Saturn is better off with her game "transformation" than being Crystalized. Also nothing beats the Outers' transformations music from the original. 

Yami, you have me there. The S music can and will never be replicated by Crystal. If I listen to it on the bus in the morning, it makes me emotional and i have to switch to something else.

I think my favorite S BGM track is the music they play whenever something dramatic and evil is happening.  I just love the orchestrated music they use for that.

Oh-ho big time. Every track in the S season is fantastic- the demon egg theme, the outer senshi themes, the battle themes and mistress 9's theme are fantastic.

I love it and am so excited to imagine my favorite arc (stars) Finally done with the manga plot and not that Seiya-centric BS from the original. It was the best animated SM Original Arc but it was really painful to watch as a young fan because I had read the manga and fallen in love long before I could get my hands on a copy of that season.

Finally! I cannot wait to see how they'll animate the battle at the Galaxy Cauldron! That was the most epic part of the Stars arc!

Epic! 

I imagine SMC2 being two arcs and Stars getting an OAV or movie! Stars is a very fast paced arc with much more time spent at the end than for build up.

Sweeite, it has been confirmed that the season two they are taking about is the Black Moon Arc. Japan will be broadcasting it on TV in the summer.

There gonna do it, I'm sure of it! I mean, they can't just end it with Usagi getting a new stick and brooch! Plus, Chibiusa came back! They could've easily changed it so Chibiusa stays in the future...but they didn't! #Infinityarcconfirmed!

I would really like to see this continue, but I'm not going to hope for anything until I see a legit announcement from the Japanese Sailor Moon team on their website or via their Twitter account.

SMC follows the manga very closely, so Chibi Usa coming back to the 20th century is not a guarantee that Toei is gonna do more arcs. I'm with Aurae: I'll believe it's official when I see the announcement on the official Japanese SM website.

This is probably going to take a year then maybe an extra year because they couldn't get it done in time. In my opinion, they're either lazy or incompetent of making a tv show. I wish they would just put the 90s back on, maybe in HD. Touch ups here and there.
Waiting 2 weeks for ONE episode and knowing they make the next episode during that time period is ridiculous. I understand its tons of work to make a show but they should get their timing better and make things ahead of time.
If they are going to work the way they did with this first season, I'll probably be 30 by the time they get to Stars if they do it.

I've learned my lesson from the last time these rumors spread. I'm not giving my hopes up until I see a single piece of footage from the season, proving they are actually working and are near finished with the season. Many delays, push-backs and mistranslations of news for the first season has taught me to not to rely on early bird announcements.

I have to say I would like to see Crystal continue into another arc. I know, the animation is seriously questionable. But in my opinion I think the anime has a more dramatic and serious flair than the original and I do like that. I like that they are closer to the manga, and I love the music! So I'll continue to watch and hope eventually it succeeds in becoming better animated because they are doing everything else fairly well IMO. Here's keeping fingers crossed. ^^

Although I will say in my opinion Diamond and Sapphire are much cuter in the original.

With director Munehisa Sakai leaving, it ain't looking good for Crystal. At this point, I can see three scenarios for Crystal.


The first, and what I hope for, is that Crystal is renewed with better funding. I'd like something worthy of the Sailor Moon legacy. Hell, I'd even just take a 12 episode take on the Infintiy arc that is polished rather than 26 more episodes of bleh.


The second is that things continue on from here at a snail's pace and Crystal remains mostly as it is.


The third is that Crystal ends here. It happened to PGSM and it could very well happen now, especially as the main cast of the new Sailor Moon musicals are being let go (Sailor Moon and the inners). Things aren't looking good for Sailor Moon right now.

Does anyone know why they're leaving? Or did their contract just expire? I did hear that they're leaving Toei as well.

From what I understand they are "graduating". So that doesn't necessarily indicate they won't continue the musicals but it seems a bit suspicious that they only lasted through 3 musicals.

As far as Crystal goes, I'm in the "it's probably not gunna happen" camp, but if it does... great...??? I know everyone knows of my dislike of Crystal but I jsut don't see toei wanting to put more into a 20 year old franchise that doesn't have the popularity of its just as old/older shounen counterparts (Dragonball/Digimon). Shoujo is always going to get shafted over shonen. Unfortunately just how it is in the industry.

It's only graduating since the girl doing Tuxedo Kamen doesn't graduate (or the Outer Senshis I believe). I think only Anza was ever able to stay through the whole five arcs and it seems it won't be changing.

I would want Crystal to continue, but I doubt it will, mostly because it's often like this. I don't mind Crystal and to be honest, if it was to stop there, we would probably have to wait another 20 years before something else comes shake Sailor Moon awake. So if Crystal could continue I wouldn't say no.

"Graduating" as in being let go. From what I understand, they're basically being forced out. This is just as rumor though, but it seems this way, especially since all five of them are moving on at the same time. I hope that the musicals continue, but it'll be sad to see them go.

Again, I would like Crystal to continue... differently. I'd rather have the rest of the arcs animated into movies or something than have to deal with more bad quality.

Guess I'm a bit burnt out on all the "new" Sailor Moon stuff cause frankly I'm very tired of it and just wish they would leave SM alone. I was happy with new merch and relicensing of the manga and 90s anime internationally but all this new stuff can go away imo. The new musicals are just empty shiny pretty shows because Japan seems to like anything that sparkles or whatever but could care less about substance and I don't even need to go into Crystal...

Grandma Brit hit the nail on the head, for me at least. I'd love to see my quartet animated. But I don't think that will ever happen xD

I'm with ya Brit. SM just needs to go away. New merch is nice, but we didn't need a new anime.

I have faith that they'll continue. Maybe they're waiting for the TV broadcast to end so that they can continue it as a weekly series. 99% chance that there will be a new director, though.
