Okay, I definitely agree with what a lot of you are saying about HarukaxMichiru. Like, they're great and all, but sometimes I feel like people like them just because they're two girls. Also, I can't stand how the fandom world quotes two or three quotes over and over again like they're something new and Sailor Moon hasn't been around for 20 years (for example, the whole: "I never listen to that kind of talk outside a bed" quote). It's a little annoying.

Okay, unpopular anime opinions.

I think Jupiter got enough screen time. People tend to say she was so overlooked in the anime, but I think she got just as much attention as the other inners (besides MAYBE Minako). The reason people say that, I think, is the fact that they didn't show us much about her home life in the anime. I have no idea. But I mean, come on, people say JUPITER didn't get enough screen time? What about Pluto? I think Pluto might have gotten even less screen time than Saturn, and no one ever complains about her -.- I know that's part of her character, but still.

One thing that really bothers me is how the same ending is repeated like over and over again in each arc. It's very predictable. Sailor Moon is put into a situation that seems completely impossible, so she goes ahead and sacrifices herself and everyone gets all freaked out about it but then... *surprise!* Because of her selflessness, everything just happens to be fixed all of a sudden!!! Woopdie-doo!!! It happens more than once and it makes me mad every time :p I love having that theme in the anime and I think it's great because it shows how a crybaby can become a "savior" in a sense, but I wish they would have only done it once :p

I'm sure there are many, many more that I can't think of, but rest assured I'll be back to complain about them

~ I'm with Brit on loving Chibiusa and the SuperS season.
~ I love Mamoru in all variations of Sailor Moon (though some portrayals are better than others).
~ I like Stars because it gives Usagi probably the biggest challenges she'd ever face
~ I'm also with Brit on the anime being the least favorite. I love the anime, yes, but it would be last if I had to list it out, too.

A comment on the HaruMichi -- I love them. I do. Part of it is that they're girls. But most of it is the fact that it's a different, not really touched upon, seemingly deep relationship between the two. They honestly revolve around each other and need each other to be their absolute best. Take one away and you've literally taken away half of a whole. I like that. Yes, some people can be rather annoying with them, but anybody can be super annoying with any pairing. I've ran into people very annoying about UsaMamo. I've ran into people who obsess over their otps of entirely different series that are super annoying. It just depends on the people. And if you're possibly thinking of tumblr on that one, well, a ton of people on that site honestly need to be committed.

Just my two cents; we can totally debate them though in my area if anyone is up for it ^^ since this is not the place for such a discussion. Just lemme know and I'll start a thread.

I have another big one - IMO, Hotaru should stay with her father, instead of being taken by Outers.

I DON'T LIKE THE OUTER SENSHI. There, I said it.

I especially dislike Uranus and Neptune, though if I had to choose a favorite outer senshi, it would be Haruka. go figure.

I also like the break-up arc, it made me cry a lot.

I hated the S stage. And so far, I'm liking the SuperS. Also, I'm starting to like Chibiusa (it only took me 3 seasons, plus the manga to do so).

I liked that the Kou brothers had to transform into women in the anime just so that they could become powerful. But I'm still watching SuperS, so...

Unpopular opinion : I don't really like Michiru. Idk she seems kind of like she's just there & there's no depth or anything.

Yeah, I like the fact the Starlights had to transform into women in order to fight.

I don't really like Michiru better. I prefer Haruka and Setsuna for the outers. Michi comes across as a spoiled cold brat sometimes.

I didn't know some of these opinions were even unpopular until I read this thread.

Crystal Tokyo: Never cared for it. I just remember it being blah and forgettable for me. Maybe if they showed us more of the city on an average day I'd be more fond of it (but obviously during the R season that wasn't going to happen) so it was just something that never stuck with me. I preferred things stayed in the 20th Century.

Chibiusa: This poor girl can't seem to catch a break can she? (outside this thread anyway) I thought it was just UsagixSeiya shippers that didn't like her at first but now I'm seeing people who actually like having her parents together hate on her. She just can't win. Well, I always liked her. From falling down the sky and pointing a gun at her mom's head to coming back as a Sailor Soldier and having the worst wand ever (which if I didn't know better was future Usagi's way of getting back at her for all the times she got between her and Mamoru). I also always wanted to know what she'd be like grown up too. As in official grown up. Not magical powers made me older grown up. I realize that may create a conflict of interests seeing my above feelings on Crystal Tokyo, which would no doubt be the setting for Chibiusa all grown up, but maybe the scenario would make me better appreciate her home. I don't know. I think my curiosity to see her all grown up outweighs my general indifference of Crystal Tokyo.

