Storyline Name: Queen of Discord

Plot Summary: Usagi thought that she was an ordinary girl from California, although a little hyperactive and not very good in school. This all changed when she and her friends are attacked by a Greek monster at school and are saved by a Satyr and strangers who call themselves demigods. They are brought to Camp Half-Blood and told of their divine heritage, as children of the Greek and Roman gods.


Before they can get settled and think much about their new identities, a new threat is about to topple Mount Olympus. The goddess Eris has gained a huge amount of power from an unknown source, and is slowly knocking the weather and nature out of balance, and out of the gods' control. Soon the world will fall prey to endless stroms and natural disasters. Usagi, Ami, Makoto, Minako, and Rei are selected by the Oracle to go on a quest to find the Apple of Discord, in hopes of removing Eris from power. But can they stand up to the goddess of Chaos herself and the forces she commands?


Details on any necessary information: All of the characters will have their divine heritage predetermined, and their histories are changed as this is a crossover between Sailor Moon and Percy Jackson. No one is a senshi, but they do have powers based on their parents, and can use weapons and magical items they find. 


Usagi is the child of Selene, the Moon Goddess
Ami is the child of Hermes, the Messenger of Gods
Rei is the child of Mars, the God of War and Destruction
Makoto is the child of Jupiter, God of the Sky and Thunder
Minako is the child of Venus, Goddess of Love and Desire
Mamoru's origins are Unknown to the character.
Haruka is the child child of Zeus, the Greek aspect of Jupiter
Michiru is the child of Posideon, the God of the Sea and Earthquakes
Hotaru is the child of Hades, God of the Underworld and Riches
Setsuna is the child of Chronos, God of Time. 


Only Setsuna is aware of her legacy at first, as she lives primarily with her divine father and is actually far older than the rest. The rest discover that they are demigods as the RP goes on.


Restrictions: Only Usagi, Ami, Minako, Makoto, Rei, Haruka, Michiru, Setsuna, Hotary, and Mamoru are playable Canon characters.

Makoto slouched a little as she walked further behind the rest of the class, bored with the museum trip already. Her California school had scraped together the funds for a large field trip to New York City for all the History classes, in an attempt to spur them into wanting to learn more as they visited the greatest historic collections in the United States. So far it wasn't working. Many of the middle school kids were ignoring the tour guide in favor of talking among themselves, and some had even wandered off completely to go find the cafeteria.

Mako didn't really blame them. Listening to a guy in a suit drone on about dinosaur bones and 500 year old vases in a flat voice was not an easy task. If she had any friends, she'd had gladly tuned him out as well. But then again, her attention was difficult to keep to begin with. She covered a yawn, making sure not to look suspicious in front of their teacher, who was already convinced she was going to start a fight at any moment and break some priceless artifact. Honestly, that had only happened three times, and those boys had come after her first.

The tour guide continued to drone, leading the group to the next section of the museum: The Greeks and Romans. The large room was filled with old weapons and bronze armor, model chariots and authentic togas and dresses. White stone pillars were everywhere. Murals of Greek and Roman myths were on the walls, and above them was a large wooden Greek sea vessel, suspended on ropes. Makoto tried to pay some more attention, remembering that they had to do a report on one of these exhibits. 

"The Ancient Greek people believed in a pantheon of deities, the most recognized in society today being the Gods of Olympus," the tour guide explained, stopping at a painting. It depicted the 12 Olympians sitting at the top of a mountain. "The chosen king of the gods was Zeus, God of the Sky and Thunder. The Romans changed his name to Jupiter, and that's where the planet's name originated from." He continued to talk about the other gods, but Makoto was still stuck on the first one. The god of thunder...

"Many Greek and Roman stories involve the gods descending form their higher planes to have children with mortals. They were called Demigods, and were gifted with power from their divine parent. They said that demigods were the means that the gods used to directly deal with mortal issues, such as wars. Herakles was the son of Zeus and a mortal woman."

About an hour outside of New York City was Hikawa Shrine, one of the only Shinto establishments in Long Island. It sat on a hill just on the edge of a smaller town, overlooking it. The shrine wasn't very busy, but it had a steady flow of dedicated visitors who prayed or got fortunes there from the old monk and his miko granddaughter.

The wooden red Torii gates lining the stone staircase to the shrine grounds looked like paradise to Artemis. The white haired young Satyr glanced around and sniffed the air, cautious of his surroundings. He had the task of leading a demigod to safety, and he would not fail so close to Camp Half Blood. But they needed a place to stay for the night before the last leg of the journey. 

