Character Name: Kaiou Michiru (Silver Millenium: Princess Thalassa)
Gender: Female
Age and Date of Birth: 17, March 6th (23 in Crystal Tokyo)

Used Canons: Manga, some anime

Appearance: Michiru is sculpted like a goddess in precious stone; an impeccable milky complexion poured into a sylphlike feminine shape. . Her features – pouty lips, thick brows, high cheekbones – reflect her ancient bloodline, while her unblemished skin radiates like moonlight on water. Much of her semblance is a blend of two worlds, oceans apart, but somehow contained within her earthy vessel. Soft and wide, eyes  are colored like blues of the Atlantic. They can be as gorgeous and crystalline as calm water or sharp and intensely glacial. Her body is deliciously carved in the right places, blessed with a petite waist and libidinous hips; however, it is uncharacteristic of her to flaunt her curvature. Although she is in of possession of thousands of dollars worth of rare jewelry, she prefers to keep her flavor simple and stylish. But when the occasion arises, Michiru dresses with such flair! She is never tacky, never over-exposing, and never indolent when in comes to her appearance. Regardless if she is on stage or in the heart of battle, Michiru beams with allure. Sea-green curls undulated down her back like ripple of the sea.

Of course, the power of her allure has not gone unnoticed; although she exercises an appropriate level of modesty, it is not unusual for Michiru to become engrossed over her appearance. Her unfortunate girlfriend Haruka is sometimes left to wait while she does her last minute powdering. But, in all, she is not the over sexualized and picturesque woman that many that do not know her come to assume.

What sets this passionate woman apart from others is her sophisticated mannerisms, reminiscent of centuries long past, holding the ardor of regality. Her grace is not marred by battle  either; even when transformed she performs with natural eloquence. There exists a sort of deep and romantic relationship between the seas and her, which is carried out in the way she performs. Growing up under the tutelage of money’s finest,  the daughter of two influential businesspersons, she has majesty embedded in her every maneuver.

Personality:
Michiru’s personality is as capricious as one’s reflection; she possesses a certain duality about her, not unlike a mirror. What the world sees of her is subjective - vain, cold, and detached. And, for all intents and purposes, the unknown Michiru exactly that. Her antipathy isn’t simply because she’s mean to the core; far from it. However, in most of her years in and out of prestigious academies, she’s never met an individual worth liking. Until she met  Tenou Haruka, of course. Her student peers never fail to astound her with their reprehensible conceptions of self-worth. And Michiru, despite being wealthy herself, cannot fathom the thought of it. What kind of horror would she have to become to understand people of that kind? The Neptunian was fortunate to be spared an impoverished life thanks to her family and burgeoning musical career; yet ognizant of the trying times that could have been, she feels no affection towards those who undermine the sacrifices of the lesser abled. In the face of her family, she feels an even greater disconnect. The lines surrounding this one are thin and tight; for not only does she realize they are not her “true” family, but she doesn’t share the expected sentiments one would associate with family. To her, mother and father are just playing their roles among the carnivorous elite. Perhaps this is because of how early her magic manifested, giving her much insight into her previous life. And so, she deals with them with the same lack of sentiment and disdain. But this isn’t to say that Michiru is a woman always scorned! She can be venomous, without a doubt, but unlike those who lash out to compensate for a lack of confidence, Michiru is tactful with her indifference. She’s learned to mimic the arrogance of those around her. When faced with a querulous situation, she will react with decorum and razor-sharp accuracy. She doesn’t aim to bully or place herself above anyone else, but when the opportunity arises (i.e., when someone says something absolutely stupid) Michiru isn’t one to hold her tongue. That being stated, she’ll only offend when offended. The pursuits of other teenagers aren’t any of her concern and she’d like to keep it that way. However, since befriending the inner guardians, she’s since had to tone this down. (It’s not their fault they’re underage and under educated!)

