A friend told me, that this season is over...i can't believe it...this season was so disappointing :/

The main thing that disappointed me about this season was that it was so darn short. Why?! >.<

If you guys were on MLP forums you Woukd understand why bronies are so critical of it. They think anything new will ruin the show which is stupid but season four will prove differently I'm sure.

Bronies are just jealous of Twi's beautiful wings.

It just seems like they hate alicorns in general, except for Princess Luna.

Aw man i don't see how! Se03 is probably my favorite so far! AJ episode with song...the opener and the finale were great. I actually rather liked the Just For Sidekicks and the Crystal Games one too. Too Many Pinkies, Magical Duel...Keep Calm and Flutter on. D: Whats not to love?

I loveloveloved season 3, i liked it alot better than the previous two! But thats me personally. I liked the storytelling alto better this time around, though i really like the first two seasons occasionally the storytelling is a bit flat for me...

Good start with Crystal Empire, stronger story than Return of Harmony (which had a good story but a little weaker), Return of Harmony's main issue was that it had to fit in all six ponies equally, the only real problem with Crystal Empire was a lack of characterization of the villain which it seems was intended to offer time to Spike and Twilight which of course I feel are more important personally XD Too Make Pinkies. Apple Family Reunion. Keep Calm and Flutter On. *lists all episodes* were amazing

Season 3 is my favorite season as well, regardless of how short it was. I agree with you, Miki, the storytelling for this season was just grand. In the other two seasons, there were a few episodes that fell flat for me, but none of the episodes in this season did. I'm glad that some under-appreciated characters like Applejack and Spike got episodes of their own. And some of the new characters they introduced like Babs Seed and Lighnting Dust were interesting.

I've got the Hub on in the background playing My Little Pony... and they just had a 'Most Interesting Man in the World' commercial parody for My Little Pony. ROFL.

Season 3 was strongest storytelling wise. The only disappointed that it was too short. I would loved to have a Rarity center episode in season 3. Also another AJ episode would have been great! I believe season 4 will have 26 episodes again. So yay!!

Now, I view the episode to be fantastic because I viewed it as a musical instead of a regular old episode. So I thought I share my thoughts on way it's fantastic by writing comments for each song.

1. Morning in Ponyville: This opening song establishes that day the started out like any other day in Ponyville. The morning is beautiful and the ponies are doing their daily routines. Then the song ends with Twilight getting splash by water. As the viewer we expect like Twilight that Rainbow is playing a prank on her however that is not the case because we end up seeing Rarity controlling the weather. This establishes that there is something wrong.

2. What my Cutie Mark is Telling Me: Okay so Twilight goes off to see Rainbow Dash to see why Rarity has Dash's cuite mark. This song establishes that mane 6 (minus Twi) suck at their talents, but they know have no choice, but to do the jobs they were given. Also the viewer can tell that they have no memories of having different cutie marks. This song really does a good job establishing the problem. There is no need to slow things down here to show each of the girl's sucking at their jobs. By the way this my favorite song in the episode. It's so damn catchy >.<

3. I've Got to Find A Way: This song establishes that Twilight can't believe that the spell she cast has screw up her friends' lives. She's lost and confused. It's a nice soft song and shows Twilight's pain. There really is no need to have Twilight mope round before she does anything to help her friends. Is it me or does song reminds you of a pop song?

4. A True, True Friend: God this song is catchy. Anyway this song establishes that Twilight's plan to have her friends realize their true talents work. Most can argue that Twilight usually has to go through trail and error before she finds solution. However since this is a musical there is no need for Twilight to go through trial and error. Also the solution is kind of obvious. Back to the song the montages throughout the song is awesome. My favorite part when AJ shows Pinkie that she needs to make the townfolk smile. When Pinkie gets her memories back and says tells everypony that she wants to see them smile and the town screams out her name, I get chocked up. I have no idea way I just to do. One more thing this song is the reason why I am glad it's a musical. If it wasn't it would have gotten old to watch Twilight go to friends to remind them of their talents one by one. The song has nice fast pace to keep Twilight's plan fresh.

