Physical Description: Hotaru has a mysterious air around her, with her dark black, shoulder length hair, snow-white skin, and emotionless purple eyes- which are usually covered by her long bangs. She is an average height for her age, however extremely slender, due to her poor health and low appetite. Hotaru is soft spoken, and when she does speak, her voice is very soft and delicate.

Hotaru has a very feminine style, usually opting to wear skirts and dresses over pants or shorts. However, as she tends to to get cold easily, she usually wears jackets and leggings to help keep her warm. She generally prefers to wear darker hues, but her lack-luster taste in colors have expanded since growing up in the Outer Senshi family, as she has been seen in much brighter clothing.


Personality: Hotaru can be very shy at first, sometimes just preferring to stare and listen than participate in a conversation. However, after warming up to a person, her true personality will show itself- giving the occasional sarcastic responses along with the knowing advice she has been mysteriously gifted with. She also has a strong faith in her friends abilities, and will give anything for them- even her life. Hotaru has always excelled in school, as she enjoys reading and learning (especially history), and is considered to be very clever. Despite being generally sweet and caring, when angered, she is no one to mess with.

As quite the introverted person, Hotaru firmly believes that, as far as friends goes, quality is better than quantity- preferring the company of one or two close friends than that of a large group. She also can be very self conscious at times- which wasn’t helped when she was transformed into a host of an invading being by the hands of her father.


Any Unique Abilities/Skills: Currently Hotaru has two abilities. One being the power of accelerated healing, the other being illusion. When concentrating, she can create images that seem to tell of the possible futures. She has also been known to play a ‘solar system game’, in which she simulates the creation of our universe- however due to the complex nature, she needs extra help- as seen by Haruka helping her in her game.

History: Hotaru has had a very complicated past, to say the least. She was the only child of Dr. Tomoe and his wife Keiko. During one of their experiments, in which Dr. Tomoe’s family was present, an explosion happened, killing Keiko, and gravely hurting Hotaru. In desperation, he made a deal with the aliens of the Tau system to save his daughter. With the help of his taboo cybernetics, he transformed his daughter into a cyborg, and planted the seed of Mistress 9 into her body, who laid dormant in her for many years. While Sailor Moon was attempting to defeat the aliens of the Tau system, Hotaru awoke as Sailor Saturn. She then sacrificed herself to destroy the aliens. Sailor Moon, unable to accept the fact that a beloved friend would die, used her strength to resurrect her.

After the death of her father, Hotaru was then raised by Sailors Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. She grew quickly, in what seems to be a matter of months, to an age of about 12 or so. At which time she re-awakened as Sailor Saturn and brought the other Outer Senshi together to help Sailor Moon defeat the Dead Moon circus. She has always been closest to Chibiusa, as in her previous incarnation, Chibiusa had been her first and only true friend. Hotaru is also close with her 'Outer senshi family." She is most often seen with 'Setsuna-mama', and is even shown trying to protect her from Galaxia in the Stars arc. 'Haruka-papa' and 'Michiru-mama' seemed to be fearful of her at first, but now view her as a daughter.
In the Silver Millennium, Sailor Saturn slept deep within her home planet. Her job in the Senshi was to act as a ‘fail-switch’: If anything terrible were to take over the Solar System, she would awaken and end it all. The last time she was awakened was when the Dark Kingdom over threw the Moon Kingdom, where Queen Serenity reincarnated her to her present form.

