| Advanced Character Profile Character Name: NikosGender: MaleAge and Date of Birth: 17; N/ALocation: EnyaliusUsed Canons: Hardcore Events; Sailor Enyalius's history Appearance: Nikos has dark hair, nearly black, cut just shorter than shoulder length and naturally curly, and an olive complexion normal for his area of the world. He is of middling height for a male - around 5'10" - and still growing. His physique is well-toned and muscled, kept in good condition through daily trails. His eyes are bronze, his facial hair kept to stubble length, else clean shaven - he does not yet want a beard. Being a soldier, Nikos normally wears a short brown chiton beneath a hard-leather-and-bronze curiass, complete with studded-leather battle skirt, greaves, caligae and bracers. He does not wear a helm, as he lost his in a fight, and cannot stand the idea of taking one off of a fallen soldier. He is armed with both a short-sword and long spear, as well as his metallic shield, and, unlike helmets, he has no qualms taking weapons from fallen warriors, especially as he is unsure as to whether they will stay down.Personality: Nikos is honest and straightforward, part of the discipline he has learned through nearly ten years of training with the army; however, uniformity and good training has not completely stomped out his natural personality, but nowadays he relies heavily on that training to make it through to the next hour, or, sometimes, the next breath. Life is stressful, and when Nikos is stressed, he does either one of two things: a) shuts it all out, concentrates on training, and becomes incredibly focused on the world around him, using everything he knows and has trained for to keep things going, or b) loses it. Sometimes the nerves, the intense concentration, and the incredible situation work together to overwhelm him, and the pressure erupts as bursts of disbelieving laughter, loud bouts of survival sarcasm, stating out loud the crazy things he is doing just to hear them spoken aloud that he might laugh at them and start letting go enough to focus. This makes Nikos both intense, and sporadically unpredictable. Sometimes, in bouts of suicidal thoughts mixed with or disguised as feelings of immortality, Nikos will attempt something stupid and incredibly dangerous, but so far it has worked out okay, so he's got that track record working for him.Given the current situations, surviving from minute to minute is all he has - that and a drive to make a difference before his inevitable death, whether that is defeating as many reanimated corpses as possible, or actually finding a way to defeat "Enyo." There is no way out now, so he's concentrating primarily on doing enough to get him into the Hero's afterlife, rather than the mundane one. *Note, as probably guessed, the afterlife believed in on Enyalius is similar to the Greek afterlife, with the Fields of Asphodel, Elysion, and Tartarus.Any Unique Abilities/Skills: During the events of Fields of Enyalius, Enyo cursed Nikos using the following phrase:"He will be the last man on this planet to die." While she intended it as a threat and a promise that she would end all life on planet Enyalius, it unintentionally sentenced Nikos to live forever, so long as there was at least one man alive on the planet. As she had tapped into the full potential of the Enyalius Crystal when cursing him, the contract is binding for as long as the Enyalius Crystal is active, and his longevity would wane should the Crystal ever melt down and reforge in the Galaxy Cauldron. This curse ensured that Nikos would not be harmed by anything under Enyo's control, which he used to his advantage during his alliance with the Senshi as they fought their way through the city towards Enyo's palace. History: Nikos was born less than a year after Liera ascended, marking a new era in history, a period of war and strife, and while the country Liera had helped formed held out for as long as they could, they knew the warring would soon reach them. The outlying areas were the first to break into total anarchy, each claiming that Sailor Enyalius was on their side, that they were chosen by her to be the victors of the battle, and would fight until the last man to make their prophecy come true, else literally die trying. Villages were run over by these warring factions whom believed through their prayers and sacrifice they would be blessed by their Battle Goddess and granted victory, and if they were victorious, then a) their sacrifices pleased Liera and they would make more, b) their cause was seen as Just in Liera's eyes, and so they would continue, and c) they must be the true Warriors of Enyalius, and it was their duty to spread their viewpoints and way of life across the land. As factions spread through battles and conversions, the armies grew ever larger, and so the clashes between them grew and grew. There was no stopping the tide of blood that prepared to crash upon the "holy land" Liera helped build, and so the only option left to the people living in that peaceful place was to prepare for the inevitable.Nikos was born in the capital city, the one Liera herself helped create after overthrowing the last cruel king. She had been there when the new ruler had been chosen, abdicating the throne at age 13 to pursue a life as a warrior and let wiser people lead in her stead, a wise move in and of itself. He grew up near the coliseum wherein Liera trained; when he was 9, he, too, trained at that very coliseum to become stronger and a better fighter, preparing for the time when their way of life would be challenged, simply because of where they lived. At first he treated the training as an adventure, taking pride in following in the senshi's footsteps; as he grew he became more serious about his training as refugees poured into the outer reaches of the kingdom, and their stories spread like wildfire: he would train so that he could protect his family and his country. It was then that he became disenchanted with the stories of Liera, for while there was nothing but good about her in records of the city and in memories of those who knew her, the stories spreading about deeds done in her name, of dark favors granted through barbaric acts, gave him doubt. Had their hero really fallen so far? How could she grant such terrible acts