Makoto smiled understandingly at the girl in front of her. There had been a dark time in her life when she hadn't had a single person to call a friend especially in the modeling world where she met Ami and then Michiru. Suddenly a voice came over the intercom announcing the mall would be closing in approximately five minutes.

"Well Mina-chan it looks like our meeting is going to be cut short...." Makoto sighed noting the sadness in the girls eyes.

"Oh but wait!" Makoto replied promptly taking out her phone and causing the touch screen to light up.

" Whats your number so I can call you and we can reschedule this little date?" she laughed.

A portal in the sky opened up somewhere in Tokyo city, clouding swirling gently from the pressure of it. It gave a soft glow before a shadow fell out of it, gravity pulling it quickly toward the pavement.

The figure landed feet first, crouched slightly before they straightened up. A young girl of only 14 or so stood there, strangely with pink hair done in cone odango with fluffy pigtails. She had red eyes that glanced around quickly, confirming that no one was around. Satisfied, she allowed herself to relax her guard a little. She was wearing a slightly large leather jacket with sleeves. Underneath, a pink shirt with a glittery skull and crossbones showed, baring her mid drift. Her dark blue jeans were torn here and there, and she wore black army boots. A single chain hung in a loop from one hip and a strange kind of glass bead hung from a smaller chain around her neck. She pushed on hand into her jacket, the other holding onto the strap of a backpack hung haphazardly on her shoulder.

“So this is the 21st century?....how boring.” The girl spoke to herself, really uncaring if anyone might hear her. She looked at the wad of cash that caused an unnoticeable bump on the front of her jacket, safely stashed in an inside pocket. First she would get a nice hotel for the night. Then an apartment. Pluto had given her plenty of money to do that. With that decided, the girl walked off calmly down the street.

Hotaru woke up for school the next day relaxed and well rested. She woke up Luna and they went to go eat breakfast. Luna got her cat food in a bowl. Hotaru made herself eggs and had a glass of orange juice. She was going to have a long school day ahead of her. Today was when she had the most classes. "Come on Luna. We are going to head to campus." Hotaru said. Luna followed and they headed over to the school campus. She hoped to run into Michiru on the way there so they could talk.

Rei woke up to buzzing noise the next morning. She sat up in a daze and realized it was her alarm clock was going off. She stumbled out bed and ran over to her dresser. She turned it off and went to panic mode when she saw it was 8:30. She somehow didn't hear her alarm go off at 7:00! Now she was late for her 8 o' clock class!

It was days like these Rei was thankful for not having a roommate. She opened up her closet and grabbed some clothes. She then got dressed quickly and grabbed her bookbag. Luckily last night before she went to bed she put her notebooks in her bag. Rei then bolted out the door and headed off to class.

As she running to class Rei's shoe got caught in a hole in the sidewalk. She heard a crunched and so she stopped running. She looked down and noticed the heel on her left shoe broke off. Rei hit her head angrily. Today wasn't going to be good day at all. Now she would have to go to a shoe store to get new shoes. Her other shoes were gymshoes and she couldn't wear those to class. Gymshoes aren't professional. She bend down and grabbed her heel.

Rei then glanced at her watch and noticed it was 8:40. There was really no use to going to class now. She never missed a class before so maybe the professor wouldn't get mad at her for skipping. Rei just turned around and headed to the bus stop. Might as well go to the mall now and get a new pair of shoes. She didn't have a class until 11:30 so she had some time.

Chibiusa wandered around the city, gaining the lay of the land. She wore her leather jacket again, but now wore a deep red tank top and black jeans with her army boots. She still had the chain hanging from her hip, swaying a little with each step she took. She felt glad to be alone, having always had Diana or one of her caretakers trailing her, always making subtle comments about how she should be more lady like.

And she could finally wear the outfits she felt most comfortable in. Especially with her chain close at hand. She brushed her fingers briefly against the cool metal and smiled some. She didn't know much aside from her history lessons, so she wasn't sure how dangerous this place was. Though she was confident she could handle any punk who thought he could beat her up. She had been fighting for so many centuries, her skills would far surpass anyone in this century.

