Effulgent Embers (Fire III) Attribute: Fire Range: Long, single/multi target Effect: Fire damage, Pyretic / Heatstroke negative status (Victim is subject to additional damage each time they exert themselves) Description: Upon evoking this spell, one of Garland's hands becomes wreathed in fire. After grasping a handful of dirt or ash from his surrounding environment (or a handy component pouch if necessary) with the burning hand, he hurls the smouldering, sulfurous embers towards his target(s). Each of the tiny embers functions like a bomblet, exploding on contact with an intense burst of light, heat, and force. Effect: Burn status for critical hit. -0.5 damage per round for a number of rounds.
Gorne's Fulminant Wrath (Thunder III) Attribute: Lightning Range: Long, single/multi target Effect: Damage, Offense Down negative status Description: Tapping into the dormant electrostatic energies within the environment, Garland channels a singularly massive bolt of lightning to smite his foes. The bolt may either expend its energy directly into a single target, or explode outward from that point into a voltaic energy field which grounds itself out through multiple contacts. Those lucky enough to survive this spell have reported feelings of momentary nausea, confusion, disorientation, or even brief lapses of consciousness. Effect: Offense down to target for critical hit, i.e. -200 offensive roll penalty for a number of rounds
Fireball (Delayed Blast): A signature spell of the battle-conscious arcanist, fireball evokes a flashy, searing explosion. As fireball is cast, a pea-sized mote of conspicuous red light is formed at the tips of Garland's fingers before flying forth and blossoming into a lovely flower of flame at its target. Due to its power and efficiency, fireball has the notoriety of being a ubiquitous spell in the repertoires of many magicians - making it very easy to counter if properly identified.
In addition to the original spell, Garland may cast a variation known as delayed blast fireball with two notable differences. First, the glowing red bead may have its detonation delayed by up to 30 seconds. During that time, the bead may be moved or thrown by another creature. Second, a delayed blast fireball is more complex in its execution, and explodes with far greater force. As a consequence of its increased power, delayed blast fireball places a greater strain on its caster's physical and mental stamina. (+200 offensive roll boost in the round it is used, -200 offensive roll penalty for the next round)
Phantom Sword: Garland conjures a narrow, shimmering field of shearing force which closely resembles a sword. He can direct the phantom sword to strike at any opponent that is near his location, requiring little to no effort beyond a simple mental command to assign or change its target. Garland may continue to use physical attacks or cast spells while the sword is active.
The phantom sword has no physical mass, and cannot be destroyed through physical means. However, the sword is mystically bound to Garland and cannot pursue an enemy beyond a short distance. If an enemy retreats beyond this range, then the sword will return to Garland and hover in place.
Antimagic Field: Garland creates a small, invisible field of antimagic extending up to ten feet around himself. This potent ward utterly negates the effect of mystical powers and qualities within its radius, affecting all forms of magic or supernatural energy. Other spells cannot take effect in the antimagic field while it remains active.
However, there are limits to such mortal power. While it cannot be used to end existing magical effects, the antimagic field will suppress them until the two no longer overlap (most often caused by Garland moving away). Also, until Garland dismisses the antimagic field, he cannot effectively use other magic spells.
Effect: Garland is unable to attack with / be attacked by magic for a number of rounds.
Zuoja's Gelid Scorn (Blizzard III) Attribute: Ice Range: Long, single/multi target Effect: Damage, Frozen negative status (unable to act) Description: This harsh convocation calls forth a cruel, bitterly cold blast of wind through the targeted area, chilling one or more subjects to the bone. The frigid temperatures are certainly powerful enough to freeze water and leech moisture from the air, and is jokingly rumored to be potent enough to cause rain on the sun's surface or to render an active volcano into dormancy. Effect: Critical hit will temporarily freeze the target
Sunburst: This spell partially recreates the overwhelming brilliance Garland experienced during his bonding with Eldetrius, calling forth a globe of intensely bright light at the intended target. It erupts into a wide burst of searing energy, blinding and burning every creature caught in the explosion. Sunburst will also destroy residual darkness magic in its path, quite literally burning it away into nothingness.
