I'm actually really excited for this because I've been dying to see the designs for Saturn, Uranus and Neptune in Crystal's style for a while now

I found this on tumblr today. It's a new Sailor Moon Crystal calendar. 
I just love how they don't look lifeless like a lot of other SMC merchandise. Maybe it's a good sign for the new season.

I don't know what it is. They just look... Brighter, I guess? More lively like you said?

I hope they give Sailor Saturn a transformation sequence.

I really like the image on the calander. There's subtle touches to the drawings that are fantastic! I love the lips!

Oh my gosh, they look so lovely! I especially love Venus and Mercury; they look so much more alive! And...are those subtle character differences I'm spotting?

although Chibs' legs do not look attached to the rest of her body but meh that sort of thing happened a lot in the original manga

I'm definitely on the train of, "Oh God, Crystal please don't mess this up" and "I can't wait to see the Outer Senshi." And definitely hoping for that Saturn transformation sequence.

Oooh chibi moon actually looks really cute on that photo posted.

I hope we get to see some promo image for the Infinity/Death Busters arc soon and by soon I mean not a year or more later. ;_;

Yeah I've noticed that they've been making them look more 'lively' in the official art. Hopefully this translates into the actual show as well.

I am noticing the differences! Granted, I haven't seen the entirety of Crystal yet, but the character designs are steadily improving.

The new artwork looks really good. The senshi look alive and are emoting. Seriously, they have more personality in those image than in the entirety of Crystal.

My friend and I were talking the other day and apprently she had the same thoght I had:What if Toei animates the short stories and Codename:Sailor V too? I think it would be interesting if they did the Exam Battles as a little filler arc between Infinity and Dream. And maybe Chibiusa's Picture Diaries as OVAs or something.

If its going to be broadcasted on TV first, then most likely no. Dragonball Super airs weekly and as far as I know is not on any online tv watching website like NicoNico and the like. They aren't even subbing it immediately like they did with SMC for an international english speaking release. I would think that might be some indication on how Toei may handle it.

If its going to be a tv broadcast, that means its getting a bigger budget... I wish that means they could go back and fix the whole of the first season. :/

I don't know that we can judge the situation with Crystal based on the situation with Dragon Ball Super because they're both being handled in highly different ways.  In the case with Dragon Ball Super, most fans are fairly certain the reason why we haven't seen it streamed yet is because Funimation is trying to secure a TV broadcast deal for American TV and are probably waiting for more episodes to be released to dub them for TV.   As far as I'm aware, there's no plans at the moment to show Crystal on American TV and most other anime that air on Japanese TV still get simulcast streaming on Hulu and Crunchyroll.  One Piece and World Trigger are two other Toei shows that air weekly on Japanese TV and they still get simulcast releases on American streaming sites.  I don't know what this means for international fans but hopefully they'll still put it up on Niconico for Sailor Moon fans who live outside the U.S.

Yes! Hopefully this means we won't have to wait 6 months to get to the Dream arc like we did with the bi weekly broadcast schedule. I wonder also if the change in broadcast frequency and format (TV vs online streaming) means Toei is giving Crystal a bigger budget. We know there's been a ton of Sailor Moon merchandise since the new anime was announced; maybe that's where the money is coming from, and Toei is hoping a TV broadcast will further drive merchandise sales?

I really hope they do give it a bigger budget so it'll get the attention it deserves.

This is such a cute picture of chibimoon! It might just be me, but aren't the bodies looking a little more proportional now? I really love the improved facial expressions. They remind me of the improvements that were only seen on the blu-rays. Hopefully this will be the new standard of SMC in the infinity arc.

I know this is early, but I'm already looking forward to the DVD/Bluray covers for the new season.

Me too! I especially can't wait to see Saturn's Bluray cover! And if they do get to the Dream arc, then those Bluray covers...

Disappointed in the OP.  It's CALLED THE INFINITY ARC!!!  Yes, it deals with Death Busters, but the MANGA says INFINITY!!!!

The calendar image doesn't look half bad! Also, does anyone know what time in 2016? are we talking the summertime like last time or..?

That might be true, but its an honest mistake and some fans associate the breakdown of the seasons with the 90s anime and apply that to the manga as well. Technically the "Black Moon Arc" doesn't have a name according to the manga (unlike Infinity, Dream and Stars) but its generally accepted by the fans to call it that so we know which arc we're talking about.

I haven't heard anything about a date. Lets hope they don't pull like what they did in the beginning... Has anyone else seen anything?

I'm glad that it'll be weekly instead of bi-weekly when it airs next year!  March seems like a good time for it to come out and that also seems to be the month for lots of other things releasing next year already!

Yah, March does seem to be the month when Toei is releasing a bunch of their stuff, for example, the 2nd new Digimon Tri movie is coming out in March.
