These gowns are typically in white, but other light colors are worn occasionally. The golden crescent moon of the Lunar Royal Family is on her forehead.
Personality: Queen Serenity is known throughout the universe for her wisdom and gentle way of ruling. Beloved by all, she treats all with respect and equality, and she always tries to put herself in another's shoes before making decisions. The love she has for her people is unlike any other, and she holds her kingdom in high regards. None, however, come as high as her daughter. Although very busy, Queen Serenity holds her daughter with utmost love and importance. She is a very caring, responsible mother who works hard to shape her daughter into the queen she will someday be. Despite all of these good qualities, the queen does have some flaws. She is very stubborn, and when her mind is set on something, there is little that could persuade her otherwise. She also tends to listen to her head more often than her heart, and in doing so doesn't put herself into consideration when making decisions. Her greatest enemy is herself, meaning every time she makes a mistake, Queen Serenity hates herself for it. She is indeed a perfectionist, who likes everything to be as it should be, and she is not very flexible towards change. The queen is very dependable, and likes to get things done as soon as she receives the task. Additionally, she will do absolutely anything for the sake of her kingdom and her child. This includes giving her own life.
Any Unique Abilities/Skills: Queen Serenity is actually a very skilled fighter. In her earlier days, she practiced a lot of meditation and getting in touch with her body (with the help of the Martian queen). She is capable of self-defense, but does not let that quality show very often, if at all. The queen is also capable of wielding the Silver Crystal - the most powerful item in the universe.
History: The beginning of the galaxy started when a group of gods and goddesses forged the nine planets and their sun. These planets, which are now the planets we all know today, were all unique in shape, size, and color. Each god or goddess had their own planet, and they were charged with populating their planet and choosing a ruler. Each planet was named after their respectable god or goddess. By using the Galaxy Cauldron, each deity had thousands of star seeds born, creating different races of people to fill their planets with. There were Martians, Terrans, and even Lunarians. Out of every race, one star seed was chosen by each god to possess the responsibility of ruling the planet. These chosen ones became the first ever rulers of the nine planets. One woman, however, was the most important ruler of them all.
This ruler came to be known as Queen Serenity of the Moon, chosen by the goddess Selene. She was the most powerful ruler of all the galaxy's queens and kings, and thus she became the supreme ruler of the Milky Way. What made her so powerful was a sacred stone given to her by Selene: The Silver Crystal.
Queen Serenity ruled the Moon Kingdom and the rest of the Solar System with kindness, grace, and love. She was a very fair and wise ruler, who was loved by all of the galaxy. She had many responsibilities, including dealing with all major affairs having to do with other planets. She appointed palaces to the outer planet princesses, and she appointed the princess of Pluto as the Guardian of Time. She also had to protect the galaxy from many threats, including that of Queen Nehelenia of the Dead Moon.
Unfortunately for the queen, she never found love. Because of this, she was not able to have a child. Desperate for a little bundle of joy who she could love and train to someday take her position, Queen Serenity went to the Galaxy Cauldron to ask for a daughter. Her wish was granted, and soon Princess Serenity of the Moon was born.
Queen Serenity raised this child all on her own, treating her with tender love and care. She held this child on a very high pedestal, and always took her into consideration when performing certain actions. To ensure that the princess was always protected, Queen Serenity appointed the five inner planet princesses as her sailor guardians.
During a ball, the Moon was suddenly attacked by an army of brainwashed Terrans. This army was under the control of Queen Beryl, who was under the control of Queen Metalia. Princess Serenity was killed, as was her lover, her senshi, and the rest of the Moon's civilians. Grieving, Queen Serenity used the last of her strength from fighting to seal away Queen Metalia and her minions. Additionally, she sent her daughter and everyone who died that day to a better future on Earth. However, in her grief and lack of strength, Queen Serenity knew her seal placed upon Metalia would not last forever. To ensure the world would be safe, she assigned to feline guardians to watch over her daughter and the other senshi, ready to step in and inform them of their duty as sailor senshi if need be.
Queen Serenity died, wishing the best for her daughter.
However, her spirit still lived on, and she went on to help her daughter on multiple occasions.
Storyline Specific Information:
Moon River - At the beginning of time, Queen Serenity tasked the young Sailor Pluto with the responsibility of being the Guardian of Time. They had a very professional relationship to begin with, but as time continued Sailor Pluto grew very desperate for someone she could hold on to, love, and depend on. That person was Queen Serenity - the only one who really knew of her existence. Feeling sympathetic, Queen Serenity became that warm embrace for Pluto. They suddenly developed a loving, mother-daughter relationship in which Serenity found herself enjoying Pluto's company, and even making excuses for the Guardian to leave her post to come visit. Pluto also became her most trusted advisor.
This RP will explore the relationship between Queen Serenity and Sailor Pluto, and how it moved from one of professionalism to one of love. It takes place some time before the princess is born, but she will be born during the RP.
RP Sample: "Yes, I would like the drapes to be silver, and please send the request for red roses from Earth. I would like at least three boxes, thank you. The cake needs to be five tiers, you know how she is. Make sure the dessert table is full, and check on the symphony."
Queen Serenity flashed from one servant to another, firing commands and giving instructionse regarding the ball that was to take place in just a few hours. There was so much to do and so little time. She was grateful Sailor Venus had decided to help with the party planning. Heaving a tired sigh, the queen pushed a piece of her bangs out of her face and went to check on her daughter.
The teenage princess's room was not far, and so the queen got there in a short amount of time. She gently knocked on the door, opening it wide enough to poke her head in. "Serenity? Darling, are you in here?"
She heard her daughter's laughter coming from the adjacent bathroom and she smiled. There was never a sound sweeter than Serenity's laugh. Further entering the room, the queen went into the bathroom and smiled to find Sailor Mars brushing through her daughter's hair. Sailor Jupiter was sitting on the long bathroom counter, and Sailor Mercury was leaning against the wall. "Having fun?" the queen asked, startling everyone in the room. The senshi scrambled to compose themselves and bow, which only made the queen smile wider.
"Serenity, I just wanted to tell you that you look beautiful," the queen said. Serenity beamed, looking down at the dress she had received for her birthday. "Thank you all for taking care of her. I will see you at the ball tonight," the queen finished. Without another word, she nodded at the girls and walked back out. Just as she was going to exit, she caught a glimpse of the Earth through Serenity's balcony window. She paused, looking out at the massive planet.
Her fist clenched around her dress. Queen Serenity had heard of the recent rebellions taking place on the Earth, and she knew it was only a matter of time until those rebellions came to where they were directed: the Moon. The queen glanced back at Serenity's bathroom door, where her daughter's laughter was traveling through once more.
She would protect her at all costs. Even if it meant her own life.