Undead creatures and other lifeforms that are sensitive to ultraviolet light are especially vulnerable to this spell.
(Ultimate attack: +500 roll bonus. Can be used once per battle. Causes blindness for one round: -250 roll penalty to enemies)
Passive abilities
Arcane Savant: Garland has received a thorough education in the arts of spellcraft, and is able to identify spells on a fundamental level (range, intended effect, duration, etc.) by investigating residual auras or witnessing them being cast by another individual.
Longevity: Garland still ages like a mortal being, but at significantly reduced rate. He ages one year in the time it takes for ordinary humans to age 40 years. He is resistant to poisons and toxins, and is no longer subject to the ravages of disease due to a gradual accumulation of antibodies.
Flight: To quickly travel across Shayllan and other environments, Garland has adapted levitation magics to suit his needs.
If Garland is using his celestial wings, his flight will more closely resemble that of a large bird than a smooth, straight line (or arc when considering planetary gravity). Flight magic would only serve to stabilize him in rough weather, or slow his fall in the event of a midair collision or similar disaster. (Effect: Immune to Gravity/Quake or other ground-based spells)
Eldritch Knight: Garland has extensively trained himself to fight and cast spells in armor, suffering no appreciable penalties when doing so.
- Zabuza:
1. Kubikiribōchō, The Executioner's Blade (Physical, single/multitarget) - Zabuza uses his sword, though it has a large reach due to its size, and he can throw it as well. (Large reach: +50 roll bonus) 2. Hidden Mist Technique (Multi-target) - Temporarily summons a thick mist that blankets a small area, making it difficult for enemies to see or hear Zabuza while within it. Element: Water (Effect if successful: +200 roll bonus for a number of rounds) 3. Water Style: Water Dragon Projectile (Single target) -Creates and attacks with a dragon shaped projectile made of water. It can track the target. Element: Water (Tracking: +100 roll bonus) 4. Water Style: Water Clone Technique (Buff ability) -Zabuza creates a single clone of himself out of water, and when destroyed, it will simply reform. It disappears if his real body is damaged and/or distracted, or it moves too far away from him. Element: Water 5. Water Style: Water Prison Technique (Single target) -Zabuza can trap an opponent in a solid bubble of water, keeping them immobile as long as he has one hand on it at all times. It will eventually knock out whoever is trapped (as they run out of air). He can only use his physical abilities while maintaining the prison, as he needs both hands to use magic. Element: Water (Effect if successful: immobilizes the enemy until he releases the power or is interrupted. Critical hit required to break concentration. Gradual damage to person trapped.) 6. Ultimate: Silent Killing Technique (Single target, more effective when used after the Hidden Mist Technique)- Zabuza closes in on a target undetected and strikes from their blind spot, going for their vitals and doing massive damage. Outside the mist, this is very low accuracy. Element: Physical Lowers target's health to 1 H2KO. Ultimate technique: +500 roll bonus. Can be used once per battle. V. low accuracy: -500 roll penalty, OR if in combination with Hidden Mist Technique, Low accuracy: -250 roll penalty.)
- Rocbouquet:
1. Temptation Attribute: None Range: Attack-All Description: Rocbouquet's signature move. The temptress stares at her victims with a longing gaze as she blows a magical kiss at them. This kiss produces a pleasantly alluring breeze full of deep-red rose petals which dance across the battlefield, charming all male opponents regardless of species. Female and gender-neutral beings are unaffected. Effect: Charm; individuals afflicted by the charm status randomly attack their allies or heal (if applicable) their enemies. This effect lasts 1-5 rounds. Note: The charm status effect does not necessarily cause the character to fall in love with her. To be charmed simply means that they succumbed to the magic, so if it is more appropriate for a certain character to act more like a zombie under the spell's influence, then so be it. It is also totally okay for characters to be aware that something weird is happening to them before they fall victim to Temptation, as that is how the ability is depicted in Imperial SaGa's cutscenes.
Low accuracy: -200 roll penalty. Effect is successful: Target is charmed. They will assist the opposing group (hurt allies / cure enemy) for a number of rounds.