After a while, she saw an incredibly tall building and lowered her eye glasses a little. She scanned for a sign before she saw a large “Tokyo Central Mall” sign. Intrigued, she walked through the glass doors, feeling the rush of cold air that greeted her. She blinked and began to stroll the mall, very curious about this very new situation.

The sun was shining from Minako’s window when she got up and opened the curtains. It was as if the day itself was part of her mind. She felt happy and energetic and the weather pictured her mood perfectly.

Memorizing yesterday’s occurrences she sat down and stared eating her breakfast. She thought that Makoto was one of the friendliest people she had ever met and remembered how strangely they really met, bumping into each other at the restaurant.

Suddenly Minako winced when she remembered the power she had felt from Makoto and her coffee cup fell from her grip straight to the floor. “Thunder…It was thunder…” she whispered her eyes widened up. Now she knew what she felt from her new friend the other day but she had no idea how and why any kind of thunder would actually relate to Makoto in any way. “What on earth is going on…?” she asked herself.

Then her phone beeped and Minako had to return from her mind to the real world. She walked to pick her cellphone and opened her inbox. “Mako-chan”, she said when she read the sender’s name. Her friend was suggesting a new date time.

Ami awoke the next morning. She rolled over to look for the cat, but it was no where to be found. Instinctively, Ami then reached over to her phone located on her night stand and checked it. There were multiple missed calls from Rei.

Ami felt better than she did yesterday. Although the strange talking cat had explained everything to her the night before, she was still convinced she had gotten a high fever and imagined everything. She felt bad for ditching her best friend, and wanted to make it up to her. She called Rei and told her that she would pick her up in an hour, since Rei had skipped class due to being late. Ami planned on taking Rei on a shopping spree, and refused to take no as an answer.

After showering and dressing for the day, Ami had some waffles then went out to her Limo to pick up Rei.

Rei received Ami's call while waiting for the bus. She was relieved to know that her friend was okay. Also Ami wanting to take her for a shopping spree actually put her in a better mood. By the looked of it today was going to get better. Rei left the bus stop and went back to her dorm to changed shoes.

After changing her shoes, Rei went outside of her dorm and waited for Ami to pick her up. She didn't have to wait long and saw the limo entering the parking lot. The limo stopped in front of her and she opened the door. Rei then slid into the seat and closed the door. After buckling up her seat belt, the limo pulled out of the parking lot and headed off to mall.

Rei just smiled at her friend and said, "Let's go to the shoe store first."

Iida returned to the mall early in the morning, appearing in a track suit of different color. He made his way into the main lobby, scanning through the various kiosks until his target came into sight. Once the mall had opened he kept his distance, watching as she presented the sports bracelets to the random civialians through out the mall. She demonstrated them as they put them around their wrist, testing their balance and flexibility to see if the items were as good as they were hyped up to be.


Those who wore the bracelets seemed to fall in a trance, their energy slowly being sucked away from them. Based on their gestures they were pleased with the results from the bracelets, which drew the attention of others. One by one they began to stop by, until a line began to form.

So far his plan had been a success, the crowded line seeming to stretch through the length of the mall now. The inventory of sports bracelets were beginning to run low, and some of the shoppers began to push themselves forefully to the front of the line, trying to buy the remaining stock.

Makoto had another photo shoot today at the mall and thought she would invite Minako alOng and then take her shopping. Makoto quickly text her asking if she would like to meet at the mall in half an hour to hang out. She waited for her reply as she made herself a fresh cup of coffee. She got another text expecting it to be Minako but found it was from her boyfriend Shinji whom she was on break with. He wanted to know of they could meet up later that night, and Makoto sighed assuming what he meant by spend time together. He expected things like this from her. He would fly in for the weekend on break from filming and take advantage of her "kind" heart. She really had enough of him and his antics but knew she was only putty in his hands.

"When can you meet?" she text back feeling the bile swell up in her throat when he actually said tomorrow. She had just put herself on another emotional roller coaster ride.