He didn't sense any monsters, but the shrine was sacred and could protect them from any evil creatures once they were on holy grounds. Maybe. He gulped and steeled himself, not allowing a nervous goat's bleat to escape his throat. They had to make it. 

"Minako," he said, turning to look back towards the woods they had cut through. "See that shrine up ahead? I think we can stay there for a while and rest. Do you think you can make it up that hill?" Artemis asked. They had been moving for days, keeping ahead of monsters and as out of sight as possible.

Rei sat in front of the fire, meditating as usual during this time of day. She opened her eyes when she sensed a growing unease and wondered if trouble was brewing somewhere around here. Out here on Long Island, things were generally quiet, but there was that weird monster thing that one time…

She had tried to shake off the incident from her memory, though she couldn’t quite pretend that it never happened. Throughout her life, Rei had been so attuned to the spiritual world that she knew things beyond what most people believed existed, but that day was the first time in her life that she actually came face to face with a legitimate out-of-this-world monster.

And after she vanquished it… well, it felt like something had awakened in her, though she wasn’t sure what exactly. It had left her feeling even more restless than usual.

Her dreams were haunted by a strange place that looked like a summer camp. It almost felt like it was calling to her, though she had no idea where it was.

Rei stood up and faced the fire, too antsy to sit still now. She glanced out the window to the still world outside. Not even the pair of her stalker crows were there today, which was strange. The quiet was almost too quiet.

Something is coming.

For once in her life she was bored. At a museum of all places too. Perhaps it had something to do with the obvious lack of passion for the subject that their guide had, or the fact that she knew more than he did, but Ami felt her attention wandering through the tour. 

The pieces were fascinating of course but today, they just weren't keeping her attention like they normally did. Still, ever the diligent student, she paid their guide some attention, jotting down notes as they walked, asking questions ever once in a while, as would be expected of her. It allowed her mind to wander and speculate other things. 

Just why was she so distracted today?

Minako had spent the last several hours whining and complaining about how bad her feet hurt, and how tired her body was. Her skin was sweaty, her hair was a mess, and she had not doubt that there were bags beneath her eyes. They had been traveling for days, fighting whatever monster got in their way. Minako was still getting used to this whole thing, and so far, she wasn't liking it very much.

Heaving a heavy sigh, Minako nodded and trudged up the hill. The thought of having a place to stay for the night motivated for her to continue upward. She could feel the blisters on her feet burning, but she pushed on, wanting nothing more than a bed to sleep in. 

Finally, she reached the top of the hill and ended up in front of a shrine. She groaned, wondering if whoever lived here was going to try and get her to 'donate to their cause' or something like that. She didn't have any money, and she didn't have the patience to put up with any of that. 

"Hello?" she called, approaching the shrine's main building. "Is anyone home?"

Mamoru was with his class going through the history section of a Museum. He was paying attention and trying not to get distracted by his friends who might have been goofing off. His teacher then took them into a big room that was labeled, "greeks and romans" There were statues all around them of different men and women and other things related to the subject. He was interested in this as much as he could be, I mean he wanted to learn of course but he wished that the class was over with since even his feet were hurting and the teachers voice seemed to be slow. still though, he walked from area to area reading from the things that were written there while listening to his teacher.

Behind the rest of the school group, one student lagged even further behind than Makoto. Luna was new to the school, having transferred from a place in New Jersey about a month ago. She was shorter than the other kids, with curled black hair and strange red eyes. She walked a little strangely, but that had been explained as a medical problem with her legs. She always seemed nervous and vigilant, as if she expected something bad to happen to her at any moment. She didn't seem to have any friends either.

"And over here is a collection of Greek monsters, all of them being fake of course..." The tour guide showed them a row of statues and stuffed figures, depicting harpies, sea serpents, cyclops, and other beasts. Makoto pulled herself away from  the painting she had been staring at to follow the crowd, passing by a large stuffed lion. Despite the tour guide's assurance that it was fake, its head shifted slightly as it sniffed the air.

And then its eyes fell on the students. Luna's eyes widened slightly and she sniffed the air as well, before her head whipped around to face the lion, who was now stepping off its pedestal to stalk its prey. 

"No, not now!" she said, before running towards it. But it was too late. It roared, and the tour guide looked over and almost fell down in shock. The lion growled and took another step, and the students started to scream and scatter, despite the teachers' best efforts to keep order. Mako was pushed around and struggled to stay standing as people ran past her, and then she caught sight of what was going on. At first, she saw a large, rabid looking dog. But then her vision started to shift, and it became what was clearly a lion.

"W-what the heck?" It locked eyes with her, and started ignoring the other students in favor of coming closer to her instead. Makoto backed away slowly, and then bumped into a display case holding a bronze mace. She was trapped.