Most of her peers would describe Michiru as quiet or enigmatic, not fully understanding why a young woman in her position would purposefully elect to ignore Japan’s most influential crowd. Kaioh Michiru is known throughout Tokyo as an outstanding violinist and artist, yet she’d never be one to flaunt excessive materialism. But when she’s with Haruka, and nothing else really matters, she’ll weave wealth and romance and ecstasy into one. No coin, no gold can compare to her lover. Michiru’s emotional state may not always be easy to discern. Through her beautiful music, however, she can emote lucidly. She finds a deep, oceanic peace when playing the violin. Whether playing a heartwarming rendition of a concerto or belting out a frightful crescendo, Michiru’s thoughts, and to some extent, emotions are heard as clearly as every note. Whereas she cannot always properly convey what she is feeling, her music never lies. Naturally, many of come to know Michiru as narcissistic. It’s an easily made assumption, upon stepping foot inside or flat or dumping the contents of her purse, one would find a noteworthy and slightly disturbing amount of mirrors. At least in her flat, it makes for a rather creative interior scheme. She does have a gross fascination with mirrors but as Sailor Neptune, her alter ego, she isn’t peering at what is reflected; rather, she is peering beyond herself, into the void. Pretending to primp in her mirror is more of a way for her to tune out the white noise that is Japan’s blubbering female population.

Since the manifestation of her powers and the start of random yet poignant visions, Michiru has felt a compulsory call to duty. While other guardians may have had friends or an animal friend to awaken them, Neptune awoke on her own. One evening, not yet fourteen, her facade was shattered by a powerful dream. Being Sailor Neptune was a decision somewhat influenced by her visions but wholly influenced by her life. As the daughter of two wealthy Japanese executives she hadn’t anything else to offer her small, depthless world; as Neptune, however, she could offer in abundance. Perhaps her time shared with the affluent had made her numb to their plights - or she just generally didn’t give a pluck about someone with more oil wealth than the entire country of Ethiopia - but as a public defender, her compassion shines through. She’s spent so long suppressing her disparagement towards her contemporaries that she’s developed a natural resistance to them. Michiru  is marvelous at holding a rather dull conversation while remaining totally disinterested. Her sardonic and perfectly placid mannerisms never go unnoticed; whether she truly feels above all else or just bored is a question that remains to be answered. Yet, in the presence of her beloved Haruka, her heart pours out like the flowing tide. Her heart is as genuine as her reflection; Michiru’s  unbreakable will is far from a sign of introversion. Her words and tone may not always align but she can emote, she does smile, and she’s eager to surround herself with more like-minded individuals like the guardian soldiers  so that she can truly  experience these emotions, rather than playing to the crowd. As Sailor Neptune, Michiru is completely willing to make severe sacrifices to see her goals come to fruition.

Any Unique Abilities/Skills: Michiru possesses extrasensory powers that extend beyond her Deep Aqua Mirror. These abilities would be best described as “psychic” but Michiru is not telepathic in any sense. She has natural precognition, the ability to foresee possible futures, but she cannot manipulate minds or other psychic energies. She can, however, sense those with similar abilities like Sailor Mars. Her visions are most effective when viewed in her mirror.

History:
Silver Millenium

In the peaceful prehistoric age, long before modern Earth, each planet was ruled by its own kingdom. The planet Neptune was ruled over by a ferocious sea king and his sea maiden wife. Although unconfirmed, it is speculated that his wife hailed from planet Mermaid, an oceanic star filled with nymphs. The King and his wife bore thirteen daughters, the eldest of which was called Thalassa. As tradition, the gracious Queen Serenity gifted the royal family with the Triton Castle. Princess Thalassa became known throughout the deeper end of the galaxy for her poise, grace, and musical talent. Like her Queen mother, she was perilously beautiful, much to the dismay of her sisters. As the princess heir, Thalassa, along with three other princesses, pledged an alliance to Queen Serenity of the Moon Kingdom. Princess Neptune, Uranus, and Pluto promised to uphold the Moon’s law and protect their galaxy from intrusion. As a token of her dedication, Serenity presented Thalassa with a sacred treasure, the Deep Aqua Mirror. With the powers passed down through her bloodline and Serenity’s tutelage, Thalassa embarked on her herculean journey to become Sailor Neptune.

