Appearance: Makoto is the tallest of the inner senshi, standing at 5’6”. She has long wavy brown hair which she always ties up in a ponytail with a hair tie in the form of two green balls. She also always wears a pair of pink rose earrings, and can most often be seen wearing her unique school uniform that makes her stand out from the rest of the Azabu Jūban Junior High students. Because when she transferred the school didn't have anything in her size, she had to use her old school's uniform. The top is white with brown sailor-style collar and ribbons criscrossing the chest part and the skirt is long and brown. Later, when she becomes a high school student, her uniform becomes the same as Ami, Usagi, and Minako's high school uniforms; white shirt with dark blue collar striped with red, dark blue ribbon on the chest part and dark blue short skirt.
Makoto is also often seen wearing green clothes, mostly with long sleeves and pants. She does, however, like wearing dresses as well especially on formal occasions. On first glance Makoto exudes that tough or delinquent girl stereotype, especially at school, which, coupled with her height, makes people feel scared or intimidated by her. Makoto is also quite busty.
Personality: Makoto is somewhat of an oxymoron. She has both a masculine and a feminine side. She is physically strong and practices martial arts, able to defend herself and fight in hand-to-hand combat very well and has been seen to beat up not only humans but also monsters on occasion with her bare hands. She's also excellent at sports like basketball and ice skating, yet she is also a wonderful cook. She's also great at gardening, arts and crafts, and dancing. Her dream is to get married and own a cake and flower shop; which shows that despite her tomboyishness at first glance, she is in many ways a girly girl at heart.
Makoto has been forced to become self-sufficient and independent when she lost her parents in an airplane crash in a very young age. Before meeting Usagi and the others, Makoto was almost defined by her loneliness. Having no other family members, she seems to have been truly isolated from the world because her classmates seemed afraid of her and she continually got into trouble/fights with other people. Makoto is also a lover and had once been rejected by an older boy that she admired. The broken heart took a while to heal and in the anime she continually developed crushes for many guys whom she claimed reminded her of that first boy.
With her friends, Makoto is fiercely protective and loyal. With Usagi especially, she's the type that can never say no and will always help her friend with anything she asks. In the anime, she often clashes with Minako because they both like to chase after guys. Sometimes she also clashes with Rei because of Usagi. Whenever Rei would chastise Usagi for something or doesn't believe in her, Makoto would be the first to defend Usagi. With Ami, Mako gets along really well, mostly because they both seem to understand each other. Ami is also reliable and loyal, and once when Mako said nobody ever asks her to dance because she's so tall, Ami asks her without hesitation.
As the soldier of thunder and courage, Makoto is brave, strong, and loyal. She does have quite a temper (though this is usually reserved for the bad guys and boys who mess with her) and has been known to impulsively jump into a fight without thinking carefully because she's mostly guided by her emotions. Mako is definitely someone who's ruled by her heart and she has a lot of love to give because despite being alone and left by people all her lives, instead of building up walls to protect herself, she keeps waiting for the friends who will eventually become a part of her life, and she never gives up that hope. Fortunately, she was not disappointed.
Any Unique Abilities/Skills: Makoto's really skilled at cooking and has the ability to create any sort of gourmet food. She always makes her own lunch and wouldn't hesitate to cook for her friends as well, especially Usagi, who loves her cooking most. She is also skilled at ice skating and is surprisingly graceful for someone so strong. Her domestic talents are probably the byproduct of having to live alone. Makoto also can sense changes in the weather and predict incoming storm due to her connection to them. She's naturally quite electrically charged even when untransformed but this seems to get even worse when she's sick.
History: During the Silver Millennium, Makoto was known as Princess Jupiter. She was one of the guardians protecting Princess Serenity. Her castle was called the Io Castle. She was depicted as wearing a green gown while not in her fuku. After the fall of the Moon Kingdom, Jupiter was reborn as Makoto Kino. In a very young age, Makoto lost her parents in an airplane crash. It was not known how or with whom she lived after that, but by the time she was in junior high, she was already living on her own.
She first appeared in the main story as a transfer student joining Usagi and Ami at Azabu Jūban Junior High. In the anime she saved Usagi by beating up a couple of bullies and in the manga she saved Usagi by picking her up to avoid an incoming car. From then she attracted Usagi's attention, especially when she opened her lunch box filled with the delicious things she made herself.
After an encounter with a youma where she got involved in the fight (and in both anime and manga she picked up and threw the monster with bare hands), the Jupiter mark appeared on Makoto's forehead, alerting Luna that she is, in fact, Sailor Jupiter. Luna gave her the transformation pen, she transformed for the first time, and officially joined the Inner Senshi as the fourth guardian.

