The Galaxy Cauldron's Anthem plays over the loudspeakers across the forum, calling Olympic watchers to the grand viewing room. Immediately Pinkateers are greeted with small flutes of sparkling drinks and escorted to uber-plush couches and chairs before an impressively large television screen. As soon as the Pinkateers were seated and comfortable, the wait staff then took care of the other guests, those unofficially affiliated with the Olympic Teams who had followed the sound and the smells to the expertly decorated room.

The television popped on in a flash of light, revealing the top runner in the Olympic Rings contest:

The screen flashes to an overhead view of the arena,

and then a side-view of the region above, panning over the treeline to reveal four helicopters hovering around each corner of the map. As one, the four tributes were unceremoniously kicked from their transport and, clutching a dufflebag to their chests, fell the not-so-deadly distance to crash into the canopy and hit the ground.

Blake did not scream as he fell from the helicopter, instead, after glimpsing the locations of the other tributes, he closed his eyes and covered his head with his arms in an effort to protect himself. Before hitting the ground he hit a tree branch; once landed, he opened his eyes.

"A branch, that must have been funny to witness," He joked to himself.

He stood up on his feet and begin to feel dizzy. After a few seconds he checks my arms, there are a few scratches on the left one from hitting that branch. He feels slightly beat up, so before he does anything else, he searches his backpack.

After he had found out what he had, he closed the bag and put it inside his backpack. Then, he began to search the area, seemingly for food. 

Finding raspberries and acorns, he put the items inside the backpack. As soon as he was finished, he began walking.

She stood up unsteadily, brushed off the leaves that had stuck to her, and without a backward glance headed out of her area.

Small Lady fell through the canopy of the thick trees, hitting several branches (very painfully), before a tree branch managed to snag her backpack and stop her fall.  The jolt of the stop caused her to lose consciousness for a few moments. When she came to, Small Lady awoke to feeling like her shoulders were about to come out of socket. Realized the precarious situation she was in, Small Lady scrambled to grab onto a limb that could hold her. She had grabbed onto a sturdy branch and started to pull herself up when SNAP the limb broke and she fell, screaming, a few more branches down before catching herself again, the branch hitting her chest hard, knocking the breath out of her.

Small Lady's traditional bun style had become undone and her hair was covering her face. She hung onto the branch for her life and gave herself a few moments to recuperate. Looking down below, she could see that she that high up. If the trees hadn't broken her fall when they did, she would've smacked into the ground. "Lovely" she thought.  Slowly, she began climbing towards the trunk the branch belonged to. Once she was steady, Small Lady began to search the area from her spot in the trees. She still had her backpack, though one of the straps looked like it was about to fall apart, but her small dufflebag...she no longer had that. Hopefully looking around would help. After that, she would begin to see what supplies she was given and then set up camp.

Once spotted, Small Lady decided it was time to get out of the tree, which she felt may provide cover later, even though she wasn't exactly the best tree climber out there. Since she wasn't very far up, Small Lady managed to hang from a branch and drop down, rolling on the ground. She quickly got up and rushed over to her dufflebag. Quickly taking the backpack off, she unzipped both bags and emptied out their contents to see what was inside.

Tiana looked in her two bags to find an assortment of goodies.  Laying it all out she took note of every item.  In the duffel bag there was wouldn'tyouliketoknow and in the backpack there was Unable to reveal to public at this time.  Seeing as she still felt up to par Tiana decided not use anything for the moment and put everything back into the bag.  Then Tiana sat for a moment contemplating what to do next.  I could sit and wait for someone to find me.  She didn't like that idea very much. It would leave me on guard just waiting for something to happen.  Then Tiana remembered something like a river to the left of the area she had fallen in.  But what if the person who landed on the otherside decides to come to the same river?  The thought scared her, she had chosen SOMETHING as one of her skills but that didn't mean she wanted to use it.  Maybe they won’t want to fight either.  The idea gave her some hope but then she remembered, she was the only one reaped, everyone else had volunteered for this challenge.  Her heart sank at the realization.  Standing up Tiana made a decision.  She should search this area before moving to the next zone.