If the opponent is not defending with a barrier or a shield at the time of the attack, he or she will only receive weak elemental damage. Effect: Barrier/shield-breaker; effect lasts one turn; Note: If a barrier provides immunity to Dark or Wind magic, it will have its effect removed , but the targeted individual will take no damage from Dark Wash. Additionally, a shield providing protection against Dark or Wind magic will become an ordinary shield for a turn, and the targeted individual will take no damage from Dark Wash.

To be considered only for impact - the boost will not be in effect for evasion.
11. (Summon) Lightning Attribute: Water + Wind Range: Attack-All Description: With the palm of her hand raised toward the heavens, Rocbouquet calls forth dark storm clouds from which she gathers an exorbitant amount electrical energy to unleash a massive charge across the entire battlefield, striking all enemies. Effect: The strength of ally magic is temporarily increased. Wide-range strike: Unavoidable attack to target! Roll will determine impact only. Defensive roll bonus (+100 or +250) to characters standing nearby. Restrictions: This ability is only accessible to Rocbouquet when she is in her Awakened form.

19. Fascinate Attribute: Dark Range: Single target Description: Rocbouquet's ultimate technique; A whirlwind of dazzling dark energy spirals around the temptress as she summons thorny vines to ensnare her victim. PASSIVE
Eternal Youth: Rocbouquet does not age with time because of her chosen subject of absorption: beautiful young women.
Speed demon: Rocbouquet is capable of achieving a maximum speed of 40 km/h (24mph) in stilettos.
Natural Charm: A demonic young woman characterized by an air of beauty and mystery, Rocbouquet is skilled at presenting herself in an appealing manner to both men and monsters. Her natural charm allows her to easily tame and cooperate with lesser monsters. It might also cause some men to feel more inclined to help her out—or at least more likely to acknowledge her presence.
Levitation/Flight: With the help of her spirits, Rocbouquet can levitate if she so desires. In her Awakened Form, she sprouts a pair of large black wings and is capable of flying on her own. (Effect: Immune to Gravity.)
Regen: Rocbouquet's body is constantly repairing itself from damage during battle. The regen status is triggered when dark, wind, or water spells are cast. Effect: 10% of maximum H2KO is restored every 3 rounds.
Magnificent Morale Booster: Rocbouquet's presence on the battlefield boosts the morale of her male allies. (Effect: +50 roll bonus to male allies.)
Spirit Assimilation: Highly sensitive beings may notice an unusually eerie presence looming over Rocbouquet, as countless souls are constantly gathered in and around her. Each time a man or monster dies protecting her while under the influence of her charm, they are bound to her for eternity if she chooses to absorb their souls. Even after death, these poor beings feel obliged to serve Rocbouquet in battle and will oftentimes reveal themselves to the living as glowing skulls whenever she appears to be in distress. Note: Wagnas and Noel taught Rocbouquet how to assimilate souls while she was still human, around the time they discovered Assimilation Magic and shared its secrets with the rest of the kingdom.
Rocbouquet Awakened: After uncovering the secrets of Salamat's Sunken Tower, Rocbouquet is able to channel her energy to unleash her fully-awakened power, which allows her to summon massive thunderstorms. Whenever she shifts to her awakened form, large black wings sprout from her back, the skirt-end of her dress becomes feather-like, and her hair whitens and stands upright.
Assimilation/Absorption Magic: Assimilation is an arcane technique that allows an individual to (1) gain a new body by attaching his or her soul onto a new vessel, (2) become the vessel that inherits or "absorbs" another soul, or (3) transplant a soul from one body to another. It was discovered by Wagnas and Rocbouquet’s brother, Noel; and was originally intended for use by the Ancients to extend their lives and rejuvenate the strength of those whose bodies were weakening from age or illness. The magic later became taboo when Dantarg decided to test it out for Noel and Wagnas by merging with a very large monster. As a result, the Seven Heroes were eventually banished to another dimension by the kingdom's council out of fear and for "misuse" of the ability, even though they had used it to save the world.
-Properties of Assimilation- 1) A vessel is influenced both mentally and physically by what he or she absorbs. The receiving vessel will often exhibit physical characteristics and mannerisms similar to those of the absorbed soul(s). Consequently, absorbing too many souls with malicious tendencies will lead to the corruption of the individual. This is what happened to the Seven Heroes. 2) Assimilation passes on all of an individual’s powers and memories. 3) Assimilation magic is typically activated by its caster upon their own death or the death of an ally, though it can also be used to transplant a healthy soul into a previously deceased body. 4) Unlike most magic, assimilation has no limit, enabling the Seven Heroes to live forever, endlessly amalgamating power and merging with whatever they please. It is rumored that the only way to stop their endless regeneration is to locate and destroy their real bodies. In Romancing SaGa 2, people involved with the anti-imperialist movement chose to follow the Seven Heroes because they were promised "a new body each time their current one faltered."
