so, i made something for my tumblr today and i decided to try something new, so i used some patterns, something i had never done before. it took me a while to even discover how to use it, but this is the result!


now i want critiques on what i can improve!

i used a few patterns and some brushes too.

I honestly don't have much advice to give, but I'm noticing that the girls look kind of blurry, so you may want to use a bit less of gaussian blur (or any other type of blur, actually). And low the brightness/contrast opacity just a little ^^

Mako this is really, really good! the mixture of brush and patters are PERFECT, you really did a good job here!

About the image, they kind of look blurry, so a adding sharpen here would be a good choice..

About the font, the tiny fonts also look a bit blurry, so check the tips Mercury added on this post.

Wow! For a first time work with patterns it's amazing. Love the colors and the patterns you used!

Very nice! I'm comparing the first version to this current version and I can see the tweaks. I think the background just needs to be a tad darker so the girls can pop out more. They girls and the background still compete with each other a bit. Also 'Inner Senshi' looks a bit fogged out a bit except for the 'en' part. I think that should be popping out along with the girls.

Again I love the colors and the patterns in the background. It's absolutely stunning!

idk, maybe it's because since i've been photoshopping for the past 8 years and i know my way around the clone stamp (though, never using the pattern tool), it was easier. or maybe because i can create most of my bgs using brushes and effects only, so i know the right usage of things. but mostly i just try my luck and if it doesn't work, restart. =)

Uhhhhh~ i love how clean it looks!!
I'm not convinced about the texture tho, and the tiny fonts, i can barely read them D:
i would suggest "Ernest" as tiny font