Thalassa and the other Outer Guardians trained for centuries, which, in the Silver Millenium, meant a little over several years. Once their training was complete, Serenity christened them as Sailor Guardians. Thalassa took up her post on Neptune which overlooked the planet Uranus. She watched from a distance and through her mirror as the Soldier of Uranus dutifully represented her people. Over time she would develop feelings for Princess Uranus but could mar their professional relationship as soldiers. It would be years, centuries even, before Neptune confessed her love to Uranus. Intently focused on defending the outer realms of the solar system, Neptune was none-the-wiser to the advancing of Metallia and Beryl. The overthrow of Earth’s forces, and the fall of the Moon Princess. It was not until her mirror powerfully resonated, revealing all in true reflection including the awakening of the feared Soldier of Silence, Sailor Saturn. The Silence Glaive swung like a pendulum. Everything turned to dust.

Tokyo (Modern)

Princess Neptune, along with the rest of the sailor soldiers, was reincarnated in 20th century Tokyo. The reincarnated princess, now named Kaiou Michiru, was the daughter of auspicious entrepreneurs. From early childhood, Michiru delved in the lap of luxury. She was introduced to the violin early, perhaps unconsciously triggered by her love of music in her past life, and fastly mastered it. Michiru, through her talents, flitted through the social ranks of her peers. She was seen as mysterious, uninhibited, like a much sought after jewel. Michiru’s natural, fairytale beauty attracted the attention of many men. But she was far from interested in these frivolous affairs.

Michiru’s life on Tokyo was panning out to be incredibly mundane - her prodigal genius, artistic talents, and wealth made her the epitome of perfection. Even at the tender age of 14, she was already well-known for her endeavors. While her peers envied their perception of Michiru, she felt an overwhelming sense of apathy and loneliness. Michiru felt as though she had a greater purpose, a reason to exist other than to flaunt the Kaiou family greatness. Her true purpose would come to her in her dreams - unlike the other soldiers, Sailor Neptune awoke without any help. After emerging from a deep trance-like dream, Michiru realized her purpose as Sailor Neptune the Soldier of Embrace. With her memories returned, Michiru recalled all of her magic and became Sailor Neptune once again. She is presumed to have awakened even  before Sailor V, who was not yet of the correct age.

As Sailor Neptune, Michiru found more enjoyment in life. She carefully balanced her vigilante and personal life, never allowing the two to overlap. She operated alone and through the help of her mirror. Neptune would seek out danger in its reflection. But being Sailor Neptune was not enough; Michiru soon felt stagnant again. Her memories revitalized much of her past including the feelings she had for Sailor Uranus. With her heart in mind, Michiru sought to find and awaken Sailor Uranus. Her apparent achievements made it easy to convince her parents of her plans: she would move, by herself, to the Sankakusu district and further her music and art career. Her family had no reservations and sent Michiru, along with a fair amount of money, to Sankakusu.

There, Michiru bounced between schools, searching for the girl who was faster than the wind. Eventually, she came upon a woman named Tenou Haruka. Michiru watched Haruka from the distance for some time, though in her heart she immediately knew that this woman was the beautiful Princess of the Sky reincarnated. Unsure of how to approach her (certainly not with any magic school girl talk!), Michiru began watching Haruka on the circuit. Her crush was quickly blossoming into infatuation! Though ever cool and collected, Michiru requested one of Haruka’s teammates to introduce them. Although Haruka seemed unimpressed, Michiru could sense that she was right all along. Haruka was the one.