Storyline Specific Information: Drops of Jupiter: After Crystal Tokyo was built, each senshi began to settle into their happy lives. With the world at peace, there is less work to be done, allowing them to live their dreams and settle down. Usagi was of course the first to birth her foreseen daughter, Chibiusa. The rest of the girls begin to think about their own futures, too, and Mako especially begins to realize she longs for a family of her own. She has opened her bakery and flower shop, and Nephrite, who had been reincarnated by the power of the Silver and Golden Crystal soon after Crystal Tokyo's era began, has been helping her run it. Their relationship started off a bit awkwardly, but soon they settled into the roles of close friends, carefully keeping themselves from stepping over the unseen line. Mako has long forgotten about her past life's involvement with him and sees her only as her best friend ever since he came back into her life. She finds they mesh well, and he's always eager to help out in her shop, so they become fast friends. But is that all they will ever be, or has something else been happening underneath all the platonic gestures all along? As both of them try to figure out what they want for their future, they must decide if they're brave enough to take a leap of faith to get their happy ending.

Senshi Fuku: Sailor Jupiter's main color is green. She retains her rose-shaped earrings even after transforming, as well as her hair tie. Her collar, choker, skirt, brooch, and shoes are green, while both her front and back bow is pink. Her tiara has a green gem. In the manga she wears a belt in the form of a gold chain with pink beads carrying a transparent ball containing rose potpourri.
After being upgraded to Super Sailor Jupiter, her choker gains a yellow star, her brooch becomes heart-shaped, the bottom of her shoulder pad becomes transparent, and her back bow becomes longer and bigger.
Her last upgrade as Eternal Sailor Jupiter gives her a V-shaped choker, her brooch becomes star-shaped, and so does her tiara. Her skirt becomes two layered, the lower part is light green. Her back bow is now light green as well, though the long dangling lower parts of the ribbon are dark green. Her shoulder pads become round light green puffs with green stripes below them. Her gloves are now longer, reaching past her elbows. She has two ribbons - dark and light green - as belts around her waist which meet in the middle and clasped with a yellow star. She now wears white knee length boots with a yellow star on the green V-shaped stripe at the top. She lost her rose earrings; instead they become green and star-shaped.
Powers: - Supreme Thunder: Calling upon the power of Jupiter, she extends the lightning rod in her tiara and uses it to summon lightning which she then sends toward the enemy.
- Supreme Thunder Dragon: A more powerful version of Supreme Thunder where the lightning takes the form of a dragon.
- Super Supreme Thunder: Another more powerful version of Supreme Thunder, used only once.
- Jupiter Thunderbolt: An attack which summons lightning a lot like Supreme Thunder.
- Flower Hurricane: She can summon lots of rose petals in the form of a hurricane and send them toward the enemy to confuse or blind them.
- Sparkling Wide Pressure: She accumulates electricity in her hands before throwing it toward the enemy.
- Jupiter Oak Evolution: She collects energy and spins around, expelling leaf-shaped electrical energy at her enemy.
- Jupiter Coconut Cyclone: Summons a ball of energy in her hands to blast at her enemy.
Weapons or Magical Items: - Transformation pen: Used to transform into Sailor Jupiter. After she threw it away at the end of the first arc to give up all its power to reach Sailor Moon that had been swallowed up by Metalia, she was given a new transformation item.
- Star Power Stick: the next transformation item given by Luna in the Black Moon arc.
- Crystal Change Rod: the transformation item used in the SuperS arc of the anime given by Pegasus, allowing her to transform into Super Sailor Jupiter.
- Jupiter Crystal: the transformation item in the manga to transform into Super Sailor Jupiter, which was given by Guardian Jupiter.
- Rose earrings: Jupiter's earrings can also be used as a projectile when facing an enemy.
- Leaves of Oak: The item needed to perform Jupiter Oak Evolution. Given by Guardian Jupiter. The leaves has a will of its own and can communicate with Jupiter.
- Tiara/Thunder & Lightning Antenna: Sailor Jupiter's tiara can extend and become a gold antenna to call forth lightning. It looks and functions like a lightning rod.

RP Sample: Makoto remembered that rainy day when she stood blushing in front of the boy she had adored for so long, finally building the courage to tell him how she felt. She could recite the exact words he had told her in return: “I’m sorry; I just don’t see you as a girl.”
She recalled vividly how chilly those words made her feel; how the rain water suddenly seemed to seep right into her bones and freeze her inside out. She had spent every waking moment since then trying to prove that she
was a girl. She’d taken cooking classes, learned how to sew, familiarized herself with all types of flowers. Eventually some of these talents became her saving grace when her parents passed away. Because of the skills she had acquired, she could survive on her own without depending on anyone.
But then she grew to love those things as well. She discovered that she had a passion for cooking, and soon took it up as a hobby. It became something she loved, something she enjoyed doing and ended up being excellent at. Then it became her dream; she wanted to open a cake shop someday. Amazing how a simple determination could have spiraled into something else entirely. As Mako continued decorating the chocolate cake she had baked that night, she smiled to herself and thought perhaps she should thank that boy after all for saying those cold, cruel words. After all, he had unlocked her passion, had shown her where her true love lay, and had helped her become such a well-rounded woman with all her talents. If it wasn’t for him, none of this would have happened.
She finished off creating the perfect rose on top of the cake and stepped back to admire her creation in satisfaction. Yes… perhaps she should send him a thank you gift. Something personal and exquisitely delicious.
