Character Name: Kiyoshi (nicknamed Kiyo) Sasuke

Appearance: Kiyo has light brown hair he cuts short, but it doesn't ever seem to stay completely flat despite combing it back repeatedly. He has the beginnings of a darker brown beard that lines his jaw, connecting to his sideburns, and an almost square chin. His nose is slightly crooked from a break that healed wrong, and his eyes are dark. His default expression comes off as vaguely disgruntled, but he wears most emotions on his sleeve and can't seem to mask them to save his life.
Kiyo is 5 feet and 10 inches tall and wide shouldered. He's in good physical condition, but his wardrobe doesn't show this off very much. He wears collared shirts and long pants with a pair of well used walking shoes when not at work, but when he's at his grocery store job, he wears a short sleeved uniform under a green apron. The outfit he trains with is a loose, dark grey martial arts gi and a pair of black shoes that he keeps stuffed in a gym bag.
Personality:
Kiyo is a man who'd rather be normal. He is content with his life as it is and doesn't have a blazing desire for adventure, but he can't stand the thought of someone being hurt or taken advantage of. He'll jump into action if he thinks he can help, cursing his morals the entire time. Kiyo is surprisingly emotive considering how stern people initially peg him as, and he has a hard time lying to others. He doesn't liek to word things in an over-complicated manner, so he tends to be blunt. He seems unenthusiastic about work, but he's dedicated to a task once he is persuaded to do it, and is self disciplined enough to keep up routines without supervision. Kiyo insists on doing things himself instead of asking others to do it for him, no matter how strenuous it ends up being.

Kiyo likes fishing, martial arts, and most animals in general, and dislikes anything too high-class or formal. His goal is to save up enough money to own a fishing boat for himself and go out to sea.

Any Unique Abilities/Skills: Kiyoshi is a student of Kōga-ryū, the Koga school of ninja. He is focused on the Bo Staff and unarmed combat, along with stealth skills.

History:
Long ago, in the time before the Silver Millennium's fall, there was a planet known as Sanada. Sanada was home to a large kingdom, led by a powerful family of Warlords who controlled much of their planetary system through their influence. Though they had their own Sailor Senshi, the royal family was guarded by ten exceptional heroes, called by a variety of titles. Some considered them knights, others as loyal generals, but they were rumored to be assassins who did the kingdom of Sanada's dirty work. Legends said that together, they could turn the tide of an entire army's battle, and they were individually sent out to sabotage other planets and destabilize them. Their reputations spread throughout the galaxy, including the Silver Millennium itself, and one of these ten was known by the codename of Koga. In a solar system-wide rebellion, Sanada was overcome and destroyed, Koga and his companions dying defending the throne to their last breath. It was only the power of their Princess that saved them all from completely disappearing in the annals of history, and with the Sanada Crystal, many powerful souls were given the chance to reincarnate in a new era.

Kiyoshi Sasuke was born in a smaller town in Western Tokyo, Japan, though his family can trace their roots back to the town of Kōka (Koga) in the Shiga prefecture. His father was a business man in a large company in Tokyo proper, though his mother taught at a local martial arts dojo before she retired to raise him. She never really stopped being physically active, however, and as soon as he could walk, she dragged him outside for a variety of activities in the suburbs and nearby undeveloped woods. He first picked up martial arts from her, though he quickly forgot most of it when he became busy with school years later. She did manage to instill the importance of working out, and he did basic exercises in his spare time. His father, after his mother's prompting, began taking him out of town on bonding trips, where he taught him how to fish. They never were truly close, but one of the few subjects they could connect over was fishing, and Kiyo continues to do it even now.

He graduated high school with average grades and not much of a plan, so in an attempt to become more independent, he moved into Tokyo and got an apartment a few years later. Kiyo found a small but permanent job at a grocery store, and when he wasn't working, he went out hiking outside the city lines. During one of his hikes, he stumbled upon an abandoned shrine, where he met a strange old monkey named Hiruzen who could somehow speak. Hiruzen sensed Kiyo's potential, and told him of a great evil that approached Tokyo and offered to train him as a ninja to fulfill his destiny. At first, Kiyo didn't believe him, but Hiruzen awakened his star seed, and his identity as Koga Knight was revealed. Feeling like he had no other option, Kiyo agreed to the training, and has been learning for the last five years.

As Koga Knight, he was given the power to battle monsters, and over the recent years as a student of Hiruzen, he's defended his small ward from a variety of them. Koga he does feel a bit aimless at times, as if he's forgetting something important, but Hiruzen remains as cryptic as ever, saying that the time that all is revealed will come. Recently he's run into a rival ninja in the form of Iga Knight, a mysterious female who appears to fight monsters with strange powers as well. After a series of clashes, she is now also a student of Hiruzen, agreeing to stay loyal to their "just" cause in exchange for ancient Iga clan secrets.

Senshi Fuku: Koga Knight's main colors are black and deep green. He wears a set of thick soled, black shoes with good grip, and a loose set of dark green pants that are tied around his ankles with black ribbons. He wears a leather belt with pouches to hold his ninja tools, and the holster for his staff is tied around his back, over one shoulder. He wears a black, long sleeved shirt under a dark green vest, and on top of that is lightweight, ceramic chest armor, shoulder guards, and forearm guards. His gloves are black and lined with metal on the back of the palms, and the bottom half of his face is covered with a green cloth. His forehead is guarded by a tied bandanna with a larger metal plate attached to it, and his hair is left uncovered. His legs have two more holsters strapped to them for extra storage.
Powers:

Shadow Step- Koga can step into darkened areas and walk between them, seeming to bend reality and move far faster than possible. If the shadows disappear, he can be interrupted. Outside of shadows, this can be used to silence his footsteps.
Monkey Grip- Koga can climb up flat surfaces, hang on ceilings, and jump large distances without the need for tools.
Awakening: Saru no Seishin- A last resort technique, Koga can channel his Koga Crystal's full power for a few minutes. He summons a green aura around himself, taking the form of a raging ape. He can use this spirit to battle directly, or can absorb it once more to boost his own abilities while it lasts. During the Awakening, he has extreme control over the plants around him.

Weapons or Magical Items:

Sarutobi Staff- A wooden bo staff that can extend and retract, and imbues Koga with more flexibility
Koga Crystal- His stronger than average starseed that he can use to transform, and draws his magic from. It's a glowing sphere that appears dark green, and it stays within his body. Not a true Sailor Crystal.
Smoke Bombs-A set of five small smoke bombs that regenerate every time he transforms.
Shuriken-Throwing stars he can generate and toss with excellent accuracy. They are nonlethal and can pin objects and living things down.

Guardian: Hiruzen, an old, white furred monkey that claims to be a master ninja from a time long ago. He lives in an abandoned shrine outside of Tokyo and teaches the lost arts of Ninjutsu to the ones he accepts as worthy students. He can move extremely fast, and has a vast trove of knowledge of ninja arts, including some ancient magic.
