Physical Description (include clothing generally worn): Hotaru is a small girl of about 5'1" - 5'2". She has dark hair, dark eyes and pale skin. Generally she is pale and rather frail looking, though she can become flushed when under stress. Her usual wardrobe consists of dark clothing or earth tones, though she has occasionally been seen in light colors depending upon her mood. Hotaru also often wears hats to fit her mood or wardrobe and always has sensible shoes.


Personality: Hotaru is a very positive person despite her years of isolation. She is very reserved because of this but is still willing to be welcoming when shown kindness. Of all the senshi, she has the greatest faith in the power of Sailor Moon to overcome any obstacle. She retains her hope through all odds, probably because of all Sailor Moon and Chibiusa did for her while possessed with Mistress 9 and activating as Sailor Saturn. 


Hotaru is very protective of those with whom she is close. She is also willing to do almost anything for them including sacrificing herself, even as a Senshi with her (self- and) world-ending attack if the situation is dire enough. Due to this she is also very selective in the use of her powers. She does not get easily flustered but will express her displeasure when warranted, like with Kaolinite living in her household and being antagonistic. Hotaru is very mature for her age; she is humble and does not brag or boast about herself, nor focus on her weaknesses.


Any Unique Abilities/Skills: Hotaru can heal minor cuts and wounds on herself and others.

History: Hotaru was born to Professor Tomoe and his wife Keiko in Tokyo. Together they had a pleasant family life while Hotaru was a small child. However, tragedy struck when there was an explosion and fire in her father's research lab. Souichi was there that day and died in the fire. Hotaru nearly did as well, but Professor Tomoe was contacted by Pharaoh 90 with an offer to save his daughter. In the process, he and Hotaru were bonded to some of Pharaoh 90's daimons. With time, Professor Tomoe's strange experiments (under possession) caused him to be expelled from the scientific community. He then founded Mugen Gakuen (Infinity Academy) as a recruiting ground for the Death Busters to find daimon hosts, fronting as an elite private school.

During this time, Hotaru became frail and sickly. She also had lapses of memory and would be accused of actions and behaviors which she did not remember afterward. This split personality (actually the daimon within) coupled with her strange ability to heal minor wounds made her an outcast at school. It wasn't until one fateful day when reading alone in the park she happened to help a girl chasing after her hat lost in the wind by the name of Chibiusa. They became instant friends and for the first time since her mother's passing, Hotaru felt warmth in her life once again.

However, this happiness was short-lived as the machinations of the Death Busters awakened Mistress 9, the daimon within her, who then consumed Chibusa's pure heart for power.  Mistress 9 nearly brought about the destruction of the world by opening passage for Pharaoh 90, but was destroyed when Hotaru awakened as Sailor Saturn and used her immense destructive power to rid the world of Mistress 9 and Pharaoh 90. However, she was reborn a baby in the process.

Later, Sailor Pluto came to take her in with Uranus and Neptune for her re-aging and re-awakening to face the great threats against their home solar system. She re-aged to help the rest of the senshi against Queen Nehelenia. Normal life resumed as she lived with Setsuna, Haruka, and Michiru until she joined the final battle against Galaxia, only to be slain by Uranus and Neptune when they accepted Galaxia's offer to join her side. Sailor Moon saved everyone in the end, and Hotaru returned to peaceful like with her surrogate family.

Senshi Name: Sailor Saturn

Senshi Fuku: The primary colors of her fuku are purple and dark red. Originally she had a star resembling a pure heart crystal instead of a gem on her bow, but it became a purple heart-shaped gem with the Super power-up. She has elbow length gloves, longer than the other senshi, as well as knee-high lace up boots.

Henshin/Transformation: Saturn Crystal - "Saturn Crystal Power, Make Up!"

Powers: 
-Death Reborn Revolution: Sailor Saturn calls for strong ribbons that bind a foe. The ribbons produce a strong negative energy to drain the target. 
-Silent Wall: Sailor Saturn creates an invisible, impenetrable barrier to block attacks 
-Silence Glaive Surprise: Sailor Saturn creates a planetary sphere of energy atop the Silence Glaive which she then throws at an enemy, much like World Shaking/Deep Submerge/Dead Scream 
-Hotaru has the power to destroy planets by wordlessly lowering the Silence Glaive to the ground. This is her most powerful attack and she will die and be reborn an infant when using it.

RP Sample: Hotaru faced the wall after Kaori left her room. The nerve of that woman, she thought. I feel awful enough after one of my memory spells, but she always rubs it in my face. Hotaru sighed to herself and rolled onto her back. Light was creeping around the blinds drawn in her windows and the faint noise of birds came through the glass. She slowly pulled herself out of bed to take a look.
The day was breezy and sunny, and suddenly she wanted nothing more than to be anywhere but her house. Lately the seizures and memory lapses had been happening more frequently, so she hadn't gone anywhere except to school, not that there was anyone who wanted to see her there either. A few nights ago had been the worst spike she had ever experienced. It was something more than a seizure, a great explosion of burning pain so bright she couldn't stop herself from crying out. The past few days had been spent resting from that awful experience.

Today however she felt the best she had in weeks. She looked over at the book on her nightstand that was only one quarter finished and decided to go to the park and read in the sunshine. About the only thing Kaori would do for her would be to inform her father of her absence, so she pulled on some comfortable clothes, turned off her beloved lamp collection, and went to venture outside.
Today feels like a new beginning, she thought.
