Physical Description (include clothing generally worn): Ami typically dresses in feminine styles that include dresses and skirts. She rarely wears pants, although she sometimes wears shorts. She tends to favor long-sleeved blouses, sweaters, cardigans, and dresses in a variety of brighter colors. Although she owns a pair of glasses, she rarely wears them except for when reading. Ami wears simplistic matching accessories, which rarely includes more than a necklace and earrings. Her shoes are also not fancy. She prefers oxfords and low flats. When swimming Ami wears one-piece swimsuits.
Her school uniform consists of a knee-length blue, pleated skirt. Her blouse is white with blue and white trim on the sleeves. The sailor color is blue with white trim, which matches the same color scheme as the rest of her school uniform. In the middle of her blouse is a large, red bow. This outfit is completed with white socks and black flats.
Personality: Ami possesses great intellect and analytical skills, which often put her at odds with other students in her school. As a consequence, she has often been shunned and labeled as an outcast. Ami withdrew herself into her studies in response to this treatment, which further damaged her reputation and caused her to be labeled as a stuck-up ice-queen. She has high ambitions to become a great doctor, just like her mother. Every day is dedicated towards accomplishing that goal with the highest of honors. Her relationship with her mother is strained, but only due to absence.
Ami's mother is a single parent, who is very dedicated to her position as a reputable doctor. She works long hours and, unfortunately, is unable to see Ami as often as either would like. Ami's mother is not aware that her daughter is Sailor Mercury. Ami does not want to see her mother threatened by her daughter's position as a sailor senshi. Before she met her dearest friends, the sailor senshi, Ami often enjoyed her time studying or swimming, which helped to ease her troubles, fears, and insecurities. She also enjoys romance novels and pop culture.
Usagi and the other sailor senshi have helped Ami to open up to new opportunities and friendships. Although she is still very serious about her academic career, she can now find the time to enjoy herself and have fun with her friends. The sailor senshi are very dear to her heart and she would do anything for them, even sacrifice her future goals and ambitions. She has truly found her soul mates in these girls. As Sailor Mercury, she is the 'brains' of the team. She creates and develops their plans and attack strategies. Although she is not an offensive member, Sailor Mercury will analyze the enemy and determine the best strategy to defeat the enemy. Her level-headness and quick thinking has saved the sailor senshi from many a perilous situation.
Any Unique Abilities/Skills: Ami is highly intelligent and possesses great analytical skills. She is also a talented swimmer and has a special relationship with water and ice.
History: Ami's family has suffered a divorce, which resulted in Ami's mother being her full-time caretaker and parent. Saeko, Ami's mother, is a dedicated doctor who works very hard in order to raise and care for her daughter. Her father is largely absent from her life, but she does have many fond memories of him. Every now and then she is able to visit him, but he is very distracted by his career as an artists. As a result, Ami has spent the majority of her life alone with very few friends. At a young age Ami showed her high intellect and quickly surpassed her peers, who resented Ami for her talents and skills.
Ami continued to excel in her studies and passions. Her peers continued to shun her, even as she grew older. Once she entered middle school, she gained a friend in Tsukino Usagi. Although Ami was surprised by the other girl's interest, Ami did not force Usagi away. She discovered her responsibilities and powers as Sailor Mercury during an unfortunate youma attack at her cram school. Sailor Mercury was Sailor Moon's first team mate and helped her princess find the rest of her entourage. They have since become the best of friends.

Senshi Name: Sailor Mercury
Senshi Fuku: Sailor Mercury's basic senshi fuku includes a metallic tiara with a blue stone in the center. Around her neck is a blue choker, which matches the basic color of her fuku. Sailor Mercury wears a white leotard, which has a collar. The blue collar has white pipping. A lighter blue bow is in the center of Sailor Mercury's chest and is held by a blue brooch. Around her waist is a matching, pleated blue skirt, which has a bow on the back. Sailor Mercury wears elbow-length white gloves with blue trim in addition to knee-length blue boots. Often, her outfit is also equipped with the Mercury Goggles, which will be further described below. In future upgrades, the back bow of Sailor Mercury's fuku increases in length.

Powers: Mercury Aqua Mist - This attack produces a thick fog, which only the sailor senshi can see clearly through.
Shine Aqua Illusion - This attack is offensive and uses a water blast that douses or freezes the enemy.
Shine Snow Illusion - This attack produces a snowy smoke screen.
Mercury Aqua Rhapsody - One of Sailor Mercury's most powerful attacks. She shoots a powerful blast of water at the enemy.
Mercury Aqua Mirage - This attack traps the enemy in a globe of water, which bursts and harms the enemy.
Weapons or Magical Items: Hand-Held Mercury Super Computer - The computer is light blue and compact, so that it may be held in the palm of one's hand. The symbol of Mercury is imprinted on the top of the computer. The device flips open to reveal several rows of keys and a screen. This computer is often paired with blue-tinted goggles, on which information is sometimes displayed. This computer is very advanced.
Mercury Goggles - The blue-tinted goggles that are often paired with the Mercury Super Computer. The information is sometimes visually displayed on the goggles.
Communication Devices - Sailor Mercury has been given several communication devices. Her current communication device is a blue and gold wristwatch. The Mercury planetary symbol is imprinted on the inside of the watch, which flips open to reveal a screen/video component.
Henshin Pen - The first transformation device that Sailor Mercury received from Luna. The bottom of the pen is solid blue while the cap is gold. The planetary symbol of Mercury is on the top of the cap and is framed by a circular piece of gold. Yes, it does also function as a writing device. The second transformation device that Sailor Mercury received from Luna and Artemis is the Star Power Stick. The bottom of the stick is a light blue while the top has a prominent gold star. In the middle of the star is a circular, blue emblem that display the Mercury planetary symbol in gold.

Something simply was not right and, usually, Ami trusted her intuition for a cursory examination of a problem. Of course, intuition could only be trusted so far. Emotions could affect her intuition. Cautiously, Ami stepped forward and placed her hand along the wall. It did not appear that anyone was nearby, so it would likely be safe to transform into Sailor Mercury. As Sailor Mercury, she could use her Mercury Computer to get a handle on the situation and better decide what to do next.
Before she could transform, Ami heard a voice call for help. The call echoed several times, allowing Ami to process what she heard. "Hotaru?" She questioned quietly. Oh, what a relief! Louder, she called again, "Hotaru!" While waiting for a response, Ami pulled out her henshin pen and transformed into Sailor Mercury. It was bet to be prepared, especially when in a strange place in an unidentified situation.