The Break Up: This was unpopular? Honestly, this was one of the things that kept me coming back for the R season and I say this as a person who was indifferent at Usagi and Mamoru's relationship. I don't know how different the translation is between sub and dub for this season (I never watched all of R subbed) but Mamoru brought up a good point when Usagi talked about how they were destined to be together. "Why does everything have to be about the past?" That's a legit question, why does it? The past is the past. It shouldn't have any bearing on the future. If that's your only reason for being together then there's a problem. It's a legitimate reason to break up with somebody. I know that's not the reason he did do it but it's a legitimate reason nonetheless. Don't get me wrong I felt bad for Usagi and everything, breakups suck but it's a part of life. The buildup and tension during all of that was great too. Seeing them still have to fight side by side despite it all. I mean, could you imagine having to work with your ex? I couldn't. It would drive me crazy. I would be sitting at the fridge stuffing my face prompting my alien cat to go speak with my ex.

Tuxedo's Speeches: I'm glad I'm not the only one who liked these. For a while I did wonder why that was all he did and he didn't help out with actual fighting more, but lately I came to realize that that would have ruined the point of female warriors fighting for themselves. So putting him in the role of "motivational speaker" with the rose instead works and I can better appreciate his overall role in that, and to be fair he did get involve with the actual fighting from time to time. I wouldn't be surprise to find out he held a career in motivational speaking at some point in life, he's good at it. Look at all the baddies he encouraged Sailor Moon to wipe out.

The Outer Sols Screen Time: A common complaint I see is that the Outer Sols didn't have enough screen time, and while I did miss their presence in SuperS I think their lack of onscreen appearances when compared to the Inners is part of what makes them so popular. I can't speak for others but during S it was always suspenseful for me to watch through it just waiting for the parts where Uranus and Neptune would appear. Whether it was in their civilian form and later their Senshi form. And since we didn't see characters like Pluto and Saturn as often as the others I think it made us appreciate the times we did see them, and as a result they stuck out more to us watching the show. The Inners are great too but if they're always around, like most things, you tend to take them a little for granted. While the others that aren't there all the time, you know, you appreciate them a little more because they aren't always there. I think if the Outers had the same amount of screen time as the Inners it wouldn't have been the same. So I don't know, the more I think about it the more I think maybe it was a good thing they weren't included in SuperS, I'm mixed on that but if they were I wouldn't have wanted their screen time to be too increased from the norm.

Ali and Ann: I'm not 100% certain if this is an unpopular opinion, but I always liked them at the beginning of season two. How they integrated into Usagi's school and interacted with the main characters in civilian forms were a nice break from the norm and Ali and Ann's crushes on Usagi and Mamoru respectively were cute. I still get chuckles whenever I watch the scene where Ann rigged the strings to make sure she was Juliet in the play Mamoru were performing just so she got the chance to kiss him.

And now that I got all of that out in the open, I must go into hiding. Farewell! *bolts Tuxedo Kamen style*

Even though I can relate to the Inner senshi a lot.. I dont like them as much as the Outers. The only one I like is Ami and that has only been recently. But I just cant seem to connect with Rei, Minako, or Makoto :/

I'm also a fond of Tuxedo Kamen speeches I never thought they were corny at all they were very enjoyable to listen <3

Man, first season Ami was pretty bad whenever she was out of school uniform... in the later seasons, all I can think is that the only thing that saves her closet is the fact that she has the other Senshi to go shopping with, now.

There is some pretty terrible outfits in the anime XD Though there are some I really like too... I guess its give and take. Its just Mamoru's exercise clothes I really can't stand XD

Hehe that made me laugh I loved how in the later anime episodes ami gets a mullet xD I much prefer her more Marlyn styled wig in PGSM.

oooh, I think there are a lot of unpopular opinions of mine.

-Not only do I like Chibiusa, but I also loved "Rini" in the english dub

-I like Serena's voice in the english dub

-THe idea that NQS ruled the entire world and "cleansed" everyone seems wrong to me. Also exiling people to another planet - very wrong. THis sounds like a crazy dictatorship to me

-I feel that some people only love HaruxMichi because they are lesbians. Otherwise their relationship is blah to me

-I often wished that Usagi would just *once* get angry and hurt a villain more than she had to

haha I didn't like her overalls either! and then to make it worst they always paired it with a shade did of blue that did not go with the overalls at all

I do agree with Houyou as I also like them togehter but they don't take the show focus from where it should be actually. (and I can never imagine them apart. I always cringe when people put them with guys.) Though, it can be said for any other Yuri pairing too. This one just has a lot more canon evidence in it.

But I figured, at least to me, that because they're not the focus of the show (cause, the miracle romance is Usagi/Mamoru and later Chibiusa/Helios(somewhat). ) that there's no need for them to do so- though I always felt that Naru and Nephrite did that in the first season along with Zoisite and Kunzite.

I laways felt their relaitonship was natural and that it came with them living together 24/7 and always pretty much being around each other acting a lot like a couple. Vs Usagi/Mamoru having to come together and not be around each other as much as Michiru/Haruka are.

Even though in the manga all the Outers have their own places, Michiru and Haruka seem to always be together there too.

I restate it- Chibiusa has the best wardrobe out of everyone. Literally. (except the princess dress.) Her outfits are always cute, always fashionable and pretty much timeless.

Also, I miss Usagi's and Minako's first set of friends. (Kuri, Yuri and Hikaru) ;n; whatever happened to them?
