Character Name: (Prince) Diamond
Gender: Male
Age and Date of Birth: He looks 18-19.
Used Canons: Anime/Crystal/Manga/Sera Myu
Appearance: Diamond is a tall white haired man that seemingly could be between 18 and 20 years old. He has a pale complexion with light purple eyes that usually shine with boredom or anger under half-closed eyelids. He wears his hair just above his shoulders and will rarely tie them up, his hair thin enough that he doesn't need to worry about brushing them every day or styling them. Though he is not frail, Diamond is not one to exercise and thus does not bear any kind of build such as Rubeus' own. If he prefers to fight using his powers (and if he is most of the time sitting or walking around his palace), his body, however, can withstand a normal fight and he is of average strength. He has long legs and fingers as well as a good and proud posture. His features are usually relaxed and confident.
He wears white all the time, his trousers, but also his top. Only his cape is colored and his shoes are both white and black. His cape is kept against his shoulders by straps decorated with diamonds. He also wears a diamond on his jacket. As all of the members of his clan (except for Saphir for the earrings), he wears the black crystal earrings and the upside down black crescent moon symbol on his forehead.
Personality: It can be said that Diamond is a petulant child. He is not the kind of man who takes no for an answer and when he wants something, he wants it now. He usually obtains what he wants as he is the leader of his clan, but when things don't go the way he wants them to go or if he is disobeyed, he doesn't take it well. He expects his leadership to be respected and he does generally inspire respect in those that share the same ideals as he does (mostly his own family / clan) or fear. He doesn't take orders from anyone else (probably why most of Wiseman's words to him are well-phrased suggestions) and when (or if) he does, it should be glanced upon with caution. Diamond is not unlike a time bomb and if he accepts someone else's rule, it's often for his own gain or because he has a plan in mind. He can become quickly ferocious when looked down at, underestimated or ordered around, always needing to be in control of the situation. He can enter a crazed state if pushed too far.
He is smart, but will have difficulties to adapt. He dreads changes and will choose old traditions he is comfortable with over new ones that make him uneasy about something.
Diamond can be overly zealous or obsessive (power, Serenity, etc); once he has something in mind, it's hard to distract him from his goal. He is determined and perfectionist, he knows what he wants and when he wants it. If he is too focused on one thing, it is possible that everything else around him disappear or lose their worth for the time his mind gets finally bored of his new obsession. It can backfire on him since a single-minded track of thoughts will make him loose patience when plotting against an enemy or when designing a new operation. If he is acting on a whim, his plans will most likely fail (as Saphir points out to Sailor Moon before trying to kill her).
In many regards, he is very self-destructive and would not hesitate to take in more powers, even if it could mean his body wouldn't be able to take it. If cornered and with nothing else to loose, he will act purely out of hatred and anger, throwing any desperate and last attack he could think of just so he doesn't go out disarmed and on his knees. He will also take upon himself any burdens he judges necessary to his cause (one of the traits that made it quite easy for Wiseman to get to him).
He is a family man (only towards his own) and is considered a good leader among his own peers. He will take care of his clan and undergo whatever task necessary to keep them safe. When totally aware of himself and freed of mental control, the death of his own will annoy him. If anything else, nobody has the right to hurt his clan but himself. He does care for his clan however and anyone hurting them will most likely suffer.
Diamond is a good strategist, but one lazy and arrogant, too often over-confident of his winning chances and prone to underestimate an enemy. He will also delegate if the task bores him, but once something catches his interest, he will not let go until he succeeds.
He is not sadistic per se, meaning that he doesn't get any personal pleasure in making others suffer, but he is indifferent; he doesn't care for others. He can kill without remorse, but it doesn't give any satisfaction either, unless it was a renowned or sworn enemy (the death of Wiseman, or even King Endymion's would be of those that would satisfy him greatly). He also hates children.
If he doesn't seem patient and if he can throw a fit over small details, he knows how to bid his time. Anger is also not the general aura surrounding him. He is more defiant, mocking, sarcastic and he will look down on others with impetuosity. He will hide any personal emotions that could be used against him as deeply as possible because he is indeed easily coaxed if one knows how to play him.
Any Unique Abilities/Skills: He can shoot energy waves / blasts from his hands and possesses a third eye with which he can hypnotize (stun and control) people. He can teleport and use energy waves to create a shield around him.
History: It is believed that the Black Moon Clan were descendants of criminals that had refused the purification and were exiled from Earth centuries ago (30th century's timeline wise). Under Diamond's reign, the clan united against the ideals of Neo Queen Serenity's rule. For him, for his people, the immortality of the Kingdom under the Moon Royal Family was blasphemous, corrupted and against the law of God. But what was first supposed to be revenge and a new beginning for his clan became more and became less when an entity going by the name of Wiseman found the prince and his ambitions to be suiting for his own deeds. Convincing Diamond that he had the answers to his and his clan's prayers, Wiseman was able to brainwash him.
His new goal: destroy the Silver Crystal and the Earth of the 30th century so to be able to take control of the 21th century (or so he thought). He sent Rubeus and the sisters first, wishing to know who they were against, not really the leader of his own clan anymore, but more so a regal puppet sitting on a throne with a dark counsellor whispering sweet promises in his ears.
He watched silently as the sisters turned against their own clan and Rubeus was left to die by Esmeraude while his mind was barely aware that deaths were involved. All that mattered was their purpose and that mysterious Sailor Senshi that resembled the Queen so much. He quickly recognized Sailor Moon to be the past incarnation of Neo Queen Serenity and set as his own personal goal to have her no matter what.