Rocbouquet’s primary subject of absorption is beautiful women, but she is also known to infuse her magic with the souls of men as indicated at one point in Imperial SaGa.
- Frieza:
(Low Base Stats in 1st Form: -100 roll penalty)
1. Physical Attack - Frieza attacks the target (Single Target) 2. Laser Finger - Frieza shoots an energy beam, doing massive damage on one target (Single Target) (Massive damage: +200 roll bonus. Can be used every other round.) 3. Ki Barrage - Frieza shouts out a barrage of Ki attacks, hitting one or multiple targets. (Damage/Targets) 4. Transformation - Frieza transforms into his next form, permanently raising his stats. (Low Base Stats in 1st Form) (Permanent stat raise: +200 roll bonus compared to 1st Form (+100 net). Further transformations give half the previous bonus.) 5. Powering up - Frieza concentrates his Ki, boosting his attack. (Effect: next attack will get a +300 roll bonus) 6. Concentrated Ki Explosion (Ultimate) - Frieza concentrates a Ki Explosion at a Targets Body, dealing massive damage and having a small chance to kill it (Ultimate attack: +500 roll bonus. Can be used once per battle.)
- Buggy:
Active
1. Chemical Expertise: example: he was able to create a cannon ball the size of a mothball with enough power to destroy a town. (Ultimate attack: +500 roll bonus. Can be used once per battle.)
2. Most of his body can fly through the air with enough force to send someone flying through a wall BUT Buggy’s feet have to be on the ground for this to work. in other words he would have to be split into pieces most times.
3. Bara Bara Japanese Cracker: To do this Buggy must be holding 4 knives in each hand and have his shoe-knife out. he then jumps up and spins rapidly at his opponent. Example: https://youtu.be/WXfigKCj5TM (start at 18 seconds-ends at 32 seconds)
4. Bara Bara Emergency Escape: Buggy can use this against someone attacking him to detach a body part or parts to avoid attacks. Doesn’t always work. (Effect: +300 to defensive roll against one attack)
5. Muggy Ball: A "Muggy Ball" is shaped just like one of Buggy's larger "Buggy Balls" that normally go into cannons. One difference is that these "Muggy Balls" can be concealed on a person and transported easily.
As for power, it has the same explosiveness as a "Buggy Ball"(similar to a hand grenade) but does not require a cannon. It has been shown that Buggy can kick these with his shoe (an example of launching one) or he could just throw them as well.
Passive
1. Bara Bara no Mi: He ate this Devil Fruit which gave him the ability to be immune to Slashing, cutting and Cleaving attacks. any such attack just separates him into his component parts, allowing him to reform as needed. (Effect: Immune to slashing/cutting/cleaving attacks)
- Sunset Shimmer:
Powers: (Note: her magic aura is light green in color, similar to her eye color) 1. Summon Hammer (Single/Multi-target, melee) - summons a large hammer, themed in Sunsets colors, that she uses her telekinesis to hit enemies with. 2. Magic Beam (Single/Multi-target, ranged) - shoots a laser like beam from her horn. Single target is more powerful than the wider spread multi-target version Single-target: +200 roll bonus. Multi-target: -200 roll penalty. 3. Magic Barrier (Defense) - creates a barrier to protect her or others if she chooses Total protection of 500 roll points. 4. Teleport (Single/Multi-target) - can teleport herself or others to different locations. Can also teleport objects (like a large boulder) to use against enemies. 5. Sunlight Heal (single target) - puts a bandaid on someone that is injured. Maybe it will help. Weaker/unreliable Cure: -300 roll penalty 6. Come to Life Spell - can make inanimate objects animate and do as she wishes, to some extent. A roll will determine how much damage the object(s) she animates need to take before the spell is broken (i.e. a roll of 500 will require an object to be overpowered by cumulative 500 roll points). This is divided between the number of objects she animates. They attack and defend with a standard roll range of 0 - 999, but are eligible for minor hits (0.5 H2KO) only. 7. Dark Magic (Ultimate attack; ultimate power up) - Sunset powers up using dark magic. Her magic beam turns dark green with black crystals that can paralyze an enemy; her barrier turns black and if an enemy touches it, black crystals grow on their body Ultimate attack: can be used once per battle. All magic moves get a +250 roll bonus for 3 rounds once activated. Magic Beam and physical contact with Magic Barrier have chance of paralyzing the enemy.
Passive abilities
8. General Magic Use - can use magic to pick up things, hold items (due to no hands), lift other persons up, open doors, etc. Think everyday life stuff. 9. Summon/Transfiguration - can summon objects or transform objects at will. Ex. pacifier for whiny babies, turn a frog into a apple frog, clothing for her to wear, etc.

