Character Name: Lady Marina Ceto

Age and Date of Birth: 18, December 27th

Appearance: Marina is around 5’6”, and has mid length indigo hair that’s tied into a neat braid behind her head. A few stray strands hang over her forehead. Her eyes are grey, and her skin is somewhat tanned. She’s well muscled from years of training with weighted armor. While on duty as a knight, she wears a set of grey, white, and blue-green armor, mimicking the ocean’s colors. They consist of a chest plate, pauldrons and arm guards, thick metal boots and shin guards, and an open faced helmet. underneath is a set of chainmail. When not working, she wears a light blue tunic made of material still thick enough to guard against a blade, and a set of matching dark blue pants and boots. She favors more gender neutral clothing for the sake of practicality and ease of changing.

Personality: Marina is what most people would consider as disciplined and not very emotive, but very dutiful. She is loyal to the royal family of Andromeda, and is not the kind to turn her back on someone without a very strong reason. She does possess feelings, but has such a good grip on herself that they don’t show much beyond her mask of indifference.

Her thought process is that as long as her opinion isn’t asked for, she won’t push it. Her job is to take orders, not question people’s actions, but that doesn’t mean she won’t occasionally say something sarcastic under her breath when she really doesn’t agree with something. Marina has a huge amount of respect for her planet’s senshi and princess, and takes personal offense when someone insults or badmouths her.

She seems like she’s immune to being bothered or rustled by others’ treatment of her, but she does have limits of what she can withstand before her temper gets the best of her. Marina’s fuse is long, but not limitless, and when she does reach the end of her rope, her demeanor becomes icy and sharp. She rarely falls into a bad mood, but it’s hard to miss when she’s in one, though it ends quickly. She is defensive over others’ safety, and is weak to flattery or heavy praise.

Marina’s goal is to become as skilled of a knight as her father was, and she likes reading books and researching history in her spare time. She hates the motion of a rocking boat, as it makes her sick.

Any Unique Abilities/Skills: Like many people on Andromeda, she can swim well. She’s well trained in fighting with lances and spears, either on foot or mounted. She also has a large amount of knowledge on old myths.

History:

Marina was born on planet Andromeda, and is the daughter of one of the kingdom's knights. Like her father, Sir Talos Ceto, she was expected to serve and protect the Alderran family. She was trained at a young age for this task, and even played with the Princess on many occasions. But when Marina was 13, the sea serpent attacked, and the people suffered greatly. As a squire, she was countless knights be sent to their deaths trying to slay it, but it was pointless. Her own father attempted it, and almost died from his injuries. He ended up retiring not long after. But it was only when the princess was sacrificed to the beast and awakened as Sailor Andromeda that the monster was killed. After that incident, Marina noticed a distinct change in Kira's behavior, and they didn't see much of each other after. Almost 6 years later, Marina is finally a knight, and is assigned to "guard" Princess Kira, though it ends up being more of a formality. Marina is determined to be of some use to her though, whether Kira appreciates her hovering or not.

Weapons or Magical Items:

Marina carries around a large curved shield that doubles as extra chest armor, and her favored weapon is a steel lance she has strapped to her back.

RP Sample:

Marina struggled to keep the frenzied rioters out of the castle, shoving her weight against the locked gate with the other knights to hold it steady. She had no idea what had triggered their sudden rage against the royal family, but she had no intentions of letting any of them in. The massive storm outside could still be heard, hurricane winds battering the walls. The storm was so strong that it couldn't be natural, and Marina wondered if this was all the work of magic. If it was... she wasn't sure how much they could do beyond stall for time. Whenever something explainable like this happened, their only option was to hope that Sailor Andromeda would solve it. And even though she was grateful for that, it did make her feel a bit useless in these situations. But...if keeping the mob under control was all she could do, she'd accomplish that much, at least. 

The strange vibe in the air intensified, and the rioters pushed harder, as if spurred on by it. From the corner of her eye, she could see some of the guards and knights start acting odd, and weapons were being drawn from their sheathes. Were they seriously going to fight back? They couldn't just attack the public- Marina's head stung and she found herself fighting to stay calm as the knights started to turn on each other. The last thing she could remember was drawing her lance to defend herself, and then it was a haze of red.
