So today I wanted to see what was the big deal about this show. I found it on youtube and I gotta to say I'm in love with it! It's so cute!!!! I think what makes me really love it is that I used to play with my little ponies with I was a little. I wish this show was on when I was kid which is rare for me to say about todays cartoons seeing how most of them are crap...(90s cartoons rule!) So does anyone else like it?

I love them all! But I really love Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy just because I have both of the their personailits. At times I can very shy while other times I can very giggly and hyper.

I love My Little Pony. I now feel the need to re-watch it. Especially with word that a new season is coming out soon. I don't really have a favorite character, and I certainly have found parts that I agree with all of the characters being part of my personality.

Oh man someone started a thread before I could! XD I JUST got into this show. I finished watching it a few days and I've got to say I'm mildly obsessed now. its just adorable and fun. Plus the animation is really awesome too. Lauren Faust is pretty damn awesome.

Its funny because I was never into My Little Pony as a kid so its weird to like it now. XD But I've always thought the ponyville toys were cute before they came out with MLP:FIM. Anyway...yeah. YAY MLP!! XD

Its cute, but I can't get into it heh. I just prefer my old school my little ponies, it might be because that is what I grew up on really hard core when I was younger or for the fact I don't like the Power Puff Girls either so I am sure that doesn't help.

But it is cute, something different for this generation.

I still have all of my little ponies XD and last night I went on ebay to see if anyone were selling any of mine. I found two! I can't remember their names. One had accessories to harvest grapes and the other a chest/jewelry holder and fence where you could attach a rainbow thing to it.

The nice thing about this show is its not mindless stupid humor like Spongebob and it can appeal to a wide range of ages probably easily as low as a 3yrs-10yrs. Each of the main characters has their own personality and is unique in their own way. They learn about their strengths and how to deal with their weaknesses in varying episodes. Each episode has a good lesson or moral to be learned. It has humor kids and their parents can appreciate. I think even if it didn't have My Little Ponies attached to it, the show would have been good regardless just due to the writing and good morals being taught. Also, all the main characters are girls and they are all awesome and kick butt in some way!

Also to top it all off, the animation is solid and well done. And its all done in Flash, which is even better.

I just find it odd that if you look on the demographic stats on youtube that its largest stat is like age 18-35 yr old males. I've been told to watch it by several guys so far. It made sense when it was one of my gay friends or more anime oriented types, but from other guys that you wouldn't expect, I can't get an answer of why they like it. I don't think its a bad thing, its just kinda odd. XD Cause for me, it makes sense why I like it because A. I have a tendency to like anything cute like this B. I still like to watch little kids' shows C. I've bought MLP toys in the past as a adult even before this show came out. >.>...

I'm the same way too!! I love watching cartoons even though I'm 21. I love cute things which probably why I like cartoon's network's show the the amazing world of gumball.

I watched this show with the open mind and I amazed about how good the story telling is. Yeah there are times were you can easily figure out how the episode is going to end, but it's so much fun to watch!

I love the humor, and the random spazzing out and just the sheer fun of the show.

As far as the demographics go, it was huge on 4-chan last year and that site is filled to the brim with 18-35 year old males, so that's probably what drove that up. Google search 'my little pony meme' and see if you can find the link to the cheezburger article about how it all started - it's pretty neat. There was even a war on that website between the normal users and the uprising of Bronies (bro-ponies) who posted so many images from the show that the regular 4-chan people tried to kick them off the site. There's a famous pic from that era, posted to show how the Bronies handled the heat of the war. I'll post it here:

And that totally reminded of 4chan! I forgot that was one of the reasons it got so popular. But it still doesn't explain WHY. Why do they like it so much? My bf thinks its because they are perverted and want the little ponies. o_o;;

I watched all the episodes on YouTube fairly recently, and fell in love. Hilarious show, though I have to admit that my favorite part of it is all the parodies that have come from it.
