Appearance:  Setsuna is usually seen with her dark emerald green hair tied up partially into a bun at the crown of her head, and the rest falling to the back of her knees.  The color of her hair is so dark, sometimes it is mistaken for black.  Her eyes are the color of aged rubies, and her skin is dark caramel coloured, adding to her otherworldly appearance.  She stands at a rather tall 5’9”, and her figure is curvy with slight muscle here and there.  She likes to be comfortable in what she wears over what’s popular, and you’ll often find her in a simple t-shirt and jeans though she does have a particular love for fancy blouses and skirts (as seen in the anime).  With her dream of becoming a fashion designer realized finally, she likes to combine what she makes, be it comfortable or stylish into whatever she's wearing.


Personality:  When you first encounter Setsuna, you will notice that she is a very smart and sophisticated woman, who carries herself with an ageless wisdom and grace that most people wish they could have and they wonder where she gets it from.  She tends to be a very private and mysterious person, not revealing most things about herself to the outside world.  This is probably due to her spending a good majority of her time alone.  Most that have encountered her and talked with her will say she talks so much, but reveals so little.  She's graceful, reserved, and extremely dedicated to her duties - which happen to be guarding the Doors of Space-Time.  At times, she can come off as an emotionless and morbid person but in reality she does have a kind and gentle spirit for the friends that she does have, including one small little pink haired princess from the future.  Her appearances are rare and few, but when she does appear it usually means that something big is going to happen so you would do best and listen to what she has to say.


Setsuna does have a kind and gentle spirit, having all the patience in the world for someone or something, no matter how big or small it is.  She has a weakness for children it seems, finding the younger generation pure of heart and spirit, the ones who will carry the weight of the future world on their tiny shoulders.  She wonders sometimes what it’s like to be that age and be so innocent and free without a care in the world, wondering if she was the same way once.  Even though she is friends with the Inner Senshi, she is much closer to the Outer Senshi as friends and in a way as a family being that the three of them raised the young Hotaru together after Tau Ceti was banished.  A motherly side came to being during this time, one that Setsuna herself isn't ashamed of having.

She has a deep sense of loyalty to both her fellow Senshi, and the Royal Moon family (both past and present).  She holds that particular group in the highest reguard, and will go at any lengths to protect them, knowing how important the Line of the Moon is to the future.


Any Unique Abilities/Skills:  Setsuna has the ability to perceive time and space quite differently than everyone else.  Being as connected to Time and everything associated with it, she can see future events coming and see into the past as well but will often choose to be very vague on revealing information concerning the future.



History:  Thousands of years ago, Princess Pluto lived as a normal girl on the planet Pluto under the gentle hand of her mother.  Rumors swirled about her father being the god Chronos, that her mother had lain with the god to give birth to Pluto herself.  She lived a normal life, up until the moment when she was chosen to be the avatar and the guardian of her planet.  With her new duty set in front of her, she bid her mother and those present at the time goodbye, grabbed the time keys and vanished to her realm to guard the massive stone doors.  A short time after, or perhaps a moment after, she was asked to open the doors and looked upon the face of the young Queen of the Silver Millennium herself, Queen Serenity.  This was the moment that she was told of her duties and given three rules to which she must abide by.  (Which she ends up breaking all three in the end.  ^>^)One, she must never travel through time.  Two, she must not abandon her post at the Door.  Then the final rule is she must never stop time.  If she stops time, her life is forfeit.  With all that laid before her, she began her lonely vigil over the Doors of Space-Time and everything within the realm that she resided in.


Everything was quiet, until the eve of the Silver Millennium’s demise.  Pluto could do nothing, say nothing as she watched the shining kingdom full of hopes and dreams…and those she held dear to her heart fall to pieces.  She watched the Prince and Princess die on the steps of the palace, and watched the Guardian Soldiers fall besides them.  Her talisman began to resonate, calling her to the other two that were singing the same song, and she appeared on the broken surface of the fallen Moon Kingdom with Uranus and Neptune as the three of them summoned the last of their group.  The god of run, the Soldier of Silence, Sailor Saturn.  With only enough time to smile, she vanished back into her realm and watched as Saturn brought her Glaive down and brought all to ruin.


