Character Image:  Nephrite has wavy dark brown hair that goes past his shoulders, and brown eyes. He wears silver stud earrings and a few iron rings on his hand. He's around 6 feet tall with a broad chest and shoulders, and is physically fit. He doesn't have many outfits, as he spends most of his time traveling around to find jobs. His hunter uniform is a pair of dark grey cargo pants with multiple pockets to hide things in, and a pair of steel soled and toed hiking boots. He wears a red and black tee shirt under his dark green trench coat. He wears a heavy belt with more equipment on it, and a crossbow and quiver of ammo is strapped to his back when he's on hunts. Hidden in his boot and strapped to one arm are two knife sheathes.

Storyline Specific Information: 

The Hunted Hunter:  Nephrite is an expert on the supernatural, and often tracks down and kills dangerous creatures that live among the unsuspecting population of modern day Japan. When  Jadeite, a close friend of his, is murdered in Tokyo by what he suspects was a werewolf attack, he journeys to the city to hunt for both the beast and his revenge. But as he investigates the bloody trail left behind, he meets a young woman named Makoto and finds himself falling in love with her. Makoto is not all that she seems though, whether she is aware of it or not.

Additional Information:

Personality: Nephrite has a bold and strong personality, and is a straightforward kind of man when he interacts with people. His preferred tactic is brute force, but he is still intelligent enough to come up with loose plans to accomplish his goals. He is very in tune with people's emotions and needs, which allows him to read them very well, and even manipulate them if needed. Ironically, he has a short temper, low patience for when things go wrong, and often wears his emotions on his sleeve for others to see. His feelings are a secret to no one, but he tends to not stew on them for very long once he's expressed them. He is very proud of himself, which can often lead to his downfall when he underestimates someone. 

Nephrite likes being over the top when he can, enjoying the elaborate comforts of life, like fancy cars, big houses, and fine food. This also extends to his views on romance, and if he's trying to impress someone, he will pull out all the stops to get their attention. His attentiveness and ability to read others in social situations makes him popular with the women.

Nephrite doesn't shy away from excitement and danger, but he is capable of sitting down and doing nothing but relaxing. He never turns down a new challenge though, and will try any skill or activity that catches his eye, though only a few actually stick with him. He hates being toyed with, and would rather someone tell him upfront that they dislike him than act passive aggressive. 

History: Nephrite was born to a family that was part of a secret organization, one meant to protect society from supernatural creatures and occurrences. Both of his parents were accomplished monster hunters, and as soon as he was old enough to start training, he became one too. As a blood member of the Order of Shitennou, he was gifted with certain abilities that helped place him on even footing with his prey, and he quickly learned the skills needed to track down and kill monsters. He and Jadeite grew up together, and they had a close bond even when they went on separate paths to take on their own jobs. Nephrite separated form his parents when he was 18, moving around Japan and taking on various monster hunting jobs people hired him for. 

Powers and Magical Items: 
Sharpened senses: Nephrite was born with sharper hearing and sight to increase his reaction time in battles.

Star Reading: Using Astrology, Nephrite can predict future events and track the supernatural.

Combat Training: He can use a whole host of weapons proficiently.

RP Sample: 


Nephrite sped down the highway in his van, his hands gripping the steering wheel harder than necessary. The Tokyo newspaper he had read hours ago was still folded on the seat beside him, the front headline being the murder of Jadeite Higashi. His parents had sent the edition to him in the mail, and he had been in Kyoto trying to flush out a ghost when it finally got to him. Nephrite had abandoned the chase as soon as he got the news, and started his five hour drive back to the capital city.


He couldn't believe his friend was dead. And by what he could learn form the report, it had not been a mugging gone wrong. The claw marks, the fang wounds, and the prints left behind said one thing to him. This was a werewolf killing. But if he could get there fast enough, he might be able to find the one that did it. 


Werewolves were deadlier than other mythical beasts, but they weren't very good at covering their own tracks when they attacked, as they still acted like animals. It must have left a trail behind to follow, even if conventional authorities didn't know the signs of one. A member of the Order of Shitennou would have the tools to find it though, and Nephrite was determined to get his revenge before that beast decided to become a serial murderer, or worse yet, infect someone else.