Tiana looked around hoping to find out more about her whereabouts.  As she walked around she found berry bushes.  “Well the day just got a little bit better,” she said to herself.  Picking one up, she examined it, “maybe they’re raspberries?”  Tiana picked a few handfuls and put them in her duffel bag with her other food.  Tiana contemplated staying in the area; it looked good enough to catch some wild game in.  Before she could make a decision something shiny to her right caught her eye.  Ever the curious one Tiana approached the area where she had seen the shine.  Hoping for a better look Tiana searched for the shiny object.

  And it looks like they're off, ladies and gentlemen! I'm Fiori, and I'll be your host in this lovely and exciting event --

  Yes, well, in any case, the teams look like they're starting off strong. Not exactly in tip top shape --

  AHEM, If I were a betting woman, I might be inclined to put my money on that SenshiRei - she seems to be on the case here! Already off, thirsting for blood; Girl's got my vote! For now, anyway.
  I wouldn't discount the others just yet - they've got some strategy involved. And look at Blake - he moved off just fine.

It was difficult to see far here; she would have to rely on her hearing and her intuition. Rei rolled her eyes and gritted her teeth. No wonder the backpack felt so light. She contemplated drinking the water just now as there was clearly a water source nearby, but that would be a foolish move. The food wasn't going to last long. She'd need to forage. She put the items back in the backpack, and opened her duffel. Hopefully she'd find some useful items in there.

Rei raised her eyes to the heavens and let out a deep breath she didn't realise she'd been holding. Something for shelter and a 'kind of' weapon. She immediately decided she wanted to do two things before sundown - and for that, she needed two strong, straight sticks. She put the majority of items back in the bag, keeping out the arrowhead. Was it sharp enough to cause damage..? She turned it over and over in her hands whilst looking around for a rock to sharpen it on. There were plenty of trees around, she should be able to locate the other resources she needed.

Flipping the arrowhead between her hands one more time, she figured it would do. No point wasting time to sharpen it when she had other plans. She tucked it away safely in her bag, checked around once more for unusual noises, and then crept to the nearest thick trunked tree with low branches. She needed two medium length, sturdy but light sticks. She tried several branches, shaking them to test their sturdiness and flexibility, before she found the ones she wanted. It took some time between stabbing them with the arrowhead and wiggling before she managed to release the two branches.

Having completed that, she retreated to her dense bushes and sat down, cross legged, with the two sticks. With the first, she attempted to attach the arrowhead with the string to create a spear. It wasn't as easy as she'd anticipated and she hoped it'd hold at the moment of impact. With the second, she began fashioning a fishing rod with the rope. She needed some bait to go on the end of it but she could worry about that when the time came to it.  The spear might actually be better for fishing. She guessed she'd work that out at the time. Better too prepared than not at all.

She knew it must be nearing night. She looked at the trees around her - was it wise to climb up and stay safe? Or was this the time to keep moving? She opened her communicator in an attempt to contact her team mates, but she had no idea if they'd be able to get to her in time.

Small Lady examined her goods, grateful for having some water to start off with. She'd be able to travel to try to find a good camp with a source of water and possibly food, she could stave off the hunger for now, but she would need food sooner or later.  Small Lady decided now would be a good time to track down a water source and a place for camp.

Small Lady decided to walk towards the sounds of rushing water. Being near a some what noisy water source could also give her cover while tracking down the other contestants. She knew a confrontation could be inevitable and she had to think on how she would stage an attack. She has no ranged weapons at the moment, just the arrowhead.  Thats when an idea popped in her head. Small Lady began lookinig for a good sized branch so she could make a spear.