And there within Time, Sailor Pluto stood vigil, ever lonely, waiting for the time when everyone would be reborn again.  They were, much to Pluto’s delight.  But she knew she could only watch and observe what happened, not step into time and join the fight.  Beryl fell with ease to the Princess and her court, and the past was set to rest.  And from there on, Pluto stood at the doors, ever watchful in her lonely vigil.  That is, until a little pink haired princess from the future stumbled upon the Doors of Space-Time and met Sailor Pluto herself.  It was her first actual visitor in forever, and Pluto gained a fondness for the little lady she dubbed ‘Small Lady’, even teaching her magic words to make her happy.


Then came the fight with the Black Moon a time after, enemies from a far future that had yet to happen.  It was during a particular fight with the twisted version of Chibiusa, Black Lady, that Pluto made her first actual appearance in real time itself since the fall of the Silver Millennium, leaving Diana to guard the gates for her as she made her way to where things were happening.


What she saw made her blood run cold and forced her into action before really, really bad stuff happened.  Putting the two Ginzuishous together would be disastrous, and Pluto knew there was only one way to stop the madness.  So she spun her staff and summoned the power of her planet, stopping time.  But it came at a hefty price; her life.  If you asked Pluto then, she would have said it was all worth it to save everyone.


Pluto was reborn however, turned back into the rebirth cycle, in the same dark skinned body to be given a chance at life again.  This time, an actual life, not eternally guarding a set of stone doors for all of eternity.  This time she was a student at K.O. University studying, of all things, spacial distortions around a particular area.  Her awakening though as Sailor Pluto came while she was having her energy sucked out of her by a Tellun Plant she had purchased.  On the verge of passing out, she started to remember her past as Pluto and why she was reborn here on the planet.  Her awakening also called out and brought Haruka and Michiru to her, gathering the three together for the first time since the past.


Needless to say, and to make things short, Saturn was awakened again at the harkening of the talismans and brought ruin to the world, sending Pharaoh 90 back to where it came from.  With much grief in her heart and under Saturn’s orders, she summoned the Doors and sealed Saturn and Pharaoh 90 within.  After Saturn’s rebirth, the three Outers left to raise baby Hotaru on their own, fighting through the enemies of the Dead Moon, gaining new powers and a new sense of self along the way.

Storyline Specific Information:  
 
Hotline Tokyo - The Dead Moon Circus has been defeated, but Usagi and the senshi are still not done with their work.  Home Phone, a popular telecommunications company, has been stirring up trouble in Tokyo City, causing civilians to act upon their darkest desires, wearing masks and wreaking havoc among the city.  It's up to the Sailor Senshi to find and stop their leader, Schwarzpferd, and discover why these civilians are all being brainwashed into doing such horrible deeds.

Senshi Fuku:  
Planet Sailor Pluto - her fuku consists of two colors, black and a burgundy red.  On her feet are a pair of knee high black boots with a white ^ trim at the top.  The skirt around her waist is black. The belt around her waist is white and plain with no decoration on it, except for the silver chain of keys she's constantly wearing.  Her bodysuit is white and in a bathing suit style but is missing the shoulder coverings that you see the others typically have.  in future forms she does have shoulder coverings, but in this her most basic of forms she doesn't.  Her gloves are elbow length, white, with black cuffs at the end.  On the front her bow is a burgundy red with a garnet red circular brooch in the center.  In the back her bow is burgundy red with the tails of the bow just stopping short of the end of her skirt.  Her sailor collar is black with no stripes on it.  Around her neck is a black choker with a circular red jewel hanging from it.  On her ears are strangely shaped red jewels.  Finally, across her forehead is a golden tiara with a red oval shaped stone in the middle.  the fuku all on its own is snug enough to show off her slender body, but practical enough to let her run around on the battlefield without having to worry about tripping on any long materials.
 
