As much as some of us like to gripe about the animation errors here on GC, I've found that the animation errors in Crystal can be incredibly entertaining on a "so bad it's good" level. This thread isn't a worst-of-the-worst thread, but one to poke fun at some of the more questionable moments of the animation. Post some of your favorites here!






This one was featured prominently in the Black Moon trailer. It cracks me up every time I see it. Minako looks so confident in whatever proclamation she has to make, but her eyes are so crossed that she looks moronic. Usagi's face (which is actually decent) makes it seem like she's really into what Minako's saying, but Ami's equally derp face makes it look like she's questioning Minako's sanity. It busts me up.

Pretty much all the errors in episode 3. That was the worst one out of the 13 we've seen so far. I mean, look at these













the list can go on. This episode was a disaster, and apparently even more errors were added on the BR/DVD release, according to Ai-no-Senshi.net

I really enjoy Crystal but I have to admit that the animation just sucks.

And honestly: WTF DID THEY DO WITH JADEITE'S EYES?!

Some of these look like the characters were done as Nintendo Mii's. Especially Minako in the OP and Ami in the arcade with Usagi.

I don't have time to find the image of it but it amazes me that the Blu-ray release managed to add errors that weren't even in the original airing.

I haven't watched Crystal, but this... looks like a Pokemon.

This is my favorite from the new BD errors.  Apparently they ended up giving Usagi Minakos' hair in one scene

^That's sad b/c otherwise they all look good in this screenshot

What's sad is that it looked perfectly fine in the TV broadcast and yet for some reason they made it worse in this scene on the BD.

This week's episode had some pretty awful errors. Toei giving Sailor Moon the wand stick has to be the most offensive of all though.



I laughed out loud when I saw it. How could you possibly mess this up?

^So bad. Chibiusa's eyes were often lopsided.

Mako-chan looked great throughout though.

I was watching a sailor moon commentary of this video so then the person who was watching this yelled out "DID SHE JUST SHRINK?!?! O_o Oh wait nvm shes the same size!"

I couldn't agree more. Then again, Sailor Moon being the cashcow classic that it is, There was no chance for Toei to let anyone else take a crack at it.