Michiru poked the fully clothed girl beside her. She and Haruka had spent a night on the town drinking, dancing, and talking. She had no idea Haruka was so outgoing or that she could sing either! Michiru had quickly found that out after visiting a karaoke bar. Haruka sure did have some pipes! The girl was going to go home, but Michiru knew she was too drunk to go anywhere, so they had sloppily collApsed on Michirus bed and had fell asleep hard from their hangovers. It was almost ten o'clock. The girl muttered something and turned over to see Michirus beautiful face and gasped upon doing so especially when she noticed they were in the same bed together with Michiru so deadly close, but Michiru just laughed.

"Nothing happened or anything I can seem to remember." She shrugged like it was no big deal.

Chibiusa could feel her intrigue growing by the minute. She had been in malls in the 30th century, but they seemed to lack something in comparison to this 21st century mall. Maybe part of the thing that made it so different was not a single part of the building was made of shimmering crystal. That stuff had always blinded her a little at sunset. She wouldn't have to deal with that here. The thought made her smile some. She paused a bit in front of a store where she could hear some sort of screaming on top of music. She looked into the dim store and saw all sorts of belt chains, baggy or torn pants, shirts with dark sayings on them. Accessories like wrist bands with spikes, chokers, necklaces with upside down crosses and the like hung on the walls. And she could see in the back, a corner devoted to corsets of many designs. This looked like a store she could get into.

Chibiusa took a step forward then paused, a motion catching the corner of her eye. She turned her head swiftly, pigtails whipping to hit her face lightly. She could see the top of a kiosk and part of a sign, and a crowd of people pushing each other to get at it. She shook her head, ruefully thinking the word idiots towards them before stepping into the dark store.

A small, white cat occupied a vantage point above the mall and was hidden from the view of the general public. Although he was a cat, he was experiencing a quandary. Well, Artemis was not an ordinary cat, so maybe that would excuse the unusual. Currently, he was debating going into the mall as a cat or a human. His human form lacked the appropriate, up-to-date clothes that the humans now wore. He would draw too much unwanted attention Not to mention he had no money. He sighed. At first it made sense that a cat would not need to bother with a job, especially when he had more important things to do. Now, however...

A loud rumble interrupted his thoughts. He was hungry. At least as a cat he might get offered some free hand-outs if he looked cute enough. Besides, he could do double-duty and search for more possible candidates. He was lucky enough to have found Sailor Mercury the other day. Too bad he hadn't been given the opportunity to hand around and chat.

Artemis leapt from his perch and walked toward the restaurant located near the mall. The outdoor seating area would be perfect for a quick snack. He just had to find someone that looked friendly and gullible. Then, he could sneak inside and maybe scrounge for enough change to begin purchasing a human outfit that didn't make him stick out.

As it turns out Hotaru didn't run into Michiru on the way there. Luna and Hotaru walked to school in silence. It was a nice day and Hotaru was enjoying it. When they got close to the school buildings Hotaru stopped and leaned towards Luna. "You can't come with me into class, but you can wander around the outside of the buildings if you want." Hotaru told Luna.

"I don't think I need to follow you everywhere." Luna said, "I'll meet you during your break for lunch."

"Okay Luna." Hotaru said, "I'll meet you and then we can eat." After she finished talking to Luna, Hotaru went to her first class of the day and hoped that today would be as good as it had started out.

Minako sat at her favorite restaurant’s outdoor seat area, writing back to Makoto. She had invited her to a photo shoot and planned to go shopping after it. Minako stared at her coffee cup, when her gaze met a pair of blue eyes. Minako raised her head to see who she was looking at. “A cat?” Minako thought. She would’ve sworn that it was a human who was watching her. The cat walked towards to her meowing.


“Hi there cutie!” Minako smiled lifting the cat onto her lap. “Do you want to have some food?” she asked and gave a piece of her tuna sandwich to the cat who started eating the little tuna meal which Minako gave to him.

Spoiler:

Makoto got out of her car and slammed the door and proceeded towards the mall. Minako was already supposed to be waiting on her and it would get her mind off Shinji if she could see her. She put on her shades to keep away from prying eyes and walked into the mall towards the food court. She then seen Minako petting a strange white cat.

