The other Admins and I have been planning over the last few weeks a wonderful new contest for you all. I've seen some increase in activity in the Otaku Senshi section, and I'd love to get all of our members involved in getting their creative juice flowing and contributing to the Sailor Moon universe! With that, I bring to you our first contest, the Otaku Senshi Contest.

The contest is pretty simple. I'm asking everyone who want's to participate to create a completely original Otaku Senshi! You may use an Otaku that you've previously submitted to the Otaku Section, or create a brand new one! It's entirely up to you! As such there are a few forms and a few rules we all need to abide by in this contest.

RULES
1. All Submissions must be PMed to me (Sailor Mars) with the title "Otaku Senshi Contest" so that I know this is an entry for the contest. For the sake of creative privacy we ask that you do not post you entry here or in the Forum. Please send all submissions to myself.
2. Senshi cannot be cannon: No Jupiter, Venus, Mars, Mercury, Moon, etc. in any form (Super Ultimate Extra Sparkly Neo Jupiter... No.)
3. Civilian form cannot be a cannon character: No Molly, Melvin, etc.
4. May be a male that transforms into a Senshi. (Yeah, I'm ok with Tranny scouts)
5. Any Senshi created in the Doll Maker must seem feasible and not look like you hit the "Random Scout" button. And trust me, I know what those "Random Scouts" look like!
6. Be creative!
7. Have fun!

Now, there are two versions of entry. You may fill out the Basic Profile for entry, but that must be accompanied with an image of some kind of your Senshi in scout form. These can either be hand drawn images, sprites, or even creations from the Senshi Maker. However, if you feel that writing is more your forte, you are more than welcome to complete the Extended Profile in leu of your image submissions. This is not to say that you cannot do the Extended Profile and and image, but you must submit the Basic Profile at the very least. We will judge each entry equally, regardless of quality of art or writing, but please make the image/writing as clear as possible so that we can judge appropriately.

Speaking of judging... here are our Guidelines for Judging.

Creativity - Does your Senshi look like you put thought into her, or is she a rushed job that was slapped together?
Originality - Is your Senshi original, or does she seem like a Senshi we've seen done 100 times before?
Depth - Does your Senshi seem realistic? Does she seem believable or is she just another overpowered, pretty face?
and Clarity - This is a minor category, but I want to know that you're submitting your best work. I dont want to get through an bio and find the image is of someone else, or that you spend 10 lines referring to your Senshi as "Pretty Muffin Gal" and then suddenly I'm reading about "Lollipop Island Guard."

The Judges will be myself and fellow administrators. There is an odd number of judges so a tie should not happen. We will be impartial in our judging, so buttering us up with flowers and candies and puppies wont help. But you probably want to know what you're working for, huh? What are those shiny, shiny prizes? Well, Vana tell them what they're all fighting for.

Prizes
First Place: A Permanent spot in Sailor Mars' comic: Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon O (comes with a complete sprite sheet).
Second Place: A guest spot appearance in Sailor Mars' comic: Sailor: Moon: Enuma Elish (comes with a basic sprite sheet).
Third Place: An avatar or signature created by either Galaxia or Sailor Mercury, or a manga image colored by Galaxia. (This prize is up to the third place winners choice, but you only get one of the three.)

Following the end of the contest all submissions will be added to the Otaku Senshi forum as well as the winners announced. Start your engines, and may the best woman, win! (A little RuPaul's Drag Race for ya).

I'm assuming Realm Influence is the planet they protect? Does it have to be a planet? For my Soilder I'm considering doing something a little bit different.

I consider Realm of Influence to be what they have power over. For example, Mercury would be Ice/Water, Venus would be Love, Mars would be Fire, etc. but you might also put in the planet they protect as well.

What does Relation to Present refer to?

How has she arrived currently to the present? Is she a reincarnation of a past self (like all the Senshi) or is she a visitor from the future (like Chibi-Usa and Diana)? Was she born in this time and is being called upon for the first time? Did she perhaps come from another galaxy to protect Earth and the Sol System? etc.

Um..Could you also tell me what Power Color, Transformation, and Outfit refer to? I think this is all I need explaining, I tried to look over all of the requirements to see what I need help on..And I think those are it.

Power color would refer to what color they or their symbol would glow in times of need. Sailor Moon was Pink, Mars red, Neptune sea-green, Saturn purple, etc.

Transformation is what do they call out to transform and what does it look like? Do they use a Henshin stick, a lip rod, a brooch, or some other item to transform? Think of this one as if you were animating their transformation sequence... what would it look like?

Outfit: What does their sailor fuku look like? What are the colors and style? Is it a basic fuku, a super fuku, or something else entirely?
