Appearance: A beautiful individual, Rei has thick, long raven black hair and unique violet eyes. She stands at 5'3", and she has a thin, curved figure. Her bangs hang in front of her eyes, and her skin is very light. Normally, she wears her TA Academy for Girls uniform, but when she isn't, she likes to wear simple, modest clothing, consisting of skirts, simple blouses, t-shirts, jeans, and the occasional pair of overalls. When working at the temple, she wears her white and red priestess robes.
Personality: Known for her passionate, fiery attitude, Rei is not afraid to fight for what she believes in by any means necessary. She sometimes comes off as rude and stern, but in all honesty, she means well. Her temper is very short, and she has very low patience. Her tolerance for immaturity is also extremely low, and she often gets angry at those who are not as sophisticated as she. Rei is also very mysterious, being a psychic priestess, and many are afraid to approach her. Despite this, she is admired by many and seen as a role model. She has strong determination and has a very good drive, which pushes her to succeed in anything she does. Independence is something that is very important to Rei, and she hardly lets herself fall to the manipulations of men. She sets very high goals for herself, and is very ambitious. Among these goals are the ability to succeed, be happy, and do what she loves. Being a good leader falls into her dream to become head priestess at her home, the Hikawa Shrine. Although a girl of sophistication and maturity, Rei has learned to loosen up and have fun, thanks to her friends. They support her in all of her endeavors, which has pushed her to open herself up with them. She enjoys creating music by singing or playing piano, and she loves to plan large-scale events. Her background at the shrine has provided her with talent in martial arts, as well. Martial arts, along with meditation, are some methods Rei uses to get attuned with the spiritual world. It is her way of coping and dealing with her problems. She has a tendency to dwell on her issues, thinking about them and brooding on her own. Placing her problems on other people is the last thing she wants to do, and so Rei lets them build up until they become too much. This is part of the reason why she is so short-tempered and serious at times, because she has so much on her shoulders. She doesn't think that anyone will know or understand how to help her, so she doesn't bother to ask. The amount of trust and faith she puts into others is very small, and so making new friends and meeting new people has always been an issue. She believes that if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself.
Any Unique Abilities/Skills: Rei is a priestess, and with that occupation, she is a psychic. She is able to read fire and use sacred incantations to defeat enemies and detect evil. She is exemplary at detecting negative energy, and she is very in-tune with her body. She is also a very talented musician and performer. She also reads fire in order to gain certain information.
History: During the Silver Millennium, Rei was the princess of Mars, and protector of the Moon's Princess, Serenity. She performed her duties with maximum effort, and always but her princess before herself. When Serenity started sneaking off to the Earth to visit Endymion, Rei would do the same, and eventually fell in love with Jadeite, a shittenou under Prince Endymion. When Jadeite betrayed her, Rei lost everything, including her life. Thanks to Queen Serenity of the Moon, she was reincarnated as a human on Earth a thousand years later.
At a very young age, Rei lost her mother to illness, and was alone with her father. A government official, Rei's father was never around much and didn't have a lot of time for her. He wasn't there for her when her mother died, and he was never there for her every moment after. Because of this separation and depressing loneliness, Rei moved in with her grandfather, a priest at the Hikawa Shrine. From that moment onward, Rei developed her psychic abilities by fire reading, meditation, prayer, etc. Growing up, Rei was very lonely and, because of this, very introverted. People deemed her as pompous and strange, because of the acitivities she participated in, such as feeding crows and constant prayer. In junior high, she met the young Usagi Tsukino, who she mistakenly perceived as an evil force. After attacking the blonde teen and apologizing later, Rei went through a series of events that led to her being captured by an evil servant of Queen Beryl. Because of this capture, her hidden ability to become a sailor senshi rose to the surface, and she transformed into Sailor Mars. Since then, Rei has gone on to fight and defeat countless enemies, all of different strengths and weaknesses. She has grown both socially, mentally, and physically, and never abandons her duty as a sailor senshi.
Other Noteworthy Facts: Rei's star sign is Aries, and her blood type is AB. Her favorite gem is a ruby, which ties into her favorite color: red. She also likes the casablanca flower.