"Hey that's the same cat from yesterday!" Makoto blinked recognizing the cat from the mall the previous day. he just gave her a knowing look. He almost seemed human and his facial features spoke volumes, but Makoto just shook her head. He was just a cat.

”Mako-chan, have you seen this cat before?” Minako asked and her friend nodded looking white, manlike cat. It looked straight into Minako’s eyes and she almost felt the cat’s feelings in her mind. Her thoughts started spinning around and she had to shake her head to get back to the reality. The cat jumped to the ground from her lap and left the girls turning back once more to look at them and then disappeared to the crowd.


For a moment, the girls just stood there, looking the strange cat disappearing from their sight. Then Minako turned back to Makoto: “Mako-chan, thanks for inviting me to come here today. I’m happy that you wanted to see me again! ”she smiled at her friend and then remembered one very important thing: “Oh no, I almost forgot this!” she pulled a paper out of her bag and gave it to Makoto. “I hope it looks alike” she added when Makoto turned the paper and saw a picture of herself, styled with some shaded lightning. “It’s my ‘thank you’ to my new friend” Minako smiled warmly and continued: “I don’t know if you like the lightning I made, but somehow it suited you so well that I couldn’t avoid containing it to the drawing”.

Makoto blinked in awe as she took the picture gent in her hands and began to trace over the picture intricately. Some how the lightning seemed all too familiar.

"Mina-chan does it some how seem like to you that we have known each other a really long time?" Makoto asked in a daze as she put the picture in her bag.

" It's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen." She said surrealy.

Suddenly she was pulled from her peaceful feeling by the sound of screaming coming from the kiosk.

" Come on Mina-chan let's see what's going on!" Makoto spoke quickly as she grabbed her hand dragging her towards the kiosk.

Minako winced. Did Makoto feel that way, as well? What was this all, those strange visions in her dreams and people who she had never seen before but felt like knew them from somewhere?

When Makoto said that her drawing was ‘the most beautiful thing she have ever seen’ Minako just wanted to hug her tightly and thank her for her kind words, but their conversation was interrupted when someone screamed near the kiosk. She held tightly on to Makoto’s hand when they ran towards the scream and then hid behind a huge bench.

What
exactly was this? Many strange occurrences had taken places all over the city;
buildings exploding and people losing their strength and power all at once
without any reason. Minako started hearing voices inside her mind and they told
her to transform and fight. “Stop it! Just stop it!” she yelled deep down in
her head. “I want to know what this all is about…!”

Chibiusa was trying on some different wrist cuffs in the Hot Topic store. She was currently enjoying the look of black cuffs with faux emerald cut diamonds sewn onto it. She turned her wrist from side to side, watching the faint light play in the fake gems. She debated on it before taking the other cuff to buy. They were nice for some reason, but she couldn't exactly place the reason why. She bought the cuffs and began drifting through the store to search for more things. The screaming heavy metal music seems to pulse through her entire little body with a pleasant intensity. She couldn't help but begin to lightly head bang along with the music when suddenly she heard a real scream that wasn't a part of the music. It was a woman’s voice, and it came from outside the store.

Curious as usual, Chibiusa decided to see what could cause a woman to let out such a full throated scream of horror. Maybe it would be something stupid and give her something to chuckle about over the day. She moved to the front of the store and stopped by the entrance pillars, poking her head out and up then down along the mall.

There! She was perfect for a chance for food. Not far away from where Artemis was standing, a pretty, young blonde woman sat at a table with a cup of coffee and a tuna sandwich. He raised his head and sniffed the air to confirm that a fish was in her sandwich. With a smile he though, 'a woman after my own heart... and stomach.' He trotted over to her when she offered him a piece of her sandwich. He sniffed the sandwich once, then dug in. Food tasted so wonderful! Especially human food.

Something felt... different. Artemis doubted that the sandwich was drugged, but he couldn't put his paw on this feeling. He looked up at the woman and studied her for a minute. No... he knew who this woman was. He could never forget her. Before he could take any action, another woman, likely a friend, approached them. The white cat recognized her, too. He had seen her the other day. Maybe she would give him more food?

