| - Puella Magi Madoka Magica:
Advanced Character Profile Character Name: Ami Mizuno Gender: Female Age and Date of Birth: 16 / September 10th Used Canons: Both Sailor Moon and Puella Magi Madoka Magica anime and manga canons. Appearance: Ami has short blue hair and blue eyes. She also occasionally wears glasses when studying or reading. She stands at about 5’2” or 157 cm. Ami’s clothing style is usually more on the conservative side. Ami is most often seen in her Azabu-Juban school uniform. Her preferred color to wear is blue. Personality: Ami is a shy and reserved girl with little self-confidence. She doesn’t make friends easily, mostly because of how intelligent she is (her IQ is said to be 300) and how that often leads her peers to talk about her behind her back and mock her out of jealousy. Because of her shyness and the fact she always finishes at the top of all kinds of exams, they think she is arrogant and doesn’t want to socialize with people less smart than herself. In truth, it’s just the opposite. Ami feels that her intelligence is the only good thing about her, and doesn’t believe she’s worth for much else. It also doesn’t help that her mother, who’s a doctor, sets a high bar for her expectations and wants Ami to follow her footsteps. Ami does dream of becoming a doctor like her mother, but she also desires friends and love. Love isn’t something that’s present in Ami’s life. Her mother is always busy working and barely has time to see her, let alone spend time with her. Her parents are divorced and she has not seen her father since she was very little. As a painter, he’s always off somewhere in the world and only occasionally sends Ami postcards or paintings that sometimes don’t even include any personal message. As a result, Ami’s life is mostly filled with solitude. It’s what causes her to pull away from everyone and chooses to spend most of her time reading or studying—it’s where she finds peace. Having been stuck in solitude for years, Ami becomes easy prey for Kyubey, who offers her anything she wants in the world in exchange for being a magical girl. The idea that she, the girl nobody cares about—the shy and reserved girl who could only dream of being someone who mattered beyond her intelligence—could become a protector and a defender of good was just too much to resist. Ami dreams of how life would be if she were to become, essentially, a heroine in her own story. How even though people still wouldn’t know who she was, she would know. She would know her worth, her service to the world, what good things she had done for other people. It was that desire to do something important, to be able to feel more confident because of what she did that pushed her into making a contract with Kyubey. After seeing the consequences of her wish, Ami becomes somewhat bitter. She has lost all faith in everything. Because if even magic can’t give her happiness, then what can? Any Unique Abilities/Skills: Ami is exceptionally good at chess and any kind of strategic game. She is also a fast learner of arcade games. Her brain absorbs information as well as analyzes them easily. History: For as long as she can remember, Ami has lived with only her mother and the distant shadow of her father. They got divorced when she was very little, and since then she only received the occasional message from him. She does not know him, though she sometimes she likes to daydream that he’s off somewhere doing secret important things like saving the world. From a young age her mother has encouraged her to excel in academics. Ami admires her mother’s work as a doctor and wishes to be one as well. To do this, her mother said she needs to study hard, and so she does. Partly to make her proud and partly for herself. To her surprise, she’s actually good at it. Studying comes easily to her and she comes to enjoy it. Soon, she was acing all her classes almost without effort and her name became known as the smartest student at school. Her reputation as well as her reserved attitude created a distance between her and her peers. The other students either felt intimidated by her or outright disliked her. Others thought she was boring and uninteresting because she had her nose in her books all the time. And so Ami found it difficult to make friends. Even the few other smart students were only interested in forming study groups with her and would then leave once classes were over. In her spare time, Ami was always alone. The loneliness never changed. Not since from primary school, not all the way up to high school. By the time she was sixteen, Ami’s loneliness had become such a huge shadow pushing her down and threatening to swallow her whole. And that was when she met what she thought was her savior. Sure, it was a creature that appeared out of nowhere one day on her way home from school, one who made promises that seemed too good to be true. Normally Ami was smarter than this—she was the smartest—but that day, her loneliness and desperation won out, blinding her to the possible consequences of what she chose to do. She entered into a contract without reading all the fine print and gave up her soul to the Incubator. She made her wish, and it was to have friends. As simple as that. And she did get it the day after. The moment she stepped into class, the other students flocked her. They all admired her. Suddenly, she was popular. Everyone liked how smart she was and wanted her to teach them things. Nobody