Appearance:

Ami Mizuno is a young girl with short blue hair, and gentle blue eyes. She tends to leave her hair alone, preferring to allow it to style itself naturally. She makes sure she looks presentable before she leaves the house, but tends not to put a lot of effort into styling it. She loves to swim which gives her a lean, athletic body. When she is not wearing her senshi fuku, or her school uniform, she favours comfortable clothing, as she does spend a lot of time either reading and doing schoolwork or doing personal reading. It is important to be comfortable when studying so one is not distracted.


Personality:

The first thing anyone will notice about Ami Mizuno is how intelligent she is. She spends a lot of time studying and is excellent with computers. She studies so much because her goal is to be a doctor like her mother. She also left to studying abroad so she could increase these chances. However, she ended up staying, not being able to leave her friends. Ami is also quiet and doesn’t like to fight. She constantly tries to mediate Usagi and Rei’s fights. She would rather use her logic and intelligence to defeat an enemy rather than engaging them physically. She is polite, shy, conscientious, and a little insecure. Ami’s intelligence and insecurities can oftentimes get in the way of her making friends. Because she is so smart, and spends so much time studying, many people talk behind her back, believing her to be cold and unfriendly. In reality, she is quite caring and loving, but she feels that all she is good at is studying. She finds it difficult to make friends, but she is a loyal and amazing friend when you have earned her friendship.  She has been described as everything Usagi is not, and the opposite of Usagi. She uses her glasses as a way to be able to hide away from the world, behind a mask and does not feel comfortable when she isn’t wearing them in public.

She loves to read, play chess and to swim. She admires her mother and while she wishes she could spend more time with her, she understands that her jobs places high demands on her time and energy. Being friends with Usagi, Minako, Rei and Makoto has greatly changed her. She is able to open up more to others and isn’t as shy and insecure as she use to be.

Any Unique Abilities/Skills:
Ami is an amazing swimmer. She also is incredibly smart, having an I.Q. of about 300, and able to use computers exceptionally well. She has the ability of being able to think on her feed and do long division in her head. She is a great studier and has good time management skills.

History:
In the Silver Millennium, Ami was Princess Mercury, the guardian of the planet Mercury, and one of the Inner Senshi who acted as the guardians for Princess Serenity. When the Dark Kingdom attacked, she died in the line of duty, being sent to earth by Queen Serenity to be reincarnated with the rest of the Senshi.  

When she was 14 years old, she met Usagi, who attempted to befriend her. She was later attacked at her cram school by a Youma. Usagi, as Sailor Moon attempted to save her, but her powers awoke, and Luna gave her first transformation wand to her. She transformed into Sailor Mercury and working with Sailor Moon, they were able to defeat the Youma. From there, their friendship deepened and she was able to make more friends as the rest of the inner senshi’s powers awoke. Ami lives with her mother, who is a Doctor. Unfortunately, because of the demands of her job, Ami doesn’t get to see her mother very often. She used to spend most of her days alone before she became friends with Usagi and the other inner senshi. After they defeated the Dark Kingdom, their memories were erased as Usagi’s wish was for them to have a normal life. However, all good things must come to an end when duty calls and her powers awoke once more, bringing back her memories. She now spends her time studying to be a doctor, attempting to get her friends to study and protecting their Princess and future Queen.

Storyline Specific Information:
Elysion: Trapped in Queen Nehellenia's dream mirror, Ami doesn't realize that everything that she is seeing is a shared dream with the others, the ultimate "What if the Silver Millenium hadn't been destroyed?". Everything in life was going perfect for Mercury. The Princess was to get married, her experiments were going wonderfully and her relationship with Zoisite was progressing. She absolutely couldn't be happier or want anything else.

Senshi Fuku:

Sailor Mercury’s colours are a medium blue with light blue for the front and back bows. There is a medium blue round button on her front bow.  Her gloves are white, with a blue cuff at the end, which ends at her elbow. Her boots are knee high and are blue in colour. The fuku skirt, collar and choker are all the same blue, which is also the same as her boots and the blue on her gloves. By pressing her right earring, she can activate her goggles which are light blue in colour which go across her eyes.

Super Upgrade: Her colours remain the same with her super upgrade. She now sports a yellow star on her choker. The button on her front bow is now a heart instead of a circle and the bow on the back is longer. She has three earrings on each ear now and now has transparent sleeve caps on her shoulders.

Eternal Upgrade: Her tiara has changed, where she has a blue star instead of an oval gem. She now sports star earrings. The star on her choker has remained the same, however, the tops of her boots which are now white, have a star with a blue rim and she wears a light blue belt with a star that connects to the top of her skirt. Her collar now has a gold strip instead of a white one. Her sleaves are transparent light blue, forming a puffy circle, which ends in a 2 tier cuff. Her gloves have remained the same. There is now a light blue star on her front bow and her back bow has shortened, but now has long light blue ribbons that extend from it, which are the same colour as her bows and the second tier on her skirt.

Powers:
Mercury Aqua Mist – Creates a fog.
Shine Aqua Illusion – A spray of water capable of blasting enemies.
Shine Snow Illusion - Creates a snow storm to blast enemies.
Mercury Aqua Rhapsody - Sailor Mercury playes the Mercury Harp to send blasts of water at her enemies.
Mercury Aqua Mirage – she shots a ball of water from her hands, which forms into several steams of water, surrounding the enemy and destroying them.

Weapons or Magical Items:
Mercury Goggles- Allows her to find weaknesses in enemies by scanning them. Activated by pressing the earring on her right ear.
Mercury Computer- A handheld computer in which she uses to analyze data and find weaknesses of the enemy.
Transformation Pen- allows her to transform into Sailor Mercury
Communication Device- wristwatch which allows her to communicate with the other senshi.

Guardian: Luna and Artemis act as the inner senshi’s guardians.

RP Sample:
She curled up on her window ledge seat, book resting in her lap, as she watched the rain gently falling from the sky. There was something relaxing for her about watching the rain. Maybe it had to do with the fact that it was her element that soothed her. She had a connection to it. Just watching the rain come down, closing her eyes and listening to the sounds it made could relax her like nothing else. Part of her wished that it was always raining, so she could always feel this connected to her element. The rational part of her knew that having it rain all the time could have negative consequences such as crumbling infrastructures, and destruction of various ecosystems. It was selfish of her to want it, but she couldn’t help but smile at the idea. She was brought out of her day dreaming when she hear Makoto calling her name, telling her if she didn’t hurry up they were going to be late for the movies. Smiling, she put down her book, taking one last look at the rain before she joined her friends.

Could you mention how Ami's intelligence and insecurity caused her peers to often talk behind her back, saying that Ami was unfriendly, while in reality this was not the case, and she felt all she was good at was studying? Can you also add 'Mercury Aqua Mirage' to Ami's attacks and list her transformation pens and communication device?

For Metamorphosis, could you add a few sentences describing if Ami has experienced some significant changes during the many years of being a senshi, and how Neo Queen Serenity's death affected her?