Before he got a change to investigate the possibilities of the new woman holding more food, Artemis sensed something. He lifted his head up and paused for a moment. Then, snatching up the rest of the tuna sandwich in his mouth, he took off running with the sandwich. Something was happening! He need to find out what. Not too long after that, the girls heard the screams.

Artemis dove into a bush. No one would care about a cat during a catastrophe. He surveyed the situation, then did a quick, tight flip. He landed on his feet and a compact computer landed next to him. He pressed a button with his nose and then sat down to analyze the situation while eating the rest of the tuna sandwich. He couldn't let it go to waste, after all, even if there was a youma. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the two girls duck behind a bench. His heart tightened when a memory flitted through his mind. He missed her...

She began to scream, although Artemis was too far away to hear her words. Maybe, just maybe, she was ready? Pocketing the Kitty Compact Computer, he left the safety of the bush and ran toward the bench. When he was close enough, he saw a woman on the verge of discovering who she truly was and what impact that would have on the world. He knew exactly what to do, but... he couldn't let the brunette know. Artemis came from behind Minako and bit her sleeve. He tugged. He had to get her away from the brunette just long enough for him to give her the henshin wand. Then again, if the sigil appeared on her forehead... he wouldn't have too much of a choice.

If he couldn't get her away from the other woman, he might have to take more drastic measure. He let go of Minako's sleeve and began to trot toward the booth where all the evil was taking place. 'Chase me,' he thought.

Minako felt something biting her sleeve; it was the cat who she had given part her tuna sandwich to! What was he doing here? It would be dangerous for a cat to be there no matter what would happen. Minako stared at the cat, her eyes wet from hidden tears from the shock she felt when those strange voices started to fill her head. “Do you want me to follow you…?” she asked in her mind when the cat began to run towards the booth where the scream had come from “Follow me” were the words Minako thought she heard inside her mind. “Wait!” she yelled and began to run after the cat, leaving Makoto behind the bench. “It’s too dangerous there!” she tried to warn the white cat who she was chasing after, running straight toward the booth.

Makoto blinked turning around to see Minako was gone. Did she leave? She got up from behind the bench when she noted the kiosk had been turned over and hundreds of people had fainted o the ground who wore those energy bracelets. She noted their faces all had a greyish tint to it as if they were corpses. She felt like she was in a nightmare Staggerig back as she heard an evil laughter. The woman in the kisOk had grown three times her size and had those energy bracelet symbols all over her as her body became rubbery from the texture.

"Give me your energy!" she blared as her hand with its rubbery like texture shot forward grabbing Makoto by the neck and began lifting her up. She longed to scream as her lungs began to burn and that same familiar feeling had returned from having her energy drained the last time. She just knew she was going to die.

Sitting in class, the hum rang louder and louder as each minute ticked down. Time seemed to slow down and pick up randomly as each day went on farther and farther. Each day seemed to feel as though something was going to awaken within herself that she didn't exactly understand.

Time was dismissed to leave and the void in her heart expanded as seconds connected to one another. Walking into the middle of the courtyard, Setsuna looked towards the sky searching for answers that seemed there, yet not.

Please, God, help me...

OOC: Nah, I'm just assuming that he had a very close relationship with Minako during the Silver Millennium.
But wait! I'm not sure whether to tell Minako to transform into Sailor Venus or Sailor V. The transformation phrase will be different depending on which one.

Artemis looked behind him to see if Minako was following him or not. With a grim smile, he was glad to see that she did follow in hopes of saving the 'poor, helpless kitty.' She was right, it was far too dangerous, but he was prepared. Soon, she would be, too. He stopped aways from the booth, which was the site of the catastrophe, in a place that was partially shielded from the prying eyes of the general public. There, he waited for her.

He performed a tight flip and an orange and yellow henshin pen dropped, then rested at his paws. On the top of the henshin pen was the planetary symbol of Venus. With a fond smile, he spoke. "You can save everyone. Answer to your destiny and call upon the power of Venus! Grab this pen and say the words, "Venus Power, Make-up. You will know what to do."