was being fake about it and asked her if they could copy her homework. They genuinely adored her and wanted her to share her knowledge with them; everything Ami had ever wanted. Her joy that day was indescribable. It was as if she’d been living half a life all this time in some shadowy, black-and-white world, and then suddenly colors burst all around her. So this was what it felt like to be happy. Ami embraced her new friends, at first uncertainly, but then wholeheartedly. They all loved her. They loved her just the way she was. Everything was perfect. But then she realized it was too perfect. The first couple of times she’d made a mistake or let some of them down and they brushed it off like it was nothing hardly bothered her. But then their ever-present smiles and unchanging adoration started to feel unnatural. Suddenly Ami was tired of living in this eternally cheerful world. Her ‘friends’ did not behave like normal people would. They never fought, no matter how small, and they always said yes to whatever she liked, no matter how outrageous. She could ask them any favor and they’d do it. She tried being awful to them and still they came back the next day as if nothing ever happened. They were not her friends. They were her loyal subjects. And the thought terrified her. She confronted Kyubey about it, but the creature simply said that he had given her what she wished for. Perfect friends. Friends who would never, ever hurt her. Who would adore her for all time. Ami felt sick when she realized this was what the magic did. It practically turned her classmates into zombies. And it was all her fault. There was nothing she could do to take it back. And worse, now she had to fight witches as part of the deal, too, risking her life every day. What had she done? By day, Ami was surrounded by people who showered her with praises, but she felt lonelier than she had ever been. The only way for her to deal with them without losing her mind was by hardening her heart and turning off her emotions. She became colder and, when she simply had no more patience for it, she would ask them to leave her alone. That was what usually made them saddest—the only negative emotion they ever showed around her—but Ami knew that that feeling, too, was not real. Still, the guilt of what she’d done to these people also weighted heavily on her shoulders. By night she was truly alone again, which felt almost like a breath of fresh air. She didn’t realize how much she missed it. She actually grew to like the fight—the ability to vent out her frustration for the way Kyubey manipulated her and her wish as well as her own foolishness. She threw all of it into the battles, striking down witches left and right with ease. It surprised her, but she actually became a pretty decent magical girl, and that felt somewhat good. If she couldn’t give her ‘friends’ their real lives back, at least she was saving others’ by eliminating the witches from the world. She decided that this was her penance. Other Noteworthy Facts: Star sign: Virgo Blood Type: A Favorite gem: Sapphire Favorite flower: Water lilies Favorite school subjects: Mathematics Least favorite school subjects: None School clubs: Computer club Favorite sport: Swimming Favorite food: Sandwiches, anmitsu Least favorite food: Japanese amberjack Favorite colors: Aquamarine, blue Guilty pleasures: Romance novels, pop culture Storyline Specific Information: Puella Magi Usagi Magica: In this storyline, Ami is not a senshi, but a magical girl who has made a contract with Kyubey. She is largely the same person as in the Sailor Moon universe, except she carries a lot more bitterness and guilt from the way her life has taken a turn. Magical Girl Information Realm of Influence(s): Ice Magical Girl Form: Ami’s signature color is blue. The top part of her outfit is an off-the-shoulder blue top with gold trim. There are white wing accents on top of each side just below her shoulders. The sleeves appear as if they were entirely separate from the top yet have the exact same color and reach all the way to her wrists. A blue jewel in the shape of a teardrop sits on the center below the top's neckline, right on top of her heart. This is her Soul Gem. Beneath the top there are three layers of pleated skirt. The colors form a gradient from top to bottom; dark blue to light blue. The material is both loose and shimmery, giving the illusion of flowing water when she moves. On top of it there's something resembling the bottom of a cape, again in dark blue trimmed with gold, made of a sturdier material than the skirt. The skirt reaches to around her thighs, leaving a small part of bare flesh between it and her blue thigh high stockings. For her shoes, she wears dark blue knee high boots with gold accents. She also wears a blue choker around her neck. Rough image: (not entirely accurate, obviously the skirt should be blue instead of pink, the Soul Gem is missing, etc) Powers: Ami’s attacks manifest in ice projectiles. She could create virtually anything out of ice; walls, platforms, shields, crude one-use only weapons that she can hurl at the enemy. Sometimes she doesn’t bother shaping them beyond the basic sharp icicle form which is already deadly enough as it is. She can trap or encase a witch completely in ice, disabling their movements momentarily. When she has weakened a witch considerably, she can freeze them solid and then destroy them with one hit. Weapons or