Hello! (You can totally skip the blabla and just watch the videos if you want)

So this year was the Canadian Qualifications for the World Cosplay Summit (WCS). It will be the first year Canada will enter not only as an official country joining the competition but now as a true participant (there's a one year gap where the newly joined country is only here as spectator).

Those Qualifications happened at Otakuthon Montreal where seven teams worked hard for the champion title. The lucky team (that will be revealed below) will go to Japan and represent their country (some of you already know how it works but still repeating in case...) next year.

This year's WCS crowned:
-Team Mexico : first place
-Team Italy : second place
-Team USA: third place and best costumes

I wanted to include the next year's participants for the US but apparently the preliminaries didn't happen yet, so stay tuned I guess.

I apologize already for this show being bilingual. The MC actually repeats everything in both languages, so you cannot lose anything he says, but it makes for a longer presentation (even the entries introductions are both in french and english, so you will not get confused I promise  - and the performances are in english).

The duration of each video (excluding the introduction one) is +/- four minutes and the skits are usually roughly 02:00 or 02:30.

This video is mostly the MC introducing the judges (that include the two cosplayers that won last year to represent Canada as a spectator country). It could be interesting for the explanation about the overall event, but not needed.

Phew! This was it for the marvelous talents Canada had to offer this year for next year's competition.

I gave some bonus information about their interview bits, but if someone is interested, I can post it also. The reason I didn't do it now is that I will probably have to translate some parts, which I will if there is an interest for their work