| I have a question! Since Dissidia is a fighting game would we need to create attacks similar to game (or if you're rping a character that is actually already in it, would we just use theirs) and then add them in the profile for our character? Ex: Would we need to create an EX Mode for instance? I was once in a Dissidia AU and we were required to do all this so I just wanted to double check. I'll be claiming Rinoa Heartilly and she'll be fighting for Cosmos. |

| Any battles within the storyline will not follow the battle system of Dissidia. So as far as profiles go, you should simply add the powers and techniques they were able to use in their original universe.
Rinoa is from FFVIII, correct? Will add her in ^^ |

Question! If I wanted to enter with my FFXIV character, should I modify her profile to include that (via game storyline for player characters) she's a Warrior of Light for the Goddess to make it jive more with being selected to fight for Cosmos? I.E. should I just go ahead and make her the "official" main character of the FFXIV storyline just for this rp? |

I.E. should I just go ahead and make her the "official" main character of the FFXIV storyline just for this rp? As long as her moral compass and personality clearly make her a character sided with good, then she's good to go! By that I mean: she doesn't need to be a little angel, nor does she need to be someone who will take orders from Cosmos with no questioning at all. Basically, as long as her heart is in the right place, she's Team Cosmos. Buuut - while for canon characters, I would say leave them as they are, you don't need to tweak them for this. For an OC, I'd just say up to you - if she's ultimately good, she's okay as she is, but if you'd like to make some tweaks anyway, go for it ^^ That character will be the representative for FFXIV here either way, even if she never were the main character within her own storyline. - Andalusite wrote:

Depends on when most people are ready! I'm looking into having at least 3-5 protagonist profiles approved before starting. A team for Chaos is not actually necessary to start (but would be nice anyway), but I can probably arrange for additional characters to be added in the storyline at a later point too ^^ |

She doesn't have too much to work with personality-wise since she's the boss of a single world, but I think it would be fun to build upon her implied character using bits and pieces of information from the game's NPCs and logic! | Added! Just a note about the time your character gets summoned from - as far as good guys go, they can come from any point from their timeline, but they have not yet defeated the main villain of their storyline. Bad guys, they have not been defeated (for good) and/or killed yet - no resurrection has been involved in their summoning. So their knowledge/memories, if they come to discussion at all within the story, need to reflect this. In short, all characters are summoned from the middle of their story, more or less. More to the beginning or closer to the end, that's up to you! @Andalusite - I really like the first one, personally! But I also do like how the second one is rather more unique, the first being I guess more stereotypically beautiful. |

Lol! That's exactly why I'm having trouble deciding! I love her original design, but I also like how her updated appearance makes her seem a bit snobbier, while presenting her beauty as kind of...questionable? XD Idk, maybe it's just me, but that new design makes her seem more like a hypocrite whenever she's all, "BLAHBLAHBLAH EVERYBODY ELSE IS TOO UGLY BLAHBLAHBLAHBLAH. ONLY BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE ARE ALLOWED IN MY CITY." More questions: 1. Since we're using relaxed profiles for this, did you want us to add an additional emphasis on abilities/attacks/powers so that we all have them as a reference? 2. Do you have a preference as to how I take Venus' OP 1HKO spell Erase (/Death) and somehow make it so that it is less OP to characters outside of FFL2? The name itself already hints at how OP it could be, and you already said no killing characters. lmao3. Are the characters allowed to keep the immunities (e.g. can't be hurt by fire spells) they have in their respective games/worlds? |

3. Are the characters allowed to keep the immunities (e.g. can't be hurt by fire spells) they have in their respective games/worlds? Things aren't final, but this is what I'm thinking so far: 1. Emphasis on abilities/powers would be good! For the record, just so everyone has an easier quick reference to player abilities, I will probably ask everyone to pick around up to 6 powers/spells that they will be able to use (and provide a short description), sort of like "equipped spells". The character totally knows everything they should from their universe, but they will simply end up using those. Switching would be allowed (outside battles) to add different ones to the pre-selected six. 2. I still need to decide how the battles will take place - either simple RP and have players decide effects, or poke Kyra for permission/help to incorporate a simpler version of dice-and-stats she uses for her HC events (in that case, spells like these would probably have a rather low accuracy). 3. Yes yes absolutely yes! Elemental weaknesses, strengths and immunities will likely come into play! |

