Honestly, I didn't even notice the line in your header NQS, but actually working with the image made me take notice. ^^

I noticed it at first but I trusted your judgement to leave it since you are the teacher   I kinda agree with Small Lady that it balances the overall header in a way

I didn't really notice, I don't think, but working with it myself has made it more obvious.

Are we going to get to learn how to finish this header?

Since Queenie is on pretty much a extended school LOA, the class may be postponed until she can get some free time again. Though, I certainly wouldn't mind putting up the rest of the steps if she has them already typed up or something.

Alright! Sorry for the delay!


This is gonna be a lil different than the other lessons.


We will be finishing today with the fonts.

For "The Galaxy Cauldron Forums" font, I am using "thing press" with these settings:

I have also applied a "drop shadow" because the pure white it hard to see on the light background.

I got to those settings by clicking here: (Again there are many ways)

I keep my settings very simple in this:





For the last font, I used a beloved pixel font, "silkscreen" for the "a fan forum" slogan


Here is what the settings are on: REALLY IMPORTANT TO MAKE SURE THE ANTI ALIAS BOX IS SET TO NONE, this is the box found to what language I am typing in (English UK) as you can see in the image. It's the lil box with the two different "a"s.




Once again, I used a "Layer Style" but this time, instead of choosing "drop shadow" I chose "Stroke" (once again many ways to do this) however here are the settings for the outline: (these literally are the only settings I ever use for silkscreen or a pixel font ever)





And that's pretty much it :3 I hope this makes sense!

I just want to point out that if your program doesn't already have these fonts, you can go to dafont.com and search for them using the name that Queenie provided. Then all you have to do is download it, unzip it, open it and install it. It should then show up on your list of fonts under it's name =D

Dafont.com usually has a lot of different fonts, but if you can't find one, you can always use Google to find one for you ^^

To Add to Diana, I know that these fonts do not come standard on your programs.  I LOVE dafont and use them for both commercial and personal per suites. Please read the opening post for more information on text. When I originally posted the thread I went into more depth on text and fonts and how to download.

Okay, I tried it xD But I have a problem. So, I downloaded the fonts on dafont.com and did the settings the way you did. However, my "The Galaxy Cauldron Forums" doesn't look as bold as yours does

Alright here's mine=o It doesn't look exactly like your's though, especially the 'A Sailor Moon Fan Forum' part =o I think it might be because you had that fi or fl icon selected, but it was grayed out for me and I'm not sure why =o But here's mine right now ^^