Storyline Specific Information:Hotline Tokyo - The Dead Moon Circus has been defeated, but sailor senshi have yet to gain the opportunity of some rest and relaxation. Home Phone, a popular telecommunications community, has been stirring up trouble in Tokyo City, causing citizens to act upon their darkest desires, wearing masks and wreaking havoc among the city. It's up to the sailor senshi to find and stop their leader, Shwarzpferd, and discover why these citizens are being brainwashed into doing horrible deeds.
Hypothesis - After Crystal Tokyo is taken over by scientists, the sailor senshi are stripped from their homes, their powers, and their queen. Exiled and out of hope, the senshi spend twenty years living on the edges of the 40th century city of Hypothesis. But when a package filled with the senshi's transformation items appears on the doorstep of their rundown home, the senshi have to face a dreadful decision: fight, or flight. After spending the last twenty years without her Usagi, Rei has been struggling to keep believing that her best friend would find a way to save them all. She always knew Usagi was one for surprising them all, and Rei hoped with all of her heart that one day, Usagi would pull through. But with each passing year, her hopes fall farther and farther to the ground. Rei can't help but wonder if even Usagi can save them this time. Minako is the only person who keeps Rei's spirits up, and prevents her from eternally crashing into a pit of hopelessness and despair. Rei is keeping her chin up, but only time will tell how much longer she can hold it there.
Dead Ringer - During the battle against Kunzite, Sailor Moon is killed, and the Moon Princess is no more. However, Sailor Mars and the other senshi are unaware that Usagi was not the real princess, and that Venus is a decoy. The battle against the Dark Kingdom is about to reach its climax, and the sailor senshi are forced to move past their pain of losing Usagi and defeat Queen Beryl once and for all. But Rei is slowly eating herself away over Usagi's untimely death, and her grief is almost too much to withstand. Whether or not she can survive during the final battle without her first and only friend is a mystery.
Burning Passions - Before Queen Beryl launched her attack against the Earth, the senshi and shittenou lived peaceful lives, going about their business with no idea of their past lives. Rei Hino, a priestess at the local Hikawa Shrine, has been living a peaceful life at home and at school. She doesn't have many friends, other than the annoying new employee at the shrine. This employee, one who goes by the name of Jadeite, is constantly getting on her nerves and the two are always bickering about something. Despite this, both parties hold harbored feelings for the other, but neither have been able to push past their pride and admit it. Soon, Queen Beryl finally begins sending youma to the Earth, and there is only so much time left until all hell breaks loose. Will they confess their love before it's too late?
Falling Ashes - Following the ending of Burning Passions, Rei and Jadeite have been dating for quite some time now. They still argue and bicker, but it's mostly lighthearted and flirtatious. Things couldn't be better for them - their relationship is running smoothly, business is booming at the shrine, and there aren't any stresses bringing them down. But all good things come to an end, especially when there's a Dark Kingdom in the mix. The evil Queen Beryl has been searching for Jadeite for quite some time, and finally she has found him. Eager to make him her general, Beryl begins her assault on the young man's mind. Her dark magic penetrates his dreams, giving him glimpses of the past where he betrayed the girl he loves and destroyed a legacy of peace. These dreams begin to take their toll on Jadeite's mental state, and he begins to enter a depression. With such a difficult past, Jadeite struggles to be his same old chipper self. His declining attitude has its effect on Rei, making her wonder why he is changing so much. The couple now faces a challenge of whether or not they can make it through Beryl's evil scheme, and to discover whether or not love really does conquer all.

Senshi Fuku:Sailor Mars - The leotard of Mars's uniform is white, naturally, and the collar is red with one white stripe along the edge. The bow attatched to the end of the collar at the front is a deep purple shade, with a red orb in the center. The sleeves are white, shaped like two rings, and the short, pleated skirt is red. The bow at the back of the skirt is red. Going along with the red pattern, the gloves of Sailor Mars's fuku are elbow-length with red trim, and her high heels are red as well. Adorning her ears are dangling red stars, and a red choker necklace wraps around her neck. To finish off the ensemble, a golden tiara with a red gem in the center is on her forehead.
Super Sailor Mars - The bow on the back of Sailor Mars's fuku extends in length, and the orb in the center of the bow on her chest changes shape to a heart. Also, a golden star appears on her choker necklace.
