Appearance: While her height is unknown, she stands as tall as Queen Nehalania. She has silverish or white hair done up into two pigtails with buns at the top of each. She has a fair skin tone, and a gold crescent moon in the center of her forehead-often with a single gold chain adorning it, giving her crescent moon the appearance of being part of a tiara. She has silver eyes, and is always seen wearing a pair of gold earrings that a pair of teardrops in each earring, a total of four gold teardrops.

She wears a very simple white ballgown that trails past her feet, with a silkish translucent giant bow in the back of her dress, giving it the appearance that she has a pair of wings. She has a second smaller bow underneath the translucent one. In the front of her dress there is a single white bow with a golden crescent moon in the center, and the top of her dress is adorned with an additional piece of cloth. Sometimes the dress is seen without the giant bow translucent bow.
Personalty: Only seen in a few chapters of the manga and even less in Sailor Moon Crystal; she appears to be very kind and loyal, and loves her daughter and the Sailor Senshi dearly. She also appears as a loving and kind mother, as well as a stern and just yet wise and powerful ruler through a few flashbacks. One thing is certain, above everything else, Queen Serenity is selfless beyond words, having sacrificed herself using the remaining power of the Silver Crystal so that the her daughter Princess Serenity, Prince Endymion, and the Sailor Senshi would be reborn to modern-day Tokyo after the Moon Kingdom fell to Nehalania's curse and Metallia's corrupted Earth army, led by Beryl.
Since there is so little of her personality, I will add in my own personal headcannon. Queen Serenity knows how to present herself in front of her subjects, and is known to fake happiness and a carefree attitude to keep her subjects and daughter calm during times of conflict. She very rarely shows her true emotions during trying times unless she is commanding troops, in which case she can become very stern and commanding when it comes to protecting the Moon and Earth. While there has never been any opportunity to deal with crime on the Moon, she has a very strong stance against it and will deal a swift and just yet harsh and unyielding blow to anyone who dares to break the piece of the society she has created-but these are things the public does not know about her-not even her daughter. She becomes a different person during times of great peril; but never forgets the true purpose of the Silver Millennium -to protect the Silver Crystal and Earth. She rarely lets her emotions shadow her judgement. The only ones who have seen her darker moods are some of the higher ranked Moon Shoulders, and Luna and Artemis.
Friendships and relationships: Quite unknown. In act 46 of the manga, through a flashback, she is seen with the four inner senshi as well as a few subjects during the celebration of Princess Serenity's birth. It is unknown who Princess Serenity's father is. She is seen caring for her subjects and loving her daughter-enough to sacrifice herself so that they would be reborn.
Unique abilities/Special skills: She is able to use the Silver Crystal in it's peak form. During the fall of the Moon Kingdom, she was able to use it to have the souls of the fallen Senshi as well as her daughter and Prince Endymion to earth where they would be reborn at the cost of her life. She was also able to use the crystal to seal Queen Nehalania into her bedroom mirror in the Moon Castle and cast her away. Queen Serenity also appears to know of the talismans dangerous abilities as well as each senshi's own powers-the proof being how she Taught Sailor Pluto, appearing quite young in act 25 of the manga , the three taboos of her powers over time-the most important being to never stop time, otherwise it would cost her her life.
History: It is unknown when Queen Serenity was born and to whom, as it is unknown when her daughter Princess Serenity was born. It is also unknown when the Moon Kingdom was founded or the years it lasted. What is known is that the Moon Kingdom was under her rule and with the power of the Silver Crystal, a long reigned piece known as the Silver Millennium was wrung. The duty of the Moon Kingdom was to protect the Silver Crystal and Earth in unison. At one point before the birth of Princess Serenity, Queen Serenity instructs a young Sailor Pluto how to be a proper guardian of time and warns her the three taboos of time travel. Later, at the time of Princess Serenity's birth, Queen Nehalinia appeared uninvited to the celebration, and Queen Serenity gave her the option of joining the Kingdom if she truly wanted a home, but would stand against her if she were to bring darkness into the kingdom. A battle ensued and ended with Queen Serenity using the Silver Crystal and the Moon Stick to seal her away into her bedroom mirror-but not before she would lay a curse on the kingdom. This curse was that the moon kingdom would fall long before Princess Serenity would rise to the throne. This information became available only to the Senshi during the Black Moon arc of the manga, when Sailor Moons' attack bounced off a mirror, and they were able to see the past as they fell in act 46.