Haruka would turn Michiru down only once more before succumbing to her own feelings. At Michiru’s request to paint her, Haruka declined. However, the fates would have them meet once more - this time it was while Michiru was transformed into Neptune. Since awakening, a night of vigilantism was not out of the ordinary for Neptune. But it would be on this night, of all nights, that mattered. Michiru could sense a strong change in the wind, as if it were howling for redemption. She followed its breeze, bringing her just outside of the academy where Haruka ran circuit. And there was Haruka, constricted and useless in the hands of a youma. It took all the strength inside her not to react - after all, Haruka was a soldier too. She had to defend herself. Neptune encouraged Haruka from afar, using her mirror to show Haruka her destiny. Time seemed to pass slowly between them, the instant that Haruka locked eyes with Neptune she knew. Uranus’ symbol burned brightly on her brow and she broke free of her restraints. Together, for the first time, Neptune and Uranus defeated the youma. They were inseparable from that day forward.

They would operate together for a few more years, occasionally reporting in to Sailor Pluto who could not leave her predestined post at the Space-Time Door. Following their suspicious, the two enrolled and were accepted into Mugen Gakuen, an escalatory school that only allowed geniuses of certain fields. Michiru was enlisted into the musical division, Haruka the physical. Together, they investigated the school and its impure intentions. They would soon encounter the rest of the sailor soldiers. Through their tribulations, the Outers and Inners united against the Death Busters. They would also realize the reawakening of Sailor Saturn, a fate the Outers greatly feared. However, Sailor Moon’s devotion would spare the world of the same fate. The Outer Guardians, Neptune, Uranus, and now Pluto, kept watch over the reborn Hotaru. Michiru would become Hotaru’s “momma” and Haruka her “poppa”.

Peace did not last long for the soldiers. When the time came to fight, Hotaru rapidly matured into her soldier form and gave the three Outers their planetary crystals. From their, they would battle to defeat the Dead Moon Circus and Shadow Galactica. Neptune, as well as the rest of her team, would succumb to Galactica’s nefarious intentions and die. Only to be reborn by Sailor Moon in the 30th century.

Crystal Tokyo

The new Silver Millennium of the 30th century, Crystal Tokyo, sees perpetual peace. It is ruled by Neo Queen Serenity and King Endymion, unified the Earth and Moon Kingdoms. The Guardian Soldiers protect the entire royal family, including Princess Small Lady Serenity. However, the Outer Soldiers continue to monitor the deep space for incoming threats. On Neptune Michiru regains her title as the ruler of the planet and reverts to her name pre-incarnation, Thalassa. As Queen Neptune, she pays homage to her mother’s home world of Mermaid by creating an alliance between the two planets. From then forth, Neptune and Mermaid enjoy a prosperous and harmonious relationship. Mermaid sends advisors in the form of betta fish who transform into charming singing maidens. These two advisors will, in time, advise the future Princess Neptune.

The kingdoms of Neptune and Uranus also form an alliance  bound by marriage. The universe recognizes the couple as “Sky King” and “Sea Goddess”, though it is widely known that “King” Uranus is really a woman. Together, their energies create a new sacred item - the Sky Trident. Thalassa and her king live in perfect harmony waiting for the time the soldiers will be needed, if ever, again.

Other Noteworthy Facts: Although she’s exceptionally well-versed in violin, Michiru can also play the viola and cello! Her favorites are collecting cosmetics and mirrors - especially the high end stuff! - playing violin, swimming, painting, riding with Haruka, and five-star dining. When Haruka is away or asleep, Michiru often steals her clothes in a playful and adoring manner. Despite her sometimes uppity nature, Michiru’s secret talent is her penchant for sushi (but she’d much rather go out!). Her favorite color is aquamarine.

Storyline Specific Information: [to be edited when I get some storylines! <3]