kind favors on the battlefield? Was she really lending her hand to aide in those despicable acts? His graduation from training at age 16 brought on a year of field-work, and so he and his year-mates headed north, led by the very man who had trained Liera ages ago. Under his leadership, they managed to hold the line when the first stray forces attacked their wall, not losing a single soldier in the fight. They were in the field for a year and more, repelling attacks made in the name of Liera, claims made by brutal madmen who believed they were doing work in her name. His General refuted these claims, called the men cowards and idiots, swore that she would never condone such actions and behaviors made by evil men. Time and time again they kept the line...Until five days ago, when a black winged Sailor Enyalius landed in the middle of an approaching army, and all hell broke loose. He didn't know how he survived when so many had not. He didn't know how his group had made it across the plains and back to his home city, and somehow avoided her notice. He didn't know how or where the idea came that they should be the one to kill her, for despite what their General, who had died that first day, had said, she was leading this army of death. He didn't even know if they could kill her, and yet there he was, in the city, facing her spirits and reanimated corpses in a hellish nightmare, fighting for the survival of his people and his planet - or what was left of them, anyway. Rather, that was what he was attempting if he were even still alive, which he was starting to doubt minute by minute. Things were far too strange to be real life, but for limbo...? Fields of Enyalius - After the death of his unit, Nikos was absorbed into a team of Senshi who had landed on the planet and intended to stop Liera - whom they called Enyalius (odd, but whatever), and who had started calling herself "Enyo". He served as their guide through the City, told them of what he knew when he was asked, and generally tried to a) keep them alive and b) kill Enyo whenever he could, so long as it wasn't a stupid move. It turned out, pretty much every attempt would have been a stupid move - the only clear shot he had she saw coming beforehand and Andromeda stepped in to protect him, ultimately saving him so well that Enyo cursed him to be the last man alive on the planet - an idea both invigorating, as nothing could kill him, and terrifying, for two reasons 1) if he died, that meant literally every man on his planet was dead, and 2) he may never be able to die and rest if they won.
Throughout their time together, Nikos grew to respect the "Aliens" - especially Andromeda, whom he may or may not have developed a crush on through how she treated him, how she stepped up as a leader, and how she handled everything thrown at her - not to mention natural attraction.
In the end they had no hand in killing Enyo, and the events afterward - though he had very little understanding of what happened and what it would mean for the universe, let alone his planet - resulted in Enyo's destruction and the departure of the Aliens in pursuit of "Chaos". Andromeda told him she may return, and he holds on to that knowledge and he faces the hardships left to him, namely the throng of Androktsiai that awaited him, still alive and thriving.
Being unkillable by these enemies, he intends to subdue them and find and rescue as many of his countrymen as he can, and lead the charge to take back their world, once and for all. The Warrior Princess and the Miraculous Enyalian - A week has passed since the aliens left Enyalius. A week spent fighting his way out of the city, finally putting to rest the horde of Androktsiai that haunted the planet, their bodies finally staying down when they should. Frightened but knowing what needed to be done, Nikos drew on his memory of Andromeda and her actions to embolden himself and face down the enemies of his planet. Slowly, he rescued people - actual, live Enyalians - and protected them, leading them back to the city with the idea they'd form a stronghold there, a city of hope for other survivors to find and thrive within, once they cleared it of the enemies still dwelling within. However, with everything that they had seen, they, too, were scared. Some too terrified to fight alongside him, some too terrified to move on, to face down the now defeatable threat and work towards the future that was so much brighter than before, and so he would tell them stories of her. Of Andromeda, beautiful savior of Enyalius. His stories made them brave, made them believe in the cause, lead them to follow him into battle against the undead that still roamed the land, and as their victories grew, tales of what they were doing spread, though Nikos did not realize what was actually being shared. He wanted everyone to know that they weren't giving up - that they should return to the city of Argive, that it would be made a shining city once more and that they would work together to make it so. Instead, stories of Nikos spread. That a leader had arisen, a true hero who was strong and brave and untouchable by the enemies. One who fought off hundreds to save a handful of strangers, who shouted down enemies and took chances that seemed impossible and made them real. One who would lead them out of this darkness. Stories of Nikos spread, of his plans for Argive, and those who could make it to the city, did. Those that couldn't, sent word and waited, encouraged by his mere presence in their world. His stories of the Lady Andromeda, or stories of his stories, were widespread and well known, though the figure seemed more like a vision to them than an actual woman; some believed that Nikos had been blessed by a goddess and taken as her consort, and that was why he was untouchable, but regardless of what they believed her to be, there was no doubt in anyone's mind of Nikos's love for her, as evidence of such was present in every pep talk he ever gave himself, every phrase he uttered in an attempt to embolden his people was words spoken of a man completely smitten. But whether she were real or not was up for question - Until the Lady Andromeda herself landed on the outskirts of their city, coming for a visit. The children of Argive - none of whom were killed by Enyo's forces, the