Well, it looks like things are starting to pick up. We first get to see Chibiusa in the hospital and die. Then the Senshi battle some ressurected foes, and Mistress 9 begins her reign with a nice helping of Silver Crystal. So the episode certainly is more eventful than the previous one. And I'm just loving it. We're in the final episodes of the arc with plenty to see. 

I, for one, am glad that Kaolinite got her Daimon form in this. It keeps up the theme of how the Death Busters are not or on longer human, the closer they get to the level of Pharaoh 90. Mistress 9 herself has complained about her current form while possessing Hotaru's body.

While it's not really explored in depth, I do like the parallels between the Inner Senshi and the Witches 5. Where the Spectre Sisters countered the Senshi in their powers, the Witches 5 countered them in their interests, which feels more towards an appeal of the Senshi's civilian sides.

And we got a new end credits piece again. I do like it better than the previous one

I noticed they also added the Outers and Super Sailor Moon footage to the opening. I quite like the new ending, though I think it sounds familiar to Mamoru's song from the first SMC soundtrack.

I also noticed that the Chronos Typhoon sequence is like the old anime's Dead Scream sequence, which threw me off a bit.

I kind of wish the senshi and their whole dreams vs. fighting thing had been more fleshed out, because that's interesting character stuff. At the moment like the manga it's just plot-heavy so I'm not finding myself very engaged with it.

I have to agree with Bubbles here, they could have gone deepeer into the battle for the senshi with their duty to Sailor Moon and their true dreams. It was just too rushed. I found the new ending to be one enjoyable heaping ball of adorableness and Mamoru dorkness. That rain though. I also loved the UsaMamo moments and how Mamo was able to help Usagi even from so far away. The soul link thing has its benefits.

That ending though!

THAT ALONE MAKES THIS SEASON TOTALLY WORTH IT!

I was a bit disappointed at how easily Kaolinite was taken out, and that we didn't see the animation for the Outers prime attacks. :/

Also, how long until we see a transformation sequence for Pluto? Do we really have to wait till Dreams? :-/

Am I the only one to notice that aside from Usagi, Setsuna's hair gets really short during her attacks?

I was disappointed that Usagi's hair was so short in her transformation into Super Sailor Moon.

This is a bit of a tangent, but is the reason that Mamoru was capable of sustaining ChibiUsa using his own life support (ie. the Earth) a hint that ChibiUsa can draw upon the power of the Golden Crystal, but just hasn't awakened to that power as of yet? I mean she is both Usagi and Mamoru's daughter, so if only her Silver Crystal was taken, I'd imagine that the Golden Crystal could theoretically sustain her whilst not allowing her to become Sailor Chibi Moon.

I'm probably in the minority here, but after having heard all three intro themes, I have to admit that my favourite is the second version. 

I'm not keen on the Mamoru ending though. :/

The second intro is indeed the best. The singer was Galaxia's 90s anime voice actress.

Momoclo makes me happy. and honestly I'm a bit biased with the new intro so don't mind me.

BUT THE NEW CLOSING SONG. FINALLY MAKES ALL THE ENDINGS WORTH IT.

MAMORU AND HIS MAJESTIC POSES IN THE NEW ENDING SONG KILLED ME oh my god I think I woke up my neighbors I am still laughing. Thank you Toei for this wonderful gift to all the Mamo-chan fans. The song is actually really good imo. I'm also relieved that there's no more awkward Chibiusa song with creepy backup vocals.

So am I the only one who noticed the subtitles were really poor this episode? Or at least during the first part of it?

Love the new variation of new moon, as always.

Cause I'm a sucker for additional trauma, I LOVE how chibiusa was stuck in a hospital, and everyone sees the flatline. My sister and I were joking as to how they managed to keep her from going into the morgue, and how they managed to sneak out a corpse. (the running joke was sticking her in a suitcase, then the senshi having to explain to NQS later how her daughter returned to the future with a kink in her back lol)

Kinda wish they kept how mars and venus were under attack the melting corpses when sailor moon was during the entire labyrinth portion, but considering they removed other deaths I'm not suprised. Though the line "it's her fault I have to fight and endure these wounds" could have been kept in.

I also kinda wish they kept hotaru floating in nothing, but considering they removed the tasteful nudity, I guess being trapped by vines is a good variation.

