What does Madoka have to do with sailor moon?

it's sucess as a magical girl series because it have new individuall ideas/elements. in japan a new season of SM also need new individuall ideas to success but that seams impossible ..

so a sailor v ova seems to be the better idea than a "new" season of sm ...

I don't think it's impossible. We could have a new season that shows how Usgai becomes Neo Queen Serenity seeing how that wasn't explain very well. I rather a Sailor V OVA series heck I would like to have 26 episode anime.

for hardcorefans it's interessting, but it's just recycling ... it would be the same like all the 5 seasons before. and 26 episodes seriously? with half of the season are just filler? hmm i would prefer a 5 - 8 episodes OVA, same goes for Sailor V ..

like i say before you CAN'T compare the american/europen fanbase with the japanese fanbase ^^
if you where also german i would post something a long now .... but it's to hard t explain it understandable in english :3

They probably didn't dub it because of all the themes of death in that episode might have been considered too emotionally traumatizing for little kids. Like you have Minako pretending to be dead so her best friend could steal her boyfriend and Usagi threatening to kill a human that was turned into a monster instead of healing her like usual. If Bambi's mom being shot would traumatize kids, I can imagine how controversial this episode would be on American TV.

What's so badly animated about Toei? Sure, Sailor Moon's animation is dated but not anymore so than other 90s anime like Magic Knight Rayearth and Fushigi Yugi. I'm not a big fan of Pretty Cure but I think it's animation looks pretty decent for a kid's show designed to sells toys for little girls. I personally like One Piece's unique character designs and I personally like Digimon's animation too, especially in the movies. The director of the second Digimon movie later went on to direct Summer Wars. In any case, I think they certainly have better animation than Studio Pierrot does.

I think they need to do the Sailor Moon Anime and with a side a Sailor V Anime

I wish they were a Codename: V anime... Would it be only to see Ace animated. I love this guy.

Wasn't he like a teenager himself? maybe 18 at the most? Also for some reason, relationships like that seem to be more ok with japanese society? At least thats what i've gathered from other anime series. o.o

I'm hoping that, with Codename Sailor V being reprinted and available along with the Sailor Moon Manga, that maybe animators will see that we fans ARE interested in Sailor V's story, and that it would be a good investment to make an animated series or OVA about our beloved Sailor V! <3 (hint hint you anime-makers!)

I would love to see a Codename Sailor V Anime and it could be cool to integrate it into the Sailor Moon anime somewhere as long as they would show us more than just 1 episode showing V. I've always wanted to see Ace as well.

When I first saw that video I thought it was legit. The creator did a good job of making it look official. If they ever animate it I would love to see that opening used, or at least follow the same formula.

I'd love to see an OVA of Sailor V or at the very least a full feature animated film (and since the original anime talked about a Sailor V movie it'd be largely appropriate).

I'm surprised an anime based on the Sailor V anime never existed. You would think Toei would try and milk the series even more by making an OVA or movie based upon the manga for Sailor V. Then again, it could be Naoko was so unimpressed with the anime at the time, that she wouldn't let Toei get the rights for a Sailor V spin-off.

If that was the case, I can only imagine another studio wanting to do it and cash-in on the Sailor Moon name, but couldn't for whatever reason. Wether it would be Naoko herself again not trusting anyone, or Toei being stubborn and not wanting anyone else to profit from the Sailor Moon name.

I wanted to see the anime version of the Codename Sailor Moon as well, I ever read the manga at my cousin's house and I loved it.

I wished they did animate Codename: Sailor V.   Sad that they didn't.