evil force somehow maintaining some morality despite all evidence to the contrary - who worked as scouts and runners saw her immediately, and one of them, Kadera, led her to the Agora, where the main camp was set. There, Andromeda was met by a crowd of people who gave her a knowing smile when Kadera explained she had come to see Nikos - a smile Andromeda was a little nervous about as Kadera had immediately asked her if she had come to marry Nikos, this romantic angle being one that she had never really considered. They were met by the unofficial steward of Argive, Methodios, who had never put much stake in the claim that she was a goddess. A crazed vision of a young man broken by insanity who had climbed out of it himself, maybe, but not an ethereal being. That she physically appeared in exactly the way Nikos had described immediately and casually changed the competent man's thoughts about Nikos's recent past, and he immediately believed every story Nikos had ever uttered about that fateful day that Enyo was defeated and immediately put his faith in the young woman, deciding to treat her as he treated Nikos - an important part of their city, their country, and their world's future.Nikos met them not long after, returning from a particularly bloody clearing out of Androktsiai, and completely bumbled through most of what followed. Through a misunderstanding, he believed Andromeda - Kira - to have rebuffed his romantic advances before he had even started them, and he considered the relationship doomed to never start. He misunderstood her mention of a girl at camp as her thinking he should couple with the girl, rather than Kira, and so he invited the completely and utterly annoying young woman to dinner, where both he and Kira suffered under the girl's constant conversation up until Kira accidentally spilled wine on her when the girl tried to take control of the conversation after Kira had steered it towards a private joke made over events that only she and Nikos shared. The girl was taken away by Methodios, and Nikos and Kira were left alone. Looking for a worthy place for Kira to sleep, the pair of them - quite drunk - managed their way up the staircase towards the castle on top of the hill, intent to clear the castle so Kira could have one of the more comfortable beds of the city. They found no ghosts or undead, only a cat, and located a suite of one of the rulers of Argive, but rather than split up and Nikos go back to his own tent, Kira, not wanting to be alone in a potentially haunted castle on a cursed planet, asked him to stay, and he did.Other Noteworthy Facts: Storyline Specific Information: Fields of Enyalius: see historyThe Warrior Princess and the Miraculous Enyalian: While trying to save Sailor Enyalius after she got corrupted, Sailor Andromeda ended up in Planet Enyalius and met a soldier from there by the name of Nikos. He was the lone survivor in the battle that took place at the time of the senshi's arrival, and soon became their reluctant guide. Andromeda's intervention when Enyo - Sailor Enyalius' dark side - threatened Nikos' life "cursed" him to be the last person on the planet who would die, making him virtually invincible to all dangers on the planet. After everything was said and done and Enyo ended up dead while her Sailor Crystal was stolen, Andromeda promised to come back to Enyalius to help Nikos sort out the mess in there, once the group had defeated the Chaos general and retrieved the Enyalius Crystal, returning it to the Cauldron where it belonged. Now that mission was complete, and as promised, after a brief stop on her planet to rest and recuperate, Andromeda decided to return to Enyalius to see Nikos, completely unaware of his crush on her.RP Sample: - from Fields of Enyalius wrote:

Nikos threw his back against the side of a building, taking a deep breath, hearing his teammates breathing hard beside him. They had made it into the city. So far, so good. Not many had died, and that was a plus - I mean, hey, he was still alive, so that was even better for him, right? He leaned over to peer around the side of the building and saw them standing guard, their weapons too still at the ready. Right. Just have to get past them and keep going to the castle - that'd be where she's held up. Why? Who knew, maybe ruling corpses was her thing after all. Maybe 'ascending' made you crazy. Maybe she really does drink the blood of the fallen and she's incredibly thirsty. He barked a laugh, barely keeping his mouth shut. Several of his team shh'd him and he turned his wide eyes back to them, nodding - now was not the time to laugh, he knew. They were about to rush in to fight the corpses of the dead in an attempt to make it past them and deeper into the city to find and destroy what amounted to a Goddess.
He choked on his next laugh.
Piece of cake! Sure!
He choked again, then peeled away from the building and led on, his sword raised as his sandals hit the dirt, leading the charge silently. Somehow the usual battle cry of "Long Live Liera!" didn't seem to fit anymore. Was her hair truly the color of seafoam on waves? He sliced neatly through the neck of an Androktsiai, unfearful now of its blood, for there was none around who could control him now. With a heavy kick, he sent another flying, then launched onto a third without hesitation. He was surrounded, he was outnumbered, and he was untouchable.
Her eyes were tidal pools at midday, sea green and brimming with life. Theirs were flat and lifeless - he was doing them a favor by releasing them at last - this time, they didn't rise again. The trail of bodies he left in his wake stayed down, awaiting their burial and eternal rest for their souls. Once he found the survivors, they would come back for them and give them the ceremony they deserved.

Weapons or Magical Items: Can you add these please? he doesn't have any in particular - nothing that's attached to him, anyway. However, with recent occurrences in the HC event, I've added this to Other Noteworthy Facts: also if anyone is reading this and wondering how I'm able to play Nikos while he's still being approved, he doesn't actually need a profile as he's technically like an NPC in the active HC event, as Ribbon was before him; the profile is in case I want to use him in the future xD ♥ - Quote :