Magical Items: Ami’s main weapon is a white long sword with a blue tint that looks as if it were made of ice. However, it’s as strong as steel and can cut down a witch. While she relies on her ice projectiles for long distance attacks, her sword is what she uses in combats that are more up close. Guardian: N/A RP Sample: “Are you sure you don’t want any of us to accompany you home?” Their puppy dog eyes were the worst. They gave her a sick feeling tinged with guilt like no other. It was like denying your pet a treat for no reason other than your selfishness, while simultaneously knowing deep down they didn’t really want it anyway. They only made you think they did… because you screwed with their head. And that made her feel even guiltier. Tired of the mess of emotions that constantly plagued her—the ones she had no idea what to do with—Ami simply nodded her head curtly and turned, determined not to look at them anymore. The living dead girls. Her ‘friends’. The ones she had cursed with her wish. She briefly considered moving schools, wondering what that would do to them. Surely if she wasn’t around, they would go back to normal? When they didn’t have the person they had to treat like a queen in their lives anymore, what would happen to them? Would they be able to forget her? Or would they look for her no matter how far she went? Fall into despair if she couldn’t be found? Had she become the center of their lives without realizing it? Shuddering, Ami quickened her steps away from the school gate. There was no telling what would happen if she took herself out of the equation. For all she knew, she’d probably do them more harm than good. And she couldn’t afford that anymore. Besides, her mother would not understand why she would want to move halfway through the school year. She’d raise too many questions, questions she didn’t need right now. She had barely dropped her things at her apartment before she went straight back out, already fishing out the necklace holding her Soul Gem from beneath her shirt. She transformed as she walked, moving briskly toward the spot where she’d stumbled into a witch’s labyrinth yesterday. She had not been able to finish the fight because the witch kept going into hiding further into the labyrinth, and she hated unfinished fights more than anything. It was like a persistent itch and she had been anxious all day about it. Gripping her sword as she stepped into the labyrinth, Ami was pleased to note that she had caught the witch off guard. She was right there in front of her. With her first smile all day, Ami launched into the fight, her soul thirsty for the witch’s demise.
- Harry Potter:
Relaxed Character Profile Character Name: Ami Mizuno Gender: Female Age: 14 Character Image: Storyline Specific Information: Usagi Tsukino and the Lunar Prophecy: Once upon a time, the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry took a stand against the ultimate evil. A group that consisted of mostly Gryffindor students managed to save the wizarding world from the most dangerous wizard it had ever known. But now, years later, a new threat loomed in the horizon. This time, a single Hogwarts house wasn’t going to be enough to save the world. This time, it would require all four to stand united. Unbeknownst to the students, one of the teachers at the school had found a darkness entity slumbering deep underground in a cave near the school. Always been a witch who's attracted to the darker side of magic, Professor Beryl answered the plea to free the evil in exchange for the promise of power. The darkness called itself Metalia, and she was still weak as of now. She needed a power source to be truly awakened... A new Chosen One legend was born. A prophecy spoke of a girl with a dormant power lying inside her, the only power in the world that was strong enough to eradicate the most dangerous evil ever seen since He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. But that power was not awakened yet. It was not even whole yet. The prophecy said that it was divided into seven pieces and scattered across the realm, and whichever side managed to gather them all first would have the balance tipped in their favor. Can the good guys find these seven pieces before the bad guys do, awaken their savior, and win the war? The race for the seven Rainbow Crystals is on… In this storyline, Ami is a witch who attends Hogwarts and a member of the Ravenclaw house. When she realizes Usagi might be the girl from the prophecy and her friends insist they must protect her, Ami could not say no. She doesn't really know what she's getting involved in, but it is to save the world, right? Additional Information: Ami is a really serious, studious girl. For her, the academics is the most important thing. Her mother is an accomplished Healer and Ami has always aspired to be like her. Long ago, her mother fell in love with her father—a Muggle painter—but their relationship didn’t quite work out, perhaps because of their different worlds. So they separated and Ami rarely sees her father anymore. All she ever gets from him are birthday letters and the occasional painting he sends from wherever he is at the moment. Because of her mother’s busy schedule, she rarely sees her too, so being in Hogwarts is actually a bit nicer, being surrounded by so many people. Still, she struggles with making friends, even among her fellow Ravenclaws. Most of them prefer to study on their own, and the