 Luna frantically looked around, and then spotted Usagi, Mamoru and Ami, who were also left behind in the confusion. The doors had somehow locked, keeping them all stuck in the exhibit with the lion. 

"Chiron's going to kill me for letting this happen..." Luna muttered, before inching closer to them. If the lion turned on her before she could get to them, they would all be finished. But if her hunch about these four were right, they could kill it. "Hey, if you want to make it out of here alive, listen to what I'm about to say very carefully!" she said in a harsh whisper. She didn't have time to be nice, one of her charges was about to be eaten!

"That thing is a Nemian Lion, an ancient Greek monster that's been revived. We need to find a way to slay it before it kills her. Do any of you think you can handle a weapon?" she asked, referring to the rack of spears and blades beside them.

The beast got even closer to Makoto, and she gripped the display behind her harder, paling. As if reacting to her intense fear, the museum lights started flickering on and off until they finally cut out. They were in the dark with a monster now.

Mamoru was looking at Greek Monster Statues and was surprised at the different types of creatures..then it happened. He saw or he thought he saw what looked like a lion coming to life, he rubbed his eyes and then found everyone going nuts and scattering. He then tried to get his classmates away from this weird occurrence and tried not to fall down or get pushed around too much. He then saw Makoto get cornered by the lion and another one yelling at them about using weapons and what that thing was. He said to her, "I don't know whats going on but real or not I'm not letting her die." He then yanked a spear off the rack and walked toward the lion as fast as he could without it coming after him. He was about 7 steps from them when the lights went out. 'Oh crap..I hope they have a backup generator!'

Rei heard the voice of a girl, and thinking it was a customer, she walked to the front of the shrine. Sliding the door sideways, she peered outside… and saw a blonde girl standing in the yard. She looked… well… terrible. Like maybe she had been robbed or something. Or like she had walked miles for days.

“Hi. Do you need help?” she asked, stepping outside in confusion. Sometimes people went to the shrine for help—maybe this girl ran away from home or something? Either way, Rei would be happy to give her a drink and maybe a place to sit down for a while—she seemed like she was about to keel over at any moment.

Ami whirled around when she heard a roar echo through the hall, only find a lion stalking one of her classmates. People were scattering, which was probably the smarter thing to do, but she found herself rooted to the spot, unable to move. One of the upper class man guys grabbed a weapon and approached the beast. Before he could do anything, they were plunged into darkness. 

She knew she should move, to get away. She was trapped in the dark with an animal that could see in the dark better than she could. 

Why weren't her legs listening to her?

Move! she urged herself. Move your legs and go, find help anything, just get out of here!

There was silence, and then a low growl in the darkness. Luna tensed, her hearing sharp enough to detect the lion's padded paws moving across the tile. It was coming towards Mamoru and Usagi, their weapons attracting its attention. Luna took her chance, and ran past it to reach Makoto, who was still frozen by the case.

"You have to get up!" she said, tugging at Mako's arm. She turned to look at the strange, red eyed girl who was shaking her, and recognized her as that student who had just transferred. "If you don't fight with them, they could die!"

"You're insane, we can't fight a lion!" Makoto stood up anyway, straining her eyes t see a few other students still inside the room. One of the upperclassmen was holding a spear, and the girl she knew as Usagi was holding a blade. A second girl, Ami, was still back by a wall. Were they both nuts too? That beast would tear them apart if...if she didn't fight too.

She couldn't just run for the door and abandon them, especially not after they had tried to help her. Makoto turned to the glass case and shoved herself against it. The entire thing fell over and shattered, allowing her to grab the solid metal club it had been holding. Almost on instinct, she corrected her grip on the handle. It was heavy, but she lifted it with barely any trouble.

And then the monster pounced on Mamoru, pinning him by the shoulders under its paws. At the same time, Makoto glared at it and charged, lifting her club to swing at the lion.

Mamoru was looking around in the dark trying to see something but he couldn't. He did however hear movement sounding like it was coming near them and before he could react he was forced to the floor hard and he knew it was the lion on him..none of the others were that heavy plus none were trying to kill them either. He tried to raise his blade in front of him so if the lion wanted a snack he would eat the spear. He didn't know what was going to happen but he was trying he best not to let this thing eat him.

Minako heaved a heavy sigh of relief when a girl appeared from within the shrine. "Oh thank the gods!" she cried, clapping her hands together. "Yes, actually, I do," she replied, smiling up at the raven-haired girl. "I've been traveling for days, and I really just need a place to stay for the night. If you would be so kind as to let me stay here, I would be sooooo grateful." Minako's eyelashes batted, her charm still displayed despite her rugged appearance. She tilted her head, taking in the girl's appearance. "You're super pretty, by the way. Is that hair real?"