Senshi Information

Senshi Name: Sailor Saturn/ Super Sailor Saturn/ Eternal Sailor Saturn

Senshi Fuku: Unlike the other senshi in the solar system, Sailor Saturn's original fuku is the most unique. Her skirt and sailor collar were similar to the others, with a purple color. The bows on her chest and lower back were a brown color. Her sleeves, however, fanned out almost like a white flower. Her broach and purple choker were also shaped like a radial star, mimicking the shape of the heart crystals her father was so famously trying to obtain. Saturns elbow length gloves, which are similar to the other senshi’s, has a small addition that the others do not- on the small purple trim on the top of her gloves, a part of the trim sticks out, similar to one of the ‘petals’ of her sleeves. Her earrings were shaped like the planet saturn, with a tear drop shaped crystal coming from the ends, and were the same pale-purple color as her tiara gem. Saturn wears knee-high purple boots that tie up neatly in the front. Much like Sailor Pluto, she carries around a staff, a dark, iron looking base which fans out near the bottom, topped off with an almost white-metal glaive. When Saturn later joins the solar Sailor Team as Super Sailor Saturn, her fuku begins to match the others, with her broach changing to a purple heart, and loosing her petal-shaped sleeves and glove trimming. Her lower-back bow also lengthens to her knees to match the others. Her fuku goes through another transition when she changes to Eternal Sailor Saturn, with her sleeves poofing out to the orb shape to match the rest of her team, longer gloves, thinner back bow and gaining white knee-high boots.

Henshin/Transformation: To transform into Sailor Saturn, Hotaru would raise her transformation pen into the air and cry out “Saturn planet power, Make up!”. However, as an eternal sailor senshi, she would cry out “Saturn Crystal power!”

Powers:
-Death Reborn Revolution - One of her most powerful attacks, and can take down even the most powerful of enemies. However, she can only use it once, as its use will overpower her small body- not to mention the entire planet.
-Silence Wall - Sticking her glaive up in the air, saturn creates a shield that can protect all that are in the surrounding area.
-Silence Glaive Surprise - Using her glaive, she creates a ball of light at the top, and raises it up in the air. Another very powerful attack, and can defeat some of the most powerful enemies- at the cost of her life.

Weapons or Magical Items:
-Transformation lip rod- Similar to the other outer senshis lip rods, a lilac rod with a purple ball on the top with a ring around it, similar to the planet saturn.
-The Silence Glaive- Her staff that she always carries around with her. Despite its heavy appearance, she can lift it with ease. She can use the pointed end as a weapon, much like a spear.



RP Sample: The moon shined through the beige curtains of a victorian styled home. A young girl, no more than 7 or 8, slowly opened the door to her room. Hotaru was sure the others, Haruka-Papa, Michiru-Mama, and Setsuna-Mama where asleep by now. Slowly creeping through the hallway, she reached the entrance of Setsuna-mama’s office. The door was slightly ajar, making it easier to sneak her way in. She peered inside, looking for the book of pictures that the other three seemed to stare at a lot- even more now than ever.. Ever since the eclipse… Hotaru had tried to ask what the pictures were inside, but they had always patted her on the head, and told her “Not now, but one day.”
“Today is that day.” Hotaru thought, sitting down in an office chair while looking through the books and papers on Setsuna-mama’s desk.
Ah!
Under a few letters, Hotaru picked up the heavy album, and placed it on her small lap. She inspected the leather cover, tracing her fingers on the fake-golden embroidery. Carefully, she lifted the cover to the first page. It was a group photo- of her mama’s and papa.. And two other girls.
The taller one was blonde- her face showed a big, goofy smile. The shorter one had pink hair, and was probably only a few years older than she was.
Hotaru stared at it awhile. Where… where do I know them… know them… them… Hotaru thought. Her mind began to wonder a bit. Something seemed to be wanting to come out.. something needed to be said, something to be... protected?
I… I’m ….

"Hotaru!”
Hotaru’s head shot up, in the door way to her office was Setsuna-mama, looking like she had just woken up. “What have we told you about going through our things!” she walked over to Hotaru, who looked to the floor in shame. Setsuna quickly closed and placed the picture book back on her desk. “Do you know what time it is? Come on now, back to bed! We’ll talk about this in the morning.” Hotaru mumbled a small apology with tears in her eyes, and quickly dashed off to her room. Setsuna picked up the picture album again, flipping through the different pictures- eyeing one specifically of Hotaru’s old reincarnation. “Too close.” she thought, as she jammed the book under her arm. Setsuna paused for a moment, reflecting on how Hotaru looked in the chair- Motionless, eyes glazed over... She truly was a mysterious child.
She yawned, decided to forgot about it til morning. Perhaps she should start keeping the book locked away in her room...
Setsuna-mama closed the door behind her, making her way to her bedroom to continue dreaming within her dream.
