Appearance: The most iconic and recognizable part of Michiru is her long wavy aquamarine hair. Her eyes are also aquamarine. She stands at about 5’4” or 163 cm. Michiru’s clothing style is elegant and feminine. She is most often seen in dresses aside from her school uniform. Her uniform while in Mugen Gakuen was a maroon long sleeved shirt (for winter) or a maroon shirt with short white sleeves (for summer) accompanied with long green skirt that reaches to her knees, which has dark blue line patterns. The bow on the chest is also green with dark blue lines. The uniform has a dark blue sailor collar with a black star symbol on the maroon fabric in between. The end of the longer sleeves is the same color as the sailor collar.
Personality: Michiru is portrayed as cool and calm just like the sea. She is portrayed as the most elegant and graceful of the senshi. Like the rest of the Outer Senshi, she also exhibits more maturity, aloofness, and ruthlessness when the situation deems necessary, compared to the Inner Senshi. Michiru is often seen by the Inners as a polite and ladylike woman, someone most of them aspire to be. She has an aura of sophistication about her. Usagi once commented that Michiru was the ideal example of a princess. While Michiru has no problem being congenial, she has little interest in socializing outside of Haruka and the other Outer Senshi, especially before she got to know the Inners better.
Michiru is also a very artistic person. She is a skilled painter, and she’s also a musical virtuoso. Her musical instrument of choice is the violin, and she’s so excellent at it that she’s become a famous violinist by the time the Inner Senshi first met her. Being a violinist is also her dream.
Michiru is also very adept at using her tongue to get people (mostly Haruka) flustered. She has this ability to play with words that would often leave her looking like someone who’s made an innocent comment yet the words have deeply burrowed into her target’s mind. She also uses her charm the way Haruka does; to flirt with men sometimes, though not as often as Haruka flirts with girls. Mostly she just does it to rile up Haruka because it amuses her.
Like Haruka, she viewed the threat of the Silence differently than the Inners; in the manga she’d seen firsthand how Saturn destroyed the world in the past, and so agreed that she needed to be killed before she could awaken again. She stood by the principle of ‘the needs of many outweighs the need of one’ and was willing to sacrifice anything, even herself, for the safety of the world. In the beginning, she viewed the Inners’ refusal to this as weakness and the inability to do what’s necessary.
Michiru views her senshi duty as a burden that she did not want Haruka to have to bear, and eventually holds it as the most important thing above all else, even her own dream. However, while she might not admit it, Michiru holds Haruka on the same level, as when it came down to it, she did die for nothing but to protect Haruka in the anime during the Infinity Arc.
In the manga she shows that she has a bit of a shallow side - aside from collecting cosmetics, she also got really pissed when Yaten remarked that her lipstick color didn’t look good on her. Previously, she hadn’t been bothered by the Three Lights, but the comment riled her up enough to become against them (though it was likely played to be an over-the-top comedic thing).
After raising Hotaru with Haruka and Setsuna, we also see her motherly side, and how she enjoys teaching as well as how good she is with children. She is also easily adored by her students in the anime, even receiving a bouquet of flowers from one of them.
Michiru only has one romantic relationship throughout the arcs and it is with Haruka. The two of them are extremely close and have a loving relationship that rivals Usagi and Mamoru’s. Haruka is the person that is closest to Michiru and, likely the only person she lets inside to get to know the real her, as Michiru doesn’t have a naturally open personality. It is with Haruka she has started her senshi journey and carried out her mission, and the two will forever be inseparable. Haruka is the only other person that matters to Michiru more than her princess.
Finally, Michiru, much like Rei, has a sixth sense and the ability of precognition, allowing her to foresee threats and events that would unfold relating to her duty as a senshi.
Any Unique Abilities/Skills: Aside from being a very skilled painter and violinist, Michiru is also a really good swimmer. She also gets precognitive visions, whether through dreams or using her Deep Aqua mirror, which can also reveal the truth to her.
History: During the Silver Millennium, Michiru was known as Princess Neptune. She was one of the senshi posted at the far reaches of the universe to protect it from threats from outside the solar system. Her castle was called the Triton Castle. She was depicted as wearing an aquamarine gown while not in her fuku. After the fall of the Moon Kingdom, Neptune, Uranus, and Pluto gathered their talismans which summoned Sailor Saturn. Saturn then wiped the fallen kingdom with her glaive and brought rebirth along with the destruction.
Reborn as Michiru Kaioh on earth, presumably from a wealthy and privileged family, Michiru did not appear until the Infinity Arc. By this point she was already an accomplished violinist, and not much was known about how she was awakened as a senshi. In the anime, she proceeded to awaken Haruka and the two of them began to look for the talismans, whereas in the manga she already had her talisman the entire time and was investigating the new threat of Death Busters.
When her path and the Inner Senshi's ultimately crossed, she introduced herself to them all as Sailor Neptune, one of the Outer Senshi.

