Appearance: Hotaru stands at 4 ft. 10 in. tall, her body rather thin and frail. Her eyes are violet-colored and her skin is very pale. She has black hair with a purple hue that reach down a little higher than her shoulders.

Due to an lab accident when she was a small child, several parts of her body are artificial. Her body was restored once she was awakened as Sailor Saturn.

Hotaru likes dressing in black and would typically wear long-sleeved clothing and stockings, which also helped cover-up her cyborg-like appearance. As an Infinity Academy student, she wore the school's uniform - a red long-sleeved shirt with a green skirt, black leggings and black shoes.

At her second chance at life thanks to the Silver Crystal, and due to Chibiusa's influence, she would also dress in brighter colors as well.

Personality: Hotaru is typically very shy and reserved. She is usually seen by herself at school, the other students often making fun of her, but also intimidated by her strange abilities and demeanor. She is very smart and learns things very quickly - in fact, her accelerated growth after she was reborn wad also matched by an ability to learn things at a quickened pace as well. Her personality was affected by her possession of Mistress 9, and she would turn cold and vindictive when her alter ego was taking control. She is rather pessimistic and believes that she does not amount to much due to her frail nature and constant seizures, and even believes herself to be a threat to those she loves as she would lose control of her own actions.

As Saturn, she was mostly bound by her duty, her only purpose being to end the world when it could no longer be saved. As she herself had observed, she was always rather like the uninvited guest, as she was feared by everyone. Fighting alongside Sailor Moon changed that outlook of hers, making her more than just the Warrior of Ruin.

After becoming friends with Chibiusa, and especially after she is reborn, she becomes much more open to other people, and shows a more hopeful and optimistic side of her. She feels very strongly for her friend, possibly similarly to how the Inners feel about their princess, and she may get jealous if she becomes too close with other kids.

Much like the rest of the Outers, she is always ready to sacrifice herself for the greater good if the situation calls for it. This is depicted when she uses her power against Pharaoh 90, as well as being ready to do the same against Nehelenia and Galaxia, even though such an action would cost her life.

She has a hobby of collecting lamps and enjoys world history. She is not good at sports due to her sickly nature but she likes watching some of them. She dislikes milk with a passion and she dreams of becoming a nurse.

Any Unique Abilities/Skills: She is able to heal minor wounds by placing her hand over them.

History: During her previous life, she was the senshi of death and rebirth, Sailor Saturn. She only awakened when the Silver Millenium fell, and as she was summoned by the three Talismans, it was time for her to drop the Silence Glaive and eliminate the remains of the Moon Kingdom, paving the way for rebirth.

In modern-day Tokyo, she was reborn as Hotaru Tomoe, daughter of scientist and professor Souichi Tomoe. Due to a lab accident that cost the life of her mother and very nearly hers, she was practically reconstructed by her father as a cyborg in order to continue living, with artificial body parts. Even so, she was still very frail and would often get seizures.

In her body, two different personas resided - Mistress 9, as her father turned her into a vessel for the Death Busters, but also her previous incarnation, Sailor Saturn. Her personality and demeanor changed at times they surfaced and took control of her. She fully awakened as Mistress 9 once she absorbed Chibiusa's heart crystal. Hotaru's feelings towards her friend and her father caused her to overcome that control, destroy Mistress 9 from the inside and awaken as Sailor Saturn. She jumped into the core of Pharaoh 90 as the only one with enough power to obliterate him, but as Super Sailor Moon managed to follow her, she rescued her soul and Hotaru was reborn as a baby.

Some years later, Hotaru is taken from her father by Setsuna and raised by her, Haruka and Michiru, as Hotaru needs to prepare for a new threat to the world. She grows rapidly and eventually reawakens as Sailor Saturn once more, also granting the other Outers their Super forms. She joins the rest of the senshi in their mission to rescue Mamoru from Nehelenia, as well as in the battle against Galaxia. She dies after having her star seed taken by Uranus and Neptune in an attempt to fool Galaxia, but she is revived once Sailor Moon manages to purify Galaxia from Chaos.

Was this really the end?

Saturn just couldn't believe it. How could Uranus and Neptune so easily abandon their duty as Sailor Soldiers? Betray their Princess like that? How could they possibly be so willing to live on as Galaxia's puppets? This was not like them at all. She felt a sense of disgust taking her over as Pluto questioned them.

But their response made everything fall into place.

"You know why."
"Because it is our way of fighting."

Right. This was their way of fighting.

They would do what needed to be done for the greater good. Even if it meant sacrificing their very lives, as well as the lives of their allies.

To protect the world. And to protect the princess.

And as one of the senshi of the Outer Solar System, Saturn would not back down either.

She closed her eyes, bracing herself for the inevitable end. She would believe in them.

And above all, even if this did not work. She would believe in her Princess.

Please note how Hotaru is a precocious child and learned things very quickly after she was reborn, and that she is also always ready to sacrifice herself for the greater good should the situation deems it necessary (as when she threatened to kill Nehelenia and Galaxia in the anime even if it would also kill herself - you showed this in the RP sample, too!)

And lastly, how Saturn used to always feel like the uninvited guest, as she was never meant to awaken except when things are really dire and she needs to end the world, so this whole having an actual life thing is a very new thing for her.
