Ooh, tough choice. I really like the first one (especially the collar) but I do think the second is probably more badass Mars-y as the first is very feminine. I like the second shoes choice best though (red heels plus tights)!

I've tried using that same doll maker for Mako, but the options have virtually no green at all, and nothing really seemed to fit, so I'm going to try to find something else to use! Or I might just end up drawing her, I dunno yet!

This is going to be awesome! I'm going to be less busy today, so I'll start working on Minako And maybe see if I could make a magical girl outfit that would suit her. And also I'm debating on what powers to give her. I'm thinking either swords kinda like Sayaka or a revamped Love-Me Chain for an actual weapon, and since she wished for fame and a career as an idol, maybe she could perhaps wear headphones and a mike that would warp her voice and basically turn her singing into another thing used to fight witches. Idk; I'm just spouting ideas.

I kind of snagged swords for Ami already ^^ And Rei is using bow and arrows, I believe. Others are still free though! I LOVE the idea of using her chain somehow, modifying it as a weapon. And the mike idea is clever, too, except I kinda see that kind of thing for girlier shows than Madoka xD Our girls need badass weapons!

She could use a whip type of thing to substitute the chains? Like a deadly whip type thing haha xD Like this one! Obviously not exactly thiiiiis one but just so you get the idea xD

I am on LOA still until 7/7/14, but I want to begin working on Usagi.... But I won't be afraid to admit that this girl is stuck on how to begin her character development.... help? 

 

What do you mean specifically? Is it figuring out her history before the start of the story that's giving you trouble?

This is a little embarrassing to admit, but when I watched this anime, I was a tiny bit confused by it... but regardless I loved it. 

Is Usagi a Magical Girl Prior to the story start, or is she already one and I need to make up how that occurred and why she is so special? Etc etc. If I know this, I can easily knock out the profile...

 

Yes, Usagi is already a magical girl before we start RPing. It will start with all the girls already making their contract actually, Usagi's just been at it the longest. The reason she's so special is related to her wish (she wants to fight the witches for eternity). If there's anything you're confused or unsure about, don't hesitate to ask ^^

So should I make up a back story and play off of what really occured at the end of the real anime?

Her backstory is pretty much that she grew up like Usagi in Sailor Moon did (with the same family and all) up until she's 16. That's when she met Kyubey and he offered her a chance to be a magical girl. She was unsure, but then she saw witches and maybe they hurt some people she cares about? (You can make up this middle part and how she got to the next point) But eventually Usagi sees how dangerous they are, and Usagi being Usagi (and there was no magical girl in Juuban yet which means no one was defending the people) she made the wish to be a magical girl who could fight them forever. Thus her Soul Gem is incorruptible (also because she's the type of person who never loses hope).

It kind of is like the ending of the PMMM anime, yeah, except she doesn't disappear from everyone's memories obviously, or eliminate witches completely. She's just an eternal magical girl, sort of.

For my realm of influence....? Everyone has a theme.... but what would you say Usagi's "realm" was? Heart?

What about Light for Usagi? It could work in a number of ways: She's like a beacon who draws in evil beings, her soul gem can not be darkened, and light is often a synonym for good, which Usagi most definitely is xD

I used this one though because the previous one didn't have any good options for Makoto at all xD And I really like this one, it has a ton of options and specific sets for warrior/archer/mage but you can mix and match any of them together too. I wouldn't mind that, buuut... can we maybe make it an unlocked power? So Usagi doesn't know she has it yet? A big part of Kyubey's plan to cause ultimate despair in Usagi is by making her bond with her 'guardians', wait for them to self-destruct (become witches) and force Usagi to kill them with her own hands. Ultimately I want this part to still happen (the whole angsty bit when she discovers one of them turning into a witch), only for Usagi to refuse to play by the rules and sacrifice anyone, especially someone she loves, to protect the rest of the world (so more like the Usagi we're familiar with and saw at the end of S). That could be when she unlocks the power to purify witches?

As for her weapon, it can be anything! Besides, I believe Rei already has the bow and arrow.

I was think about something simple and small, but can still knock a powerful punch. This is sort of the same power Aelita has from Code Lyoko and below are a few photos to explain it better visually. But what I have in mind is instead of making one or two at a time, Usagi can make several energy balls, this energy symbolizes her "light".

Yaay! I've been thinking about how to start the RP. I'll put up the playing thread later today   

Okay! The thread is up on the Free Form forum!

Here's how I think we will start: the girls will stumble into each other for the first time in battle. There's perhaps more than one witch that Usagi (or any of them really) is battling, and the others got drawn into it (whether by Kyubey's directions or not, but he DOES want to gather them all and make them friends). So we go in straight to the action, vanquish the witch(es), and then the girls can get to know each other. Kyubey would explain Usagi's uniqueness and encourage the girls to be friends (more likely to survive by working together, etc). I imagine some of them would at least be happy to find real friends - at least I know Ami would. But there's no need to rush into that. Let's start and figure out our own pace, ease the girls slowly into it ^^

I can post first to set the scene later!