Remember the duty that fate granted you. Please, remember me.

In the middle of Hotaru's class she started getting a terrible headache. It was like the one when the youma first attacked. Hotaru excused herself from the class and ran to the hallway. Luna seemed to have been waiting for her.

"Hotaru we need to hurry! Something terrible is happening at the mall!" Luna told Hotaru.

"Okay." Hotaru said, "But I didn't see Michiru today. What can I do all by myself?"

"Don't worry about that we will think of something!" Luna said, "Now hurry!"

As Hotaru ran towards the exit of the building she was in, she ran into the green haired girl from before. "I'm sorry." Hotaru yelled. Then she started to run away, but stopped.

Luna was looking at the green haired girl very closely. Then she spoke to her.

Setsuna, you must come with us, quickly! something terrible has happened! Luna spoke.

Within seconds, Setsuna became wide-eyed as the crescent mooned cat spoke to her with completely urgency. One second she was alone looking towards the sky and the next the black haired girl was with her and a strange talking cat. "Something terrible has happened? What in the world could I do about it? How do you even know my name?" The hum returned to her mind with a different aura. As if someone else was speaking to her.

Please, just follow us! Your destiny awaits you! Trust me!

Normally Setsuna would protest, but the humming sound pushed her forward to follow them. Each footstep pounded beneath her feet as they scurried over to the Mall. Every inch forward felt as though her past, present, and future self were colliding as one. In the back of her head, a man's voice spoke softly to her.

Follow yourself through time, my child...

Rei and Ami were in the shoe store. Rei found some cute shoes and was about to try them on until she heard screaming. Both Ami and Rei looked at each other and headed out the store to see what was going on. The Kisok was right near the shoe store and the girls saw several bodies laying on the ground. They then saw a woman growing three times her size.

People around the area grew in panic and started to make a run for the exit. Rei started to make a run for it, but noticed that Ami was still staring at the yoma. She turned around and grabbed a hold of her friend's hand. She pulled on it and dragged Ami into the crowd of people.

Rei ran as fast she could, but kept a steady pace so Ami could keep up with her. They were half way to the mall's exit when Rei tripped over a person. The mass panic was causing people to push each other to the ground. Rei lost her gripped on Ami's hand and fell over the person. She was able to get up some how and she grabbed the hand of the person she tripped over. She pulled him up from the floor. She turned to see where her friend was, but she was no where in sight.

She then fought the crowd frantically looking for her friend. She kept calling out Ami's name, but it was useless. The crowd was too much for Rei and she was pushed back to the exit. Rei was now outside the mall and was able to get out of the crowd. She looked around hoping Ami was outside, but there was no sign of her. In panic Rei dashed to a different exit of the mall, but there were security guards standing there. One of the guards stopped her from entering the mall. Rei just around angrily and walked away. She had to get into that mall some how. There was no way she was going to lose her best friend.

Minako was stunned. “You are...” she gasped. “The power of Venus, what…”Minako’s question was interrupted by Makoto’s
harrowing scream. Minako turned around only to see her friend being grabbed by a youma. “Mako-chan!!!” Minako yelled tears in her eyes. She looked at the white cat who held her transforming pen. She bit her lip and gripped the pen in her grasp, memories flowing into her mind while she heard a voice: “It is time for you to become your own guardian”, the woman voice said.

She raised her hand up holding the pen: “Venus Power Make-Up!” A gentle, warm light went through her body and her clothes changed into a senshi fuku.

Running to help her only friend, Minako released her first attack: “Crescent Beam!” she shot the attack at the youma, making it lose its consciousness for a while and caught Makoto before she fell to the ground. She kneeled down, holding her friend’s head on her lap. “Mako-chan! Mako-chan!” she called her friend’s name. “Please, open your eyes… Don’t die… Mako-chan…” she cried leaning her head on her friend’s shoulder. “I don’t want to lose you! Please, Mako-chan!” she yelled crying.