Around her waist is a silver chain with several silver keys on it, all miniature versions of the garnet rod she carries with her.  Each key is attuned to the rod in her hand that is always with her.  She can easily find a lost key wherever it may go.  Kinda like a homing beacon.  No one may cross time without one, otherwise they will be lost in the ever changing time stream with no hope of return.  Her weapon, the one that allows her to open and shut doors (and clean up storms and other such messes within the time stream itself), is aptly called the garnet rod.  It’s a tall silver staff in the shape of, appropriately, a key.  It stands just about as tall as she is and looks just as menacing.  Situated at the top is a silver heart-shaped frame with a softball sized garnet sitting within it.


Crystal Sailor Pluto – The only real big difference here is the added scalloped clear shoulder coverings that she gains, a star on her choker, and a heart shaped brooch in the center of her bow, colored black.

Princess Pluto – She wears a long black dress that just barely brushes the floor that is held up over her shoulders by two black straps with small golden clasps on them.  A ribbon is tied around her neck with the ties falling to her calves.  A clear, transparent cloth is attached to the back of the dress, flowing along with it.  On her arms she wears a pair of elbow length black gloves and her shoes are high heels in the color black.


Powers:  
Dead Scream – The only Senshi attack that is whispered, not spoken aloud like the others.  She aims the Garnet Rod at her desired target and launches a mauve-colored ringed ball of energy at them.  In the manga it appears as bolts of energy.

Dark Dome Close – An attack used mainly to close the Doors of Space-Time.  The incantation to do so goes like this: "Great guardian deity of time and space! My father Chronos! Give me power! Close the door of the broken law! Dark Dome Close!"


Garnet Ball! – A defensive maneuver shown only in the manga.  What it does is creates a mauve colored shield around Pluto and whomever else is standing close to her.  It’s able to block most attacks and carry people to safety, if they are falling from a great distance.


Time Stop! – This is Pluto’s forbidden attack, used only to stop Time for those she chooses.  Punishment for using this attack is death.


Chronos Typhoon! – Sends out a mauve colored tornado of energy at her desired target.


Weapons or Magical Items:  
 
Garnet Rod – It’s a tall silver staff in the shape of, appropriately, a key.  It stands just about as tall as she is and looks just as menacing.
 
Garnet Orb – One of the three talismans used to summon the Holy Grail, and Saturn herself.  It sits at the top of her staff in a heart shaped frame with a softball sized garnet at its center.
 
Time Keys – A silver chain with small ruby stones that have small silver keys (in varying shapes) dangling from it.  Having such a key in your possession ensures your safety in crossing time and will guarantee your return to the Guardian if you should get lost.
 
Pluto Henshin Wand (Planet) – A purple wand with a purple ball sitting at the top with two smaller ones on the side and a gold star bearing the symbol of Pluto on top of that.
 
Pluto Henshin Wand (Crystal) – A black heart shaped crystal used to transform to her Super Sailor form.

RP Sample:  Setsuna sat upon her plush leather couch in her apartment, a book settled into her hands as her eyes skimmed the pages.  She had been sitting here for god knows how long, reading this book she had started days ago.  The TV was on in the background, but Setsuna hardly paid much attention to it, except when it came to the few news reports of strange and horrible acts by citizens of Tokyo for unknown reasons.  Her eyes flicked up to the TV as she listened in on the reporter drone on about the latest news about this before it switched to something else.


Her eyes narrowed slightly at the TV.  The city was in an uproar and no one knew why.  As she felt her thoughts start to drift, thinking on the hows and whys of the situation, the phone rang.  She startled a bit, nearly dropping the book she was reading before quickly putting her bookmark (a pink Hello Kitty affair) inside and set the book down, quickly racing to the phone and picking it up.


"Hello?  Oh, Professor Satchi, it's you.."

She trailed off, glancing to the window of her apartment as a flash lit up the room, followed by a rumble of thunder.  Today was going to prove to be very interesting indeed.

Perhaps mention that Setsuna is closer to the other Outer senshi, and tied with her weakness for children she has a motherly side that comes visible when she raises the reborn Hotaru with Michiru and Haruka. Could you also note that since becoming a fashion designer is Setsuna's dream, she combines comfortable and stylish clothes in her style?

I made the changes needed.    Thank you for liking the background story.  I always liked the manga backstory for her, so I used that and just expanded it (making sure it made sense in the scope of the series).