Storyline Specific Information: Beyond the Sea of Stars: In an alternate Silver Millennium world, a young princess from Uranus, raised as a pirate and feeling that the identity of 'princess' is like a skin that doesn't quite fit, crash lands in a nearby planet on one of her journeys. That planet happens to be Neptune. This place, so different from the clouds of her homeworld of Uranus, amazes her with the vast oceans that she has never before seen. While there, she meets an enchanting young woman, not realizing that girl is in fact Princess Calypso of Neptune. The young Princess Calypso shares a similar longing for adventure and escape. The demands of her parents have weighed her down since early childhood, as they seek to educate and train a "perfect" future queen for their planet. She does not initially reveal to this mysterious stranger that she is Neptunian merfolk, able to live in their vast cities beneath the waves or walk on the small islands that cover her world... or that she was the one to save the blonde from an untimely watery grave after the Uranian's crash landing. Slowly their friendship blossoms, and perhaps it may become something more.
In this storyline, the princess of Neptune is not a senshi. She is also able to morph between mermaid and human form as her planet is 90% water. She longs to see the rest of the world, wondering what other kingdoms and planets are like, but have never been allowed to leave her home because of her future role. Calypso's voice is enchanting like a siren's and she is also a gifted musician. She lives a very sheltered life and knows little even beyond the boundaries of the palace.Senshi Information

Senshi Fuku: Sailor Neptune’s main color is turquoise. Her collar (which has no stripes at all), choker, skirt, and glove’s pads are turquoise. Her back and front bow are dark blue. Her tiara has a turquoise gem. Her glove is only slightly longer than her wrist, not all the way up to her elbows like the Inners. She wears turquoise high-heeled shoes with criscrossing straps like ballet shoes. Her earrings in the anime is a simple white stud but in the manga it's shaped like a planet (presumably Neptune) surrounded by a ring and is gold in color. On her choker there's also a similar rounded gold object (though it also resembles the sun as there are rays coming out of the circle).
After being upgraded to Super Sailor Neptune, her choker now has a yellow star, her brooch becomes heart-shaped, the bottom of her shoulder pad becomes transparent, and her back bow becomes longer and bigger.
Her last upgrade as Eternal Sailor Neptune gives her a V-shaped choker, her brooch becomes star-shaped, and so does her tiara. Now she has one white stripe on her collar. Her skirt becomes two layered, the lower part is light turquoise. Her shoulder pads become round light turquoise puffs with turquoise stripes below them. Her gloves are now longer, reaching past her elbows. She has two ribbons - turquoise and light turquoise - as belts around her waist which meet in the middle and clasped with a yellow star. She now wears white knee length boots with a yellow star on the turquoise V-shaped stripe at the top. Her earrings become star-shaped.
Powers: - Deep Submerge: An attack that summons powerful ocean waves to crash around or blast an enemy.

She kept telling herself this was what destiny would want—that it was Haruka’s calling and it was Michiru’s job to let that be known to her. It was her responsibility to awaken Haruka as a senshi and remind her of her purpose in this world.
It was a responsibility she both wanted and didn’t.
Michiru would never admit it to herself, but part of her desire to seek out Haruka was purely selfish. She wanted a companion. She wanted someone she could fight with, someone to support her and to lean on during the toughest times.
But oh, how part of her hated herself for doing it. Haruka didn’t need to suffer. She could remain in the dark and never ever be in danger or have to sacrifice anything. Her life didn’t need to be difficult. Ignorance
is bliss. And maybe if Michiru let her be, she could grow up and be happy and never think about saving the world.
Or maybe she would awaken anyway, on her own, like Michiru did. And then what? She’d blunder around with no one to guide her. Maybe she would eventually learn, like Michiru did too, but wouldn’t it be nicer if Haruka had her from the start anyway?
Yes, this was all for her own good. She was going to be there for Haruka because no one had been there for her.
No, it had nothing to do with Michiru’s needs. This was what the fates wanted, and if it would come knocking on Haruka’s door sooner or later anyway, it might as well be her.
Her mind made up, Michiru planned the best way to approach the runner she’d seen from the distance more often than she cared to admit, and prepared to destroy her world.
But it’s all for the greater good.That was what she told herself, because at the end of the day, despite all her justifications and excuses, Michiru was the biggest liar of them all.
