Okay guys!

This is the main planning thread where you can pitch ideas for activities that you want to host for GC's 3rd Anni. The event will be taking place 7/14 - 7/28 which gives a lot of wiggle room for multiple events (so you may host more than one if you want) and to space things out.

The main thing we want to do is plan activities to obviously honor GC, Sailor Moon, and SMC (naturally). So if you have anything you'd like us to do this anni, def. feel free to pitch it here!

 

You know what sounds cute? A birthday cake designing contest for GC.

I was thinking, and I'd like your guys' feedback on if it's a good idea or not, but that a eye makeup look inspired by your favorite senshi would be awesome! Like a Sailor Chibi Moon look or Sailor Venus inspired look. And you can only use eyeshadow color shades that are found on the senshi's fuku! But I know a lot of the, do this in real life and post pictures events don't get that many people ^^;;; What do you guys think? ^^

^ that actually sounds like a fun idea. i would love to create a look inspired by this. <3 or we can use those papers that mac uses or something. like this and then they can use a graphics program or colour it in. sorta like to end up like this in a way. c:

@Mars ayyyyye we can just reuse the cake simulator that I'm using for the birthday bash.

Also thinking of hosting an Anniversary Special Guess the SM Quote Game.

Can we have a GC appreciation thread too? For people to just say the nice things this forum has done for them over the years? I'm sure everyone would love the chance.

I like the appreciation thread idea. I am thinking of ideas to contribute, I am unsure if I will be able to help with this but will try.

Will there be stars of the cauldron awards?

I kinda want to do something to honour all the forum couples. XD

i really wanna do a graphic contest this time around. i'm still debating over ideas and stuff.

i had an idea....but i think it was for something else lol. what about a 5 word story.

That might work for the makeup thing! But I dunno if people would be interested in it ^^;;;;

I'd however, like to at least do a drawing contest. A lot of the art contests we have are either graphics or colorings. I'd like to do a real drawing art contest =D

I think I'd like to do either little crossword puzzles or maybe wordsearch puzzles where I'd use various contest themes throughout the past year, big topics/threads, maybe sections of the forum, and things like that for the words/answers to the puzzles.

What about just a small story? They have the week to write it, like put a cap on it lets say 500ish words, give them a theme and then vote on the best stories at the end of the week?

Alright ya'll! I'm starting a list of what event everyone is hosting! So be sure to let me know which event you'd like to host!! I'm going to list you as the host of the event unless you specifically say you're just suggesting it! If you see your name on the first post and you don't wish to host it, let me know!

I'd like to host maybe a guess the character type thing, where I give people clues in the chat box or in the forums, which ever, and they have to guess who the character is.

I'd like to second Hikari's question. Will there be Stars of the Cauldron awards? I know that I missed the anni last year, but I know what those awards are/were. And they were an awesome idea.

And yeah, the appreciation thread is a very nice idea as well, I'd love to see that happen.

A thought, what about if I made some sprites to give out during the event? I have no idea what they'd be, but if anyone likes this idea, maybe they could help brainstorm some ideas??

There will be awards! There will be nominations and voting for them. And if you want to announce them, there's a sign up thread for it ^^

I had an idea and forgot it already. Is anyone doing a writing contest?

Is Neptune going to do special guess the songs?

Could we do something like the secret Santa from advent, but limit it to online gifts....just an idea.

Neptune mentioned in the chat box one night she wanted to do another karaoke night ^^ So I'm assuming she'd like to do that, but she hasn't posted yet ;-;

What about sprites of the girls in like dark purple spacey dresses/outfits? Sorta inspired by the Galaxy Cauldron in the series itself? I dunno how hard that would be to emulate in a sprite form though, but it was the first thing to pop in my mind when I read that xD

I could be a sort of back-up if anyone needs it.  I know that during the Olympics, a lot of people had to drop out of hosting a contest, so I could be someone who steps in for them.  Just a thought   

Also, I would really love a karaoke night!  This is my first year here, so I'd like to see how that works.  I'm getting so excited just reading everyone's ideas!

idk how those(karoake nights) worked.. do you guys do them on tinychat or skype?

The previous ones have been done on tinychat. Basically members have done live covers of songs, and discussions have been held by typing. Everyone who participates (members are also welcome to join for chatting and listening to others' covers) has the freedom to choose whether they will only turn on their microphone or web camera, too.

I can host a puzzle game again. Im also free for a back up host, I can help with graphics, if that's needed too. Other wise please feel free to point me in a direction and tell me where you need me. I'm really up for anything that's not overly time consuming like bingo..