Night had fallen and Small Lady was getting hungry and thirst.  She had the stick she found in her hands and knew it was time to make camp. She had yet to find the water source but could tell it was near by, however it would be pointless to continue in the dark and she didn't want to risk starting a fire just yet. Small lady came across a tree with branches low enough to the ground to where she could climb up a bit. Since she wasn't very good at climbing, she decided to only go up just to the first few branches and found one sturdy enough for her.  

With that, dinner was just a small portion of the little bit of food she had. 1 cracker, a half of a piece of jerky, and a couple of swigs of her water, with hopes she could find the water source and be able to purify some more tomorrow. After finishing her meal, she took out the arrow head, string, and stick.  She cleaned up the stick as best she could, tearing off all the knubs and small limbs she could. Taking the string, she began the tie the arrowhead to the stick as tightly and best as possible. It wasn't going to be the best spear made, but it will do. She also hoped maybe she'd be able to catch a meal tomorrow.

Satisfied with her work, Small Lady settled as comfortably as you can get in a tree and dozed off.

Tiana flinched when she opened the doors expecting nothing short of a monster to come out of the hole, or worse yet, another competitor.  When she realized that there was no one there her body started to relax again.  Looking through the doors Tiana saw a dark staircase leading down into a hallway with a faint light at the end.  “Maybe it leads to another zone,” she thought aloud.  But if there’s a light…has somebody found the other side to this hallway?  Tiana looked at her options, I could stay here, I could go to another zone, or I could follow this hallway.  “It’s possible that they expect me to move in the areas around where I landed or even to stay here,” she continued her train of thought, “but no one would expect me to find whatever this is.”  She decided that the choice that the other competitors couldn’t predict would be her best bet at survival.  Before descending down the stairwell Tiana knelt to the ground and pulled the pliers out of her bag along with the string and the arrowhead.  Tiana cut off 1/2 meter of the string and used it tie the arrowhead to the inside of her wrist.  Tiana tied the rest of the string to the pliers to use as a long range weapon.  Gathering everything up Tiana stepped onto the first dark platform.  Taking only a moment to steel herself Tiana journeyed down the stairs.  After a few moments that seemed to drag on for hours Tiana found herself at the bottom of the stairs in the hallway.  She could still see the light far off at the end of the hallway.  Before continuing on Tiana took a moment to search the area.    

Here we lose Tiana for a bit, images of her whearabouts dark and quite useless. Towards the end we pick up a radio transmission between the tribute and her companions back at the locker rooms, but she received no answer. We find her again in another area.

After emerging Tiana took stock of what she had collected along the way.  She had a sword, three rations, a water bottle, and a healing potion.  Tiana was very thankful for the sword.  Even so she was wary to face somebody head on. 

Not hearing a response Tiana feared that the communication device was damaged.  Tiana put the pliers and string back in to her sack instead holding on tightly to her newly found sword.  The arrowhead was still tied to her wrist.  Can’t be too prepared for this, she thought.  After a moment’s pause a look of determination took over her face.  “Better to get this thing going” she said to no one. After emerging from the tunnel Tiana found herself in an above ground area.  She looked around but there was no one around.   She breathed a huge sigh of relief.  The rays of the setting sun began to poke through the trees landing on her face.  I better make camp for the night. Tiana looked around for a tree that would hide her from view.  After a few minutes of looking she decided on one tree that had a lot of foliage underneath and up around a rather sturdy looking limb.  Tiana took out the rope and made a hammock.  She then climbed the tree and secured it to the limb she had chosen.  Not being a super human she then climbed back down the tree and gathered up the rest of her stuff and somehow climbed back up to her perch.  She situated herself as best she could and began the wait for the night to fall on the first day.

  Well, night set on the arena...
  With no bloodshed on the first day. That's bad luck...
   For the tributes!
  I wonder what fun things the Gamemakers have in store for those "lucky" competitors of ours?

