| In the pre-wiki and pre-forum days, there were a lot of Sailor Moon shrines and websites. Some of them were good, some of them contained misinformation, and some of them have stood the test of time and still exist. Sailor Moon was one of the things I first googled. I was so new to computers that when only 10 pages popped up, I was dismayed. "I have to make these ten websites last the rest of my life?" I swore I would; I got through all of them in about three days. And then I found the "next" button at the bottom of the page... What are some of your favorite websites from the old days? Here are a few of mine: In Defense of SuperS - A website responding to certain criticisms of SuperS. (I can't remember the name of this website, so I couldn't find the link.) - A controversial website created by somebody that really disliked Sailor Mercury. It featured separate episodes of Sailor Mercury battling different Senshi in a combat arena and losing horribly. Considering Sailor Mercury is one of my favorite Senshi, I'm really surprised I liked this website. (Then again, whenever I did visit, I would re-read the two fights were Sailor Mercury won. XD) I can't remember the name of this website, either, but it had a Sailor Moon/Jurassic Park crossover fanfic and it was amazing. Focus: Yuuichirou and Rei A cute shrine, one of the few couple's shrines I still remember. The Sailormars Shrine On Wayback Machine. The SM Zone On Wayback Machine. The Sailor Mars Zone... It's surprising how many Sailor Mars websites I find nostalgic. XD Unfortunately, a lot of the images aren't showing up on Wayback Machine. Icesenshi's Lake of Illusions On Wayback Machine. It also has a page dedicated to Michiru, but what I remember it for is Sailor Mercury. This website was really good- wonderful articles, nice graphics, nice fanfiction... This was the best of the 5 websites I've linked. I could probably spend hours finding more old Sailor Moon websites, but I think 5 (+2 unlinked websites) is enough to start out with. - Moderator wrote:
- As a side note, you can head over to our main Sailor Moon Websites Thread for a full listing of all the links shared thus far by members on GC through various threads - old sites and currently active ones too! If you know of any good links that aren't in the doc, please feel free to add them! Thanks to Jupiter for kicking it back into gear! Comments and thoughts on the sites can be made there as well but we'll keep this thread up for all us old timers to kick back in our rocking chairs together XD.
Happy reminiscing~.

| I had to use the Way Back Machine, but I found it: my first Sailor Moon fanfiction website (and pretty much only one XD)
SailorMars.com. What I remember most about this site was that when reading the stories (which were separated into different webpages, so you had to click to turn the page) each page had a midi playing in the background that automatically played while you read! I thought it was so cool, and for a girl who had no idea that Sailor Moon was even a manga at the time (or that it had continued past the first half of R) I was eating all of this up, hearing songs like Ai No Senshi and La Soldier making me crazy because they were so cool XD My favorite fanfiction they had was a Sailor Moon/X-Men crossover. ... and now I'm seeing if their midi library still allows downloads. XD |

| The only one I can really remember is Lycenta's SM Graphics and Sprites.
All the rest I lost the links to a long time ago whenever I switched computers. I remember having an email address with SailorMoon.com though. xD |

| I used to be a very active member of TuxedoMask.com - admin and mod. It was very popular back in the day. My username is still registered to me even tho I signed up more than ten years ago. I LOVED it there, spent many, many hours on the chat and forums and met many friends. I'll never forget it. ❤ |

| SailorJupiter.com - This is a sister site to SailorMars.com I think. It was the first SM site I ever found and my first taste of Sailor Moon Fanfiction. I was 16 when I found this site. I was living with my father, who was in the military, at the time and one weekend he had to pull guard duty on the base or something. Well there were supposed to be bad storms and he didn't want to leave me alone, so he took me with him. And the building we were in had offices and he stashed me in one and there was a computer with internet. I spent two nights reading everything I could on SailorJupiter.com and then SailorMars.com.
I actually went back a couple weeks ago and looked these sites up again and read all the stories on there again. It was such a blast from my past. |

| This was one of my all-time favourites:
Dead Moon Circus Bar - It is nothing but tasteless and HILARIOUS dub-inspired fanfiction about the Amazon Trio. It's basically the best Amazon Trio stuff out there, ever. Everything is tongue-in-cheek and totally irreverent and it makes me laugh so much.
Sailor Orion's Refuge - This was the first fan-soldier website that I was ever a part of. I loved the forums so much. (Wayback Machine doesn't have a complete snapshot of it...) |

| oh god i remember Sailorjupiter.com! that was my favorite...i loved the adventures! it's too bad they never completed it... anyway, this was a fond website from my childhood.
Sailor Anubis'S Psychosis- a website featuring a Sailor Anubis, whose mind has unfortunately snapped. a very powerful and dark senshi who is quite the anti-hero. but she has her friends, and she loves her rubbery ducky Duck-Duck. and she loves killing Sailor Moon.
Castle in the Sky- a sailor moon fan site with many of the episodes from the anime with screenshots turned into story form. pretty much how i learned about episodes i never got to see! plus the insiders joke list. many things that taught me about sailor moon! |

| Someone mentioned this above, but one I remember visiting alot is Lycentia's SM Graphics and Sprites (which I think is only accessible by Wayback Machine). Another I went to very often is sailor-games.com.
Also I had an e-mail address back when sailormoon.com was around. |

| I remember once finding the first .mp3 of a sailor moon song on the internet. I think I nearly lost my marbles when i found it. xD
Also there was a site where I was able to download episode 200 in japanese. At the time, it was the coolest thing and I watched it even though I couldn't find any of the other episodes and of course it had no subs.
oh! That reminds me, i think there was a website called hitoshi doi? It had translated transcripts of all the japanese episodes. It was a cool site, but very basic design wise. xD |

| I also used to read translations of the manga in text format from this site: http://www.kurozuki.com/takeuchi/sailormoon/
One of my favourite informational sites was Bunny's Tour Through the Silver Millennium, which isn't online anymore. http://web.archive.org/web/20070321032005/http://thetour.animehunters.com/ |

