He knows humans are too stupid to understand he is a Pokemon trainer and not a wild Pokemon, so he wears a Pokemon trainer baseball cap on his head. Charmander doesn't have any money, so he had to steal his hat from a child. It is thus smaller than usual and sort of fits his head. It still tends to fall down over his eyes, much to his annoyance. He also wears a small pouch, a gift from a fellow trainer, around his waist to carry his Pokéballs and items. It is a bit too big, but won't fall off.

Charmander has an inflated ego and already firmly believes he is the best Pokemon trainer. He just needs a bit of time to show all of the humans that his way of training is far superior to their own. His methods are a bit unorthodox and the humans will be in for quite a shock when they get a load of this Pokemon trainer. He is aggressive and blunt and not afraid to fight dirty as dirty as a tiny lizard can fight. Charmander's native language is Pokemon and he barely understands human, but he's great at charades.

He's hot-headed and quick to react to situations based mostly on emotion. He has his own way of doing things and he's not very knowledgeable on how humans are expected to train Pokemon. So, often his methods appear odd to others, including his own Pokemon. But, what about a Pokemon becoming a Pokemon trainer ever seemed to be predictable and usual? 

Universe Specific Information: 
Charmander used to be held by Professor Oak as a starter Pokemon for new trainers. But, Charmander decided humans are stupid and he could be a much better trainer than any human. So, he escaped when a new trainer was deciding which starter Pokemon to pick. But, now, he needs to acquire his first Pokemon and set of Pokeballs, so he's going to join the newest batch of beginner trainers.

Charmander acquired his first Pokemon, Bulbasaur, and his first egg from Professor Maple along with the other Pokemon trainers in his 'class.' Many of the other Pokemon trainers reacted to Charmander with confusion, but most seemed ready to accept his status as a trainer. One such trainer even offered Charmander his first item, a small pouch, so he could carry Pokeballs more easily. 

Because he has very little background on the process and particulars of Pokemon training, Charmander made a few small mistakes. He may have already burned his Pokemon on accident and he also has an eternal rival, a fellow trainer's Charmander. Unfortunately, Charmander the trainer did not begin his rivalry with finesse and he challenged the trainer's Pokemon to a battle without the trainer's consent and without Bulbasaur too busy picking out an egg, because Charmander was distracted. Oops. 

Additional Information: 
Bulbasaur: Although Bulbasaur first thought it was really weird for a fellow Pokémon to be his trainer, he has mostly accepted the idea. Bulbasaur is well aware that Charmander often gets in way over his head because of his own ego and eagerness to achieve quickly. So, Bulbasaur tries to be the Pokémon that keeps his trainer out of trouble, but it is proving more difficult than Bulbasaur anticipated. Bulbasaur is intelligent, patient, and protective of the egg Charmander received when he first became a trainer. He doesn't anything more about Pokemon training than Charmander knows, so they are both winging it. 

Egg: A Pokémon egg that Bulbasaur prefers to carry in the bulb on his back. It is unknown what Pokémon it is, but Charmander has high hopes for it a fabulously, fantastic and already fully evolved water Pokemon that can smoosh the other Charmander flat. Bulbasaur is protective of the egg.

RP Sample:
Charmander looked shocked at the suggestion he was challenging the other Pokemon to a battle. Oh, shoot, that wasn't how it was supposed to work! But, Bulbasaur was up to the task, right? He had the strongest trainer in the world, after all!  

Charmander extended a clawed finger toward the other Charmander and called his battle cry, "Char, Charmander!" ("Bulbasaur, I choose you!")

Charmander's face fell as his Pokemon did not stride confidently onto the battlefield. In fact, Bulbasaur wasn't even nearby. It was touching one of the eggs with his vines.

"Charmander! Charmander char!" The trainer called again for his Bulbasaur. This time, Bulbasaur walked up and stood next to his trainer. Charmander looked at the egg on Bulbasaur's back and sighed in exasperation, as if to ask 'where did you get that?' 

"Bulba!" It smiled happily and pet the egg with one vine.