Senshi Name: Sailor Neptune (Super Sailor Neptune, Eternal Sailor Neptune, Queen Sailor Neptune*)
Realm of Influence(s): Deep Sea
Henshin/Transformation Phrase: Neptune Planet Power, Make Up!/Neptune Crystal Power, Make Up!
Senshi Fuku: Neptune wears a traditional fuku with turquoise and navy blue accents. When she transforms, she pays homage to her homeworld and dons antique Neptunian jewelry: a choker fitted with an aquamarine gemstone and scintillating earrings. Her collar is turquoise which folds down into a navy blue bow in front of her bosom. Sailor Neptune stands on matching stilettos which lace along the ankle like a ballet slipper. To complete her look, whenever she transforms she has a full-face of makeup; all the more fitting for the Princess of Neptune. In the 30th century, Michiru ascends to the Neptunian throne and becomes Queen Neptune. As the Queen, she still has access to her sailor powers but rarely transforms. If the situation is severe enough to warrant her transformation, she will transform into her most powerful form - Queen Sailor Neptune. QSN’s fuku still features her turquoise and navy colors but the bodice is lined in pearls. In the middle of her bow is a elaborate brooch, housing the Neptune Crystal. Her gloves are wrist-length, trimmed in sea-colored stones and pearls, as a tribute to her homeworld. The back bow is long, elegant, and fitting of a majestic queen. She retains the same white boots from her Eternal Neptune form, now complete with ankle jewelry. QSN’s tiara is replaced by a royal circle made of linked gold and set with an aquamarine stone. Her skirts are layered with turquoise, navy, and sheer lining. Queen Sailor Neptune is her strongest form yet.

Powers:

  • Deep Submerge
  • Submarine Reflection (with the Deep Aqua Mirror)
  • Submarine Violon Tide (with Marine Cathédrale)
  • Maleficent Tidal Wave - an attack from the depths of the sea. Neptune summons a treacherous wave of energy.
  • Ocean Rising (with the Sky  Trident/Sailor Uranus) - in moments of desperation, Neptune and Uranus can combine their magic to create the legendary Sky Trident. The Sky Trident is made up of the same translucent material as the Space Sword but has the reflectivity of the Deep Aqua Mirror. When summoned, Neptune and/or Uranus will thrust the weapon into the air and call upon the powers of their elements. If welded by Neptune, it will cause a gargantuan wave of energy and knock the opponent back. If welded by Uranus (the attack would then be “Sky Falling”), it will cause the air pressure to drop so severely that one literally becomes crushed under the weight of the air.
  • Sailor’s Fate (with Sailor Mermaid/Aluminum Siren) - together these mistresses of the ocean create deadly persuasive energies to ensorcel and eliminate foes. Mermaid/Siren’s hypnotic song ability with lull even the most obdurate of enemies, leaving them open for a powerful follow-up attack by Neptune.

Weapons or Magical Items:

  • Deep Aqua Mirror - a sacred treasure crafted by Queen Serenity and gifted to the Neptunians. It will always reveal the truth, can be used to scry, and awakens the Soldier of Destruction, Sailor Saturn.
  • Marine Cathédrale - Michiru’s precious Stradivarius violin. It is one of the most well preserved Stradivarius instruments and worth over two-hundred thousand dollars.
  • Sky Trident - a trident that resonates with golden energy. The Sky Trident was created at a time when neither Sailor Neptune or Uranus could access their own talismans. Their determination manifested itself as pure energy, coalescing to create a weapon with the combined attributes of Uranus’ Space Sword and Neptune’s Deep Aqua Mirror. In the 30th century, the Sky Trident becomes a symbol of unity between Uranus and Neptune’s unified kingdoms. It can  be used by either Neptune or Uranus, to which they have their respective attacks, but cannot be summoned without both soldiers present. (The Sky Trident when in Uranus (gold) or Neptune's (silver/crystal) hands)

Guardian: Sailor Mermaid (in the 30th century), Guardian Neptune

RP Sample: [from a plot called ‘The Return of Planet Nemesis’

“Here! Beneath this tree, in the shade.”

Kaiou Michiru beamed behind her, casting an excited wave of sea-colored hair over her shoulder and  crisp and fragrant wind, more reminiscent of the careless spring than the blistering summer, play  in it. “It's lovely here, wouldn't you agree?” She continued forward without awaiting a response. Michiru unfurled the blanket in her arms and gesticulated toward Haruka with the other, indicating that she’d made the decision for the both of them. This would be their spot, like it or not. It had been such a long time since the two of them could have something nice. There hadn’t been such happenings; people flit in and died out their lives like fireflies, and between her burgeoning career as a concert violinist and Haruka’s racing, time consumed them.  For the most part, Michiru existed in a monotonous blur of people and space and time, peppered by occasional and refreshing breaks from reality. Such as today. Despite being the height of summer, the sun’s nacreous rays did not burn so intently, and the gentle breeze was just enough to provide relief from the heat. Michiru had to seize the opportunity, even if just for an hour, to enjoy the solace.

