Okay, so today in my physics class we watching a video off of youtube. When my teacher got onto youtube, on the recommendation list I saw a PMV (Pony Music Video). So ethier my teacher lets his kids watch MLP on youtube or my teacher is a brony.

Haha! I got more cards today and I got apple jack this time and a pinkie pie standee.

So the wal mart by my house didn't have any cards... but I went to Target tonight and they had the box BUT IT WAS EMPTY!!!!! T____________________T

You ladies make it hard for a guy to save up his money, you do realize this right? I am going to end up buying packs eventually xD.

Lol just do what i do...I buy a couple $2 things here and there so i don't feel like i'm spending too much money. I honestly can justify spending $2 on a little collectible item and $5 here nad there, just not all the time.

Its so hard when you are in the toy section and they have the castle and it comes with a little wedding Shining Armor and Princess Cadence and its like almost $40. T_T

Also, this is especially good at target, keep an eye out on their clearances. When it comes time to release a new set of toys or after the holidays, any older toys start going on clearance. :3

I wish they would just release them both separately lol

Question: would you all consider MLP magical girl (er pony)? Even if borderline? I know some people consider shows like Magic Knight Rayearth, Utena and Princess Tutu to be borderline.

I ask because I'm starting a magical girl forum and have decided to expand beyond into the general japanese media and include western media. I'm including Winx Club. I watched the first two episodes of MLP today and.. hesitatingly admit that I liked it. But the elements of harmony? Very very 'Rainbow Crystal'-esque, yeah?

Without spoilers, maybe help me decide?

I would say, in some episodes, yes, it has a very "magical girl" feel to the show, but many of the episodes are also about life lessons and friendship as well. There are actually less "action" episodes like the first two in the entire two seasons and I find it focuses more on the life lessons, etc. But, I think it would be a good one to include.

(Also if you are including Winx Club, I remember there was this one called W.I.T.C.H. It's an Italian show and was magical girlish, but i don't think i watched it...just saw previews of it.)

I got a rare gold edition princess luna card today and it goes for $30 on eBay!

I really wouldnt call MLP a magical girl show then again there are magical girls shows that have life lessons like Ojamajo Doremi. It's about a group of girls who want to be witches and they use their magic to help their love ones.

Random question why do people draw Derpy like muffins? I have never seen her eat muffins in the show.

I think it's just a fan made thing because I haven't either!

Well i just did a quick wiki search whe ni was looking up WITCH and it was originally from Italy. You can go research it your self.

Also as far as Derpy goes, I'm pretty sure there was a background scene of her with muffins, but i have no idea the episode. Like i was saying, I'd classify MLP as borderline Magical girl. Because not all the ponies use magic, just the unicorns and alicorns (alicorns being ponies like Princess Celestia, Luna, and Cadence). Also its not like in magical girl series where "you get these powers to transform and now you can use magic!" The unicorn and alicorn ponies are born being able to use magic

I never watched it either. I just remember seeing a preview for it and rthat was about it. It looked like a decent show. xD

and so i went to toys r us tonight to check out their MLP selection and omg ALL THE THINGS I WANT.

no! They didn't have them at toys r us. Gunna have to try target i guess. The targets here are pretty reliable for stuff like that. xD But i did buy 2 blind bags...which damnit I hate toys r us cause toys are more expensive there. :/ The blind bags were like $3.50 while at target or walmar they are like 2 bucks. THE HECK. >(

Just wanted to say I saw at Hot Topic (for those who are MLP & Doctor Who fans) they have a MLP shirt that says "Doctor Whooves" on it xD Thought it was pretty cute haha