It is unknown how much time had truly passed between the events of Princess Serenity's birth and the fall of the moon kingdom, considering the citizens of the Silver Millennium had longer lifespans due to the power of the Silver Crystal, but at one point a small Princess Serenity runs to her mother crying about a nightmare about the monster in the mirror, and that Venus said that it came out and would eat people. The Queen comforts her and tells her that people both have light and darkness inside their hearts, and that believing in about believing in herself, and always believing in the light within her. This scene appears as a random flashback in act 49 of the manga.
At some point, Metallia came from a solar flare and infected and corrupted the citizens of earth-including Prince Endymion's four main solders, the Shinttouu and a woman in his army known as Beryl. Beryl, with the power of Metallia, convinces all the people of earth except Endymion to start a war with the moon, jealous of the power of the Silver Crystal that protects them. The moon kingdom fell, and Queen Serenity saw Endymion take a killing blow to protect her daughter, and how her daughter committed suicide in despair afterwards. In a moment of anger and grief, she used the power of the Silver Crystal to seal Metallia away-but due to her emotional state of losing her daughter the seal was imperfect, leading to the rise of the Dark Kingdom in present day tokyo. In episode 44 of the first anime, she reveled that after the battle, she used the remaining power of the Silver Crystal to send the souls of the Senshi and the Prince and Princess to earth, along with Luna and Artemis-at the cost of her life.
The Senshi learn of the Moon Kingdom and the Silver Millennium during their trip to the ruins of the Moon Kingdom during act 10 of the manga and episode 44 of the classic anime. She appears to them as a holographic image, and is happy to see the girls again. She presents to them the sword of sealing in the manga and second anime, and in all three adaptations she gives the Senshi words of encouragement and advice for the battle ahead. She also tells her reincarnated daughter to find happiness and to never forget that she is Sailor Moon as the hologram flickers out.It is during this flashback that it is reviled that Queen Serenity was aware of Endymion and Serenity's relationship; though it is unknown how long she knew or how she found out about it.
At the end of the battle with queen beryl and metallia, Usagi uses the Moon Stick and Silver Crystal to teleport to the moon and rebuild the Moon Kingdom, in act 14 of the manga and episode 13 of Sailor Moon Crystal. Once there, before she finds the Crystal Star to replace her first brooch that broke during the battle; she sees a ghostly image of Queen Serenity for the final time, wishing her happiness with her life and love in present day tokyo.
Other Noteworthy facts: In the original designs, the big bow on the back of Queen Serenity's dress were supposed to be a working pair of wings.
RP Sample: Queen serenity hears a small squeak coming from her doorway. Closing her book, she smiles. "Serenity" She coos gently as she stands and walks, her dress waving and billowing as though trying to keep up with her graceful strides. Slowly, she bends down to look the small girl in the eye. My, how quickly she has grown! Her hair and eyes are just so full of hope and light! But the princess is still a child. She begins to hum as she pick up the toddler, and gently bounces the little princess in her arms.
"Mommy's big girl..." She kisses serenity on her forehead, and a small giggle emits from the child. "What are you doing so late at night? Princesses need their sleep, you know."
The little princess sticks out her lower lip in a pout, and shakes her head roughly, her long hair brushing roughly past the Queens face. The queen is taken aback, but laughs. What a sprightly one she is! Queen Serenity sets the little grumbling bundle on her bed and winks.
"Ah, I see. You wish to hear a story, don't you?"
Little Serenity's eyes widen-you can almost see the eagerness in them. She bobs her head rapidly up and down. "Mmm-Hmm!"
Queen Serenity laughs again, and begins to browse her bookcase-pretending she's searching hard for a story to read when in fact there is only one book in the shelf that contains age-appropriate stories. "Lets see now...which story shall I tell you tonight? Ah-ha!" She pulls out a big and regal looking book and turns to her daughter. "Is it this one?"
"No!" She squeals, happy with the game she is now playing. The queen smiles and puts it back, and now pulls out an old and musty looking book that could fall apart at any second. "What about this one?"
"Noooo! The little princess giggles and falls over on the bed, grabbing at her feet. "Tha's not it!"
"Oh my, you're absolutely right, Serenity. This isn't the right book, now is it?" Finally, Queen Serenity grabs a silver looking book, adorned with flowers on the cover. "Ah-ha! Here it is!" She waves the book at her daughter. "Is this the right one?"
"Yeah! Yeah!" Serenity jumps up and down on the bed and then sits down quickly, not moving an inch-eyes glimmering in anticipation for tonight's tale.
The Queen laughs and flips open the book. "I think you'll like this one, Serenity." She clears her throat, and begins. "Once upon a time..."
