First update for Act 5!

Shou’s house took forever to draw! Oh my god! *cough*

And yes, Shou and Chibi Usa shared an umbrella, but lemme tell ya, sharing an umbrella usually ends up with both people wet, especially when it’s raining hard. As someone who’s shared her umbrella a number of times with friends and family, I can attest to the fact that most umbrellas are not built to keep two people dry. =_=;;

Nice update! Chibiusa was cute while she was fixing her hair.

It's very romantic for them to share an umbrella~ Now Chibi Usa can put their initials under an umbrella in her doodles.

Just caught up and I must say this is a wonderful doujinshi! I'll be looking forward to the next update!

It took me about 8 hours spread over a week to draw Shou’s study. OTL This is why I only have two pages today because not surprisingly, the more details I include the longer it takes. ^^;;

I can't wait for the next update, please give us more of this beautiful love story!

hey...what happened? in the shower panel, Chibiusa's hair only goes to about her butt, yet when she's princess, it's waaaay longer..and it also seems like her pigtails are longer in other pages.

I call it Naoko Takeuchi magic!

Joking aside, Takeuchi does tend to show Usagi with insanely long pigtails, but when Usagi has her hair down it's usually shown to be down to her hips. I drew Chibi Usa's hair in the same manner both as an homage, but also to keep the artistic style consistent with the manga.

New update!

Sorry for the break in progress. ^^;; But I’m getting back into the swing of things again, and I have an announcements I’d like to make.

The announcement is with regards to the recent statement from Funimation about trade mark rights. You can read the article on ANN, but in essence Funimation (and presumably other anime and manga licensing companies) have released a statement saying that they cannot allow fans to use the trade marks of the shows they own. By that, it means while fans can draw fanart, they cannot use the logo i.e. trade mark of the shows they’re parodying in their work.

Since I am currently using the Kodansha Sailor Moon manga logo for Future Reunion, I’ve been debating with myself what I should do. Artistically and aesthetically, I like the look of the official logo on my fanart, but legally, that’s a no-go at this point. I can’t change the appearance of the hard copies of FR I’ve already sold, so for Act 5 and the subsequent volumes I will be changing the title font to one that looks significantly different from the official logo. My decision to do this is a precautionary one. I really enjoy making FR, and I don’t want to endanger it by indulging in one small artistic detail that is now clearly disallowed by the IP holders. I hope you guys will understand. m(_ _)m

as it's only funimation, i wouldn't worry about it unless kodansha ever follows suit? funimation is probably having problems specifically with DBZ and its many many parodies.

(besides, that's a super dumb restriction. they're just butts :T)

I think the law applies to all companies, not just Funimation. 
Dumb or not, I'd rather be safe than sorry.

I've discovered this quite literally randomly because it was updated and took a while to find finally some me time to read it. I have to say I am quite impressed by the professionalism of this piece and I do like your storytelling style. It's nice to see Helios and the quartet used more in arts and such, not only that, but they feel true to their manga counterpart. I hope you'll continue it and thank you for sharing~

Haha, I actually did not intend to leave the update on a cliff hanger. XD;; It just kinda worked out that way. ^^;

I have found the story, while I was searching the internet. I can't wait to see the next pictures. I do hope, that you are really quickly :-)

One of the best stories, I have ever seen.

My head!canon for the two not-so-nice ladies whom young!Shou is seen talking to is that they work in his parents gallery. I imagine one of them (the lady in the black dress) is an expert on Greek and Roman antiquities, and the other might be a secretarial staff of some sort who was passing by. Shou is all excited to tell the expert about the place with marble Greek columns and flying horses that he sees in his dreams, hoping she can tell him where he can find it. After the women stop laughing he is promptly told that’s such a place doesn’t exist, and that he’s “a very imaginative little boy!”

Also, this will be the first and last appearance of the Shitennou in FR. I don’t want to get people’s hopes up, but I just don’t have the room in the story to also include the Shitennou. ^^;; Maybe one day I’ll write a fanfic or short comic set during the Silver Millennium.

My goodness! I just stumbled upon this. The artwork is amazing and oh the cliffhangers and the feels. I have enjoyed this very much. Can't wait for the next! ^^

This is beautiful and flawless and I can't wait to see more of your work!!! I'm hooked to this story. I gotta know what happens next! Your style of drawing is wonderful. It is similar enough to Naoko Takeuchi's style of drawing to feel like I am reading an official Sailor Moon manga, but also is original enough to show your unique skill as well. Chibiusa and Helios are adorable

So, remember how I said I was going to change the logo for Future Reunion after Funimation announced that they (and presumably other companies) would have to enforce their protection of trade marks that they own?

Well, I’ve decided to stop using the official Kodansha Sailor Moon logo for my doujinshi, and will from now on use the logo you see above. It’s not as spiffy as the official logo, but I really like it. ^^ While the fonts are similar, the words “Sailor Moon” are no longer a part of the title, and this will help to make it clearer to readers that this is a fan work, and not an official spin-off of the original manga.

I understand that some of you believe I should be able to use the Kodansha logo, which I really like, but I believe it’s better to tread carefully than to risk getting a cease-and-desist notice from the copy right holders and/or their lawyers. Even if the risk of legal action is small, I’d still like to minimize that risk as much as I can, because it would make me, and I think many readers as well, very sad if this comic is ever forced to be discontinued.

Thank you! I was a bit apprehensive about making my own logo, since I know it won't be as detailed and elaborate as the official logo. So it's heartening to hear that people like how it turned out. ^^

I think the new logo works and is just as lovely. It makes it more of your own and as you said, no worries about any possible cease and desist letters or anything... From what Ive been reading, even in Japan, it seems doujin may have some troubling times ahead as laws may be enforced more strictly. I had been reading somethings here and there about it this past month or so... so good call on your part, imo.
