Used Canons: In this character profile I shall be using Manga, Anime and Live Action (PGSM) (only looks, appearance and personality for the live action due to possible confusion and confliction of history) to form my version of Sailor Mercury/ Ami Mizuno.
 
Physical Description (include clothing generally worn): When posing as a civilian, Ami generally wears her school uniform which consists of a deep blue sailor collar, cuffs and skirt. Her school uniform also has a bow which is royal red and a shirt which is cloud white.

Ami is what some people call a ‘bluenette’. This means that she has blue hair! Her hair is relatively short and reaches down to her shoulders. Her eyes are a deep blue. Almost like the ocean, or ice. Ami stands at 5ft2. At times, she also wears reading glasses. However she wears them for the looks, not because she needs them.

When not in her school uniform, Ami tends to wear clothes that aren’t revealing. For example, a patterned shirt, suffocated by a jumper that generally takes a pastel colour (Light green, light blue etc.). For the bottom half, she would wear something like a tartan skirt of knee length; paired up with close-to-opaque tights. To finish up the look she would wear a pair of plain pumps. Normally in basic colours.

Personality: When posing as a civilian, Ami is a rather shy girl which likes to keep herself to herself. She has said that she has no interest in love but sometimes confesses to the cheeky little crush here and there. Which she demonstrates when the three lights appear and she fangirls over them and blushes in embarrassment afterwards. She prefers to stick to her studies and aspires to follow in her mother's footsteps and work hard to achieve it. She has built a very strong relationship with the senshi which she shows when she refuses to go to Germany and study to become a doctor in thought of being away from them. Or when she continues to believe in their friendship, even after everyone seems to be slipping apart. She confirms this by knitting mittens for them all.
 
Eventually, Ami becomes a doctor – just like her mother – but not just any doctor, the world’s youngest!

Ami enjoys swimming. We can see this when she participates in a cheeky little swim race with Michiru. She also has a secret love of romance novels and pop culture. Not forgetting her love of the extremely strategic game – chess!
 
She tends to upset pretty easily but will quickly get over it and fight back. She is described as the brains of the group and the soldier of water and wisdom which definitely influences her IQ of 300 in the present life. She is always at the top of her classes and is sometimes viewed as a 'snob' for her talents which will upset her but will recover with the company and help of her friends.
 
Any Unique Abilities/Skills: Ami possesses an IQ of 300 which means that she is constantly top at everything and can almost instantly solve any problem.
 
History: When first introduced Ami is a technical wiz who has no friends. She is always at the top of the class and sometimes teased for it. She is revealed as a senshi when her after-school computer classes are taken over by the Dark Kingdom to retrieve the energy of the smart students. A disc that her 'teacher' has given her to study will brainwash her but due to her IQ she somehow figures this out and avoids the disc. Using the power of Mercury that is deep down and asleep inside her body she unknowingly resists looking at the screen despite her head being shoved up against it. As this is happening the symbol of Mercury appears on her head and releases a small burst of energy causing the youma to back away. From then on she has her secret identity of Sailor Mercury and uses it wisely.
 
After the rest of the inner senshi had been discovered Ami had already improved her skills immensely moving on from a defensive shabon spray to an offensive shabon spray freezing.
 
When Ami was much younger her father upped his sticks and left her and her mother to fend for themselves which wasn't too hard considering that her mother is a highly respected and well paid doctor. Her mother always believed in her whereas her father did not. Hence limited contact between father and daughter as the story continues. She was always an isolated girl who found it hard to befriend people generally leaving her lonely in school. But, when she transferred to Azabu Juuban school, Usagi burst in and turned things around. She was always with Usagi and eventually Makoto in school. She had Minako and Rei as well outside of school making a grand total of 4. She also developed friendships with Mamoru and the outer senshi. Not forgetting Chibiusa who was viewed as a daughter to all of the senshi not just Usagi.

Senshi Name: Sailor Mercury
 
Senshi Fuku: Her dominant colour is blue (tiara gem, earrings, choker, collar, center of front bow, elbow fittings of gloves, skirt, and boots) and her accent/secondary colour is light blue (bows). Her earrings are small blue studs, her collar has three white stripes, and her boots were the same knee-high style as Sailor Moon's, but in a blue colour and without any symbol attached to them.
 
Henshin/Transformation: Mercury Power, Make Up! / Mercury Star Power, Make Up! / Mercury Crystal Power, Make Up!
 
Powers:
 
Shabon Spray: Mercury produces a thick fog to safeguard herself and her fellow senshi, however blinding the opponent, giving the senshi time to talk tactics. This does not harm enemies.
 
Shabon Spray Freezing: Mercury produces a thick fog that does the same as the weaker version, however this time it can harm or freeze the enemies.
 
Shine Aqua Illusion: She fires a blast of water that harms the enemy.
 
Mercury Aqua Rhapsody: A harp of water materialises, which Mercury plays. This fires water blasts at the enemy.
 
Mercury Aqua Mirage: The enemy is engulfed in a globe of water, which subsequently destroys them.
 
Shine Snow Illusion: Creates a snow storm to harm enemies.
 
Weapons or Magical Items:
 
Water Lyre: Used when performing Mercury Aqua Rhapsody.
 
Water Sword: A sword that can be used for offense and defence.
 
Communicator: A watch used to communicate with the rest of the senshi.
 
Compact Supercomputer: A computer received from Luna. She can use this to scan her surroundings and analyse data, often proving very useful in battle.

Mercury Goggle: A transparent blue visor that slides over her eyes, when her right earring is pressed. Can be used the same way as her supercomputer.
 
Transformation Pen: Used to transform into her senshi form. Also to call upon her powers.
 
Mercury Crystal: Can be used in the same way as her transformation pen.

Guardian: She does have a guardian (Guardian Mercury) back in her castle on Mercury. She received her Mercury crystal power-up, resulting in a major boost of power, from her Guardian. She also directs Princess Mercury in asking Mariner Castle for power.

The transformation was complete; it was time to destroy this youma. Firstly, Ami – now Sailor Mercury – tapped her right earring, activating her visor. She carefully analysed the enemy from afar and tried to detect its weaknesses.
 
No… That won’t work! How about this… no. Ahh! I know! If I just do this, and then that. I could use the ferris wheel. Or the car…? The wheel is probably the best bet.
 
“WEAKNESS FOUND” her visor flashed.
 
 It was time.

Looking good! Just a couple things: Could you describe Ami’s appearance other than her clothes a little bit? For example hair, eyes, and height?

Also, a small question: Are you using the manga and anime histories for this profile? In those adaptions Ami’s father did send her postcards, but no other form of contact was shown, so I was wondering if the part about her father in the history is your personal headcanon.
