Hmmm, "favourite" is a hard one for me to decide on. XD I've made tons of Sailor Moon fan characters over the years.

One of the characters I think back on fondly was named Sailor Solstice. I was lucky to be able to roleplay in a very active story. Having such an active game made it a lot of fun, because I was really able to explore the character. I was, hmm, maybe fifteen when I was playing that game? The character herself was hilariously Mary Sue-esque in her original profile--kind of like an idealized blend of Princess Serenity and myself, but she evolved quite a bit during gameplay. It was definitely one of the most active games I was ever a part of, even during my roleplaying heyday, and I often miss having so many roleplaying friends to write with and brainstorm with.

I've always preferred my characters that were part of a storyline that I remember as fun. n_n

I created mine out of a roleplay my best friend and I started that lasted years. She was my first Sailor Moon otaku senshi and is still around today but she has certainly changed a lot.

I've only created one otaku so far, soo... >_>

Anyway, my first step was definitely finding her origin. I've always liked the story of Andromeda, and the idea came to me to turn that story around; from the helplessness of a woman who needs a man to save her to a story of an awakening where she ends up saving herself. After all, that's generally what Sailor Moon is about. I built her character around the mythology and the elements present in the story, and the rest is history.

I may have several other otaku ideas running around that I've yet to fully develop. Mostly though, my starting point is the core element (what senshi is she?) and then work from there.

Well, pretty much all of the otakus I have created are based around planets from Doctor Who and the aliens that live there. However, since my favorite Dr Who monsters are the Daleks, that one is the most developed. I pretty much took the basic personality of a Dalek, tweaked it a bit, and worked from there, and eventually Sailor Skaro was born.

My first otaku characters (twins based on a combination of Dragonball Z, Sailor Moon, and the Animorphs o.0) were essentially a way to get me to fall asleep at night when I was in elementary school. I needed a story to keep me occupied until I fell asleep, so I created my own based on my favorite series at the time. From there, I created my own world chock full of nuts and otaku characters.

Now, I like to start from a background story or a list of personality traits. But, above all, this character is created to keep you happy. Who could you easily talk to for hours?

Did you ever read someone else's otaku character profile and wish you could tell them how much you like that character? If you want to offer someone an idea for that otaku character, then share your ideas here! If you need some help with your character profile and don't want to clutter your application, this is the best place to do it.

My first fan character was totally inspired by a dream I had in which I was a sailor soldier, and she was simultaneously a glorified me and an amplification of my perceived character faults. XD And she had so much tragic tragedy. I still nostalgically love her, but I haven't had many opportunities to use her since I created her when I was like... 10? XD

Aren't old characters like that great, though? I feel like everyone who's posted so far has a character that kind of dear to his or her heart. n_n

Sailor Biz, aka. Jennifer DuPont was created as a result of my love for business studies and for the DuPont corporation being one of my favourite companies. Saturn did prove me assistance in creating her since I had no experience with Otaku's. I'm just happy that I have an Otaku that revolves around some of my interests. ^^ Although I need to get her character profile done.

I currently have 2 Otaku characters. To be honest, I completely forget the one's name, but I know she has the powers of a T-Rex. She was made for an old RP with a predetermined name, but I plan on re-making her to fit something I want, instead of a themed RP. Sailor Splash was made since my internet name is YumiSplash, hence Sailor Splash with her civilian name being Yumi.  I based Sailor Splash's power on something similar to the character Ezreal, who is a playable character from League of Legends with a power source in his wrist.

And I hope it becomes awesome  I am super excited, but I want to wait until The Collector finishes. Hopefully members bring their Otaku's over to the club house :3 (I want to perhaps invite the other Otaku's in the event IN THE EVENT once everyone is saved  )

Let's revive this thread in celebration of OC October! 

At one point in my life, I had an OC that was a 3-foot story tall tiger, who could not speak. He was not fully grown, perhaps a few months old, and had the name of "Baby". I have absolutely no reason to role-play a tiger cub that is the size of a 3-story building, but it happened.

That sounds pretty hilarious and amazing, Luna!

I have much too much fun creating characters... I definitely don't need any more, and I already have more ideas I'd love to use!