5. Celestia's Ballad: Oh, god Celesita gets to sing. How awesome is that? Anyway, it's nice soft song that establishes Twilight's growth as a character. Also this song is beautiful animated. Anyway it's great that Celesita and Twi walk past clips from past episode. If this wasn't a musical we may have gotten flashbacks. My only nipick here is how did Celesita gets clips of Twilight thinking of getting sent back to magic kindergarten and her flashback of remembering Cadence as her foul sitter? Oh, plot holes.

6. Behold, Princess Twilight Sparkle: Haha there isn't much I can say about this song. It has a churchy feel to it and I like it. This song establishes yeah that's right Twilight is a princess now!

7. Life In Equestria: A nice song to close up the episode. It establishes that no matter what that life in Equestria is great and that no matter what occurs everything will be fine. I wish it was little bit longer though.

So all the songs flow perfectly with each other and things don't feel too rush anymore. It's great to finally see Twilight's growth as a character as come to end (unless they have something in store for her still.). Now we can see the other members of mane 6 finish their growth as characters.

Now, the only episode that feel like fell flat was the episode in Crystal Empire for Ponies Games. The episode had some good moments, but out all of the episodes of season 3 I felt like it had the weakest storytelling. It felt too predictable.

The lack of Rarity in season 3 apparently was because there was a late change in writing, in "Spike, At Your Service" it was originally a Spike-and-Rarity episode but apparently the writing didn't work out well so they switched to Applejack.

and season 4 is a confirmed 26 episodes so i'm sure we'll get an episode about her!

Yay! I'm so happy that season 4 will have 26 episodes! ^^ I really hope to see more AJ and Rarity episodes.

I think the lack of AJ may becasus she might be harder to write for, of the six mane characters I consider her to have the least flaws. She's a little too understanding to learn too many lessons about things... her stubbornness seems to be the main focus (Applebuck Season, The Last Round Up, Apple Family Reunion)... and unlike Fluttershy she's not ridiculously nice, unlike others like Pinkie, Rainbow, Rarity or Twilight... hm...

I guess its just hard to write conflict for Applejack without breaking the "lesson-teaching" style of the show

Yes, she is the hardest to write. The video link gave in my big post the person talking has talked about AJ's episodes and mentioned the very same thing.

oh i remember brit showing me this a while back. I had to watch it three times because the first time i couldn't help but only pay attention to the pony's facial expression XD This was a really good video. I didn't hear the AJ thing though which video? I'm happy someone agrees with meee yay

:/ i'm sorry, but i had so much expectations this season, and then the 2 first episodes i was "...seriously?" even my fellow bronie friend felt disappointed (and he still is, he didn't liked either this season), it thought i was the only one who thought that ( i still do tho xD). i'm gonna finish this season so i can know who it ended up (i had spoilers tho, facebook is to blame)...

btw, did you knew there's an app similar to Farmville but with MLP? i playing it, it's pretty entertaining =)

There were meh episodes in seasons 1 and 2. If season 3 was given more episodes everything would have balanced out.

Every show has their "meh" episodes =p

I dunno for me I liked this season MUCH better than season 1 and 2, im rewatching season 1 right now and i still greatly prefer 3. but i think its just up to personal taste

Don't get me wrong, I love all these episodes and there hasn't been an episode to date I haven't enjoyed. Just these ones less so. But none of the season 3 episodes are in that list that's why i pick it as the best for me. I think for season three the worst overall was "Games Ponies Play" or possibly "Spike At Your Service"

My least favorite episode out all of the series is the first episode Trixie appeared in. Ugh, that was episode so meh.

I actually like Maredo Well episode. I think I'm the only person who really enjoyed it. I like the idea of superhero pony.

Games Ponies Play was meh to me too, but it's wasn't as meh as that Trixie episode (the first one she appeared in). The plot was so predicable. As for Spike At Your Service it was okay. I loved seeing the pets again and Dash's moments with Tank. <3

I liked Trixie herself but I agree that episode wasn't the best =\ I liked Magic Duel Muuuuuch better. I dont get the Trixie hype though XD

don't know why I just didnt really click with that episode. I think it might because of the superhero references just whizzing over my head XD i didnt really pick up on it, its hard for me to relate i guess?

I thinkyoure mixing Spike At Your Service up with Just For Sidekicks >..> I really liked Just For Sidekicks XD

OPPS XD I keep forgetting there were two Spike theme episodes.

As for Maredo Well. There were no superhero references. I just like the idea having a pony dressing up as a superhero.
