Oh yes Pinkie always seems to be in the advertising campaigns... But I dunno I kind of like that about her, she's the fourth-wall breaker so I like to see her as the connection between our world and pony-world. Rarity/Applejack/Fluttershy =/= not very goodspokesponies business-wise I guess... at least from Hasbro's perspective. I can kind of see why... sorta...

There's been a lot of RD in season 3 too... but I'm glad she was developed because she started as a bit of a stereotype... poor Fluttershy is getting the raw deal at the moment I think, even if Rarity got no episodes, her presence and character was still there... For Applejack I would guess in the show, it is probably because she must be hard to write for. She doesn't have as many flaws as the others...

Off Topic Question: I've seen it Cadance and Cadence both in many officialplaces but do you know which the true-blue official name is by any chance? *curious*

In the earliest episodes she was in, the credits had her as 'Cadence.' This appears to have been changed in all of the merchandise and later episodes (earlier merchandise seemed to be split fifty/fifty) to 'Cadance.' Cadance is the current official spelling.

Which makes me a sad panda, because 'Cadance' just throws me off when I'm reading.

I watched these two bronys on youtube analyze the episodes and they both brought about AJ's character. It pretty much Applebuck Season sum up AJ's character. They only way we can get more AJ episodes if they give AJ another goal besides making her farm successful or an ordeal she has to go through.

Yeah I think so too Yami, Applejack's been typecast sadly into Apples-Family-Farm, but it isn't the end for her I think, Rainbow Dash was typecast into Wonderbolts-Speed-Overconfident-Cool but they broke it with "May The Best Pet Win" they managed to evolve her character and we see this in pretty much every episode about her sense, "Read it and Weep" "The Mysterious Mare Do-Well" "Wonderbolt Academy" and so on... I think the probably with Applejack is she's a bit too perfect a character, we've seen her be stubborn but beyond that she hasn't got many faults to work on.

What I would want for Applejack is for her to realise as a character that, though there is nothing wrong with loving your family, one must expand as an individual too. Then from there she could be developed trying new things and seeing more sides of her personality.

Right now in terms of character depth I think it goes

Twilight Sparkle > Rarity > Rainbow Dash > Pinkie Pie > Fluttershy > Applejack

but there is a MASSIVE amount of difference between Fluttershy's characterisation and poor humble Applejack.

Yeah, also the bronys bring up that AJ is the voice of reason of the group and I agree with them. In most episodes AJ is seen as the voice reason (besides Twilight). She appears more mature which probably comes from her family life. Her parents are most likely dead so her and Big Mac have to take care of the farm since their grandma is too old and Apple Bloom is too young. So basically AJ went through a lot character development off screen. But I do think the writers can still do something like add to her character. Like make her want to be the best Rodeo Pony in Equestria. We almost had that in the episode where she goes to compete in in a rodeo, but that episode was really about the other mane 6 ponies trying to figure out why AJ didn't come home.

Oh, and poor Flutteshy. She may never over come here shyness due to fact that the word shy is in her name. XD

Poor Fluttershy is a very inconsistent character, because of the different writers, sadly she's fallen into the contradicting character and her personality varies alot between episodes, I don't mind so much because of the nature of the show but it makes it harder to pin down Fluttershy's character because her shyness levels vary enormously between episodes. Twilight, Rainbow and Pinkie have bypassed this problem completely and continue to build on character from episode to episode. For Rarity it doesn't matter because her personality is naturally full of contradictions (think Scarlett O'Hara). Poor Applejack doesn't really have enough episodes solely on her (without the spotlight being stolen by the likes of Applebloom or Pinkie Pie) to say anything for certain.

But there's a new season coming! So maybe we'll see some strong expansion for Applejack and some and some clarity for Fluttershy!

I voted Other, because I just absolutely love Celestia! She be very serious and graceful, yet she also had her moments in which she messes up and also makes jokes~ If not Other, then I would have voted either for Spike (bronys don't give him enough love, unless he's being shipped with like Rarity or Applebloom >.>) or Rarity, those two are really great. ^_^

More Rarity and AJ episodes!

Spike got some episodes. In season 2 he had two and in season 3 he had two. So he has a total of 4 episodes. That's quite a lot for a side character.

Both Twilight and Fluttershy, I just love them both too much, I CAN"T DECIDE!!!! D8 I like them both so much as they both remind me of a bit of myself. Twilight's dorky social akwardness, and Fluttershy's shyness and her love of animals.

I also have a soft spot for Celestia, she is my favorite of the royal sisters, and I can't help but take pity on her. Shes always overshadowed my Luna in popularity, and in most fanworks shes always some kind of troll or tyrant. Thats fun and all, but I've always seen her more like the Dumbledore of the MLP-verse: wise, all-knowing, guides the lead character, yet keeping secrets from them. Instead shes almost always the butt of everyone's jokes, its kinda sad really.