less serious ones see her as strange and snobby, like she’s too good for them because she’s consistently earning the most points and being at the top of her class. Ami is the model student and even the thought of breaking rules make her blanch. Being the smartest girl in her year definitely gives her a reputation, though she has discovered it’s both good and bad. She tells herself she isn’t lonely, that all that matters is being the best student—which she definitely is—but she knows she’s lying to herself. She got a Time Turner from one of her professors who encourages her to take more classes if she wishes to, and she uses the time to do just that. It’s like her thirst for knowledge is never quenched, when in reality she’s drowning herself in as much studying as possible so she won’t notice that she’s feeling lonely. When she runs into a girl named Makoto from Hufflepuff and they inexplicably start hanging out together, it feels odd… but also nice. Most of their interactions don’t even involve talking too much, rather just being there for each other in companionable silence. Then she runs into Rei, who to be honest terrifies her, but soon discovers she’s not that scary after all and that she has a good heart. Finally comes Minako, the popular Slytherin girl, the one Ami cannot figure out. What could she possibly want with a bunch of girls who don’t quite fit in? And then there’s Usagi. The squib girl who gets enrolled in Hogwarts under mysterious circumstances. She doesn’t even practice magic, and yet she’s here. Ami senses there’s something more with her, and when the others begin whispering that she might be the girl from the prophecy, she can’t believe they’re seriously considering looking for these seven pieces of power from the prophecy and trying to save the world. But then again, it sounds like a pretty nice idea… even if it will likely get them into tons of trouble. Source: N/A RP Sample: As Ami sat by the Great Lake, watching the Giant Squid squirt water to passing students—but oddly never at her—she let the tranquility of the blue water reflecting the golden sun soothe her. It almost felt like a perfect day. And she wasn’t even alone like she usually was. Beside her were Rei, Makoto, Minako… and Usagi. She didn’t quite know how she managed to gain these… friends, if they could be called that, but she had. For some odd reason, they seemed to not mind hanging out with her, and it wasn’t for homework help, either. Sure, sometimes one of them would ask her to teach them something related to their classes, but no one had ever asked to copy her homework or take any shortcuts. They genuinely wanted to learn, and it wasn’t always about tutoring either. Sometimes, like today, they were talking. Well, the four of them talked while Ami mostly listened. She watched Minako speak animatedly about something, her golden hair shining, her blue eyes twinkling. She was gorgeous and popular and Ami didn’t understand what she was doing here. While she had let Makoto and Rei in, she still remained wary about Minako, not able to let herself trust the girl just yet. As for Usagi… well… a shiver ran down her spine as she thought about the incident that had landed the squib in this school. Could she really be the girl from the prophecy? The one destined to rid the world of a powerful evil? And if so, was Ami really supposed to be one of her friends? It seemed like too good a position to give to a boring girl like her. Hogwarts Student Information House: Ravenclaw Year: Fourth Pet: A brown and white barn owl called Hermes Magical Items:
- Wand - Willow, 10", with a core of Merfolk hair
- Broom - Silver Arrow
- Time Turner - A magical device that allows its wearer to go back in time. Given to Ami by one of her professors.
- Sword Art Online:
Relaxed Character Profile Character Name: Ami Mizuno Gender: Female Age: 14 Character Image: Storyline Specific Information: It is the year 2015, and finally the world's most anticipated MMORPG, Sailor Art Online, has just been released. Thousands of players from all over the world are excited to enter the Silver Millennium, an artificial world covered in monsters, weapons, unique scenery, and most imporantly, adventure. Usagi Tsukino and her friends were all lucky enough to score the limited release of the game. The game is activated using the Nerve Gear, a virtual reality helmet that stimulates the user's five senses via their brain. On the day of the game's release, Ami, along with citizens all over the world, slip into their Nerve Gear and enter the astonishing world of the Silver Millennium. But unknown to them, the person behind the Silver Millennium has other plans for them. While in the game, Ami realize that the log out button has been removed from their menus, and they are unable to leave the game. This causes panic all throughout the game. Players are taken by surprise when a bell rings, summoning them all to the main city in the game. Once all players have assembled, a strange figure shrouded in dark clouds appears, telling them that they are all stuck in the game until they beat all 100 floors of the game's main dungeon: D Point. The figure also reveals that if the players try to remove their Nerve Gear, or if someone in the outside world removes it, the Gear's microwave transceivers will fry the player's brain and kill them. Additionally, if they die in the game, they die in real life. This news sends the players in the Silver