Eternal Sailor Mars - In this form, the gem on Sailor Mars's tiara becomes a red star, and a gold star appears on the front of her necklace. Her collar has one white line instead of two, and her sleeves become light red, puffy and sheer with two red cuffs. Three red cuffs appear at the ends of her gloves, and a red star takes place of the orb in the middle of her front bow. Instead of a long bow in the back, two red ribbons are held into place at the front of Mars's skirt by a golden star, where they wrap around her waist to attach to a short red bow on her back. Finally, her skirt gains a second, lighter red layer.Powers:Akuryo Taisan - Because Rei is a priestess, she is able to channel her psychic powers into her abilities as a senshi. By using an ofuda scroll, Sailor Mars chants the phrase, "Akuryo Taisan," which purifies and cleanses evil. By combining this ability with her power to control fire, Sailor Mars can damage, or even destroy, her enemy.
Fire Soul - This attack requires Sailor Mars to summon a ball of fire by bring her two index fingers together. When the fireball is formed, she shoots it at her enemy.
Fire Soul Bird - A more powerful version of "Fire Soul," this attack requires Sailor Mars to throw an ofuda scroll into the air and shoot a fireball at it (with the same technique as Fire Soul), thus making the fire take on the shape of a bird.
Burning Mandala - To perform this attack, Sailor Mars summons a ring of fire, which then splits into eight smaller rings that she hurls at her enemy.
Mars Snake Fire - By creating fire in the form of a snake, Sailor Mars is able to blast it at her enemy and do a great deal of damage.
Mars Flame Sniper - To launch this attack, Sailor Mars summons the symbol of Mars on her hand, which then releases streams of fire. By controlling this fire, she creates a bow and arrow and shoots the arrow at her enemy, dealing a lot of damage.
Sailor Planet Attack - This attack can only be performed if the other inner senshi are with her, but to perform it, Sailor Mars channels her energy and combines it with those of her fellow senshi, creating a powerful attack that can practically obliterate an enemy.
Sailor Planet Power - By linking hands and combining their planetary energies, Sailor Mars and the other inner senshi can create a very strong attack, which can be shot at an enemy.
Weapons or Magical Items:Transformation Pen - A red pen with a golden cap. At the top of the cap is the symbol of Mars. It allows her to transform into Sailor Mars, however, it is thrown away during the battle against Queen Beryl.
Star Power Stick - This small stick is mostly red, with a crown on top. The bottom of the crown is golden, while the top is red. Protruding from the crown is a golden star with the symbol of Mars in the center. This transformation item is used all the way from the defeat of the Dark Kingdom to the appearance of the Dead Moon Circus.
Crystal Power Stick - The "stick" part of this item is bubblegum pink, with a handle on the side. A golden pair of wings extends from the top of the small stick, and attached to the wings is a spherical red orb. Inside of the orb is the golden symbol of Mars, and on top of the orb is a small golden star. This transformation item is used from the arrival of the Dead Moon Circus (given to Sailor Mars by Pegasus) to the end of time.
Ofuda - Sailor Mars seems to have a never-ending amount of these small Japanese scrolls. Inscribed on these scrolls are sacred text, typically having to do with banishment and purification. When placed on an enemy, the dark energy within them is cleansed.
Communicator - This item resembles a watch with a large red circular piece replacing the timepiece. The symbol of Mars is on the front, and once opened, the voices of anyone who contacts Rei can be heard.
RP Sample: The flames licked towards the beautiful priestess, warning her of incoming dangerous forces. Sweat poured down her face as she kept her hands moving in front of her, mumbling the sacred terms of meditation. The heat in the room was increasing as the concentration of the raven-haired girl intensified. She had known all along that something was coming, but not even the fire could tell her what it was. All she got was mere glimpses, images that were impossible to put together. The pounding in her head became unbearable and she let go of her concentration, lowering her hands and panting. The flames lowered, returning to their dull, crackling state. The priestess sat on her knees, fists clenched, wondering why her abilities as a psychic were failing. Was the oncoming threat so powerful that not even she could penetrate it?
Tired and in the need of fresh air, Rei walked outside, surprised to find rain pouring from the clouds. A rumble of thunder erupted above her, but she didn't cringe as she walked out into the rain. The cool water felt good on her heated skin, and she relished in the feeling as she walked to her favorite tree. Pulling a scroll of paper from her pocket, she tied it around a branch of the tree, whispering a quiet prayer as she did so:
"Please, protect my friends."
