New Viz subs vs old ADV subs

I recently checked Hulu and it looks like they'll be airing the new Viz subs for SuperS starting next Monday.

As a huge fan of SuperS, I'm a little tempted to watch the new subs, but I'm wondering how different is the new Viz subs from the old ADV/Pioneer subs? I have the old ADV DVDs for SuperS, and I can't imagine they'd be that much more different. :\ I guess my question really boils down to: is the new sub interesting enough to be worth checking out week after week?

I'm not fluent, but I'm an intermediate student of Japanese and I own the ADV subs.

ADV's were fairly literal; Viz does a lot more 'adapting'.

Hmm, by that do you mean they then to regionalize the translation more? i.e. change Japanese sayings into American idioms? Or do you mean their translation is even more loose than that?

American idioms, and occasionally changing what was actually said. they're very good about maintaining the tone of what was originally being said, though! so it's not like DIC lite or anything :'D

I do know that for some reason, Viz didn't translate "Gomen ne" or "shinjiteiru no" in the OP subs. I've only seen up to episode 26, so I don't know if it's the same for the R subs.