AND THAT ENDING THO. I LOVED HOW IT WAS A THROWBACK TO THE FIRST ENDING VISUALLY LIKE WOW. Though when he was dancing, it looked kinda stupid lol

Either way, I was satisfied with this episode. I just hope they keep the REAL angsty stuff in later eps. (the world getting destroyed in detail, the senshi getting their hosts sucked in and hotaru needs to protect them, sailor moon diving into pharaoh 90s open maw to destroy him ect)

When I saw the new ED I wasn't sure if I wanted to laugh or cry...probably both. XD;; The animation in this episode was rather subpar again; I'm hoping that means they're saving the meat of the budget for the climactic fight that we're building up to. And I guess I wasn't the only one disappointed by Kaolinite's daimon form? It looks almost comical (like something out of the 90's anime) and not ferocious looking. *sigh* hopefully they'll make Professor Tomoe's daimon form justice.

Noticed a few animation errors as well, but it didn't detract too much from the episode.
Loved that this episode was more action packed, really sets us up for the last few episodes of the arc. I also noticed that Usagi is becoming more and more situated into her role as the leader. This was noticeable in past arcs, but her tone and posture when she told the others to find Hotaru really sealed that for me. 

Can't wait for the next episode though!!!! XD

I'll be the firs to admit that the animation from Pluto's Dead/ly Scream was much better in the 90's anime than it being adapted for Chronos Typhoon in Crystal.

Perhaps it is the pastel palette, but there was something truly enchanting about Pluto being caught up in a cloud/storm from the Underworld. This particular adaptation was just a bit too pretty for me.

During the flashback in episode 34 she informs ChibiUsa about Super Sailor Moon, and we clearly see that she has her Prism Heart compact on.

Nah, Cosmos, you weren't the only one. I'm wondering if the subtitles on Hulu are any better. The stuff at the beginning kinda took me out of it.

I loved the episode, but yeah, the dreams stuff could've been expanded on more. I think I look away for a split second and all of a sudden they were all back to reality. It's like a Weeping Angel up in here. Don't blink!

I actually prefer the 3rd intro song and the 3rd ending. I absolutely loved the ending  

There were a few spots where the animation was a bit shoddy (usually with Mars, anyone else notice that? Cause I'm beginning to think that the animation team doesn't like Mars ) 

My favourite scenes are always with the outers and they're like yah we need to save her, we need to be there for her. Poor things must have had such a bad life for it to affect them this much in the future.

Yeah, I remember there was a running joke during the first two seasons about SMC hating Mars. Visually she seems to look 'off' the most. I don't know what's up with that. At least we won't get anything like this again lol

If they're staying true to the manga, then yes, we've definitely only seen princess serenity. Showing the queen would be a spoiler...

-I love the new opening. It's my favorite out of the three!
-YES!! NEW ATTACKS! Neptune and Pluto look so elegant.
-The fight scenes were terrific in this episode. I am impressed.

-I also noticed more animation mistakes this time. I think the reason that Mars suffers from this the most is because she has a very different eye shape from the other inner senshi. Her eyes may involve more attention in order to keep them proportionate to her face. This is just my hypothesis based on my experience illustrating. But who knows, maybe they just want to bully my precious lil Mars :/
-The new ED has a lot of parallels to to Eternal Eternity if you compare the two. Mamoru is so fabulous. 

I really enjoyed this episode! Any complaints I have are the same ones Ive always had for Crystal and the manga so I'll leave them aside, I REALLY love the Momoclo version of New Moon! I liked the first one and I did love Mitsuko Horie's version as well but Momoclo's was the best. xD

Yeah! I really liked how the Witches 5 were trying to use that against the senshi in the labyrinth, and I wish that the idea had more to it than just a few lines. Same goes to the concept of the Witches 5 teaching specific divisions of the academy. It just seemed too rushed to me.   I still would kill to see Tellu either coach or play dodge ball. I guess I'll just have to draw the scene myself. XD

Nope. XD You weren't the only one. It was so bad the entire time. I was so distracted by the grammatical errors. XD These are a few of the ones that caught my immediate attention.

I was pretty disappointed by how derpy she looked as well. She looked way freakier in the manga. Maybe it was just the ink. Idk.