  And good morning, everyone! It's a fine day in the capitol, and an even finer day in the arena! The sun is shining, the temperature has just a hint of chill in the air, and our tributes are just beginning to stir.
  It's a great day for killing, everyone!
  Ah, Esmeraude, remember, we're not killing at the G.C. Winter Olympics Hunger Games. Just mortally wounding.
  How frustrating! Well then, it's a great day to nearly kill someone then. ON WITH THE BLOODSHED!

Oh, finally! some excitement! I thought I'd die if I had to face much more of this blood-free boredom!

  There was a quick Earthquake this morning, ladies and gentlemen, as you might have seen from your competitors --

She had to keep moving. She went into her duffelbag and pulled out her spear. She really wanted something poisonous for the tip of it, but she didn't have much knowledge of plants. And, if she put poison on, she wouldn't be able to use it to fish. Well, there was no point in standing about thinking about things. Time to take action! Rei took a few shaky steps, trying to gauge if the ground really had stopped shaking, and headed toward the river.

The ground had started shaking violently, knocking Small Lady off her feet.  "What the hell is this!?" she screeched a bit trying to get up and balance herself.  Branches were falling all around her and it felt like the earth beneath her was moving around. It was the strangest sensation she had ever felt.  Yeah, there had been Earthquakes in Tokyo but nothing like this. 

Once the shaking had stopped, Small Lady looked around. Somehow the area she was in had felt like she changed, like the earth had moved around.  It must have been something caused by the game makers. Now that the world had quieted, Small Lady decided to continue her trek east.

   and now it seems Mars's team competitor from the Red Hot chibi Kickers has stumbled onto something...

"I think there's something here," my thoughts tell me, "... or someone."

The next few minutes would change everything - only one of them would be walking away from this and she had to make sure it was her. Was he holding a stick? She wasn't sure, but she'd need to watch out for that. 

As silently as she could, she reached into her bags and pulled out the pliers and the jerky. She stuffed the jerky in her mouth; she needed to quell any hunger pangs. It was time to try the oldest trick in the book. She shuffled around the tree trunk so she was out of his possible line of vision, and threw the pliers as hard as she could at a tree trunk the opposite direction from her. With any luck, he would either head toward the sound and she could attack him from behind, or he'd run away from the sound and right toward her where she could jump out at him.

She just had to hope he hadn't already spotted her.

Rei took advantage of the Tribute's distraction and traveled as quickly and quietly as possible toward him, sneaking up behind him whilst he had turned to follow the sound.  She stayed in a low position; if he spun round wildly he'd be more likely to miss her. She was so close..! She had one shot at this, she couldn't fail now. She aimed her spear at an upward angle and thrust with all her might toward the base of his skull. 

  Looks like chance gets to have its way now! Did Blake sense the blow?

I feel something hit me in the back of my head. I unintentionally let out a scream of pain and immediately turn around to where I received the hit. I decide to attack.

I try really hard to focus this time. I attack once again.

It connects!

I see that I've finally hit my opponent. I'm about to make another move.

"Am I turning into a monster?" I ask myself in my mind. "It's just a game, I'm not actually going to kill anybody."

I put my focus on winning for my team and try to shut down my thoughts as I attack once again.

  Ooh! A hit on the backswing!! Rei dodged the first but was hit with the return?! How deliciously marvelous!

  The score is tied, 1 to 1! The next hit takes the win!

As Blake makes his next attack...

SenshiRei was easily able to dodge Blake's next attack, his initial injury easily overcoming his level of concentration. With his head spinning, he could not keep his balance enough to turn and defend himself against his opponent, and she and solidly delivered a blow to his body, knocking him to the ground!


At that moment a helicopter appeared overhead, suddenly and without warning, and a giant claw emerged, shot down, and UFO-dolled Blake out of the Arena. As it turned to leave, a small parachute dropped down, a gift from a sponsor, and landed in front of SenshiRei.


   Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! Woooo violence!
  Well, Hunger Games fans, that's that! Danger, agility, sneak-attacks - it's all that we could ever ask for in the Hunger Games! We'll make sure to bring Blake out during the Awards Ceremony and applaud him for his participation in the games --
  But now it's time to see what our other tributes have been up to!

Small Lady blew into the small fire hoping it would get a little bigger. She just needed to get it hot enough to cook her rabbit and then she could put it out. However with all this smoke, she knew she'd have to head CLASSIFIED and try to cross the ALSO CLASSIFIED at another point or hopefully find the end of it.

Satisfied with her little fire, she began skinning the rabbit with her newfound dagger.  she didn't really know much of what she was doing but she managed to get the fur off.  She tried hard not to throw up as she cleaned it out and having to touch its blood and guts. the dagger seemed to be doing its job well. She found a small stick and began roasting the rabbit.

While waiting for it to cook, she kept scanning the area for any signs of the other contestants. If they were near, they knew her location. She would have to move soon.

  Looks like someone's getting a proper dinner.
  But will she get to enjoy it?!
  I think you're a little too hopeful in your bloodlust. And where is our Venus tribute?

Tiana is standing, shell shocked, before a giant checker chess board, her eyes doubled wide with fear as she suddenly realizes that the entire area is suddenly infested with snakes!

  Oooh! Environment enemies!! I hope they're poisonous!
  Hmm.... if I'm not mistaken, most of those are....
  How unfortunate for her!

 Well she might have been mia for a while, but it seems our Venus tribute is back in full force!

Tiana somehow managed to escape the snakes and upon further inspection without injury.  Heading in to this next area Tiana was on high alert.  She could hear the river to the east but was hesitant to head there.  I bet there’s at least one person there.  Before any decisions could be made her stomach growled.  Keeping her sword in one hand Tiana dug around in her bag for the jerky she had and ate two pieces.  Feeling her energy return to her Tiana tightens her grip on the sword.  It’ll hurt but I won’t die at least, I should get this over with.  Tiana tightens her resolve and takes a deep breath.  Then in a moment she is racing off in the direction towards the river her sword ready to strike.

  OH THIS IS GOOOOOD! Watch out SenshiRei~!

She'd just came out a fight, she only had a spear, she knew the other Tributes would have been spending time getting supplies whilst she was fighting. She wasn't sure if it was wise to engage in combat just now. It made her mad though, she hated to run. She flipped open her communicator to see if her team had anything to say, but otherwise she was going to have to try and find a weapon. She was now at a disadvantage, although she had the combat experience and the adrenaline buzz of a win.

Rei heard the approaching Tribute and ran through the clearing to the trees. She grabbed three heavy rocks and stuffed them in her bag before quickly climbing up the nearest tree. She made it to a low branch and stayed as still as she could. Hopefully the Tribute hadn't spotted her climbing, she should be fairly camouflaged in the leaves if the Tribute hadn't seen her climb. Rei tried hard to control her panicked breathing and waited to see what would happen.

  They're both looking extremely tired... they might both drop down at the same moment if things keep going the way they're going.
  Let's hope not! Small Lady can't be the champion without getting her hands a little dirty!

  With two competitors left, it seems like the Hunger Games will be over shortly! Let's see what Small Lady has been up to.

Tiana's heart jumped into her throat when a sickening thud pierced the air.  The spear had found its target.  All of the possibilities of what to do next whirled around in Tiana's head strengthening the dizziness she felt from her lack of energy.  She had to get away, had to leave the area.  Tiana grabbed the bag that the tribute had thrown at her not caring to look inside and moved as far east from the tree as she could before collapsing at the base of a massive tree trunk.  She then fell into an uneasy sleep.

  Looks like it's naptime for Tiana. And with only a few hours left until dusk, we can only hope she stays safe while she rests.
  Well she couldn't do much else after that major battle. If SenshiRei hadn't spent the morning defeating Blake, it could've been Tiana who fainted first, after that delicious snake escapade!
