Two colored pictures in one post! The first one is the cover for Shou’s Birthday Surprise short story. Since Chibi-Usa had a bit of an adventure and went down a proverbial rabbit hole after being turned into a literal rabbit, I went with an Alice in Wonderland theme. I also wanted to have a more whimsical image, keeping with the canon’s side stories (i.e. Exam Battles and Chibi-Usa’s Picture Diary).

And after almost exactly two years, I’m finally done with the character splash page for Future Reunion! I did have to think hard about what colors I wanted some of my original designs to have, and I can’t promise I won’t change my mind on some of these in the future, much like how Naoko Takeuchi did with her designs. Psyche’s colors are based on the color of the luna moth, so mostly light greens, yellow, and a bit of beige I also realize after-the-fact that her hair color makes she looks a lot like Enkidu from the Fate franchise. And before anyone asks, no, Miki Hara is not related to Haruna-sensei, despite them having similar hair color and names. XD;;