We often get to talking about old Sailor Moon websites that we loved browsing back in the 90's. I thought it'd be fun to share some here so we can always go back to them. (If your site isn't around anymore, you can try using the Wayback Machine to find an archived version.) Happy sharing!~ And if anyone finds that one 90's Sailor Moon web game from Cartoon Network with the hexagon tiles, LET ME KNOW.
UPDATE: I found the thing! Who remembers this? |

| I have a ton of favorite ones. Some of them aren't available even in the waybackmachine, as they were geocities.
Sailorjupiter.com/Sailormars.com was kind of a choose your own story, complete with Midi files changing with the situation. I spent lots of time playing on it.
The Oracle - Where I went for most of my Sailor Moon Images.
Azha, the hatching place - Had many Sailor Moon sprites, ran by my friend Chronomorphosis, I have all of them saved on my computer, but they are my babies XD
I have a ton more, but I will have to wait until I get home, as they are all archived on my home computer. |

Wow... lets see: Tower of Time (of course)
There was this Sailor Cosmos Library/archive?? I used to submit stories there and read stuff all the time. There was one that I frequented for reading (It had a Sailor Dark Moon that was my inspiration when I was a kid.).
OH A big one would be Janelle's Neo Millennium site! I fell for her Sailor Moon trilogy (she never finished it but gave people permission to use elements of it for fanfiction. It was totally a big thing from what I remember.) |

| My favorite was Rini's Sheet Music Library! I was SO SAD when it was taken down (and equally as happy when I found out I could still access a lot of the music through web archives), and I still play a lot of the sheet music I've downloaded from there!
Also, it still updates, but sailorenergy.net has always been a fun one! |

| It's been so long, and I may not remember the name of the site correctly, but one of the first Sailor Moon fanfic repositories online is A Sailor Moon Romance. I read some of my first fanfics there and I remember the front page had a picture of Princess Serenity sitting serenely in a marble chair (I think it was an artwork from the Infinity art book). Reading the stuff there propelled me to come up with my own head canons, even if I had large holes in my knowledge of the Sailor Moon manga and anime at the time. |

THESE TWO. The midi files playing in the background to the fanfiction scenes were great. I was like 11 or 12 and the internet was ~new~ and I had no idea what I was doing, but I went to those two and had such a good time reading the fics from there! There was one crossover with X-men that I really loved? Like the ending scene still sticks with me - or the general idea, anyway XD ohmygod waybackmachine has all of the stories still available. AM I BRAVE ENOUGH TO WORK THROUGH IT?! The X-men story was easy enough to find but rather than playing the midi the midi now download directly to the computer and the story bits are so shoooort compared to the standard nowwwwwww. there's so much clickinggggg. past self, do i even really want to revisit what you liked?sailormoon.com! There was a chatroom there XD I was CrystalMoonBunny and was not good at starting conversations or keeping up with private messaging, but it was my first interactive Sailor Moon fandom experience and I loved it xD - Thanks, Waybackmachine!:

| I miss Sailor Orion's Refuge! It was one of my first introductions to fanfiction containing "new" sailor soldiers, and she wrote so much of it! Plus that website had a comprehensive guide to creating your own sailor soldier, and a lot of the terminology she preferred is still what we use today, even here! ("Realm of influence", for example, was one of her terms.) She also had the "Sailor Generator" dollmaker, a precursor to some of the dress up dolls now available for designing fanmade sailor soldiers.
Although, really, it was the forum I missed the most. It was a great time to be creating characters, writing fanfiction, and roleplaying. The community was robust and there was so much creativity!
Another similar site that I miss was the Crystalstars. I can't remember the exact full title, so I'm having a hard time pinning down the old URL. It was a joint project done by some friends, where each designed one of the characters and provided some form of media—fanfiction, writing, music, etc. They were led by a Sailor Starfyre. At the time their uniform designs were really unique; gradients that followed shapes related to their elements. The only examples I could easily find from that group was a sub-site for Sailor Starfrenzy.
Tower of Time contained a robust selection of otaku senshi fanfiction—the two who operated it just kept making more characters and writing more stories. They also had a wonderful forum and community, which was very encouraging. One of the services they provided that filled a really great niche at the time were colouring book image edits at the request of character creators who wanted art but couldn't afford a commission and didn't trust their own artistic skills. I helped as a guest editor for a short while. XD
Another one I recall with great fondness was Bunny's Tour Through the Silver Millennium. It was a really well put together "general knowledge" Sailor Moon, and contained information better cited than The Oracle.
;___; SO MUCH NOSTALGIA. IT OVERWHELMS. |

ASMR! I so miss that one. I think this is the one with the forum that was very detailed and advanced. You could have your own blog, create a Sailor Moon "family" and find other "family" members. It was so cool. I think it was this website...correct me if I'm wrong! |