So in FFL, the immunities take up an equip slot...Should I keep that logic as is? If I do, it would give her exactly 6 abilities. XD |

Hmm I'm not entirely sure how that game mechanics work, does the character choose an immunity, or cast a spell to create an immunity, or...? I'm more used to innate immunities, like "this is a lava monster, so obviously fire magic will heal it and water magic will destroy it, it's a given" (well, even with less obvious cases), so trying to make sure I get how it works xD |

I'd say its all of the above. XD For example, characters from the esper/mutant class gain and/or lose immunities naturally as they grow. Monsters have natural immunities/weaknesses too. But characters can also gain immunity to certain elements with armor, or these ancient relics of the gods called magi. Oh and they can get turn-based immunity with some shields and some attacks/spells. In Venus' case, I'd think it would be from possessing so many relics since she's a goddess, but in the game, player characters can only equip one at a time. I just looked up a quick video of the fight and she drops 8 of them--four of which correspond to the immunities covered by her passive skill "O-Damage." O.o lmao So I'm not sure if I should argue that "O-Damage" is just a natural passive ability or the result of her greedily gathering so many relics together at once. XD |

| Hmm okay. Well, the 6 "pre-equipped" spells is not about literal equipment - the character knows everything, I just want players to focus on 6 so that other players know better what they're up against. So as far as immunities go, whether they are innate or based on relics she holds, I'd say have her be exactly as she was in her boss battle. Is she immune to all elementals? So be it. There still is lots of non-elemental magic available (and there's also traditional slicing and dicing~)
I hope that helps! Let me know if you need to clarify more on this ^^ |

| Okay everyone! I would like to get this started by mid-December and throw it in for the revisited November challenge! (and possibly AUgust too, I think it works) Characters will still be able to join after we start (I have already thought of how they will be introduced), so no worries if someone is unable to join right now! But for everyone who'd like to start together, hope you have time to get those profiles approved by then! @Everyone, when you have some time (though it is not urgent and can wait until after we have started), I would like you to pick 6 powers that your character will generally use. One should be a basic physical attack (unless your character never physically attacks), one should be an ultimate technique, and four regular ones (spells? sword techniques? whatever your character does!) You will be allowed to replace some if you want during the RP. Also, please make sure to list elemental strengths if your powers carry some! As an example, here are mine for Angela. - Powers:
1. Physical attack - Angela attacks with her staff 2. Holy Ball (Single/Multi-target) - Can damage one enemy, or all enemies on the screen with balls of Light. Element: Light 3. Fireball (Single/Multi-target) - Launches missile-like fireballs at the enemies. Element: Fire 4. Dark Force (Single target) - Makes a black circle close in on an enemy, followed by a series of damaging darkness orbs. Element: Darkness 5. Thunderstorm (Single target) - Makes a fierce lightning bolt strike one enemy from above. Element: Wind 6. Ultimate technique: Ancient (Multi-target) - Meteors fall from the sky towards the enemies, finishing with one giant meteor. Element: None

| - Samus's Abilities:
1. Screw Attack- Samus curls up and somersaults while giving off a deadly energy, turning into a charged ball that damages enemies on contact. (This changes to her Paralyzing pistol/whip weapon when her Power Armor is removed) 2. Power Beam (Single target, rapid fire)-Fires a volley of energy blasts from her Arm Cannon 3. Ice Beam (Single target) - Fires a stream of cold energy from Arm Cannon that damages and freezes on contact. Element: Ice 4. Missiles (Single target/long range) - Fires missiles that explode on contact from Arm Cannon, Limited ammo. 5. Bombs (Multitarget, short range)- Leaves an energy bomb while in Morph Ball mode, exploding after a couple of seconds. 6. Ultimate technique: Zero Laser (Multi-target, Long Range)- Samus charges up and fires a massive beam from her arm cannon, tearing down obstacles in its way and catching anyone in its large, sweeping radius. The laser is so powerful that it will temporarily overwhelm her Power Suit and force her to remove it until it recovers a short while later.

Just think of how you would have him act in a battle, characters with no magic are perfectly fine! He can totally use his fabled blue attack after all.