Finally, by kidnapping one by one the Sailor Mars, Sailor Mercury and Sailor Jupiter, Diamond was able to take Sailor Moon away from her group and into the Dark Moon's Palace where he tried to kiss her and was rejected. He let her alone, giving her permission to walk around in the palace, knowing the dark energy would cause her to weaken anyway.
What he didn't think about was how the crystallized Queen of the 30th Century could still act against them. She gave power to Sailor Moon so she could finally transform and save her friends.
Manga:Encouraged by Wiseman's words, Diamond set out to kill Sailor Moon, appearing indifferent when Rubeus is first disposed of after the power of the Silver Crystal started to destroy what was surrounding them. He soon questioned Wiseman's true goals, growing defiant which caused his counsellor to use his powers against him again to keep him brainwashed. Diamond fought as a minion for both him and Black Lady until he came back to his senses, deciding to take revenge for the death of Esmeraude and Rubeus. Saphir, still controlled by them, opposed him, leaving him no choice but to kill his own brother. He tried to kill Wiseman but it was revealed to them that his body had died long ago and that he was actually Nemesis' consciousness. With nothing else to loose, Diamond stole the crystals from Black Lady's hands and came to brought them both together when Pluto stopped him and Time. When the Senshi came against Wiseman, Diamond tried to attack Sailor Moon, but an attack from Tuxedo Mask and Sailor Moon finally killed him.
Crystal:As the end of the battle drew near, Nemesis hanging above them menacingly, Diamond was the only left standing of his clan. Seeing as Death Phantom was trying to take from him the pleasure to take Sailor Moon's life, he protected both her and Tuxedo Mask before being killed by Wiseman's power.
Anime:Saphir's murder by Wiseman's hands was what seemed to be needed for Diamond to wake up from the fog Death Phantom had lifted in his brain. First frustrated against his former counsellor for a decision that wasn't his call to make, Wiseman's words served no other purpose than to sever the influence he had over the prince. Dropping the topic for now, Diamond left with promises of revenge when their goal would be attained.
Soon after, Sailor Moon arrived in one of their crystal where Diamond welcomed her again. Her warnings and Saphir's words were then resonating in his mind, but not yet strong enough for him to soften. He forced himself on her, rejected once again when she was able to resist his third eye, unable to understand why and how he could not make her love him as he wished. Wiseman interrupted them and after a fiery exchange of argument he turned against the creature, using the powers given to him to keep Wiseman in check.
As he was about to deal a mortal attack at Sailor Moon's Diamond jumped between them, taking the blast instead. Despite his injuries, he was able to destroy Wiseman's body (without knowing it would be in vain) before collapsing.
He died in Future Neo Queen Serenity's arms, finally admitting as his last words that even if he went about it the wrong way, his feelings for her were real.
Other Noteworthy Facts: Saphir is his younger brother.
Storyline Specific Information: Dance with the Devil:- Summary/Info:
The Black Moon Clan's invasion was a success. If there were many losses, Diamond didn't mourn them long. As soon as he saw a path to victory, he lured the Sailor Senshi in a trap and was able to get rid of them one by one. Black Lady then managed to capture King Endymion in order to lock him in the dungeons of Diamond's castle. It left Neo Queen Serenity alone in her fight and though she tried to maintain her authority, Endymion's fate soon came in the balance and she had no choice but to give in for now. Upon her acceptance, Diamond pulled the Dark Crystal out of Earth's skin. Years passed, now Diamond and Neo Queen Serenity rule over a darker version of Crystal Tokyo. It can seem the same for their subjects, but they both know by looking at the former royal palace - where now live Luna, Artemis and Diana with full power over who enters or leaves - that the Dark Crystal's influence is still there. RP sample:- Everyone loves Diamond:
Neo. Queen. Serenity.
The face of an angel, but the fury of a goddess.
Diamond stood in front of the Queen's image, his eyes studying yet again those regal features. How many times now had he memorized every details of hers? How no wrinkles came to crease her perfect skin, how no sign of age could be seen at all, how she seemed so serious, so distant. Crystal Tokyo's Hidden Protector.
The reason humanity had gone wrong.
He barely shifted on his feet, motionless, unaware of the passing time and quite blind or deaf to what surrounded him. Nemesis wasn't such a silent planet, but when he gazed at her... everything seemed to disappear. He blinked and lifted his chin so his eyes could reach her image's.
He remembered those eyes.
Her eyes.
When they faced him so furiously, as if he was less than human, as if he was a monster.
He sneered, the bitterly amused hum vibrating deep in his throat.
They were the monsters.
The Moon Kingdom didn't understand how much their ways were blasphemous, how the moon and Earth shouldn't be linked in such a disgusting menage. Humans weren't meant to be eternal, to elevate themselves as gods over their lives. Humans were meant to live, to suffer and to die, something the corrupted peace brought by this Royal Family had ripped away from them. The right to live and die as humans.
'A pity' he thought for this Queen was more beautiful than anything, anyone he had ever seen. She would have been grand by his sides.
Despite his hatred and taste for revenge, it was ironic how much efforts it took him to take his eyes away from her.
He wanted to possess her, that was all. To make her kneel. Only that.
Nothing else.
He slowly turned his back to the holographic image.
“Rubeus...”
His calm voice broke the silence and a shadow revealed itself from behind one of the pillars.
It was satisfying.
Never had he needed to raise his tone in order to be heard and obeyed.
“Prepare yourself. The Operation begins tonight.”
