The major issues that come up is just writers having trouble with certain characters because they've been written into a corner, but there have been some new writers since that season (man you left off in season 3 and we're on season 8 so uh yeah xD) and have been able to make some things interesting again. Honestly each season has had its ups and downs and I had almost stopped watching during season 6 but am glad I've caught up. There's been some good eps.

yesss my favorite spin off idea everrrr. I didn't think Id like Ponys as humans spin off as much as I would but honestly it's super adorable and I don't find it as bad as some of the other pre-teen dolls with cartoon attachments (like Monster High, i attempted to watch it but couldn't get into it. xD).  

I have my minor issues with Equestria Girls buuuut overall it's been a joy to watch. And the recent shorts and specials have been awesome so far. It's just so cute. XD

I have! I binged them on Netflix a while ago. They're really good!

i like the series as well and am getting into it but my library docent have much it has more of the older mlp like stuff before Friendship is magic

Thanks for the tip, Brit; a few people have told me that it's on Netflix. (But I'm still sour that I paid for it only to have it changed.)

I didn't mind Equestria Girls, but it's not my favourite. I tend to watch the standard episodes more often. I don't think they did a bad job with Equestria Girls—all my critiques are pretty minor—I just don't find high school all that interesting. (Even fake high school with magic stuff going on.)
