Hey guys, I know I haven't been on in a while, but I'm freaking out. I specifically asked for an external hard drive for Christmas to save all of the anime torrents on there because I knew some day they would be taken down and I wanted to preserve them, but of course, the day I get one Sailor Moon Center has to take them down :/

Does anyone know where I can get reliable torrents, and if so, would you mind giving me the exact name of the torrent? I've had bad experiences with torrents so I want to make sure I'm downloading ones that people I trust have used. Also I'm sorry if this is against the rules to post, but I didn't see anything about it. If this is against the rules feel free to take it down!

That... really sucks. I have the Sailor Moon Center release on my external hard drive as well, but I got it off their actual site years ago. Now I'll have to guard it with my life, since it's suddenly an endangered species . I think they mentioned they might be moving the torrents to Nyaa.se? This is their account: click me - if you scroll down, after all of the Crystal torrents, you'll see that they still have the full 90s seasons on there. They also say they'll be replacing the video with the Italian video source, and tat they're up to episode 25 with that (it was said in a comment from a few days ago) so... I'm not even sure their activity is over. I think it's just their site that can't host these files anymore.

Gahhh like I understand why it's not on there anymore and I want to support SM but I don't have 600 dollars and I'm mad because I've been asking for a hard drive for years and no one's gotten it for me until now :/

Well, personally I'm going to try and get the entire Viz Media release of the old anime (already have set 1, set 2 is on order) but I would still be super upset about losing these files forever. Sailor Moon Center did a very good job and for what it's worth, the video quality on these was great. By the looks of things, Toei were not 100% honest with Viz when they sent them the masters, and other countries might've received better masters than the US. If that's the case, who knows what the later seasons will look like? If Stars ends up looking better in the SMC release I'll feel sad having lost it forever - with (most likely) or without the VM release on my shelf

As for how torrents work, you need a program such as uTorrent, which is absolutely free. You install that thing and download the ".torrent" files and open them in the program. Then it starts downloading the files into your desired folder. Easy peasy.

The Italian video source is the best image source so if they're replacing it with those...