"Gah, cut it out!" Artemis stumbled out of the nearby bushes, covering his head with his hands as a pair of crows pecked and cawed at him. He'd had the foresight to manipulate the Mist to cover up his lower goat half, but it didn't seem to work on these birds. He was usually good with animals, but apparently not with shrine crows. If anything, he could swear they were laughing at him... 

Artemis tripped on a stair and fell on his face a few feet away from Minako and Rei. "Ow...." Phobos and Deimos cawed again and circled around him, satisfied with his position. In the distance, a low rumble could be heard. Artemis stood up and sniffed at the air, brushing the dirt off his clothes. 

"What was that?" Even the crows went silent, looking into the nearby forest. Artemis narrowed his eyes. "Something's coming..."  And then a serpentine shape crawled into the opening, revealing a creature that was as tall as the Tori gates of the shrine itself. The dragon reared its head up and roared, smoke pouring out of its mouth. "D-dragon!" 

The monster started to haul itself up the hill towards them, but it seemed to be running into a problem. After a certain point, it hit what looked like an invisible force. It growled and slammed against the strange shield.

Rei stared at the girl, wondering why she needed to bat her eyelash at her. It wasn’t as if Rei would turn her away knowing that she needed a place to stay. She narrowed her eyes when the blonde asked if her hair was real. “Of course it’s real, why on earth would it—?”

Her sentence was cut short when suddenly someone else stumbled out from the bush, being attacked by her stalker crows. So that was what they were doing. She had instinctively moved into defensive mode, wondering if this man was dangerous, and if he was the one giving the blonde trouble. Those crows were more intelligent than they appeared—she knew that much—and she’d never seen them react this way to someone before.

As the strange man fell on his face, Rei was about to ask who he was when she heard a strange noise. Now all of Rei’s fight or flight instinct was releasing a very loud inner alarm. When she saw the figure coming into view, she nearly could not believe her eyes. It was a giant snake. No. A dragon.

“What the hell?!” Was that like… one of the gods or something? But it didn’t look like any of the paintings she used to see in books—and anyway, in all the years she had been in this shrine, not a single god had ever materialized. Also, that one looked pissed. Rei stepped back, stunned when she saw that the dragon seemed to hit an invisible wall.

She looked up at the gates of the shrine. Was it the shrine’s protection that was keeping it out? Was it a demon, then—an evil spirit—rather than an angry god?

“Get into the shrine,” she ordered the two strangers, while she fished out an ofuda. “Rin, Pyou, Tou, Sha, Kai, Jin, Retsu, Zai, Zen! Evil spirit, begone!” she cried, throwing the piece of paper toward the monster.

Ami was forcefully brought back to the present when another girl bumped into her. Her body almost froze once more when she saw the girl raise a blade to her, questioning whether she really was a student or not. 

"W-wait, I really am a student. My name is Ami Mizuno. We're in the same class." Please don't hurt me. 

The lion roared in Mamoru's face and bit at the spear, tugging at it like a dog attacking a toy. But before it could wrench it away from him, Makoto slammed her mace into the side of the lion's head. 

"Get off him!" The lion's jaw's opened in surprise, letting Mamoru have his bent up spear back as it stumbled off him, reeling from the hit. After shaking off the dizziness, the lion turned and faced Mako, who was doing her best to hold her weapon correctly. She'd never used a weapon in her life, and was running off of sheer instinct. It sniffed the air and growled again, figuring out where she was.

Artemis hesitated to move after scrambling back onto his feet. "Wait, you can't fight that thing! You'll only make it angrier!" The ofuda touched the monster's scales, and it hissed, retracting from the barrier. It breathed hot ash and smoke over the paper, and it burnt and melted away. Phobos and Deimos screeched as they flew towards the shrine itself. 

Less than a minute later, Rei's grandfather, the head priest of the shrine ran out to see what was going on. A long rectangular package was tucked under his arm, and he came to a halt when he saw the dragon lurking at the gates. The look of concern he wore turned into one of resignation. He should have suspected something would happen after the gorgon attack. Once a demigod started to become aware of their power, their scent grew more powerful. But what could have triggered such a powerful monster to find them?

"Rei, if you insist on fighting that dragon, then...use this." He offered her the box. Inside was a hand carved wooden longbow. The wood looked like it was pulsating red, as if it had been pulled from a fire. The string was Imperial Gold, and it gave off a familiar, otherworldly aura. "This bow is a gift from your..your father. He left it here as a birthday present, but it is clear to me that you need it now."