Millennium into complete chaos, all fearful for their life. Ami decide to join together with some of the other players to try and beat the game, but there are huge risks to making such an attempt. Who will make it to the 100th floor, and what will be lost along the way? Additional Information: Ami is a shy and reserved girl with little self-confidence. She does’t make friends easily, mostly because of how intelligent she is (her IQ is said to be 300) and how that often led her peers to talk about her behind her back and mock her out of jealousy. Her parents are divorced and her father is never seen. As a result, Ami’s life is mostly filled with solitude. It’s what causes her to pull away from everyone and chooses to spend most of her time reading or studying—it’s where she finds peace. And it’s what eventually pushes her in search of another world. A world where she could become someone else, someone more interesting. That’s how she discovered the world of virtual reality gaming. Creating her avatar is her way of leaving her identity behind and restarting from scratch. When she finds out the game is killing people, Ami becomes determined to save as many players as possible, a desire that’s in line with her dream to become a doctor in the real world. Source: N/A RP Sample:Ami could feel herself shaking after the chilling announcement. Trapped in this game… with the risk of dying. This was what she got for trying to play a game to fulfill her childish desire to become someone else for a while. What a stupid notion. Her mother had never approved of frivolous things like this and would surely be very disappointed and angry with her when she discovered what Ami had done and gotten herself into. She’d used up a considerable amount of her allowance to buy this stupid game, and now look what happened. She supposed it was true what her mother always said; games could fry your brain. Well, she almost laughed at the irony, that’s literally happening right now. This was her punishment. She had all she ever wanted in the real world; a comfortable home, good grades, a successful future… and now she had thrown it all away. What would her teachers say now if they knew what had happened to her? She’d effectively doomed herself. If they managed to get out of here at all, if she managed to survive until that time, how many years would have passed? One, two, twenty? Instead of skipping a grade, she was going to be left so behind. Ami watched her future as a doctor crumble before her very eyes. She might as well never make it out of here alive. It was a better alternative than getting out and facing everyone she’d disappointed out there. SAO Avatar Information Avatar Name: Sailor Mercury Avatar Appearance: Her outfit is roughly like this, with a long hooded cape and a sailor collar. Her colors are shades of blue to signify her Water element. She does not carry a wand because she prefers to cast spells with her hands. Class: Water Mage Guild: Lunar Champions Weapons: Ami doesn't use a physical weapon because she's a mage, so she relies mostly on her magic spells and element. She's also not a fighter either. However, when necessary, she can fashion a sword or another weapon made out of water that can she attempt to defend herself with. It can gain solidity and become like a regular weapon, but they don't last long. Skills & Powers:Her primary skill is to manipulate the water element. This means she is able to create water projectiles or shape them into various objects which would gain temporary solidity when used against an enemy, as well as summoning them from the ground. First Aid: The skill to treat an injury or wound in the field with minimal equipment. Battle Healing: Recover low amounts of HP over time during battle. Additionally, as a mage, her specialty is in healing magic which can replenish HP of other players as well. Casting healing spells (or any kind of other magic) cost her MP.

| This was heart breaking to read. Poor Ami, I just want to hug her. I loved reading how the wish has changed her, as it's such a fascinating thing to explore. This storyline has so much potential for angst <3

| Subject: [Relaxed] Civilian - Ami Mizuno / Sailor Mercury [Crossover] 29th June 2015, 11:55 pm | |
Because of her shyness and the fact she always finishes at the top of all kinds of exams, they thought she was arrogant and didn’t want to socialize with people less smart than herself. Her parents are divorced and her father is never seen. Class: Water Mage Guild: Lunar ChampionsWeapons: Ami doesn't use a physical weapon because she's a mage, so she relies mostly on her magic spells and element.

| I forgot to add in her guild so I've added that. Also revised her skills so it fits with the SAO list. However I was wondering where to put her elemental power since they are originally not in SAO. Should I replace one of the two skills with the elemental power or add it as a third? |

| I like to look at it as the element being a Primary Skill, and then the other skills are Secondary Skills. The Secondary ones are the ones that are switched out, so don't worry about that Just explain the abilities Mercury has with water, and you're good to go. You can integrate her water abilities with her skills, too! |

| Alright, cool! I've added that back under primary skill. Not sure how to incorporate it into the other two at the moment, but maybe later I'll think of something xD
All changes are in blue. |
