I've reblogged, emailed and posted this on my FB. This is the funniest thing I've seen in a while. This conjures up grim memories and bad flashbacks of my earlier days anime days. On a positive note it makes me happy i never adopted the title of Otaku to myself.

I honestly believe a majority of the stuff that was on WeeabooStories. None of it really surprises me. I don't have much faith in human kind as it is, considering how ignorant a lot of people are, so having these anime lovers lost in a world of fantasy and taking it to the extreme...its very feasible. I have seen, known, and personally have been a weeaboo myself. I know how they think. I once thought that way too, I just didn't take it to the extreme (I am guilty of wearing cat ears around school and speaking broken Japanese and thinking Japan is a super happy fun place of amazing and wonderful and kawaii). I, however, knew people that did. Those are the types that drove me away from the community in general tbh. I grew up. Saddly, some don't.
But also keep in mind, that they are purposefully exaggerating the behaviors in their skit for humor. You have to take that much with a grain of salt.

One of my friends has been studying the Japanese culture and language since the fourth grade. She cannot stand otakus, because she feels as if the otakus think they have a more realistic depiction of Japan than she does. She used to try and correct them, but now she just ignores otakus or tells them to shut up. -.-
She's told me stories, which are pretty funny.