Mamoru tried to move his head to the side when it roared but still felt the roar. Then when the lion bit down on his spear he held on for dear life. After a student screamed and apparently did something to the lion, it got off of him. Mamoru then scooted back a bit and got up thankfully still in one piece. 'Man that thing is heavy and definitely needs a breath mint' He then waited trying to think of something else to help the one who helped him and the others in the room.

“So what am I supposed to do, just let it eat us?!” Rei snapped at the man. Her ofuda seemed to be having an effect on the dragon, though her heart plummeted when it simply burned it with its breath. Her coward crows flew away, and Rei was about to usher the two strangers deeper into the shrine when she turned and found none other than her own grandfather.

“What? What’s this?” she asked in confusion as he handed her a box. She wanted to ask why her grandfather wasn’t alarmed at all by the fact that there was a dragon, but she chose to quickly open the box instead. Inside she found a bow. She instinctively knew that this wasn’t an ordinary bow, for it glowed red, and yet wasn’t hot to the touch when she attempted to pick it up, and the string was golden. It felt powerful and different, just like she’d always felt.

However, the moment of awe was shattered when her grandfather said it was a gift from her father. That was when she wanted to drop the bow like hot coal. She didn’t want anything to do with him. Not with the man who had abandoned her at birth.

And yet… the weapon was unnatural. How could her good for nothing father have this?

“What on earth is going on? Who was my father? Why is there a dragon in front of the shrine?!” she demanded.

The old monk sighed. "This is all rather complicated to explain, especially at this moment, but I promise I'll tell you the entire story as soon as this monster is handled. There isn't the time right now," her grandfather said. "For the moment, the most important thing to know is that this dragon is evil, and must be destroyed before it can rampage any further. And at the moment, only someone like you can hope to do it." He turned to look at Minako, sensing something familiar.

"And I have a feeling that you are just like my granddaughter, correct? If you can fight, may I humbly ask that you help her?" Artemis looked like he was about to protest, but the dragon roared and pushed against the barrier again, and he changed his mind.

"I guess we have no choice..." Artemis said. "Dragons are only weak near the eyes and in their mouths, so we need to attack there! You know, before it destroys this entire shrine..."

She couldn’t believe her grandfather had been keeping a secret from her all this time. And he chose to wait until their lives were in peril before he promised to tell her? Someone was going to get a lot of yelling later for sure.

Someone like me? And just what exactly is that?

She turned in surprise toward the blonde when her grandfather said she was just like Rei, whatever it meant. How would he even know that? Was there a mark on them that she wasn’t aware of that spelled ‘unnatural’ or something?

And then the man that came with the blonde started telling her about the weakness of dragons as if he was reciting some kind of trivia. Who are you people?!

Rei was pissed that no one was answering her questions, but she supposed first she had to make sure everyone survived to answer said questions later. She picked up the arrows that came with the bow and notched one almost automatically, as if she had done it a thousand times. She practiced archery, for sure, but every bow was different, and yet this one melded easily with her hands as if it was made for her. She felt as familiar with it as if she had used it all her life.

Pushing her doubts aside, she aimed at the dragon’s right eye and held her breath. For one moment all the noises in the world seemed to disappear, and her focus narrowed into her target and nothing else. She eased the grip on her fingers and released the arrow along with her breath.

Rei's arrow cut through the air with pinpoint accuracy, even faster and straighter than it most likely should have flown. The dragon's roar of pain shook the trees as it pulled its head back, hot, golden ichor rolling down the right side of its face and dripping to the ground. Half blinded, it turned to look at the girl who had dared to injure it. One of the dragon's eyes was shut now, but it looked just as angry as before. Smoke poured from between its teeth, and Artemis gasped as he realized what it was doing.

"It's going to breathe fire!" The dragon stood just outside the shrine gates, opened its jaw, and a torrent of flames gushed out, striking the stone staircase and crawling towards the group of people.

Her aim was true, truer than it had ever been. She shivered as golden blood began to drip from the dragon’s wound, further underscoring the fact that this was a creature from another realm than the one she knew. Her heart skipped a beat as the dragon stared at her directly, its anger pouring off of it.

The warning from the stranger came almost too late; Rei grabbed her grandfather and turned to run deeper into the shrine as the flames rushed toward them, barely able to get out of the way just in time.

“Now what?!” she yelled, wishing for this nightmare to be over soon.

Ami was shocked as a girl took on the lion. Was she crazy? She could get hurt, she should get out of there! Part of her wanted to help, but another part of her was still too terrified to move. What should she do? How could she help?