For every day spent holed up in some concert hall  or an elaborate training, there was one singular and astronomic mission that reminded her of just how peculiar her life was. In this moment, it was Nemesis; as it drew closer to the precipe, the Neptunian could sense its venomous intent. She could sense that the moods of the people, like seasons, shifted dramatically as the outerworldly plunged towards their home. Winter melted into a lush spring, exacerbated by the lunacy running thick within the lot of the general population. Now they were in the heart of summer and Nemesis’ hold grew tighter about their necks, and Michiru, for the most part, was simply caught up in “Nemesis. I can’t get the thought out of my head. I was sure that Usagi had banished them for good. And now... could they have returned?” Honestly, how could she rest easy when Crystal Tokyo’s greatest threat would be entering the solar system once again? Even for Michiru, whose past life experiences foretold of the falling of mankind, the speculation was overwhelming. Would Death Phantom return? What about all the other banished souls on Nemesis? The Neptunian  supposed things would have gone differently - death by mankind, pollutants, nuclear fallout, but certainly not the return of the fated planet Nemesis. Yet, in some macabre fashion, it was satisfying to have fate decided this way. At least they would they understand the enemy and this time, unlike in their past lives, the Outer Guardians would be there to assist. If it was up to Michiru, they would take on Nemesis himself and die at his hands before incurring the benevolence of Neo Queen Serenity.

Plucking at her skirts so that they did not carry under her as she walked, she sauntered from pavement to grass, slipping into the shade of a tree. Haruka removed her shoes and Michiru followed suit. Peachy toes flexed against manicured lawns, letting the warmth around her soak into her bones and crawl up her spine. For a moment, it was her and the sun, and Michiru drank plentifully; throwing arms overhead and arching herself towards the sky, like a sunflower. The sky was the bluest it had been in days. Summer was dragging into what was promising to be a bleak winter, even now - Michiru tilted her porcelain face upwards and could faintly make out the silhouette of the wandering star, celestial and beautiful like a second moon - the planet made its presence known.  It would most likely paint a foreboding scene against the horizon for the rest of the year, growing in size and intensity as the days counted down. All of Crystal Tokyo lay in wait - what would Nemesis bring to them? “Darling,” she spoke smoothly, already set on smoothing the blanket out before her. She patted the space beside her in an effort to get Haruka to sit too. Even outdoors, splayed on her hands and knees in a sundress, the nobility and elegance of her motions could not be overlooked. Michiru was the product of Neptune’s  finest art; her movements exuded grace but there was pomposity there too, even if unintentional. Carefully, she drew her hands out to all sides of the sheet before turning back to her lover. “We should try to enjoy ourselves. Even if for a little while.” she was seated now, the frills of her dress neatly tucked beneath her knees. Eagerly, she withdrew their sandwiches, turning hers over in her hands meditatively. “I don’t see things becoming any more than what they are now. Not with that looming.” She commented, throwing her hand behind her to motion towards the silhouette of Nemesis. The light from the distant planet intensified the glare across Haruka’s face. Her fingers made swift work of the plastic film wrapping her sandwich and she bit a corner, musing somewhat before adding, “it’s ruining my view.” They smirked in unison and embraced, knowing full and well that Michiru was not referring to the sky.

This profile had interesting details in it. Approved! Smile

Just a little note: Could you mention that Queen Sailor Neptune (together with her items and attacks) is a concept you came up with? As a non-canon form, please note that it should only be used in applicable storylines, which allow the upgrade to appear. Smile

Oh, and if it doesn't take too much of your time, could you perhaps note that as a senshi, Michiru is ready to make big sacrifices for the greater good? Thank you again. (Approved) Advanced Senshi: Sailor Neptune 1434556979
